Is There An Evil Spirit Around Me And/Or My Children?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Sonaliv27.
Sonaliv: Is there a spirit or something around me and/or my children?
Council: There are always spirits around you, and there’s nothing to fear with this. It’s just that you’re one of many who wish to come into this reality and learn to experience more than what’s usual.
You want to experience connections with spirits from other realms, and the spirits there have come to you to help you connect with this. If at any time you feel this is too much for you, or you don’t want this connection, then you can easily ignore this and you won’t create it. There’s no reason for concern that these are what you’d call bad spirits. They’re just here because you wanted this from a spiritual perspective.
When you were in spirit and you were planning your current lifetime, you wanted to come in and then to grow, to experience more, and to be open to new experiences that would help you realize who you are. You wanted to help realize that you’re also a spirit, and you’re so much more than your physical body that you travel around in. That’s why you may feel these spirits around you, but we’d say there’s no reason to be concerned. You’re always in control.
Sonaliv: Is this spirit evil?
Council: This spirit is not evil. There are many spirits that are coming in because they’re part of the agreement to help the ones in the physical to realize there’s so much more. It’s a teacher. It’s here to give you a different experience. You can always go with it, learn from it, and experience it, or take it out of your consciousness. Don’t give it any focus and it will leave.
Sonaliv: How do I make this spirit leave?
Council: Make sure that you truly want this spirit to leave, because you are the creator and you did create having this spirit come into your life for the purpose of learning.
And so we send you all blessings, and all the wonderful thoughts that will help you, the positive thoughts and the feelings that come with them, and the love that’s within you that you can experience at any time you focus on your heart and ask for signs of who you really are. When you do this you’ll experience more joy and more love in your life.

How Can I Overcome Authority Problems With My Students?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Christea17, who works as a teacher who’s having some difficulty with her students. Some of them are very disrespectful, lack interest in learning, and it’s difficult to teach them anything. Unfortunately I feel I lack the authority, strength, and energy I need to change the atmosphere in my classes.
The Council says this feeling of lack is exactly where the problem comes from. If you don’t believe in yourself and what you’re able to accomplish, you won’t be able to manifest what you desire into your reality. What you need to do is start within yourself to be aware of what you want to accomplish. Be aware of the training you have and that you know how to handle this situation.
In your current lifetime you wanted to work with very young children. If possible, we suggest you find a position where you’re working with very young children, even what’s considered daycare, and start there. Build trust in what you have to offer to these children and it will be accepted.
Christea says she doesn’t know how to deal with unpleasant situations. I like teaching, but rarely do I feel like I can teach my students something. Sometimes it’s really depressing what’s going on in my classes. The Council points out that you don’t know if you have the ability to teach and if these children could be interested. There’s so much doubt in your thoughts and your beliefs that at this particular time this teaching isn’t something that will work for you until you work on yourself.
In the beginning, when you get a new class to take care of, show an interest in each child. Instead of going right into the educational requirements, express to these children that you’d like to know all about them. One at a time, have them tell you something about themselves and see if you can connect with that. See if you can say something like, I went through that also, or that’s funny, or look how you turned the situation around and you went through it. What are your interests? Ask your students if they could be in a classroom and could choose what you wanted to learn about, what would that be?
Get more of an idea from the children what they want. The students would begin to see you as someone who’s interested in them, and then share part of your path. What was your childhood like? What do you go through now? Ask them about their interests. This is very important. The way the educational system is now isn’t interesting to most children.
Find ways to get the children’s interest and then teach them a little about what they want. For an hour in the morning you can take one child and talk about what they’re interested in, and tell them as much as you know about that subject. After that you can go into what they need to learn as far as the education system is concerned. The next day pick another child. You can ask them if they could learn anything, what would that be? Always show the children you’re interested in what they want.
The Council says there’s a past life connection in the early 1700s where you were part of a group of children that lived in the same area and had to work to help their family exist, grow food, and make clothing. There was always the thought of going to a proper school, learning in large groups, and sharing knowledge, but this wasn’t possible in that particular life. In your current life you’ve created a situation where you not only want to learn, but you also want to teach. Your doubt of how to do this and how to handle unruly children is part of the lesson you’ve brought into this lifetime.
The easiest way to teach these children is to find things they’re interested in, and show you have an interest in them as people. Always ask them what they want to learn. If they could teach this class, what would they want to learn? And when they act unruly or give you silly answers you can laugh with them and tell them it’s funny, but bring the conversation around to what they’d do if they were the teacher. Get their minds going by imagining what they’d do if they were in charge. You’ll see a big difference. If you can’t handle this right now, we advise you to try and work with smaller and younger groups until you feel more confident. This confidence must come through you first.
Christea17 says, I wish I knew how to deal with these situations better and how to interact more positively with my students. The Council advises Christea17 to be a regular person. Show interest in your students. Tell them about yourself. This will change the atmosphere.
The Council adds that there’s a little exercise you can do. Sit in front of the classroom before you start your lessons. Picture a beautiful green energy in your heart. If there are twenty people in your class, send out twenty ropes of energy from your heart, one to each child in the room. See that rope of green energy going into them, circling around, and coming back to you. Make this connection and this will also help. Everything begins with energy first. The green light energy is healing, it’s love, and it works with the heart.
The Council closes by wishing everyone peace, love, and light. They say have fun on your path. Always look for the fun. The happiness will bring in everything you wish to create, whether you know what it is now or not. Your higher self knows. And when you stay happy it can bring it in.

