Ask The Council

What will you ask Spirit?

Am I On the Right Financial Path?

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named Mary, who says she recently sold her home and will be using the proceeds to:

  1. Pay off her debt
  2. Lend her fiancee money to pay off his student loans
  3. Reinvest the rest to build a guest house at their home (presumably a different home)

Mary says she’s anxious whether these are good choices for what to do with the money and she asks if she’s on the right financial path.

The Council advises Mary to slow down, look at the situation, and know there’s a possibility of “blowing” the money from the sale. They advise her to take what she has and learn to work with it. Get a summary of the money she has and all the bills that must be paid. The Council says this can be done without a struggle and as she begins to pay these bills and she sees she’s able to handle this money better, she can think of selling the house at that point.

Bob points out that Mary says she already sold her home, and The Council says there’s more that’s coming, either more property involved or other houses. They advise Mary as she goes forward, to work on making lists of things that have to be paid. There’s more coming up around her with making money, how to spend it, and how to balance where she uses some for living and some for fun.

There’s a lesson that she needs to learn about balance in all things in her life; balance in relationships, balance in work, balance in how play, balance in spending, and physical and spiritual balance. The Council suggests Mary read some books on the spirit world, on other lifetimes, on people that channel, and bring this information together.

When it comes to paying off her debt, The Council recommends not taking all the money to pay off everything. Pay off some debt and make sure she keeps some money for living.

When it comes to paying off her fiancees student loans, The Council prefaces their recommendation by saying there are other issues involving her boyfriend that they won’t go into at this time. Then they say the boyfriend’s student loans can be paid off as long as all the money isn’t spent to pay off his and her debt.

On the subject of reinvesting the rest of the money to build a guest house at her home, The Council says this is a good idea if this is what she wants to do, just don’t use all the money. Always make sure you have money available to you.

Mary says she’s not sure if she’ll have this opportunity again and The Council says there will be other opportunities.

The Council recommends that at one point every day Mary say three times, “I am balancing my world.”
