Why Am I Plagued With Injuries That Prevent Me From Running?

This post answers questions for The Council from an anonymous reader about their running injuries.

Anon:  I’ve been plagued by running issues lately. Running is critical to my mental and physical health. It’s also time spent connecting with friends.

Council: A belief that you have is that running is critical for you. When your spirit is ready to change that belief, which we see is coming up, you will change the thought that it is critical. It is not critical. It is a belief. Slowing you down by not having you run is your higher self telling you there’s more to learn, there’s more to do. And so when you don’t slow down and look at your life and at options, it’s common to have something happen that will slow you down.

And so we’d say meditate and examine the thought: Why do you think running is critical to your health? Believing this will make it critical, but there’s nothing critical to your health. What is critical is what you believe. And so when you believe you are spirit, you are in control. And it’s possible it’s time to let up on the running, maybe just for a while, and learn something else.

Anon: Why do I keep injuring myself while running?

Council: To give you more time to explore.

Anon: My knee, my foot, it’s driving me crazy. I don’t have time or money for physical therapy and I don’t understand why it’s necessary.

Council: It’s necessary because you need the time to discover more about yourself, to discover more interests, to perhaps change your path and increase what it is in your life, and to practice manifesting what it is in your life. And so that is why this is happening.

Anon: Aren’t our bodies meant to be in motion?

Council: Some bodies are and some aren’t.

Anon: I feel like my vibration is highest when I run often, so I’m trying to understand where these barriers are coming from.

Council: Ahh, so you’ll find a way to feel a high vibration without having to run. Very interesting.

Anon: I’ll take it easy, but then can I meditate myself back to a near-daily run?

Council: You can, but your higher self knows what you’ve planned before coming into this reality. And so trust your higher self. Meditate. Instead of meditating on running again, meditate to see how to expand. What’s out there that your higher self, which is you, has planned for you in this lifetime? What a wonderful adventure that is.

When you meditate, connect with your higher self and say, “Show me the way. What is it that we planned?” And let go and relax, and don’t be consumed about having to run. You’ll find your world expanding and you’ll learn more about yourself. And so we say relax and meditate.

Look how smart your higher self is when you’ve planned something and you aren’t heading in that direction. So something is created, which is the knee, ankle, and leg problems, to have you go and find the time and go in the direction of the things you wanted to learn. It’s a wonderful gift.

And so we send you blessings, and joy, and love, and the ability to have wonderful memories, to laugh, and hope, and stretch out your hand and help each other, and enjoy this life that you’ve created. Remember, no one creates for you. It’s all up to you. The people around you that you’ve chosen to be in your life have agreed to come and help you. They’ve agreed to learn from you. There are things that they need from your experience. And so you are all there, everything is planned with love, and when you go back into spirit you’ll go: “Wow, what a trip.” So enjoy and have fun.

How Can I Bring More Friends Into My Family’s Life?

This post answers questions for The Council from an anonymous reader who asks: Can The Council advise me on bringing more friends into my family’s life? I’m not lonely, but I’d love a stronger community and other families to share experiences and friendship with. Is manifesting a matter of meditation, or visualization?

Council: Manifesting first begins when you can raise your vibration. The easiest way to do this is to think of things you have and enjoy, or things you’ve experienced that you’re grateful for. And the more you’re grateful, the lighter your energy becomes. Your energy becomes a magnet for what you wish to attract. Manifesting first begins in happiness, gratitude, and joy, and then just focusing on what makes you feel this way.

We can tell you to go out and join groups and you’ll meet a lot of people, and that does work. But before you run anywhere, start doing the work in your mind. Meditate on it. See it. See yourself happy and with new friends. Create in your mind what you want to experience in your physical reality. Your physical reality must follow your thoughts. Focus on bringing in more friends for yourself and it will happen.

Anonymous: Can I manifest friends for my husband and children, or is that not allowing them to be on their own path?

Council: You can’t create for anyone else. You can hope they get to a place where they’ll create it. All you can really do is send them lots of love so they can take that love in and then create something they wish to create. Maybe they don’t want more friends, or maybe they do. You can support them just by sending them love, and then concentrate on what you want for yourself.

