What Was My Career Plan For This Lifetime?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Tam.
Tam: Greetings to Bob, Cynthia, and The Council. I’m curious about my career path because I’m in my early 20s. I’ve always envisioned myself being internet famous with a YouTube channel. What was my plan for this lifetime regarding my career?
Council: You wanted to be very creative. You wanted to use your hands to create something that people would like to see. You wanted to be successful. You are on the path to find out how to do this.
Tam: What steps should I take at this moment?
Council: Well – and you may not understand this right away – but we suggest that you learn about past life regression, and near-death experiences, and you learn about helping others feel this, and see this, and understand it. You want to tell the story.
How you wanted to do it was to draw certain pictures, and perhaps create an animation to show it. So we would say #1, learn about past life regression and how someone can regress themselves. And in the steps you can teach the people, you see steps going down. And you number the steps, and there are certain colors. And when you get to the bottom a door opens, and what is it that you see? So you would draw this. With animation you would create the stairs, the colors changing, and the numbers changing so that people, when they learn how to regress themselves, will know how to do it because you will show it in a video or in an animation.
When you learn about near-death experiences, if someone tells you they’ve had one and this is what happened to them, you can create those pictures with animation. And that is a big job that will be very, very successful. So we would say, in the beginning, start slowly.
Also helping people see in which way their life is going. What do you see so far? So do you see them riding a bike and going down a highway near an ocean? You create the picture. What you see for them, you create the picture, and it helps them to understand more. And this will be very, very exciting.
Tam: What should I try and be good at? I’m studying design at university, and I do enjoy making 3D environmental art.
Council: Perfect.
Tam: I plan to turn these into animations or short videos…
Council: Yes.
Tam: …but I can’t quite see the next step yet, as I’m not sure what content I should put into these videos besides just showing the pretty art.
Council: Well you will learn about regression, and you will learn how to do it. You will draw it, you will make the video, and it will take off from there. You will get more ideas about what to show, how to show it, and people will love this, to connect to their past, and to connect to their future. So you will offer something that’s not being offered right now.
Tam: I also love doing tarot readings for other people and had a small business before, but haven’t been able to make a stable income. In the future I want to develop a website and provide my service up there to connect with people more internationally like Bob and Cynthia.
Council: Oh, this is wonderful. So you use the tarot to get information, and then you draw it. And you would say, “Well, how?” It will come to you, but people will be so happy, not just to get a recording with words, but to get pictures to make it clearer for them.
So you are on the right path. It is a huge dream, and it is possible. Believe in it and you will create it.
Tam: I’ve always dreamed of combining these two interests of mine together and make money out of it.
Council: Exactly.
Tam: Being able to be creative, but also able to guide and help people. I’ve been making small progress over the last few years, and I’ve learned a lot of new things, but haven’t been able to put the small details into the big picture yet regarding my career path.
Could you give me some guidance, as I’ve been envisioning this fame since I was a kid? Even back before YouTube had existed, I was already dreaming of making videos to post online. I feel like I’m so much nearer to this dream now, but it is still not clear yet.
Council: Well we have given you some ideas for you to play with and practice, and the rest will come because it will feel good. And when you are doing something that feels good, more and more ideas will come.
Tam: I will graduate at the end of this year, but I don’t feel comfortable with the thought of working at a 9 to 5 job…
Council: You will create and work for yourself. That is what was planned. That’s what you wanted.
Tam: …as I am a very sensitive person. I’d like to find a way to work for myself, work from home remotely, and could still be financially stable. Does The Council see me creating this in the near future?
Council: Yes, we see that, but only you can make it happen. You need to practice. See it the way you want it to develop. But we have given you some ideas in which direction to take this. And when you move in this direction, you will see the success that you wanted, coming.
And so we send you all love, and happiness, and excitement that moving along on your path, and all good things, all creation that comes to you, will come from higher energy and a higher vibration. And everything you wish to have will be created by you, and only you.

