What About the Strong Emotions in My Recent Dream?

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Core, who had a recent dream where they woke and felt strong emotions. It felt like the dream actually happened. Maybe not in the exact form of the dream, but a similar scenario.

The Council says there was a lot coming from your subconscious, which is trying to deal with your emotions. It almost feels like your heart, where you store emotions, sort of exploded. A mish-mash of emotions and ideas that were coming through the subconscious in this dream.

These emotions are for you to feel, then release, and see what energy it’s bringing up for you in this particular life. What images do these feelings bring up? Where are they taking you?

There were other emotions in that dream that were also trying to come through. Some emotions from past lives, some from your current life, but more than a message from another life or from spirit, it was your subconscious trying to grab onto some idea and some feeling you could work on. There were many feelings that were trying to come up in this dream – love, abandonment, relationships, and self-doubt.

The best advice we can give you is to find the feeling from that dream and meditate on it. In your meditation ask for images. Pay attention to how these images make you feel. Go into that feeling. When you go into the feeling, different ideas and images can pop up. But because there was an intertwining of so many emotions, we suggest working with one emotion at a time.

And rather than going by the emotion in the dream, go by what’s going on for you in your everyday life. What emotion do you feel? Why do you feel it? What kicked the emotion off? It’s as if the emotions you have inside you that you want to deal with in your current lifetime are exploding all over the place.

Your job in your current life is to take stock of what you’re feeling on a daily basis because there’s so much going on. What are you feeling? Go into that emotion. Why are you feeling that way? Where do you think this feeling could be coming from? How would you like to feel? Do you want more of this feeling or less of it?

As you go through each emotion, picture yourself letting it go so your energy can become lighter. You make room for more clarity and more love to come in. It’s the lesson of searching. It’s the lesson of acknowledging and accomplishing what you wanted in your current life. And because there are so many emotions that you’ve gone into in other lifetimes, it’s all coming up at one time and you’re having difficulty handling it. As we said, there was such an explosion of ideas, emotions, and images that wanted to come through. The only way you can start to go through this is to understand how you feel on a daily basis.

At some point in your day if you feel anger, ask yourself what set that off? If you feel love, what set that off? Think about what you want and what you don’t want. Ask yourself how you can replace what you don’t want. Say the words, “I’m releasing energies from past lives that are hindering this life. I’m healing them and letting them go.” As you think of this, clarity will come and one emotion at a time you’re life will move forward. It’ll put you in a place where you can absorb the lighter energy and create happiness. That is what you and your subconscious are trying to get you to do in this lifetime.

Core says, I’m wondering if this dream is just a story created from my subconscious doing its normal processing, or perhaps it actually happened to me in some form, maybe as a past life or a parallel life? The Council says it’s definitely part of the normal processing. The story is from your many pasts. There are lives that touched on this dream, but we have to say here, it’s not the lives that are important. It’s the feeling.

We always bring you to a place where whatever you’re going through, you better understand what you’re trying to do, and how it affects your current life? Emotions are what you’re trying to heal in your current lifetime. You went through something similar in other lifetimes, but that’s not important. What’s important is the feeling you woke up with. Work on that.

Every day take time to examine what you’re feeling, even if it’s only ten minutes. What are you feeling? Why am I feeling that? It helps your subconscious to try and pull everything together, and it helps you know what’s affecting your life and the way you feel. You want to grow. By examining your feelings you are acknowledging yourself, understanding yourself, and healing. This is what’s important right now.

Core says, I’m also curious to know about the person who appeared in my dream. The Council says this person that appeared in your dream is a combination of many people you’ve dealt with in other lifetimes. Your subconscious brings this through as one person to make it easier for you, but this one person represents many. The Council repeats, forget the person and forget the past lives. What are you feeling? It’s your job to understand your feelings, your emotions, and your thoughts that bring the feeling into your awareness.

The Council closes by saying they can promise if Core does the meditations, and acknowledges their feelings, and tries to figure out what causes these feelings, there will be much growth moving forward and the life Core creates will become better and better.

Can I Remember Dreams About Past Lives?

This post is a little different from previous posts in that it answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Lindsay, who scheduled a private telephone session with us to speak directly with The Council. Linsay has graciously permitted us to post part of her session on our blog. Ordinarily our phone sessions with clients are private and not published on our blog.

The part of the session Lindsay wanted to make public begins with The Council suggesting she and her husband sit across from each other, hold hands, look into each other’s eyes for five or ten minutes, and see what comes up. Is it a feeling? Is it a picture in your mind? The Council adds that this practice can also connect Lindsay and her husband to other lifetimes, which was an earlier topic of discussion during the session.