We wish you all love, and light, and happiness, and gratitude on your path, and to be supportive of one another, and to love yourself as well as others in your life. Remember every single day, you are all spirits in a physical body, and you’ll create everything you focus on. Even if you focus on something negative, you will create that.

Have positive thoughts, laugh as much as you can, have fun, remember the wonderful and happy memories, and stay in the positive.

What’s The Best Way To Ask For Something You Want To Manifest?

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Jess, who says: I recently saw a video about manifesting your desires and I was wondering something. In this video a person said the more detailed and specific you are with your desired outcome is a slippery slope, especially during challenging times.

For example, instead of saying you want wealth and abundance, you say you want a specific amount of money by a certain date. They say it’s okay to be detailed and specific with your outcome, but your specificity is limiting the universe. Another example is, you say you want a specific person for a romantic partner. By doing that you’re limiting the universe to one specific person, even if you love this person, their knowledge, and insight.

I was thinking about this because I also read a book called, It Works, by R. H. Jarrett. In it the author talks about being very detailed in your desired outcome, including when you want it to happen. I love this book and most of the information in it, but these are two conflicting ideas about manifesting. I was wondering what The Council can tell me about manifesting. Is it better to be more detailed? Or is it better to just say you want wealth and abundance instead of saying you want a million dollars? Are you limiting the universe by being more specific and detailed in the desired outcome?

Council: We say here that it’s all according to your belief. There are many people that have a strong belief that every detail they can want, they can manifest. And that will work for them. Other people would say you’re limiting the universe by asking for something very specific.

The universe knows what you want, and it will send you the visualizations you put out into the world. You can say to the universe, I want a partner in my life and I want you to send the most perfect person for me. And that will work for that person because that’s what they believe.

Either way works. You have to choose what’s more comfortable for you. When you think about what you want, what gets you more excited? What makes you happy to think about it? Is this person tall? Are they blonde? Are they skinny? Are they a millionaire? Or you can think, go ahead universe, you know what I want. Send me the most perfect person. Both ways work. It’s all according to what you believe and what makes you feel good.

There was one person who put out to the universe that they wanted a partner, and got the most wonderful partner that they could have created with their own mind. There was another person that went detail by detail with their outcome. In two weeks this woman wanted to meet the most perfect man in her life. He had to look a certain way. He had to have certain characteristics. Everything was wonderful, but because she went detail by detail, she forgot to specify anything about this partner having a job. She attracted a partner who was perfect, except he didn’t have a job, and this caused the relationship to fall apart. If you’re afraid you’ll forget something, just ask for the most perfect person for you.

You can’t limit the universe. The universe knows what you want and it will go by how you feel. Just know that what you are asking for is coming to you and be happy with that.

Do You Need to Think About a Desire You Want to Manifest 24/7?

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Peace, who asks if you want to manifest a desire, do you have to think about it and visualize it twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week? Or can you focus on it and feel excited for fifteen minutes a day and let it go?

The Council says fifteen minutes a day is wonderful. Five minutes a day is wonderful if you think of what you desire and also think you’re creating what you desire. Some people would love thinking about what they desire all day long, and that’s wonderful. But when you think about it, feel it, see it as if it’s happening, like you already have what you wish to experience and know that it exists – when you know you’re creating what you desire – that’s all that matters.

Peace says it’s not always easy to stay in an excited state. I’m trying to manifest fixing my physical condition. Does The Council see me achieving this? The Council says if you do the work we’ve recommended, if you see your physical condition improving, if you can laugh and smile and know it’s improving, and you can be excited that it’s now in the world of energy, once it’s created there it must come into your physical reality.

Bob asks The Council if they have any suggestions for Peace if she notices she doesn’t feel well and is focusing on that instead of feeling better. The Council says when you want something badly you focus on it. But when what you desire doesn’t come as quickly as you’d like, doubt comes in. When you find yourself in the energy of doubt, or not believing you can manifest what you desire, it’s then you need the strength within you to turn these thoughts around. Once you turn them around the energy and what you desire are coming to you again.