Do Souls Need Permission from Other Souls to Learn from the Other Soul’s Lifetimes?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Mr. Wheeler, who says since we’re all connected I’ve heard spirits can gain experiences from the lifetimes of other souls by downloading or imprinting another soul’s lifetime into their own soul. And he asks if this is something that requires permission from the soul lending the experiences because this sounds intrusive?
The Council says this downloading Mr. Wheeler is talking about doesn’t exist. When each soul goes through its life and returns to spirit, all the information, all that spirit’s thoughts, all the scenes from that life come with them. Because we’re all one in spirit we can all see what comes back with each soul. There isn’t any hiding what happens in a lifetime and there aren’t any secrets. We all learn from each soul who returns to spirit. The imprinting you ask about isn’t necessary and doesn’t happen. We’re all one and we learn from each other.
On a different subject Mr. Wheeler says he feels like he’s had a lifetime that took place in the early part of the 20th century, perhaps in America. I also feel I’ve had one or more lives around Scandanavia that take place around the last two-thirds of the 20th century.
The Council sees Mr. Wheeler living in America in the early 1900s. In this lifetime you belonged to a group of people who helped new settlers build houses and start farms. You were very good at construction, making plans, and teaching people how to begin a new life. It was in the role of a teacher that you lived that life. We see a life in Ireland that’s connected to this life. Again there was farming and raising animals. You also went around helping people get ahead and learn how to live and support themselves by farming and selling goods.
In your current life it would be good to pick a subject you find pleasure in, whether it’s construction, sewing, cooking, farming, painting, or writing. Learn a craft and help people support themselves, grow, and be proud of what they do. Your purpose in your current life is to bring forward what you learned in these past lives in America and in Ireland. The role of teacher and helper is the choice you made in many lifetimes. Learn something you’re interested in, even if you start it as a hobby, and take it forward and share it.
We don’t see any lifetimes in Scandanavia. What comes forward is the lives that are affecting what you planned for your current lifetime. If you lived past lives in Scandanavia they’re not so important in your current life.

Questions About Creating Other Lifetimes
This post answers some follow-up questions for The Council from a reader named, Hubert, to our post, How Do We Create Probable Selves That Have Different Parents? where we talk about the idea you can create anything you desire. He asks if he chooses to create a reality and he wants certain spirits in that life as family members, are those spirits now bound to participate in that reality simply because he has this desire?
The Council says no spirit is ever bound to participate in a lifetime simply because someone else has the desire for them to be in it. You’d discuss this desire with these individuals while you’re still in spirit and if they wish to participate in that life in order to help you or learn lessons they need to learn, as long as it’s in the direction of what they want to experience they’d agree to be in your life.
These decisions are made in spirit beforehand based on what each spirit wants to learn and if it’s a good fit for them. Consideration is also given to whether you’ve been together in previous lifetimes and you need to work something out or expand on some aspect of what’s already been experienced. If all the souls involved agree in spirit to participate in another lifetime then they would agree that somehow in that life you would meet. Sometimes you know ahead of time when this meeting will occur and sometimes you don’t know.
Hubert says there’s a person he’s calling “J” who he’s somewhat acquainted with and feels a connection to. He asks if he’s shared any lifetimes with her? The Council says there was a lifetime in Ireland that stands out where Hubert had difficulty speaking, had a stutter, and had difficulty pronouncing words so he could be understood. In that lifetime J was a teacher and was very patient with Hubert, helping him to speak and write in order to improve his communication.
Hubert asks if he was to create another lifetime with J as a sibling or a parent, does he create this lifetime on his own or would there be other factors? The Council says everyone creates what they desire and who they want in their life, but it depends on whether J agrees to come into that lifetime again and work with Hubert.
The Council says if J doesn’t want to come into Hubert’s life there are other spirits Hubert has worked with in other lifetimes that would come forward and agree to play the part Hubert wants them to play. The Council adds that if a specific life is desired with J, then the time would come where they both agree on this and create it together.

