What Is The Purpose Of My Life Now And In Later Years?

This post answers questions for The Council from an anonymous reader about the purpose of their life.

Anonymous: I’m 79 years old and I wonder what the purpose of my life has been and will be in my later years?

Council: We want to say your purpose was to just come into this reality and live it, and go with whatever you found, experience it, have fun, and meet challenges. There was no particular, “I have to do this or I have to do that.”

So we would say for you to go back to the beginning of your life, as far back as you can go, and start to remember the little things you’ve done, the people you’ve helped, the laughter you’ve had, and the sadness you went through and how you got through it. And then you’ll see what your life is all about.

And while you were living your life, the thought and the wish was always there that you’d help others along the way.

And so at this age, with whatever years you decide to stick around, start planning. Look at what you’ve done, and now have a particular plan for whatever else you’d like to experience. And that’s all you have to do. Think of what you’d like to experience, and have fun with it.

And so we send you all love, and wonderful experiences, and clarity, and fun along the way. Life is always supposed to be fun, even in the difficulty. It’s the way you look at it. And know that no matter what happens, you have the ability to change it.

  2. Greetings to Bob, Cynthia and The Council! I’m curious about my career path, as I’m in my early 20s.

I have always envisioned myself to be internet m-famous, with a YouTube channel. What was my plan for this lifetime regarding my career? What steps should I take at the moment? What should I try and would be good at?

I’m studying Design at University, and I do enjoy making 3D Environment art. I plan to turn these into animation or short videos. But I can’t quite see the next step yet, as I’m not sure what content should I put into these videos. (Besides just showing the pretty art)

I also love doing tarot readings for other people and had a small business before. But haven’t been able to make a stable income. In the future, I want to develop a website and provide my service up there, to connect with people more internationally like Bob & Cynthia.

I’ve always dreamed of combining these 2 interest of mine together, and make money out of it. Being able to be creative, but also able to guide and help people. I’ve been making small progress over the last few years and I learned a lot of new things. But haven’t been able to put the small details into the big picture yet, regarding my career path. Could you give me some guidance? As I’ve been envisioned this fame since I was a kid (even back when Youtube hadn’t existed, I was already dreaming of making videos to post online), I feel like I’m so much nearer to this dream now but it is still not clear yet.

I will graduate at the end of this year, but I don’t feel comfortable with the thought of working at a “9 to 5” job as I’m a very sensitive person. I’d like to find a way to work for myself, work from home / remotely and could still be financially stable. Does The Council see me creating this in the near future?