Doubts About My Future Career

This post answers questions from an anonymous reader who asks The Council to address some doubts they’re having about their future career. I’m working on imagining a career in the arts, which is what I want, but all I’ve realized for sure is that I want to be able to work every day with my partner, probably from home.

The Council asks if you’ve done anything to start imagining this? Have you made any plans for what you want to work on, because the decision is all yours? What do you want to work on with your partner? Have you taken little steps to begin this? Have you made plans about this? This is the beginning of how you create what you want in your life.

The anonymous reader adds they want to work at different kinds of things that will add variety and excitement to their life. The Council asks what this is and suggests writing it down. How many different things would you like to do? Don’t limit yourself. See it and have a plan on how you’d start each thing, and how one thing would be incorporated into another. It’s the planning that starts the energy for you to manifest your desires.

Anonymous says, I’d love to do creative work, but I can’t seem to settle on just one medium. I’d love to write children’s books, but I also want to teach at a private level and the university level, and perhaps enlarge my own little online craft store.

The Council says you don’t need to settle for only one medium. Imagine it all. Imagine what you create first. Do you write a book first? Do you teach first? You can create anything. It takes focus. Just put it out there you’d love to do all these things. Right now you don’t know how this will happen, but you want to do all of it. Be positive and feel your desire to have these things happen. See how each thing you want to manifest looks. How do you feel when you’re doing each thing? Create what you desire in energy first.

Anonymous says, I’d also like to have the financial stability to both dabble and live a slower life. How attainable is this kind of life for me? The Council says this kind of life is attainable for you. Your financial situation is very good now. Be grateful for this and then take it further. Imagine it. Pretend to see a bank statement with the kind of money you want in it. Don’t think of what you have now as not being enough. Be grateful for what you have and see it grow. This is how abundance will come to you.

Anonymous says it feels exciting to think about the different possibilities and The Council says this excitement is what will make the possibilities happen. Anonymous says, Especially since I found an old house in Japan that’s my ideal place to live. I keep imagining living there and making a school out of an old storehouse. But I’m feeling like I did when I was younger where I know the end goal, but I’m not sure how to get there.

The Council says you don’t have to know right now how to get where you want to go. Just keep thinking of what it will be like. Imagine how you’d decorate this house. Think about whether you’d buy the house or rent it. How would you start bringing people in to teach different subjects that would be of interest? Imagine how would you bring this into your life. Imagine yourself living in this house. What kind of neighbors do you have and are you friends with them? What’s around the house? Where do you shop? Where do you go for fun? Make your creation bigger and bigger and it will come.

Anonymous says, I’m trying to daydream a lot and stay positive, but sometimes I feel anxious about not really knowing where I’m going. Are there any other kinds of activities I should be doing besides positive thinking, daydreaming, and doing things I enjoy to help me connect with my new path, and maybe that gorgeous old house?

The Council says to write it down. Write the address of the house down. Write how you’d go about buying this house. Write about how you’d travel there. Write down what kind of career you’d want to have. Make a business plan of how you’d start this new creation once you move to Japan. When you write down words it’s very strong. It helps the energy that comes from your visualization. With your visualization you’re creating on another level. You’re creating with energy. Writing it down, whether drawing or writing the words, creates in your physical reality. By doing both you help create your desire.

Anonymous says, I think I’ve been pretty successful manifesting financial abundance and opportunities. But part of me worries that will become more difficult if I step off my current path since it’s one that offers so many privileges. The Council says instead of being grateful for what you’ve already created, by worrying about your situation you’re already bringing in fear it won’t last. You’re worried if you do something different it won’t be as good. These thoughts must change.

Anonymous closes by saying, Ideally I’d like to have enough money to live slowly and easily. Do you have any advice for me regarding manifesting this, or ways to continue experiencing financial abundance? The Council says all the direction you need is what we’ve already told you. Go into it slowly. Have fun with it. The lighter you can feel about what you’re creating, the faster it will come to you. Create in energy and create in the physical. Use both ways to create.

