Why Aren’t My Partner and I Planning to Have Children?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Denisa, who asks for guidance with her relationship with her life partner. We’d love to start a family together, but still nothing happens. My life partner keeps talking about wanting to have children with me, but he also mentions that he’d like my financial situation to be similar to his. I’d also like that, but I don’t know what to do to improve my finances. It seems very difficult for me right now. Is my financial situation the reason we don’t try to have children, or is it something else?
The Council says your finances are part of the reason you’re not trying to have children, and it comes from a lifetime you had as brother and sister in a very poor family. There wasn’t enough to eat, there wasn’t enough clothing, and you had no education. You were the older one and took care of your brother. You found the means to feed both of you and move forward in life. You were the one who took care of your brother.
In this life your boyfriend has the subconscious memory of the previous life. He desires you to be in a better financial situation, thinking this will take care of you both going forward in this life. Your boyfriend doesn’t want to have children where there will be an experience of lack. It’s the memory of you taking care of him, and that’s what’s causing this delay with children and with wanting you to have a better financial situation before you go forward.
It’s not that you have to do better financially. It’s that your boyfriend needs to deal with his issue of being able to independently take care of you and a family. That’s what he wanted to learn going forward. In that past life you took care of him. In this life he wanted to take care of you. And yet these memories are within him and so he can insist you do better financially.
This is where the hold-up with having children is coming from. If you both can agree on it we suggest you have children now. Your boyfriend will learn he can fulfill the role of being the breadwinner, being independent, learning how to be a family man, and learning how to take care of himself, you, and your children.
Denisa asks, Have my boyfriend and I agreed in spirit to have children in this lifetime? The Council says yes. You both want this a great deal, but there are the memories and past lives you need to work through. You need to understand where this desire for your financial stability comes from and you both need to let go of this.
Denisa asks, What can I do to improve my financial situation. The Council says that isn’t necessary. That isn’t what you need to do. What is meant now is to have conversations and be in a place where you can express that the financial situation you have, what you make now, is more than enough for now to start a family. Eventually we see you can make more money, but what’s needed is to express that your situation is okay and you believe he has the ability to take care of you, himself, and a family. Give him the confidence to go forward with this. This is what was agreed upon.
Eva says, It seems to me I don’t know which way to go. I’m thinking about writing a book about my childhood, what I’ve been through, and what I’ve learned from it. The Council says writing is very powerful, and writing is energy. We’d say write about your childhood or anything else because you’re putting more energy out and that will bring you more financial success.
Eva asks, What is the main purpose of our relationship? The Council says to be supportive of each other. Support your partner with words that give him confidence. Your partner wanted to teach you to be the supporter, the one who listens to the questions, the one who’s able to talk about what’s worrying both of you. You would bring guidance to your relationship. You’d make things are clearer for him to give him the opportunity to grow. As you listen to him and give him confidence, you are growing also because you’re fulfilling what you both agreed to.

Doubts About My Future Career
This post answers questions from an anonymous reader who asks The Council to address some doubts they’re having about their future career. I’m working on imagining a career in the arts, which is what I want, but all I’ve realized for sure is that I want to be able to work every day with my partner, probably from home.
The Council asks if you’ve done anything to start imagining this? Have you made any plans for what you want to work on, because the decision is all yours? What do you want to work on with your partner? Have you taken little steps to begin this? Have you made plans about this? This is the beginning of how you create what you want in your life.
The anonymous reader adds they want to work at different kinds of things that will add variety and excitement to their life. The Council asks what this is and suggests writing it down. How many different things would you like to do? Don’t limit yourself. See it and have a plan on how you’d start each thing, and how one thing would be incorporated into another. It’s the planning that starts the energy for you to manifest your desires.
Anonymous says, I’d love to do creative work, but I can’t seem to settle on just one medium. I’d love to write children’s books, but I also want to teach at a private level and the university level, and perhaps enlarge my own little online craft store.
