Ask The Council

What will you ask Spirit?

Why Did I Break My Leg When I Was Hoping To Get Pregnant?

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Shree.

Shree: Hi, all. It’s Shree again. I don’t understand. I’m in hospital with a fracture. The doctors just did surgery. I was hoping to get pregnant, but now I’m going through this. Please help me understand what’s going on.

Council: This fracture is giving you downtime before having a child, and before jumping into a new life that will take you in many new directions with many lessons, a lot of fun, and a lot of challenges. It’s for you to stop and slow down.

And instead of just going back and forth with whatever comes along, in this downtime where you can’t be working, and you can’t be running around and doing things, plan what it is that you want. Be thankful for this downtime. Now, in every way possible, think of the job you would like, and how you’d like your family life to go forward from there.

It’s a wonderful gift that you’ve created for yourself. You’ve allowed yourself time to just relax and really, really, with your thoughts and with your feelings, create the life that you want.

Shree: What about my family? Why do they have to go through this ordeal?

Council: Because they’ve agreed to do this with you. Because they have lessons to learn about this downtime. Maybe patience. Maybe being able to do some more things and help out. They each have different things they want to learn.

And so you created this – and you spoke about it before coming into this life – you creating this is giving them the time they need to create what they want, and to experience what they want. And so you would learn from it, and they would learn from it.

There is no wrong decision, no wrong thing that has happened in your life. It’s all there to push you all forward and help you expand.

Shree: I’ve been trying to rest, as suggested. It’s going to be a long recovery to get back on the road, literally and metaphorically.

Council: So how about saying that you are resting. And instead of it being a long recovery, say, “I will rest. I will enjoy this. I will have good thoughts. And everyone, including me, will be surprised how fast I heal.”

Shree: This feels so stupid and ridiculous.

Council: It’s not ridiculous. It’s exactly what you want. And we ask you now to have fun with it. Change your thoughts and you change your life.

And so we send you all love, and wonderful, wonderful experiences, and clarity, and fun along the way. Life is always supposed to be fun, even in the difficulty. It’s the way you look at it. And know that no matter what, you have the ability to change your life.