Creating When You’re Depressed, and a Relationship Question

This post answers a follow-up question and a new question for The Council from a reader who goes by the name, Marylander, who says The Council makes sense when they say Marylander can create things even though they’re depressed. It’s the small things Marylander says they manifest okay, but the bigger things they have more difficulty manifesting.

The Council says they hope Marylander understands that how you manifest the little things, which is by thought, and visualization, and feeling, is the same exact process you use to manifest the larger things. It’s your beliefs that keep you from thinking you can only manifest the little things.

Marylander thinks they have a victim mentality and it’s easy to fall into a pattern where everything and everyone is against them. The Council suggests Marylander use discipline during these times by acknowledging these depressing thoughts and then change what you’re thinking about. Go to a happy thought, or a fantasy, or a beautiful picture in your mind that brings you some joy. This helps you be in control. You can then make your situation lighter or bring yourself out of depression by changing the feeling.

As you realize you’re in victim mode or depressed, determine what you’re thinking and realize you have the power to change your situation by changing your thoughts. Then be aware as you change your focus, how your feelings begin to change.

Next Marylander asks why they were so attracted to the person they call, “L”. Marylander says they felt a strong need to have L in their life and it became unhealthy for them because L didn’t want to be with them. Marylander feels like L stole their chance of being happy. The Council says L isn’t responsible for making Marylander a victim. L is remembering on a soul level what the two of you had agreed to in spirit. Not wanting to be with you is exactly what the two of you had planned.

The Council sees four previous lifetimes you shared with L where they were your mother, your father, your husband, and a wealthy financier. In the last case you were an orphan and were adopted by the financier who took care of you. As your husband, your mother, and your father the spirit who is L also took care of you.

In your current lifetime you both agreed you would be the strong and independent one and come together as friends showing L how strong you are. That’s the reason you aren’t together in a relationship. If you wish to have a strong friendship with L you have to work on your depression and your thoughts of being a victim. You have to become strong and show L the independent and decisive person you can be. This is what you have planned in spirit. But your life hasn’t gone in this direction so far. The Council says knowing this and doing the inner work to change yourself, it’s possible for there to be a change in the relationship.

The Council says L wants to fulfill their part in your current lifetime by not being the stronger one and taking care of you the way they did in previous lifetimes. By not being in a romantic relationship with you L is allowing you to change. But if you stay in the role of victim, what you both planned for this lifetime isn’t taking place and The Council thinks you’ll have an opportunity in another lifetime to be strong and take the dominant role in your relationship.

The Council’s parting words for Marylander are to be aware of how you feel as often as you can. Ask yourself what you’ve been thinking that’s responsible for how you’re feeling. If you’re thinking thoughts that bring you down, depress you, and hold you back from moving forward with your life, then remember to do the inner work of changing your thoughts.

Can I Manifest If I Have a Mental Illness That Prevents Me From Feeling Joy?

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader who goes by the name, Marylander, who asks: How does manifesting work if you have a mental illness that prevents you from feeling joy or staying in a good state?

The Council asks if Marylander is never in a vibration of joy? Do you never feel a moment of peace, or love, or happiness, or something that interests you and takes your mind away from sadness? Look for these moments and hang onto them as long as you can.

You can manifest when you’re sad or depressed, but it takes a longer time. If you can’t feel the joy you need to feel to manifest what you want into your reality, then try believing it’s somewhere within you. Look for pictures that represent something you’d like. Make a scrapbook. Look at these pictures every day and imagine how nice it would be to manifest what these pictures represent. This will make your energy a little lighter. You can do this.

Marylander says as a depressed person their emotions are mostly negative. They don’t feel they can control this and medicine makes things worse. The Council recommends becoming very aware of what you feel and then see what you’re thinking to bring this feeling in. Identify your thoughts and the feelings that come from these thoughts. It’s not always easy to come out of feeling down. What’s the opposite of what you’re thinking? What would you like? Make it up. Pretend.

When you want to change something in your life, be aware of what it is. Be aware of how you feel and how you’d like it to be. If you can get a picture in your mind of what you desire, that picture goes out into the universe and tells the universe what you desire. Even when you’re down you can look at a picture and perhaps it will change how you feel a little bit.