The Council says you don’t need to settle for only one medium. Imagine it all. Imagine what you create first. Do you write a book first? Do you teach first? You can create anything. It takes focus. Just put it out there you’d love to do all these things. Right now you don’t know how this will happen, but you want to do all of it. Be positive and feel your desire to have these things happen. See how each thing you want to manifest looks. How do you feel when you’re doing each thing? Create what you desire in energy first.
Anonymous says, I’d also like to have the financial stability to both dabble and live a slower life. How attainable is this kind of life for me? The Council says this kind of life is attainable for you. Your financial situation is very good now. Be grateful for this and then take it further. Imagine it. Pretend to see a bank statement with the kind of money you want in it. Don’t think of what you have now as not being enough. Be grateful for what you have and see it grow. This is how abundance will come to you.
Anonymous says it feels exciting to think about the different possibilities and The Council says this excitement is what will make the possibilities happen. Anonymous says, Especially since I found an old house in Japan that’s my ideal place to live. I keep imagining living there and making a school out of an old storehouse. But I’m feeling like I did when I was younger where I know the end goal, but I’m not sure how to get there.
The Council says you don’t have to know right now how to get where you want to go. Just keep thinking of what it will be like. Imagine how you’d decorate this house. Think about whether you’d buy the house or rent it. How would you start bringing people in to teach different subjects that would be of interest? Imagine how would you bring this into your life. Imagine yourself living in this house. What kind of neighbors do you have and are you friends with them? What’s around the house? Where do you shop? Where do you go for fun? Make your creation bigger and bigger and it will come.
Anonymous says, I’m trying to daydream a lot and stay positive, but sometimes I feel anxious about not really knowing where I’m going. Are there any other kinds of activities I should be doing besides positive thinking, daydreaming, and doing things I enjoy to help me connect with my new path, and maybe that gorgeous old house?
The Council says to write it down. Write the address of the house down. Write how you’d go about buying this house. Write about how you’d travel there. Write down what kind of career you’d want to have. Make a business plan of how you’d start this new creation once you move to Japan. When you write down words it’s very strong. It helps the energy that comes from your visualization. With your visualization you’re creating on another level. You’re creating with energy. Writing it down, whether drawing or writing the words, creates in your physical reality. By doing both you help create your desire.
Anonymous says, I think I’ve been pretty successful manifesting financial abundance and opportunities. But part of me worries that will become more difficult if I step off my current path since it’s one that offers so many privileges. The Council says instead of being grateful for what you’ve already created, by worrying about your situation you’re already bringing in fear it won’t last. You’re worried if you do something different it won’t be as good. These thoughts must change.
Anonymous closes by saying, Ideally I’d like to have enough money to live slowly and easily. Do you have any advice for me regarding manifesting this, or ways to continue experiencing financial abundance? The Council says all the direction you need is what we’ve already told you. Go into it slowly. Have fun with it. The lighter you can feel about what you’re creating, the faster it will come to you. Create in energy and create in the physical. Use both ways to create.

Why Can’t I Find Employment in the Field of Archeology?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Indiana Jones, who says they have many interests but they don’t work out, even when I’m passionate about them. I’ve completed a degree in Archeology and have tried everything to increase my chances of gaining employment in this field and in museums, but after seven years I’ve been unsuccessful. I’ve studied other career paths and I’ve not been able to gain employment in those fields either.
The Council says you’ve done Archeology in other lifetimes. In an ancient Egyptian lifetime that’s related to your current life, you helped to build tombs for Pharaohs and their gold. You located places in the desert where tombs could be buried. This love of what you did in Egypt has come out in your current life.
At this point we’d suggest joining organizations like cruises that take people around the world. Take any sort of touring job, learn everything about it, and then be able to take people around. This will give you a lot of movement and travel, which is what you wanted in this lifetime.
You also brought the ability to teach many different subjects into this lifetime. Learn about what’s going on in the world now and teach about it. Even if you did this in small groups or started to read about something and tell your friends about it would be helpful.
