Will This New Course Help My Career And To Start My Own Company?

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Pursuing Dreams.

Pursuing Dreams: Hello. I’m a computer science professional and I’d like to get The Council’s opinion on taking a new course I’m thinking about for the last couple of months now. This course is very different from my regular line of work and it’s also very challenging.

I always wanted to study at an Ivy League university, but due to financial constraints I wasn’t able to do it earlier. Now I’m in a situation where I think I can take up this challenge. This is a big shift from what I’m doing right now.

Can The Council please guide me if this thought of taking up a new course and pursuing a master’s degree is something I should go for?

Council: It’s always a wonderful thing to learn something new. We encourage everyone to do that. Keep learning. Keep reading.

We would say what we see for you here pre-planning this life, you thought it would be wonderful to come in and study the science of space and space travel. You wanted to learn about planets, how things are evolving, if there’s life on other planets, and if there are what we’d call aliens here. You wanted to know more than what’s acceptable here. You wanted to go beyond. You wanted to learn about other dimensions.

Any course that would take you into learning about spaceships and how they work, you’d find very interesting. You’d find this very challenging to your mind and this would take you into different fields. Anything to do with space travel, with planetary learning, anything about how to exist in space, anything about whether there’s life in space. That was your pre-planned interest.

If there’s something that’s come up for you that’s new, that you’re drawn to from what you’ve learned and experienced so far in life, we’d say go for it. It’s coming to you for a reason.

But there’s a change that you want. We see here there are many, many possibilities. Don’t just look into one change, but into many different areas that you can go into. You’ll find the answer of which way to start on this new path, but move forward, keep questioning, and keep learning. That’s what you wanted in your current life.

PD: I also wanted to check if this course will help my career and eventually my own company as an entrepreneur.

Council: There are courses that would help you. At this time what we see is really wanted is something brand new, and related to space travel. And this may sound very far out, as you would say, but look into it and see how you feel. But if there is a subject that has your interest, and it’s always because it pops up in your head, or you’ve seen something, or you’ve heard something, take this course. It will be the beginning of leading you to other courses, to other interests, and that’s how you expand. And so, yes, move forward, take classes, and learn.

PD: Since taking this course is going to be a big endeavor for me, I’d love to know The Council’s guidance. Thanks for all you do.

Council: It’s always wonderful to take that big investment and move forward. You will always get pleasure, you’ll always get new experiences, you’ll learn, you’ll feel better about yourself, and you’ll keep moving forward. It will bring you to one subject, then another subject, and another subject, and doors will open.

Be excited about what you can create. Don’t question everything until you drive yourself crazy. And like we always say, “Gee, I like this. It’s exciting to think I can do this.” Then do it. It’s a part of your higher self that’s saying, “Yeah, yeah, you don’t remember in your human body, but we’ve planned this.” So do it. Go forward.

  1. Hi, Anonymous. We’ll be happy to ask The Council if it’s safe to move overseas where your husband grew up when we have time and we’ll post an audio recording of their response as soon as it’s ready. Thanks for your question. Love and light, Bob & Cynthia

  2. Hi Cynthia and Bob,

I no longer feel like I am living in the correct place. I am drawn to relocate to either a new province or overseas where my husband grew up. Moving overseas feels more freeing to me but I am concerned because the country appears to be politically unstable. I feel urged to move quite quickly and am not sure where this is coming from. I was wondering if the council can provide some guidance for me.

Thank you very much! I really enjoy reading all the questions and responses.

  4. Hi Cynthia & Bob,

I asked about a long-term relationship in my future a while back, and recently (after not focusing on relationships for a while), I tried to date again and met someone I thought had some potential. However, it’s been a very brief and confusing experience, and they’ve decided to see someone else. I feel I understand the part I may have played in sabotaging things a bit, but I can also see that they have baggage that makes us incompatible (at least for now).

Is this just another short learning experience or is there any further potential? At the least, I do feel like this person could become a friend in my life, and I’d like to help them on their journey, but I’m not completely sure. What would be the most loving way for me to approach this connection?

Is there someone else coming in who I would be able to build/co-create in a longterm romantic relationship with? What is blocking that from coming in?

  5. Hi, Pursuing Dreams. We understand space travel may be unexpected as a career for you right now. We’ll follow up with The Council when we have time and ask them if they have any more specific recommendations for you about getting into space travel and we’ll post an audio recording of their response as soon as it’s ready. Thanks for your follow-up question. Love and light, Bob & Cynthia

  6. Thank you! I have a follow up question if you can please discuss this with the council.

The council suggested Space travel and I need to understand how to get into that field. Like they said – its very far fetched from what I do right now.

The course I had in mind was Management related courses, since that was advised earlier. I can do remote education since I am not in the position to leave my job now. Can the council please suggest if I should do a specific course for Space travel, if so please tell me what kind of course would be beneficial. Or if I should go ahead with certifications in management related course and that may open up my next job opportunity in Space travel.

Thanks for being amazing and helpful, love and light!
