What Do I Need to Know and Unblock from My Past Lives?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Lisa, who has a recurring dream that takes place in Atlantis. I’m in a tower and hear a bell go off as red-skinned people are charging down a hill to attack us.
The Council says this dream is of a past life that takes place in Lemuria where the Atlanteans would attack villages in Lemuria. The people of Atlantis were more aggressive than the people of Lemuria and wanted to be in charge and take over new villages. That is what you’re remembering in this dream.
Lisa says the dream I had tonight was of a reincarnation pool and it was tied into my mother who I don’t get along with. The Council says this was in Atlantis. Before you created your next life, while you were still in your physical body, you could lay in this pool and research what you wanted to do and where you wanted to go. Just entering this water you could connect with the minds of others and see what they have learned and where they’ve been. This would give you ideas for what you wanted to create for your next life.
Lisa says, I’ve also had dreams of being a woman Pharaoh or empress in Egypt and I was burned in these dreams. The Council doesn’t see the part about being a Pharaoh or empress, but they see several lives where you were burned. Once in the 1600s as you prepared potions for people. You were known as a village doctor, but this wasn’t accepted at that time. You were also burned in a building fire in Germany.
Burning is something you’ve gone through and it’s coming up in your current life so you can let it go. Somewhere subconsciously you have a fear of fire and burning again. Take your focus and put it only on your current life and that you’re safe. Focus on everything you do in your current life is moving you forward and leaving these past lives behind.
Lisa says, I feel like my soul is always trying to teach me something, but I’m not fully awake. Who am I and what do I need to know and unblock from my past lives. The Council says you need to know you are a spirit that has come into physical reality many times. You planned to have a more peaceful reality in your current life because there were many ups and downs that you’ve experienced in other lifetimes. You’re here this time to enjoy yourself. You have no particular lesson you must learn. You’ll learn as you create your life day by day. Your purpose was to have a much easier life.

Since the blog is currently a project we do in our spare time it can take a while for us to do a session with The Council on a question and then publish a post on the session. Depending on the question and the session it can sometimes take weeks after a question is asked to publish a post with The Council’s answer. Please be patient.
The Council
Cynthia is able to communicate with a group of five non-physical spirit guides in a manner similar to the way Esther Hicks communicates with and speaks for the spirit guides, Abraham, and Jane Roberts communicated and spoke for the spirit guide, Seth. I (Bob) basically interview The Council as they speak through Cynthia during what we refer to as a session. Sessions generally last 5-15 minutes and are usually audio recorded. During the session Cynthia is aware of what The Council is saying and she also receives visual impressions and other types of telepathic communication from them.
The Council’s Basic Guidance
Since we began these sessions with The Council around 2009 they consistently emphasize a few basic ideas that we attempt to summarize here:
1) You are an eternal spiritual being in a physical body.
You are the energy and vibration of continuously expanding love, intelligence, and joy.
Your physical experience in your physical body and your psychological experience of your personality is a small part of the totality of who you truly are.
Let yourself imagine from time to time what it might feel like to experience more of the wondrous totality of who you really are, and don’t be surprised if you are able to experience this more often.
2) You are the creator of all that you experience.
As you open to the possibility your true nature is greater than you ordinarily perceive, it becomes easier to consider the possibility that this expanded you is truly the creator of everything that you experience.
If you’re used to thinking of yourself in a more limited sense, the idea that you are the creator of your experience may be difficult to understand. Our post, What About This Idea That We Create Whatever We Desire, offers insights into this idea.
3) You are here to expand the love you are into physical reality.
You chose, as a spiritual being, to come into this physical reality to experience the joy of expanding the love you are as a spiritual being, into this physical reality. This is your purpose for being here.
Finding Your Way Around the Blog
Home Page
The left-hand column on the Home page contain a long chronological series of posts with the most recent on top. Each post begins with a title. Clicking on a post title will take you to a blog page dedicated to that particular post. Following each post is a Like button where you can indicate to us and other readers if you like the post.
The footer section of each post identifies the date the post was published, the Categories the post has been assigned to, the keyword/keyphrase Tags assigned to the post, and a Comment link. If readers comments on a post, the Comments link will indicate the number of comments. If a post has no comments yet, the Comment link text appears as “Leave a Comment”.
Clicking on the Comments link takes you to a Comment text box on a post page dedicated to that post. Contact Us: The Contact Us page contains a contact form similar to the Comment form mentioned above. A family friend who I have not heard about for years, maybe decades, recently reached out as they are dealing with loss and is having a tough time with it. He thought that since I was grieving as well he would reach out and maybe we can be a listening ear to each other.
I am trying to help him, but of course I am struggling with my own grief so I am very moody and sometimes sharp, and talk about by own problems instead of helping him, so don’t know if I can. I know I was told I should try to be of service to others so am trying. How can I be of service to him and others?
Also since this came from nowhere, and we suddenly feel so comfortable to share as if we were long lost friends, I’m curious if we had past lives together and I am supposed to help him during this time. Or if we had some soul contract? I also don’t know his intentions and don’t want to be rude and straight out ask him because he is also very fragile and grieving and needing support. Also I don’t want to assume someone always wants something. But I’m wondering why now? And will this be for a short time where once he has somewhat moved on, it will be back to how it was? Are we just crossing paths for this moment only?
Regardless this experience has shown me that I would love to be of service to others and help others. I’m even thinking of trying reiki or something. Is this something I should pursue or just stick to concentrating all my energy on my sons?
