Can I Use The Akashic Field To Communicate With People Who Are Dead?

Stephen: Can the Akashic Field be used to communicate between the living and the dead?
Council: The Akashic Field is the universal memory of everything that’s been done. It’s something you can look into to discover about yourself and others, but to communicate with other spirits, that’s not what the Akashic Records are there for.
If you want to communicate with other spirits, we suggest that you learn to meditate. And do not call any particular spirit forward, but just in your meditations say, “I am available to all the good spirits that would like to come and communicate with me.” And always remember to do this. Surround yourself with the beautiful white light. And with discipline, and it may not happen right away, but with discipline you will be able to communicate.
And so we’ve enjoyed this again and we send you all blessings, and love, and happiness. And enjoy what you’ve created. And if you don’t like what you’ve created, then change it. Change it with your thoughts and how you think.
You’re a great spirit that’s here to learn many, many different things. And you’ve all created this time to come into this reality knowing it would be difficult, and knowing there would be a lot of chaos. But you came in to hold the beautiful light, to love no matter what, and you will see your lives change.

What is the Akashic Field?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Audrey, who asks what the Akashic Field is and how it can be accessed?
The Council says the Akashic Field and the Akashic record are the same thing. This field holds thought, words that are said, and actions that are taken for everything that has ever existed. Nothing dies, nothing disappears. Everything still exists in this field.
To reach the Akashic Field it’s best to meditate on it. You can ask for guidance to reach it. Some people reach it by an out of body experience. Some people reach it by getting information from guides that get them the answers to whatever they wish to see, hear, or know. Many people that meditate on this field have a question and they ask to go to the Akashic Field to find the answer.
When Cynthia repeatedly meditated for about a year, one day without asking she saw herself walking as if on clouds and there was a podium. On the podium was a very thick brown leather book and Cynthia had no idea what it was. She opened the cover of this book and there was nothing there. As she flipped the pages, scenes would go by like in a movie. When the scenes stopped there was the answer to the question she was meditating on. Another time when she was meditating a small monk-like dwarf wearing brown robes with a hood brought her this book. All she had to do was think of something and the scene or the knowledge would appear.
Other people will meditate and feel a lightness. Whatever questions they have they’ll feel a very light energy around themselves and in their meditation or possibly in a dream they’ll get an answer. Everyone will have their own experience of the Akashic Field. It will come in a way that the person will understand what it is.

Since the blog is currently a project we do in our spare time it can take a while for us to do a session with The Council on a question and then publish a post on the session. The Council
Cynthia is able to communicate with a group of five non-physical spirit guides in a manner similar to the way Esther Hicks communicates with and speaks for the spirit guides, Abraham, and Jane Roberts communicated and spoke for the spirit guide, Seth. I (Bob) basically interview The Council as they speak through Cynthia during what we refer to as a session. Sessions generally last 5-15 minutes and are usually audio recorded. During the session Cynthia is aware of what The Council is saying and she also receives visual impressions and other types of telepathic communication from them.
The Council’s Basic Guidance
Since we began these sessions with The Council around 2009 they consistently emphasize a few basic ideas that we attempt to summarize here:
1) You are an eternal spiritual being in a physical body.
You are the energy and vibration of continuously expanding love, intelligence, and joy.
Your physical experience in your physical body and your psychological experience of your personality is a small part of the totality of who you truly are.
Let yourself imagine from time to time what it might feel like to experience more of the wondrous totality of who you really are, and don’t be surprised if you are able to experience this more often.
2) You are the creator of all that you experience.
As you open to the possibility your true nature is greater than you ordinarily perceive, it becomes easier to consider the possibility that this expanded you is truly the creator of everything that you experience.
If you’re used to thinking of yourself in a more limited sense, the idea that you are the creator of your experience may be difficult to understand. Our post, What About This Idea That We Create Whatever We Desire, offers insights into this idea.
3) You are here to expand the love you are into physical reality.
You chose, as a spiritual being, to come into this physical reality to experience the joy of expanding the love you are as a spiritual being, into this physical reality. This is your purpose for being here.
Finding Your Way Around the Blog
Home Page
The left-hand column on the Home page contain a long chronological series of posts with the most recent on top. Each post begins with a title.
