This post is inspired by a follow-up question from LearningSoulSite, who asks The Council which of two job opportunities in India will be better for her. One is for a startup IT company in the city where she is already located, and one is for a large IT company that wants her to move to Pune, India, which is a new city for her. LearningSoulSite says she doesn’t want to put herself in a more challenging situation than she’s already in.
The Council says LearningSoulSite has very cleverly created both of these job opportunities. They say the job that would require her to move is what’s wanted by her higher self. It will bring new opportunities, a new city, new friends, and to begin her life again.
They also say there’s no right or wrong answer here. If she’s in a place where she desires the security of remaining in the city where she currently is, this is fine. You will grow with this company.
If you choose the job opportunity that takes you to Pune and out of your familiar feeling and environment, you will be forced to grow and find new friends. If you feel you’re ready for this, that is the way to go.
The decision is yours. Whichever company you agree on, you will start your new life. The one that asks you to move is a giant jump in this reality; it is a lesson in trusting and believing in yourself. The other job opportunity that doesn’t require so much change, you will also grow there, but at a slower pace. Both companies will take you in the direction you need to go.

This post is inspired by a question from a reader named Mary who feels like the professional life she thought she would have isn’t happening. She’s happier now than when she thought her professional life was going according to plan, but she feels like she’s failing to do something that she imagined she was destined for.
The Council says in this lifetime what Mary wants is to just be – no pressure, no crazy deadlines, no living a life that’s not enjoyed.
By relaxing into the joyousness she experiences, she’s teaching the people around her about happiness. She will connect on a higher vibrational level to who she truly is as a spiritual being. She is doing exactly what she’s meant to be doing, even though it may feel otherwise. Just relax into this joyous life that only she has created for herself.
Listen to our entire 5-minute session with The Council (below) on Mary’s question to hear all their guidance, and let us know what you think.
This post is inspired by a reader named Jim, who says he’s struggled with obsessive-compulsive disorder most of his life and asks The Council how he can have less worry and anxiety in his life.
The Council explains that when you know who you truly are, there is nothing to worry about. They ask if Jim understands he is a spiritual being in a human body, and they explain that when he takes his mind away from worry and anxiety and changes the focus of his thoughts to better feeling ones, his life will begin to change for the better. What Jim chooses to focus on will bring him peace of mind.
The Council encourages Jim to have more hope, focus on peacefulness, love, gratitude, the positive aspects of what’s going on, and looking for miracles happening in his life. Concentrate on the support he would get from spirits in human form and in the spiritual world. When Jim can begin thinking about these things his life will improve.
Jim also says he’s struggled with finding his true purpose in this lifetime. The Council says one of the purposes he wants to experience is joy and to have child-like experiences throughout his lifetime, even as an adult. They suggest Jim have a career around children to hear their laughter and join in with them. That is what he wanted to experience.
The Council’s parting advice to Jim is to do the work and he will succeed. Listen to our entire 9-minute session with The Council to hear all their guidance for Jim and the rest of us, and let us know what you think.
This post is inspired by questions from a reader named Amber, who asks The Council if she’s on the right track with her spiritual readings.
The Council says they love getting questions about being on the right track because they say you are always on the right track. You always get to where you want to go. You may take a shortcut or a longer journey, but you are always on the right track. You are just changing with your thoughts how you get to where you want to go. And The Council adds that we change our thoughts by what we believe.
Amber asks The Council if she can eventually make a full-time career out of doing spiritual readings. And The Council recommends with practice they see a full-time career is possible. They see she’s done this in many lifetimes, along with healing, and it should come easily to her.
The Council says how Amber does the reading isn’t that important, and they recommend touching the person’s hand or shoulder to see what kind of images she gets and how she feels. As she does this the images will increase, and she’ll also find she has a lot of healing energy in her hands. The energy and the intention of what she intends to provide for each person, in addition to her guidance for these people, will help her develop. The Council says many people will come to her. This is a great talent Amber has, and she enjoys using it.
When we answer more than one person’s question in a reading (like we do in this session), we generally include The Council’s closing statements in the recordings of both sessions. As we mentioned in our last session, The Council chose to offer a more extended closing than usual. They say everyone in spirit wants us to know they are sending us their support. They think many of us are very courageous for what we choose to experience. And they increasingly hear us say we are finally turning our life experience into something more positive.
And as spirit sends us more energy, more of us are open to receiving this and we’re paying attention to our feelings and our thoughts. And we become more enlightened and take another step home to spirit with more knowledge and love. And each time we return to spirit, we can bring that love with us.
Listen to our entire session with The Council to answer Amber’s question (below) for the full benefit of their guidance for her and for the rest of us. Let us know what you think.
This post is inspired by a reader named Darla who is asking The Council for some career advice. She’s been a stay at home mother for 14 years and loves her children very much, but now she’s ready to re-enter the workforce and she has huge insecurities about what type of job she’d be suited for. She feels lost and like she’s not traveling down the right road to genuine fulfillment, and she asks The Council her main purpose in this lifetime.
