Ask The Council

What will you ask Spirit?

What Is the Relationship Between the Spirit and the Human Body?

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Juan, who asks: If the spirit is the basis for existence and the material world is a testing and proving ground, then is the human body just a vehicle for the spirit? What is the human body without a spirit? Is the spiritless body just a soulless zombie?

The Council begins by saying it’s good to remember you’re not a human being with a spirit, but you’re a spiritual being who’s created a human body, and many people don’t understand this yet. A body is needed to get around in this reality and feel emotions, but it’s the spirit that’s the basis for moving this body around and creating what you experience.

Spirit enters your body and gives it the breath of life. Spirit gives life meaning. Spirit gives your body the light, love, and plan to move forward into this life and what you wish to experience in your body.

Many spirits come as the body is being created within the mother and they hang around the mother and family to see what sort of environment they’d be coming into. Once the decision is made by spirit to come into this human body and this world, the spirit is attached to the fetus by vibration and energetic chords.

When the body takes it’s final breath, the spirit leaves the body. The body is no longer needed for the experiences the spirit wishes to have. Without the spirit there’s no plan to go forward with the body and the only way the body can be kept alive is by life support. The body is an empty shell, but not a zombie, as Juan asks. It’s the spirit that gives the body life.

When spirit is ready to leave the body, but it’s artificially kept alive on life support, the spirit will usually hang around the body to help the family when the plug is pulled and the final breath is taken. The spirit will wait for the acknowledgement of family and friends to know it’s the end, and when the life is over the spirit is free to move on.

Artificial bodies such as robots and androids are now being made, but there’s no spirit in these bodies. These artificial bodies can be created with memory, but there is no spirit in them.

When the spirit fully enters the mother’s body is the spirit’s choice. Does the spirit wish to experience being in the womb? Sometimes the spirit will wait and be around the mother, watching the environment and family, and then go fully into the fetus as the child is ready to be born.

The spirit has choice in all matters. Depending on the agreement the spirit has pre-planned with the parents, the spirit can experience time in the womb, and if the spirit decides what it’s seen going on in the family and the environment is not what the spirit wants, it can change it’s mind at the very last minute and leave the fetus, and this is when the child is stillborn.
