Does a Physical Body Kept Alive By Artificial Means Have a Soul?
This post answers some interesting questions for The Council from a reader named, Jhendi, who asks if people who are brain dead and being kept alive by artificial means still have their soul attached to their body.
The Council begins by saying bodies that are being kept alive by ventilators are the result of wishes of people around that person. When a body has a brain that’s not working on it’s own, it’s a sign the soul within the body has completed what it needed to do in this lifetime and is ready to leave. Part of the soul remains with the body until there is closure for everyone involved and family or friends are able to take the body off artificial life support, but part of the soul is also able to travel outside the body. The soul has the ability to revisit the current lifetime or past lifetimes in order to begin creating a new life.
Jhendi asks if the soul is able to reincarnate while the body is being kept alive, but the brain is considered dead? The Council says the soul is able to have part of itself go into a new body while a part of the soul remains with the body being kept alive by artificial means to help people handle their grief.
Jhendi asks what types of lessons are learned in these situations where a body is kept alive artificially?
The Council says whatever needs to be learned for each individual involved. Sometimes the soul of the person being kept alive artificially wants the experience of being in one body and creating a different life. Sometimes a body is kept alive artificially so that people around it can learn to deal with death in different ways. Often the soul is there to teach other souls how to release and move closer to their faith. Some souls hang around because there are people involved who don’t understand what’s going on and they’re angry, and until these people begin to work through this anger the soul will remain with the body.
The Council adds that while a body is kept alive artificially the soul is able to return to spirit (while the soul is still attached to the body) and visit with their guides and begins to send healing energy to the humans involved in this passing.
And The Council ends by reminding us there is no death or final ending, only a different way of living. As you leave the life you’ve created, you open to so much more, whether it’s experiencing more love than you ever had in that life, or it’s perceiving colors, tastes, and smells you’re not able to experience when you’re in the human body. There’s no ending to the consciousness of that life or all the lives you had before that life. You’re just going on to another reality that you wish to create.

Since the blog is currently a project we do in our spare time it can take a while for us to do a session with The Council on a question and then publish a post on the session. The Council
Cynthia is able to communicate with a group of five non-physical spirit guides in a manner similar to the way Esther Hicks communicates with and speaks for the spirit guides, Abraham, and Jane Roberts communicated and spoke for the spirit guide, Seth. I (Bob) basically interview The Council as they speak through Cynthia during what we refer to as a session. Sessions generally last 5-15 minutes and are usually audio recorded. During the session Cynthia is aware of what The Council is saying and she also receives visual impressions and other types of telepathic communication from them.
The Council’s Basic Guidance
Since we began these sessions with The Council around 2009 they consistently emphasize a few basic ideas that we attempt to summarize here:
1) You are an eternal spiritual being in a physical body.
You are the energy and vibration of continuously expanding love, intelligence, and joy.
Your physical experience in your physical body and your psychological experience of your personality is a small part of the totality of who you truly are.
Let yourself imagine from time to time what it might feel like to experience more of the wondrous totality of who you really are, and don’t be surprised if you are able to experience this more often.
2) You are the creator of all that you experience.
As you open to the possibility your true nature is greater than you ordinarily perceive, it becomes easier to consider the possibility that this expanded you is truly the creator of everything that you experience.
If you’re used to thinking of yourself in a more limited sense, the idea that you are the creator of your experience may be difficult to understand. Our post, What About This Idea That We Create Whatever We Desire, offers insights into this idea.
3) You are here to expand the love you are into physical reality.
You chose, as a spiritual being, to come into this physical reality to experience the joy of expanding the love you are as a spiritual being, into this physical reality. This is your purpose for being here.
Finding Your Way Around the Blog
Home Page
The left-hand column on the Home page contain a long chronological series of posts with the most recent on top. Each post begins with a title. Clicking on a post title will take you to a blog page dedicated to that particular post. Following each post is a Like button where you can indicate to us and other readers if you like the post.
The footer section of each post identifies the date the post was published, the Categories the post has been assigned to, the keyword/keyphrase Tags assigned to the post, and a Comment link. Hi again,
I apologize if I came across as being inpatient in my question. I have been patiently waiting for almost a month and I only wanted to follow up.
I thought asking a non-personal question about a topic that could be quite important was something everyone could benefit from. Depending on the answers from the Council re: the Annunaki, this information has the potential to affect belief systems and even parallel stories from the Bible. Example being that the Annunaki supposedly have direct ties to The Nephilim, offspring from the Annunaki and human beings, from the Bible. Of course, this all depends on the validity of these stories, which is what I’m trying to find out 😊
You also mentioned you had never heard of the Annunaki before. It’s always fun to learn new things! Below is a link to a plethora of info about them. You might also want to look into Zacariah Sitchen, as I believe he is the person who has done the most research and written books on this subject.

Thank you! I saw a couple of your posts talking about the Pleaidians so I thought you might have heard about the Annunaki. It was Pleadian channeler Barbara Marciniak who first introduced me to the Annunaki. It will be interesting to hear what the Council has to say about them. Thanks!

Hi Bob, Cynthia & The Council,
I would like to ask The Council today about the Annunaki. Is this group of beings real? Did they create humans as their worker force? Is Enlil or Enki considered to be the God in the Old Testament? I suppose a demiurge of sort. There are all kinds of stories surrounding the Annunaki and how we (humans) came to be. Can you shed some light on the Annunaki and whether or not the stories that surround their name are real or just myths/fairy tales. Thank you in advance!