Going on trips will bring you to a place where something in the field of Archeology will open up. But first go on tours for a short time. Find jobs where you can learn about different places. Even if you were to work in a museum and be a guide and learn about history and different places, it will bring you to what you wanted to experience again in Archeology.
You also have a talent for writing. Whether you write poetry, or make up stories, or write about places that you visit, you have the ability to go in that direction.

What Path Should I Pursue This Lifetime?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Cristiana, who needs some guidance on which path she should pursue in this lifetime. I have lots of skills and interests and therefore many options, or so I think. I’m also very scatterbrained and feel my life is very fragmented in a kaleidoscopic kind of way.
The Council says this kaleidoscope effect is because you brought talents into your current life that you had from other lifetimes. What you brought in to explore this time was an interest in writing, painting, dancing, and the healing arts, whether it be mainstream healing or alternative healing.
Because you brought in so many interests, as your life progresses you’d see which interest drew you to it. Any of these fields would be good for you to start playing around in. You’ve done all of these interests in other lifetimes and were very good at them. If you moved forward with any of these in this lifetime you’d be very successful and enjoy it.
Cristiana says: Which direction should I channel my energy and focus into? For a long time I’ve been dreaming about getting in touch with my artistic side, but it’s not my only calling. I feel pulled toward many activities. I wonder if artistic expression is something I should take seriously, or if it’s just meant to be a hobby. Is there some work from past lives I’m supposed to pursue?
The Council says there’s nothing you’re supposed to pursue. You wanted the choice to do many things that you enjoy. You may want to experience one or all of the interests you’ve brought into this life. Go with whatever you feel drawn to. You also had a great interest in running and exercising.
Start slowly and go into each interest following your feelings. After you done it for a while you may love it, or had enough of it and then you can move on. Now you know what you’ve brought in to explore in this life.

How Can I Get Unstuck on My Divinely Inspired Project?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Taylor, who’s been working on a divinely guided project for a few months, but the project is stagnating. She’s still working towards this goal, but feels like she’s hit a block and she asks The Council where her focus and efforts need to be right now, and if there’s anything that needs to be addressed before she can move forward.
The Council says coming into this reality Taylor wanted to feel her own power. You wanted to feel you were connected to source and you could make wise decisions. Does your path make you feel good? Ask yourself if you get excited about what you’re trying to create now? In your wildest dreams, what would you add to your project?
Go into every detail of your project and take away what needs to be taken away. Add to your project what needs to be added. Always ask yourself if your plans are finished. Do you really like what you’ve created? Or is this just the beginning and do I want my project to bring me more? Do I want my project to change and am I open to that change?
The best thing you can do right now is to start asking yourself these questions. The answers are already within you, but you need to focus. Whether it’s meditation or sitting quietly, you need to focus and ask yourself these questions.
Writing is good for you. Perhaps you can sit at a computer or sit with paper and write a question about where you’re trying to go with this project, and then wait. Think about this question. Send it out to the universe. What kind of ideas come into your head? These ideas don’t need to make sense at first. Ask who you’d like to be working with on this new idea that’s coming to you.
Continuously ask yourself where you want to go and what do you want to do? Is there more than one thing that I want to do? That would be wonderful. Ask these questions with each topic you’re thinking about working on and bring your focus with the ideas into your conscious mind so you can allow yourself to make the right decisions.
This project is your purpose and it’s what you wanted to experience. You wanted to be creative. You wanted to have many ideas and you wanted to know how you could make decisions. Sit quietly and get these answers. When you get these answers and you move forward, you’ll feel that powerful feeling that you wished to have in your current lifetime.

How Do I Develop an Understanding of My Subconscious?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Juan, who wants to develop an understanding of the subconscious. He’s looking for information on its nature and purpose, and he wants to talk to the subconscious and know how it can improve his life.
The Council begins by telling Juan he brought what he’s calling the subconscious with him into this lifetime. They say there isn’t a place for the subconscious; it doesn’t exist in the brain or anywhere in the body. The subconscious is thoughts you want to block out and not deal with that you’ve had in prior lifetimes and this lifetime. The subconscious is you.