Lindsay says it’s easy for her to remember her dreams and she asks The Council if it’s possible for her to remember dreams about past lives. The Council says this is possible. They recommend having a ritual before you go to sleep. Lighting a candle, burning incense, setting up crystals, or playing soft music every night for five minutes before you go to bed is a good start. As you’re going to sleep, think about being connected with any of your past lives that will help you in your current life. Do this every night and ask to remember your dreams when you wake up. If you keep doing this your subconscious will open.

Having an amethyst crystal around you will also help you with your seventh chakra and your purpose in life. When you meditate you can hold the amethyst in your hand and see what comes in. If you’re into crystals and you want to learn about your past lives through your dreams, having a piece of kyanite will help you go back to past lives and get information.

Lindsay says over the years she’s had dreams or nightmares about tidal waves and tornadoes that everyone is running from and she’s unable to get away. She asks if these reoccurring nightmares are from a past life. The Council says to see what happens in your life in the days following a dream or nightmare. Dreaming about tidal waves and tornadoes that you can’t get away from usually represent subconscious problems you’re experiencing in your current life that you don’t have the answer to. What is it in your life that’s difficult for you to handle, difficult to understand, annoying, difficult to find an answer to, or put an end to?

How Do I Develop an Understanding of My Subconscious?

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Juan, who wants to develop an understanding of the subconscious. He’s looking for information on its nature and purpose, and he wants to talk to the subconscious and know how it can improve his life.

The Council begins by telling Juan he brought what he’s calling the subconscious with him into this lifetime. They say there isn’t a place for the subconscious; it doesn’t exist in the brain or anywhere in the body. The subconscious is thoughts you want to block out and not deal with that you’ve had in prior lifetimes and this lifetime. The subconscious is you.

The subconscious can show up in your dreams, usually in symbols. Your dreams are you trying to reach the questions you have in your subconscious.

The subconscious is your deep beliefs and questions that your spirit, which also is you, would like you to find answers to. It’s there to help you grow and help you question. Don’t be annoyed or discouraged you’re unable to reach your subconscious.

The best way you can connect with your subconscious is through meditation. Learn more about spirit. There’s no separation where you’re here and your spirit or your subconscious is somewhere else or something else. It’s you coming into different realities with questions that need to be answered.

When you don’t get the answer to a question, it’s still with you and it’ll come up in other parts of your life. It’ll come up in your dreams. It’ll bring you a similar experience so you can find an answer to your questions. What you call the subconscious, which is you, is here to help you.

When you feel you’re having difficulty connecting with your subconscious, write it down. Writing is very powerful. If you want to know what’s in your subconscious, write it a letter. Dear Subconscious, what’s in there I need to know? What thoughts are you holding for me that I can find answers to? How can you show me the way to bring these experiences up again and have the answers clearly shown to me? When you put your questions in writing and read it before you go to bed and in the morning when you wake up, you’re subconscious will open up to you and you’ll begin to see your answers coming through.

If you have a dream you don’t understand write: Dear Subconscious, there’s something in this dream I feel I should know. It didn’t make any sense. What are you trying to tell me? Read your letter several times until your subconscious slowly begins to reveal itself. The reason we say “slowly” is there’s part of you that doesn’t believe you’ll get the answers, or that the subconscious is this strange and mysterious place that won’t help you out.

We’d even suggest when you write to your subconscious instead of saying, Dear Subconscious, you can say, Dear Me, because that’s who it is.

Dream Interpretation

This post answers a question from a reader named Lavender, who asks The Council to interpret her dream about a man who she felt had negative energy. In the dream she was setting up a play date for her daughter and a little girl who lived in this man’s house, but he didn’t want Lavender and her daughter there when they arrived.

The Council suggests Lavender look into her childhood for a person or persons she felt had negative energy and didn’t like being around them? The Council feels this dream represents a memory Lavender is ready to bring into her conscious mind.

The Council says in this dream Lavender had a child she wasn’t sure she wanted in this man’s company and they ask Lavender to think back. Is there something familiar about this? There’s an emotion she’s ready to release about one or more people she didn’t feel safe around.

Lavender says in this dream the man had a large black snake covered in bees around his neck. The Council asks Lavender what blackness means to her, what does a snake mean to her, and what do bees mean? What do they feel like? Answering this question will give her clues to how this dream relates to her subconscious.

The Council says as Lavender examines this dream and the memories it brings, perhaps remembering something she hasn’t remembered before, she can remind herself she’ll always be protected going forward. See what emotions come up. If it’s fear or confusion Lavender can understand it’s from her past and she’s ready to let go of these emotions she has hidden within her.

The Council closes by suggesting that dreams will teach us if we follow them.

Listen to our entire 3-minute session with The Council to hear all their guidance for Lavender and the rest of us, and let us know how you feel about it.
