Fear of Vomiting

This post is inspired by a reader who goes by the name of Anon, who has a fear of vomiting that has gotten worse since she’s given birth to a new child.

The Council says people who are afraid of vomiting usually need to feel more in control in their lives because they feel so out of control when they’re afraid of vomiting. The Council asks Anon to take a look at her life and see if she has a need to control everything going on around her. They say the fear of vomiting is the fear of not being in control, being powerless, and dying.

The Council says Anon’s fear of vomiting in her current lifetime is connected to her memories of sickness, disease, suffering, and death from other lifetimes. They say the reason she’s experiencing this now is because she has a desire to heal these memories. Once she’s able to understand this fear is from other lives it should be easier to let them go of them. It’s only here for her to heal it.

The Council says hypnotherapy would bring much understanding of this fear to Anon and will have excellent outcomes. Anon should begin to read about other lifetimes and how they affect this particular lifetime. They also suggest meditating to try and get a sense of what it’s experience in these other lifetimes, and they close by recommending Dr. Brian Weiss’s books on past lives and hypnotherapy.

Listen to our entire session with The Council (below) to receive all the guidance for Anon and the rest of us, and let us know what you think.

  2. Hello Cynthia, Bob, and The Council,

Asking you this question is very difficult- mainly because I feel like there is something wrong with me. I am afraid that inanimate objects have feelings. I recently got rid of a beloved possession and I have been crying about it ever since. I feel like I did something terrible and I am causing it to suffer. I feel bad for plates that don’t get used and food that doesn’t get bought. I have read about other people who feel this way…people so get sad about seeing grocery carts in the rain or broken balloons. Others who make room for their children’s toys so they can “breathe.” This has become very difficult for me to handle. I am actually taking medication for this problem.
I can’t go to an antique store because I feel like everything in there is sad. Perhaps I am a bit autistic? I’m not a hoarder. I try to consume very few material items because the fewer things I have, the less chance I have of feeling sorry for those items. It’s embarrassing. I’ve been told I’m going off the “deep end” but there are others like me.

I can only imagine that in places where food, shelter, and survival were daily issues, that no one has this issue. Please tell me that discarded items are not sad or lonely. I hope they don’t have feelings. Dear Council can you provide some comfort to me and others like me? Thank you so much.

  3. Finally!

An interesting one that is not a repeat of the same questions many people ask.

Thanks for keeping me on your list.