The Council says that because you feel you can’t create, they’re here to tell you you can still create. There will be moments of joy. There will be pictures to look at and wonder what it would be like to live like the pictures. This is the way you begin to manifest.

Marylander says there were two people they wanted to be with and they feel guilty they didn’t attract them as a partner. And they wonder if they were able to be more positive, would they have manifested these relationships?

The Council says if the relationship didn’t happen, what kind of feelings did it leave you with? Were you able to get past the “nobody loves me” phase and get to, “this is something I wanted. It didn’t work out. We must have created the possibility before we came into this lifetime. Let me look again and see what else is coming into my reality.” In other words, by focusing on aspects of the relationship that worked, they don’t have to attract the same person, but someone with the qualities you desire.

Marylander says they don’t feel capable of having someone be with them and The Council says this is the main problem. You have to change your thoughts. You are capable of having someone you desire be with you. You have to think of bringing in the right person for you with the qualities you want. And The Council asks what Marylander is bringing to the relationship? When you begin to think of “us” (you and someone else), the energy changes to help you create the someone else.

Be excited about the possibility of these relationships, but if they didn’t work out it was agreed upon in spirit. Your belief system for this lifetime was to become a stronger person, was to let go of doubts, and always know you can create something better than what you’ve experienced. And The Council adds this guidance is for everyone.

Marylander says they’re abandoned and alone. And The Council says how about thinking you’re in a state of creating the perfect partner for yourself. What would I like in this new person? And they suggest Marylander forget the idea of being abandoned and alone.

Marylander asks if it’s pointless to pray when they’re feeling abandoned and alone. The Council says it’s good to pray if you pray with positive thoughts. Examples include: Dear God, please help me. I know you will. I just need to be a little patient. Dear angels, bring the right person to me. I know you’re already doing it, I have to be ready to receive it.

The Council closes by saying the only thing that’s preventing Marylander from manifesting is themself and how they focus their thoughts. The point of being depressed is to learn how to bring love into the depression and to turn it around. And The Council adds to be patient with yourself.

How to Navigate Through a Period of Standstill

This post is inspired by questions from a reader named Sarah who feels like after being drawn to experiences like lucid dreaming, meditation, and connection with her spiritual self, her life has come to a standstill recently and she asks The Council how to navigate through this period of feeling stuck.

The Council says what Sarah is experiencing is what some people call the void. She will feel stuck and cut off, but while she’s in what she calls this stuck place she should review what she’s learned, go deeper into it, and use it in her everyday life.

While Sarah is in this stuck place her spirit is very busy planning the next phase of her life. She is figuring out on a deeper level her path and the direction she wants to go, who she wants to pull into her life, where she wants to live, and what she wants to experience. The Council says Sarah is in a very good place and recommends she have more understanding with people she brings into her life.

Sarah asks how she can connect more deeply with herself and manifest more quickly. And The Council recommends sitting in a quiet place and figuring out how she can know her spirit loves her personality self, but without using any words, just feeling this love in her heart. This will eventually help her feel more connected.

Sarah asks what lessons she’s here to learn. And The Council says her lessons now are to be independent, be loving to herself, and push forward on her path of spiritual growth. And they say on this path she will bring in the right people to help her along her way. Do not look for approval from others. Approve of yourself and you will see yourself move forward.

Sarah asks what she’s struggled with in past lives. And The Council says the past life that’s affecting this life is one of slavery where she suffered without having the freedom to go and choose what she wanted, and feeling very oppressed. In her current lifetime she wants to spread her wings, learn more, be independent, and not need approval from others.

Connecting with Your Higher Self to Manifest the Realities You Desire

This post is inspired by a question from Irina, and her question was inspired by our following thought for the day post:

“It is the spirit’s job to create the perfect life you want to live and to provide you with all the challenges and joy you want to experience. Spirit knows exactly what you want.”

Irina comments that she’s pretty good at manifesting, but it’s much easier for her to help other people manifest what they want than it is for her to know what she wants and set an intention to manifest it in her own life. Irina wants to know how she can connect with her higher self and get the information The Council says her spirit knows about what she wants.
