Moving Past an Illness Phobia
This post is inspired by a reader who goes by the name, Anon. She says she contacted us last year when she was pregnant with her second child and she was unsure if it was what she wanted. She’s just given birth to a baby girl and says she loves her to pieces. Anon has also been let go from her recent employment and feels unsure where she’s going in her life.
The Council reminds Anon her old life without the new child and with her job has come to an end and she’s creating a new beginning. Sometimes when you don’t know where you’re going, your soul is putting your life together with the different options you thought of before you came into this reality. This is her situation now.
The Council advises Anon to just be and enjoy her life as it is right now rather than looking for another job right away. The direction her life will take will be shown to her in time. Enjoy her baby and in that joy her other answers come.
Anon says she has a huge phobia of being sick. She constantly worries about catching bugs and it takes the joy from parenting.
The Council says if she keeps focusing on sickness her thoughts will bring sickness to her. They see this fear coming from several lifetimes where there was a lot of sickness, but they can see it’s not in her pre-planning of this life. Her body is strong. When a child gets sick, that doesn’t mean she’ll get sick also.
She’s had the experience of sickness in other lives and doesn’t need to experience it this lifetime. She’s here to use her knowledge of sickness from these other lives to help family and friends move through it in this life. They say the only way she’d have problems with sickness now is if she continues to focus on this and stayed in this fear.
The Council sees a wonderful and creative life for Anon. They remind her she is the creator of this life and from what they see, she will be pleasantly surprised.
Listen to our entire 8-minute session with The Council (below) to hear all their guidance for Anon and the rest of us, and let us know what you think.
Thank you so much for helping me again. This helps put my mind at ease but I should probably be more specific that my phobia is related to vomiting rather than general sickness and germs. I can cope with my kids being ill with most things but am petrified of vomiting bugs. They spread so easy. I feel it’s inevitable I will catch it off them when it happens.
I try to work on the fear as I agree completely but it is very hard to get control of it.
Thank you and blessings to you
