Where Should I Travel To Or Relocate To Permanently?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Alice, in response to our post, Is There A Specific Career I’m Meant To Do, Or A Place I Should Live?
Alice: This is interesting. I’d also like to know about places I should travel to, or relocate to permanently. And were there any significant past lives?
Council: Well we will tell you. This is very interesting. There’s a lot going on.
If you want to travel, yes, go and do it. Go to Egypt, go to England, go into the Americas where the southern Indians are. There are many, many places. But really what’s going on, in a past life you were a monk in Japan. You lived in a temple and were never ever allowed to leave, and it was always your desire to see what was outside. What would it be like? And that seemed to get in the way of you relaxing and doing your rituals, your daily chanting, and your daily praying as a monk.
So what is suggested here is to travel anywhere just to move, but to go back to Japan, go to the mountain of healing, Mt. Koriyama (Bob’s note: we think they meant Mt. Kurama), and spend time there. Visit as many temples as you can, and see the feeling it brings back to you. You will feel more appreciative now of that time than you did when you were actually living there (in your past life).
So what your spirit is trying now is to go back and find the things that you should have perhaps been appreciating. That is what is happening to you now.
Alice: I feel very drawn to living a nomadic lifestyle…
Council: Of course, you wanted that when you were back in Japan (in your past life).
Alice: …and would like to know some first steps to take. I’m thinking of Egypt as the first country on my wish list.
Council: Wonderful. Go to Rome. Go to New York. Go to India. Go anywhere, anywhere at all because you wanted that so badly, and it was in the way in that last life when you were a monk. It took away a lot of the spirituality you were looking for. It took away the ability to be grateful for a lot of things. And so, this is a time where you do a do-over.
Bob: Any suggestion on how long Alice should travel around to these different places around the world?
Council: Whatever feels right. Always follow your feelings. You can go to one place and then, all of a sudden have this feeling, I have to go back to Japan. I have to go to those roots. I have to find out where I was and what it was like, and that can happen as quickly as possible, as quickly as you want to learn how to appreciate. And so just enjoy it. Travel for as long or as short a period as you need, and it will all come.
And so we send you love, and happiness, and joy, and adventure, and gratitude in everything that you do.
