What Profession Suits Me Based on Previous Lifetimes?
This post in inspired by a follow-up question from Vacha about what career she is best suited for based on her experience in her other lifetimes.
The Council suggests the best way to decide what career to choose in this lifetime is to do anything and determine how she feels about it. Do you love it? Does it make you feel good? There’s no one career Vacha planned to have in this lifetime.
What did you enjoy as a child? What do you truly love? What brings you peace? What makes time go by without you even realizing it? The Council is here to help her expand, but she won’t expand if we tell her what to do. She is still creating and there are lots of things that go into putting her life together. How to find her way is by loving what she does.
The Council says they’ll send Vacha support and loving energy to bring her to the right place. She’ll grow and have more confidence in herself as she finds her way. Ask herself the questions The Council suggests and meditate on the answers. Experiment and she will find her way.
Vacha also asks what kind of previous lifetimes she’s had and how they affect her in this lifetime? The Council says she’s been a dancer, she’s taught different religions, she’s been a caretaker, and she’s been a rebel. In this lifetime The Council gives Vacha a clue and says she wishes to experience peace. Look in this direction. Meditate on this and she’ll find answers.
Vacha says one of her spiritual leaders in India where she is living said her life would be very different after 50 years old and she’s looking for clarification on this. She also says after her recent abortion and leaving her abusive husband in the USA, she’s been reading about spirituality and feels like she’s growing spiritually.
The Council says Vacha’s life is changing now. It is sometimes said that women don’t blossom until they reach 60 years old. And The Council says if you believe that, then she’ll wait until she’s 60 to blossom. But she’s blossoming now. Look at what she’s creating. And if she’s not fond of what she’s creating, then create again. It is all there for her, The Council says.

Are We Really Channeling Divine Energy When We Perform Reiki?
This post is inspired by some excellent questions from a reader named Marie about a healing technique called Reiki. Marie asks about Reiki’s validity, whether she’s really channeling divine energy when she performs Reiki, and whether the person receiving Reiki can receive the same energy just by meditating and visualizing the energy coming to them.
The Council says there’s a single great healing force. And because of the existence we’ve created on Earth, people are able to tune into this healing energy through many different paths, including Reiki, and we are drawn to the path we’ve used in other lifetimes or feels familiar.
The Council says when you believe you’re able to heal without any formal training it can be done. They say healing occurs by intention, by wanting the best for the person receiving the healing, seeing them whole and getting them to see themselves as whole and healed. Healing happens when our spirit decides to accept this energy.
The Council points out we are already healed and whole. They say what we’re going through creates the sickness because there’s something we need to learn from going through this, but as soon as we remember who we truly are as spiritual beings and decide to let the healing energy in, the wholeness is remembered and the healing occurs.
The Council says many people love the idea of going to school, but they say healing happens whether you are trained or not, because the healing is all around us. They recommend we enjoy the different healing modalities. When we feel the healing, know it’s always there for us and that we’ve decided to let the healing energy in.
In Reiki there are certain healing symbols that are used and Marie asks if they’re necessary. The Council says they aren’t necessary, but if they help you believe you are working with the healing energy and it helps the recipient feel this energy, by all means use them. They add that whatever it is that helps us connect to the idea we can help another, use it.
Marie finishes up by saying after she received Reiki training she felt the formality of the training was becoming obsolete and asks if this is the case. The Council says this is a belief. Believing the formality is necessary makes it necessary, but if you believe the formality isn’t necessary it becomes unnecessary.
The Council says Marie has done healing in other lifetimes and Reiki is how she’s connecting to this healing in this lifetime. If her training enables her to connect with something magical and powerful, they suggest she use the formality.
At the beginning of the session one of our cats began playing with a toy and making noise. When Bob got up to stop the noise, The Council said it’s a vibration of fun and happiness that should never be eliminated and to let the cats enjoy themselves. This is included in the recording below as, 1. “Prelude”. The Council
Cynthia is able to communicate with a group of five non-physical spirit guides in a manner similar to the way Esther Hicks communicates with and speaks for the spirit guides, Abraham, and Jane Roberts communicated and spoke for the spirit guide, Seth. I (Bob) basically interview The Council as they speak through Cynthia during what we refer to as a session. Sessions generally last 5-15 minutes and are usually audio recorded. During the session Cynthia is aware of what The Council is saying and she also receives visual impressions and other types of telepathic communication from them.
The Council’s Basic Guidance
Since we began these sessions with The Council around 2009 they consistently emphasize a few basic ideas that we attempt to summarize here:
1) You are an eternal spiritual being in a physical body.
You are the energy and vibration of continuously expanding love, intelligence, and joy.
Your physical experience in your physical body and your psychological experience of your personality is a small part of the totality of who you truly are.
Let yourself imagine from time to time what it might feel like to experience more of the wondrous totality of who you really are, and don’t be surprised if you are able to experience this more often.
2) You are the creator of all that you experience.
As you open to the possibility your true nature is greater than you ordinarily perceive, it becomes easier to consider the possibility that this expanded you is truly the creator of everything that you experience.
If you’re used to thinking of yourself in a more limited sense, the idea that you are the creator of your experience may be difficult to understand. Our post, What About This Idea That We Create Whatever We Desire, offers insights into this idea.
3) You are here to expand the love you are into physical reality.
You chose, as a spiritual being, to come into this physical reality to experience the joy of expanding the love you are as a spiritual being, into this physical reality. This is your purpose for being here.
Finding Your Way Around the Blog
Home Page
The left-hand column on the Home page contain a long chronological series of posts with the most recent on top. Each post begins with a title. Clicking on a post title will take you to a blog page dedicated to that particular post. Following each post is a Like button where you can indicate to us and other readers if you like the post.
The footer section of each post identifies the date the post was published, the Categories the post has been assigned to, the keyword/keyphrase Tags assigned to the post, and a Comment link. If readers comments on a post, the Comments link will indicate the number of comments. If a post has no comments yet, the Comment link text appears as “Leave a Comment”.