Since the blog is currently a project we do in our spare time it can take a while for us to do a session with The Council on a question and then publish a post on the session. The Council
Cynthia is able to communicate with a group of five non-physical spirit guides in a manner similar to the way Esther Hicks communicates with and speaks for the spirit guides, Abraham, and Jane Roberts communicated and spoke for the spirit guide, Seth. I (Bob) basically interview The Council as they speak through Cynthia during what we refer to as a session. Sessions generally last 5-15 minutes and are usually audio recorded. During the session Cynthia is aware of what The Council is saying and she also receives visual impressions and other types of telepathic communication from them.
The Council’s Basic Guidance
Since we began these sessions with The Council around 2009 they consistently emphasize a few basic ideas that we attempt to summarize here:
1) You are an eternal spiritual being in a physical body.
You are the energy and vibration of continuously expanding love, intelligence, and joy.
Your physical experience in your physical body and your psychological experience of your personality is a small part of the totality of who you truly are.
Let yourself imagine from time to time what it might feel like to experience more of the wondrous totality of who you really are, and don’t be surprised if you are able to experience this more often.
2) You are the creator of all that you experience.
As you open to the possibility your true nature is greater than you ordinarily perceive, it becomes easier to consider the possibility that this expanded you is truly the creator of everything that you experience.
If you’re used to thinking of yourself in a more limited sense, the idea that you are the creator of your experience may be difficult to understand. Our post, What About This Idea That We Create Whatever We Desire, offers insights into this idea.
3) You are here to expand the love you are into physical reality.
You chose, as a spiritual being, to come into this physical reality to experience the joy of expanding the love you are as a spiritual being, into this physical reality. This is your purpose for being here.
Finding Your Way Around the Blog
Home Page
The left-hand column on the Home page contain a long chronological series of posts with the most recent on top. Each post begins with a title. Clicking on a post title will take you to a blog page dedicated to that particular post. Following each post is a Like button where you can indicate to us and other readers if you like the post.
The footer section of each post identifies the date the post was published, the Categories the post has been assigned to, the keyword/keyphrase Tags assigned to the post, and a Comment link. Hi! I would like some insight into my career and ability to create abundance. I appreciate my job in many ways and think I can grow with this company but sometimes I long for something else. I just keep my eyes and ears open for other opportunity or something more exciting and interesting. What might the council see in this?
Also, I have had an unusual amount of strange things happen in the last few months that have cost me much more money than usual. I feel like maybe there was something karmic going on, I have done my best to ponder the lessons. Was this karmic activity? Am I upon a shift in my relationship to abundance? Where can I place my focus in order to manifest what I want? Does the council know of a practice that helps with this?

May I ask a question of the Council, please.
My romantic relationship of 7.5 years ended in Feb. I can’t move on. I feel so drawn, even obsessed that I desire to be this man’s wife. Please help me with clarity..should I continue to specifically focus on a loving wonderful relationship specifically with this specific man or the same wonderful qualities with somone new? I can’t seem to let go of this specific person.

Hi, Tam. We’re glad you found the session with The Council on your question interesting. Maybe it would help if you did a search of our blog for posts about past lives and about near death experiences. You can do this search by scrolling down our Home page (or any page) until you get to a heading titled, Categories, and scrolling down further until you get to a category named, Other Lifetimes, or the Category titled, Near Death Experiences. This will produce a list of our posts on that subject. Maybe some of them will help you see how remembering a past life can be helpful. Good luck.

Oh wow, this came in at such a perfect time. I’m so stressed about this issue lately!
This idea makes so much sense but at the same time not, at this moment hahaa. Past life regression? So strange, I never thought about going down that path though! I will try and let you know. Will be asking more questions about this in the future, thank you so much! But still weird! Why would I do that though 😂 My physical mind is like: Let the past be the past, why would I want to focus on making people remembering their past life?