The subconscious can show up in your dreams, usually in symbols. Your dreams are you trying to reach the questions you have in your subconscious.
The subconscious is your deep beliefs and questions that your spirit, which also is you, would like you to find answers to. It’s there to help you grow and help you question. Don’t be annoyed or discouraged you’re unable to reach your subconscious.
The best way you can connect with your subconscious is through meditation. Learn more about spirit. There’s no separation where you’re here and your spirit or your subconscious is somewhere else or something else. It’s you coming into different realities with questions that need to be answered.
When you don’t get the answer to a question, it’s still with you and it’ll come up in other parts of your life. It’ll come up in your dreams. It’ll bring you a similar experience so you can find an answer to your questions. What you call the subconscious, which is you, is here to help you.
When you feel you’re having difficulty connecting with your subconscious, write it down. Writing is very powerful. If you want to know what’s in your subconscious, write it a letter. Dear Subconscious, what’s in there I need to know? What thoughts are you holding for me that I can find answers to? How can you show me the way to bring these experiences up again and have the answers clearly shown to me? When you put your questions in writing and read it before you go to bed and in the morning when you wake up, you’re subconscious will open up to you and you’ll begin to see your answers coming through.
If you have a dream you don’t understand write: Dear Subconscious, there’s something in this dream I feel I should know. It didn’t make any sense. What are you trying to tell me? Read your letter several times until your subconscious slowly begins to reveal itself. The reason we say “slowly” is there’s part of you that doesn’t believe you’ll get the answers, or that the subconscious is this strange and mysterious place that won’t help you out.
We’d even suggest when you write to your subconscious instead of saying, Dear Subconscious, you can say, Dear Me, because that’s who it is.

How Can I Receive Spiritual Gifts if I’m Afraid of Them?
This post answers questions from a reader who calls themself, Bumble Bee, who enjoyed our post, How Do I Interpret My Dreams and Enhance My Psychic Gifts, because it caused them to think about their own spiritual path and gifts. Recently Bumble Bee has been exploring emotional and mental challenges related to their past traumas and realized they haven’t allowed themself to feel pain in order to protect themself from this trauma. But this strategy also prevented Bumble Bee from experiencing joy and pleasure. As Bumble Bee explores these challenges they feel they’ll experience spiritual gifts and they’ll be able to communicate with beings in other realms, but they’re frightened by this possibility and they’d like to be better prepared for what may come.
The Council reminds Bumble Bee the reason they chose to go through these traumas was to have the experience of it, learn from it, and then help others who are going through something similar. And they say the only thing to be frightened of is whatever they can create in their mind. If you continually fear evil spirits, you’ll bring this into your experience. Focus on what you desire and reach out to spirits that are in the light.
The Council recommends reading as much as you can about life forms you’ve heard about to bring it more into your awareness and into your reality. If you want to reach life forms from your past or even your future, any sort of regression work will help.
Bumble Bee asks what spiritual gifts may emerge? The Council says be aware of ideas and dreams of different places and write about them. If you need help writing it’s good to take writing courses. If you wish to connect with the life forms of trees or plants, that’s possible for you to do. Read about these and feel their energy. You’ll get visions and you’ll know things about this sort of life form.
Bumble Bee asks how they can allow their spiritual gifts to manifest even though they have fears about this? The Council advises knowing you are a powerful spirit who’s alway in control of what you let into your reality. Stay in a positive reality. Positive thoughts and the energy of love will bring you only what matches this vibration. Think about other life forms out there that are wanting to give and receive love.
Bumble Bee asks how they can grow their gifts and their relationship to spirit? The Council says meditation is a good way. In other lifetimes when you were connecting to spirit you’d eat plants, light candles as offerings, and burn incense. You can try something similar in your current lifetime. Your higher self will remember how you connected before and will make it easier for you.