Who Was I In My Past Lives?
This post answers a question for The Council from a reader named, Mona, who’s been fascinated by the idea of reincarnation for many years and is interested in learning who she was in her past lives.
Mona was the wife of a Roman soldier who had many servants and she was very popular in the courts of the high rulers. But no matter what she did in that lifetime and no matter how she advanced in her standing, it was never enough. The Council asks if Mona is satisfied and grateful for what she has in her current lifetime, or are you always looking for more?
The Council sees Mona was a teacher in the early 1800s and they ask her if she’d like to teach or help people in her current lifetime. Do you like to reach out and be there for people when they have problems? These lives were very good for you and you were very close to spirit and taught love and kindness.
Because these two lives jumped out at The Council they ask in your current life if you experience people that are difficult to be around, can you find the compassion for forgiveness, for understanding, and for helping these people?
The Council adds there was a life where Mona was involved in medicine and helping others. And because she enjoyed this, these emotions, thoughts, and desires are very much with her in her current life to reach out and help in any way. Helping others is the path you wish to be on in your current incarnation.
The Council also sees a lifetime where Mona was a woman who drove a truck and delivered food and donated items to poverty-stricken people. And The Council laughs that Mona loved driving that truck.

What Is My Purpose in This Lifetime?
This post is inspired by a question from a reader named Dianna, who asks The Council what her life purpose is. Diana has been training as a teacher and teaching overseas for the past 5 years. She says she knows we all make soul contracts before we come into this life, and asks what she’s supposed to be doing or learning in this lifetime.
The Council begins by saying many souls incarnate with a soul contract to accomplish specific things they’re interested in experiencing. And there are other souls who wish to create their lives as they go along, without pre-planning before birth what they want to accomplish.
We all plan to bring the vibration of love into our lives, have fun, and not take life so seriously, but this second group of people are free to decide within their current life how they wish to accomplish this rather than pre-planning ahead of time. And The Council says Dianna is one of these souls who wished to create her life as she went along.
Although these people don’t pre-plan what they want to accomplish, they have in common with all souls the desire to learn about an emotion like love, abandonment, sadness, shame, grief, or loneliness, and to turn the difficult emotions around with love.
The Council says Dianna’s purpose in this lifetime is to experience as much as she can and to bring love into these experiences. They say to look for clues in what she wants to do by examining her teaching experiences and the work she did before she taught to see what brought her the most joy. Or she can already have ideas about what she’d like to try but hasn’t gotten around to? And they say Dianna wanted to be a bringer of light, understanding, joy, love, and support for those people she meets along her path.
It’s good for Dianna to work within a community and teach about nature if she hasn’t gone in that direction already. The Council says as she prepared to enter this lifetime there was a great desire to travel and to help the people she met who needed someone to uplift them and give them a new perspective on what they were experiencing.
Even when we make a pre-birth contract and experience our reality the way it was planned, at all times we have the ability to change this pre-planning. With this ability Dianna has the freedom to focus on a particular career, or travel more as she feels the desire to move on. The Council says the choice is always there.
Dianna was able to connect with the spirit of trees and plants and had a green thumb in other lifetimes and this is able to be experienced again in this lifetime as a career or as a hobby. The Council also see more travel would be good for Dianna because that is what was desired. But they add if she finds herself someplace she doesn’t want to move from, this is fine because there wasn’t any plan to live her life a specific way.
Listen to the entire 11-minute session with The Council (below) to receive all their guidance for Dianna and the rest of us.
