Question About Past Lives, Mental Issues, and a Future Life
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Jaden, who asks for insight into his past lives, how they’re affecting his current life, and why he chose his current life?
The Council says Jaden agreed to live his current life for the fun of it, to take different lessons and change them for the better, to help the people around him, and to find a way to bring the love from spirit into his current life. Your current life isn’t about past lives. It’s about working with souls you know from other lifetimes to see where you are in relationship to them and to be aware of what you want that they’ve accomplished. They’d be like a teacher to you and open your eyes to things you can create in your life. There are others that will come into your life and you’ll see things you don’t want, and then it’s your choice to pull away from that.
You planned to meet people that would show you a better way to live your life. You wanted to choose spirits, learn where they’re at, and then claim what you wanted for yourself. This whole lifetime you’ll hopefully be meeting people, looking at how they are, what they’ve accomplished, where they are spiritually, determining if their thoughts are positive or negative, and taking what is positive from each person and add it to your life.
In your current life you have a free pass to choose your direction as you move forward. This is a ‘choose as you go’ life. There wasn’t some specific lesson you wanted to learn, change, or heal from a past life. You wanted to move forward and work with spirits that show up. Will you help them? Will they help you? Will they give you ideas about what you want and don’t want?
Jaden asks for suggestions about mental issues he’s going through. The Council says unclear thinking and trust are some mental issues you’re going through. There are emotions that set you off and can bring up a manic or a depressing response. This is from thoughts of lack or abundance you see around you. Find daily things to have gratitude for, even when things don’t go your way, and your mental issues will calm down and you’ll feel better.
The Council says your throat, third eye, and crown chakra need work and they ask Bob to provide their meditation techniques for healing them, which is done in the next post. Healing your throat will help you express yourself better and find creative things that make you happy. Healing your third eye will bring you clarity and help you see and hear things differently. Healing your crown chakra will open you to the energy of your higher self, of your guides, and get you more in touch with your purpose in this lifetime.
Jaden asks The Council for insight into his next life and The Council says that is entirely up to you. At the end of your current life you’ll decide what you want to build into your next life, the spirits you want with you, and the lessons you want to go through. The Council says it’s perfectly proper to think about what you’d like your next lifetime to be like. Nothing is written in stone. You create as you go.
The Council suggests Jaden be in the present, learn from the people around him, and he’ll begin to see things differently. If you stay on the path you’re on, things in your life will begin to change. And you’ll also change the future lives you create for yourself.
Jaden asks The Council where his next life will be because there’s a particular country he has in mind. The Council says at the end of this life when you go back to spirit and you’re ready to create another life, who you are in your current life goes with you back into spirit. All the knowledge, wisdom, and experiences are there and from this knowledge you choose when to go on, how to go on, where to go on, and who to go on with.

Since the blog is currently a project we do in our spare time it can take a while for us to do a session with The Council on a question and then publish a post on the session. Depending on the question and the session it can sometimes take weeks after a question is asked to publish a post with The Council’s answer. Please be patient.
The Council
Cynthia is able to communicate with a group of five non-physical spirit guides in a manner similar to the way Esther Hicks communicates with and speaks for the spirit guides, Abraham, and Jane Roberts communicated and spoke for the spirit guide, Seth. I (Bob) basically interview The Council as they speak through Cynthia during what we refer to as a session. Sessions generally last 5-15 minutes and are usually audio recorded. During the session Cynthia is aware of what The Council is saying and she also receives visual impressions and other types of telepathic communication from them.
The Council’s Basic Guidance
Since we began these sessions with The Council around 2009 they consistently emphasize a few basic ideas that we attempt to summarize here:
1) You are an eternal spiritual being in a physical body.
You are the energy and vibration of continuously expanding love, intelligence, and joy.
Your physical experience in your physical body and your psychological experience of your personality is a small part of the totality of who you truly are.
Let yourself imagine from time to time what it might feel like to experience more of the wondrous totality of who you really are, and don’t be surprised if you are able to experience this more often.
2) You are the creator of all that you experience.
As you open to the possibility your true nature is greater than you ordinarily perceive, it becomes easier to consider the possibility that this expanded you is truly the creator of everything that you experience.
If you’re used to thinking of yourself in a more limited sense, the idea that you are the creator of your experience may be difficult to understand. Our post, What About This Idea That We Create Whatever We Desire, offers insights into this idea.
3) You are here to expand the love you are into physical reality.
You chose, as a spiritual being, to come into this physical reality to experience the joy of expanding the love you are as a spiritual being, into this physical reality. This is your purpose for being here.
Finding Your Way Around the Blog
Home Page
The left-hand column on the Home page contain a long chronological series of posts with the most recent on top. Each post begins with a title. Clicking on a post title will take you to a blog page dedicated to that particular post. Following each post is a Like button where you can indicate to us and other readers if you like the post.

Ok, sorry if that was too much, I just want to ask this. Are there earths where I have incarnated as different people with different parents, and if so how many? When we return to spirit could we be greeted by people who are family in parallel earths?

Thank you so very much for both posts to my comments, I was not expecting so much. I was rather skeptical when I was creating my first post and I was kind of trying to test to see If I would get a cold reading or not. The problems I have include shyness/social anxiety and inattentiveness. Some things really strike a cord in relation to those problems, although I’m not sure If I’m ready to give up my skepticism yet. Nonetheless I do have many other things I would like to ask and would be grateful for a response. Regarding this session you gave an example of a life in England, was that purely a hypothetical example or did I really have one? If so, may I ask when it was and what it was like and what sort of family I had?
There are some other topics I would like to ask about after reading many of your previous posts (which I wish I had done earlier) and reading other material out there. Specifically I would like to ask about parallel earths that may exist. I hear a lot about from other people in the spiritual community of infinite parallel realities, and how one can simply shift to them rather than manifest from scratch to obtain anything one desires. Fredrick Dodson for example wrote a book detailing examples of how he almost became an actor just by thinking, and after imagining a vehicle someone he knew phoned him and thought they saw him driving it in another country. I was wondering if it is true there are infinite earths? And if so, I was wondering just how infinite the possibilities are. I get that my focus really ought to be on the here and now but I am curious about how this relates to our desires. We all see things we’d like to experience for ourselves (especially on the internet) such as images of food from a restaurant or some far away location and think wouldn’t be nice if I got to experience that, but if parallel realities exist then couldn’t there be a version of us that already experienced all that, and when we go back to spirit we have access to that experience? So in that case one wouldn’t need to focus on things like that because, aside from the fact that they don’t need it, they have those things and experiences anyways in another earth and simply aren’t aware?
Also are there earths where I have incarnated as different people with different parents? If so then what would this mean for who we consider part of our family? (aside from the concept that we are all connected, unless this is another aspect of that) If there are other earths when return to spirit could we be greeted by people who are family in parallel earths? And if there are infinite earths wouldn’t the number of different spouses, kids etc one could have from a just single incarnation across the multiverse be pretty significant? Is any scenario I imagine such as being a king or race car driver playing out somewhere on another physical earth not just my imagination? Sorry If that is a lot but I can’t help wonder.
One additional thing I would like to add that may tie it in all together. You mentioned that you create as you go. I read in Brian Weiss’ book, One Soul Many Bodies, about future life progression and how he could show individuals different future lifetimes based on their thoughts in the current lifetime, such as the woman who hated a particular group and what would happen if she hung on or let go of her hate. As you make these decisions in your current life, does this affect your trajectory of which possibility you go to? And do the alternatives still play out in other physical universes?
