Whether to Contact a Guy She Had a Crush On Years Ago
This post answers questions from a reader named Jayden, who recently had three vivid dreams about a guy she had a significant crush on several years ago. She recently discovered he lives practically down the street from her even though they originally knew each other in high school in a town thousands of miles away. Jayden wonders if her spirit wants her to contact this man and see what happens or if this is a coincidence. She’s concerned he may not remember her. Thinking about this makes her feel like a teenager again.
The Council suggests Jayden see her current situation as a wonderful opportunity to help her connect with this man again. And they suggest that before she tries to make contact, she should imagine how she’d like this contact to take place, and imagine the response she receives.
The Council reminds us that there are no coincidences, and that Jayden’s higher self is bringing her to this point because this is something she desired when she was in high school. The Council interestingly says this desire doesn’t just disappear, and now it’s coming to her.
Jayden asks if this person symbolizes something in her life she needs to develop awareness of. The Council says it symbolizes her trying to create happiness, whether with this person on whatever level it can grow into; it is a happiness that was missing when she had a crush on him.
The Council says this is an opportunity for Jayden to have a “re-do”. She knows where this person lives and she can reach out an make contact with him and see what develops. It can blossom, or just be a friendship, but she’ll be able to experience a continuation of what she left behind.
Jayden wants to bring in either a new experience or have some closure with this man. And The Council says again, the way she creates this experience with her thoughts, her feelings, and her beliefs is the way it will happen. With the visualization The Council recommends, they say Jayden can approach this man.
The Council closes by saying that when they come to answer these questions, some people need specific answers that The Council sees are very important, some people need guidance, and some people need to be pushed to open another path within themselves so they’re able to find their own answers and grow.
The Council reminds us that we are powerful spirits and we have all the answers inside ourselves. They are here to help us shake up our reality and find those answers.

Since the blog is currently a project we do in our spare time it can take a while for us to do a session with The Council on a question and then publish a post on the session. Depending on the question and the session it can sometimes take weeks after a question is asked to publish a post with The Council’s answer. Please be patient.
The Council
Cynthia is able to communicate with a group of five non-physical spirit guides in a manner similar to the way Esther Hicks communicates with and speaks for the spirit guides, Abraham, and Jane Roberts communicated and spoke for the spirit guide, Seth. I (Bob) basically interview The Council as they speak through Cynthia during what we refer to as a session. Sessions generally last 5-15 minutes and are usually audio recorded. During the session Cynthia is aware of what The Council is saying and she also receives visual impressions and other types of telepathic communication from them.
The Council’s Basic Guidance
Since we began these sessions with The Council around 2009 they consistently emphasize a few basic ideas that we attempt to summarize here:
1) You are an eternal spiritual being in a physical body.
You are the energy and vibration of continuously expanding love, intelligence, and joy.
Your physical experience in your physical body and your psychological experience of your personality is a small part of the totality of who you truly are.
Let yourself imagine from time to time what it might feel like to experience more of the wondrous totality of who you really are, and don’t be surprised if you are able to experience this more often.
2) You are the creator of all that you experience.
As you open to the possibility your true nature is greater than you ordinarily perceive, it becomes easier to consider the possibility that this expanded you is truly the creator of everything that you experience.
If you’re used to thinking of yourself in a more limited sense, the idea that you are the creator of your experience may be difficult to understand. Our post, What About This Idea That We Create Whatever We Desire, offers insights into this idea.
3) You are here to expand the love you are into physical reality.
You chose, as a spiritual being, to come into this physical reality to experience the joy of expanding the love you are as a spiritual being, into this physical reality. This is your purpose for being here.
Finding Your Way Around the Blog
Home Page
The left-hand column on the Home page contain a long chronological series of posts with the most recent on top. Each post begins with a title. Clicking on a post title will take you to a blog page dedicated to that particular post. Following each post is a Like button where you can indicate to us and other readers if you like the post.
The footer section of each post identifies the date the post was published, the Categories the post has been assigned to, the keyword/keyphrase Tags assigned to the post, and a Comment link. If readers comments on a post, the Comments link will indicate the number of comments. If a post has no comments yet, the Comment link text appears as “Leave a Comment”.
Clicking on the Comments link takes you to a Comment text box on a post page dedicated to that post. Hello all!
Back again, so appreciative of your guidance and wisdom. It never ceases to amaze me how things go as you say they might 🙂
I contacted you recently about a friend of mine who is in love with me and refuses to speak with me. You suggested I try to understand how he might feel.
I’ve recently had an experience with someone that is affecting me deeply…and I suspect I called it in to be able to create that empathy. Is that true?
To explain the situation, I met and have developed deep feelings for an individual that has a more rare condition that essentially causes him to be detached. He’s such a great human-kind, compassionate, as present as he can be. As I expressed my emerging feelings, he shared that he is currently unable to feel anything. He cares-but doesn’t have deep feelings and believes it’s due to his condition. I sense that he doesn’t want to step away from the “relationship” we have going on because he feels it will change.
My question is…what is the purpose of his condition? How could something like this be turned around for someone, when it’s seemingly out of that persons control? Was this situation only to serve me with the opportunity I wanted for creating empathy, or is it multifaceted and serving a more long term purpose?

We wouldn’t say it automatically applies to a guy who had a crush on a girl many years ago, but it could. Wow! I went on the site in relation to a similar situation. I recently connected with a past flame from 20 years ago. We’ve been connected for a few weeks and had spoken on the phone for hours. However, every now and again he gets really mad and twists things to blame me. I met up with him as I now live in a different state and we got along great, but when parting, he would get angry at me again, twisting the story. I suspect he has some mental health issues. When I arrived home, in my own state, we spoke and he said I’m his dream girl, but the biggest issue is that I don’t share the same beliefs. I believe in energy and he is a Christian, which to him is a big no no. He thinks I believe in ‘the air’. I feel so judged by this as I respect he has different beliefs to me, but he’s pretty much cut me off now. He was never like this before, but when we were in a relationship 20 years ago he said I was a witch a few times. Are you able to please tell me what past lives we share and if he will ever accept me for who I am and will he want more. He said he did want more but the only problem is my beliefs. I am also seeing 11:11 everywhere. Thankyou, miss energy