The Council begins with a statement that everyone’s main purpose in all lifetimes is to bring the feeling of love into whatever you create. And they suggest Darla begin slowly and perhaps jump around a bit until she finds what gives her the most joy.
The Council says Darla intended to be of service, make a difference, and teach the people she meets how to speak their truth using pictures and stories. If she still feels joy around being with children they suggest she start out by volunteering with them, or possibly young adults or older people.
The Council sees Darla wanted to work specifically with pictures and recommends finding opportunities to teach children to make pictures of what kindness looks like. They say there was also a desire to work with older people who have memory problems and they suggest working with colors to stimulate them.
The Council says Darla has the ability to feel what others are feeling and this is a great gift. They recommend feeling what is needed in each situation, learning more about it, and coming up with ideas to bring out the comfort and joy in each person she works with by talking about feelings that need to be spoken and released or drawing pictures of these emotions. They say this will take time. And they add that of all the things Darla wants to create in this lifetime, trust, love, and safety figure prominently.
The Council says if Darla goes in this direction she’ll open a door within her and find the gifts she needs to bring out the creative side in people. They say this is a big job and it will lead her on a wonderful path, and there will be lots of growth and change within her as she finds ways to do this.
The Council says Darla wants to find a way to teach kindness to the people she meets. And they say as she goes from place to place she’ll see what’s needed and create her own way to bring this kindness out in others.
The Council says if Darla begins in the workforce, even if she finds herself working in a restaurant or a retail store or an office if that’s what’s needed at this point in her life, they say to go with this. But everywhere she goes, without judgement she will see how people treat each other and ask herself how she can show kindness and teach it creatively. The Council says this will take time, but there will be many rewards as Darla moves forward this.
Listen to our entire 11-minute session with The Council on Darla’s questions to receive the full benefit of their guidance for her and the rest of us.
This post is inspired by questions from an Anonymous reader who recently had an abortion and wants to know if she’ll ever have children. The Council says yes, this is planned for. And when she asks if the aborted soul will return to her as her child, The Council says there’s a great bond between these two souls from sharing many lifetimes and they see an agreement between the two of them for this soul to return to her.
When this soul returns The Council says it will be male, and sees them learning much from each other. But mostly this child will come to help Anonymous on her path, and guide her to be different from how she’s been.
Anonymous says she thought she’d find love and get married, and wants to know why her positive affirmations about this aren’t working for her. The Council points out that even though she is using positive affirmations, she doesn’t believe this will happen. They say until she has more positive beliefs, her negative beliefs will continue to create what she doesn’t want.
When I (Bob) ask The Council for advice on how to change her beliefs, they say her affirmations are good, but they advise her to meditate, read spiritual books, and start practicing the manifestation of small things at first. When she can create these small things by thinking of them, and feels grateful when they happen, she will know that’s how she also creates the bigger things she wants in her life.
The Council advises her to appreciate herself and feel a happy vibration as often as she can. And they say meditation will help with this. They advise her to never give up her dream of being married to a man she loves. And they remind her that by feeling this won’t happen, she’s defeating herself.
The Council asks her to focus on the kind of man she’d like in her life, and by feeling this, that kind of man will be drawn to her. They advise her to ask the question in her mind as men walk by, are you the one? And thinking, I’m ready. If she can play this game, this will help her attract the man of her dreams.
And she’s also asking how she can bring positivity and change to her health and her career. The Council says with her meditations, her being more focused on happiness and the kind of partner she wants, and knowing a child is waiting to come to her, there is a new beginning and staying in these happy thoughts will change her health.
The Council asks what she wants to be, and looking for what she is interested in she’ll find it. By putting it out there that she wants a new, interesting career and being ready for this, she can draw this in.
The Council says the changing of her vibration will quickly fix her situation, and they advise her to have fun reading spiritual books, have fun meditating and looking for a new career, and most of all have fun playing the game of are you the one? By believing she’s ready for abundance and happiness, and that she’s ready for a child, all of this is there for her.

Jaqueline’s Questions – Part 2
This is the second of two posts to answer questions from a reader named Jaqueline. In the first post, Trusting You are Spirit in a Physical Body, The Council answers her question about how to connect with inner guidance and find inner peace “even when things seems to be so messed up.”
Jaqueline describes herself as being 23 years old and concerned she hasn’t decided about a career yet. She says, “I know I worry too much and think way too much, but I could really use some clue about what I’m supposed to do in this special lifetime, if I’m going in “the right direction”.
This post describes the portion of our July 24, 2012 conversation with The Council (non-physical spiritual guides) that addresses career and life-direction issues. We found this information personally very helpful and we believe it can also be helpful to others.
At the very end of this post we introduce some new guidance from The Council on the law of beliefs that came at the end of our session on Jaqueline’s questions.
