Please Explain My Connection To A Colleague Who Helped Me Land A Dream Job
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Bobi.
Bobi: Dear Council. One day in March 2024, I went to sleep, and before sleeping, I made a wish. The wish was to change my job environment and be someplace where I could be part of a team.
Council: Bravo for you. It is so important to make a wish, or keep thinking, and imagining, and feeling what it is you want, especially before you go to sleep, because less doubt will come as you drift off into sleep.
Bobi: From my perspective, it was just a thought fleeting by. Exactly one day later, my ex-colleague (let’s call him JJ) called me and asked whether or not I’d be interested in a new job.
Council: Look at how fast that wish worked. It’s as simple as that all the time.
Bobi: Fast forward, I land a dream job in a perfect team, thanks to JJ, in the same company as him. We are not very close personally, but in my important moments he is a good mentor to me, and provides good guidance. And since March 2024, I regularly have dreams about JJ, as if in my dreams I can see his mood, his thoughts, and his worries. And also sometimes we are very physically close, but not intimate with each other in the dreams. This occurrence is very rare and applies only to JJ.
Council: It’s a feeling that comes when you meet with someone that you were very close to in other lifetimes, that you were able to help, or that person helped you, or you played as children in another lifetime, but there was a closeness. And usually that closeness that is felt is because you have been together many, many times. And that’s a wonderful thing to treasure and know, even though there is nothing now, know that there was.
And when you go to sleep at night, you can ask, “Where is this from? Can I see it? Can I have a scene appear to me of what went on?” And this also will come to you. But remember, it is a soul-to-soul experience that has shared many experiences, and that is why that feeling comes across to you.
Bobi: How can I understand what is happening to me in this physical or spiritual realm?
Council: This particular experience that you are feeling is from past lives, many of them. There is nothing we see here that, going forward there will be more, but you can change that. It should be that what comes to you, comes to you easily. It should be that there is no doubt. But being in the human form, that is not possible until you face the doubts. And whatever it is that you want, you do the work to create it.
So feel the love in this relationship, because there is. Think of how many different times you could have been together. And that should bring you the joy and keep the connection.
Bobi: Is this something coming from previous lives, karma, or how can I understand this bond? Thank you for your guidance.
Council: Well, this bond is… yes… because it involves many other lives. It is a wonderful feeling that you have had in many other lives. And you just sort of jump in to support each other, or to meet for a brief time just because it’s fun. And that’s how spirit thinks. We want to go into this reality and have fun. That is why we’re here.
And we send you love, and remind you to have fun on this journey. That was your purpose. You want to come in, and just mix it up, and have a good time. And everyone can get there.

Why Did I Plan This Great Work Opportunity?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Anonymous_Question.
Anonymous: Hi, Cynthia, Bob, and The Council. Thanks so much for your work, and Happy New Year.
I had a lot of difficulty for the last few years with a manipulative manager in my last job, and went through a traumatic workplace situation recently in which I was nearly buried under a lot of misinformation and misperceptions about me. I responded to this with documentation refuting some of the claims, and then was soon laid off, which was a relief given the situation. I also have what seems like a great opportunity lined up that I will start soon, which came essentially immediately.
Council: And we would say to go into this new job, not with a fear of having trouble again or misinformation, but to see it as a gift that the universe has sent you. And you will work with very nice people, and you will love your job. Start that thought immediately. See it and feel it.
Anonymous: I was wondering if you had any clarity or insight into this situation as to if or why I might have planned this? Thank you.
Council: It’s an old past life where you had troubles, were very misunderstood, and you were not in a great household. Part of it (we see here), there was a lot of learning. Some things you weren’t interested in, and you seemed to get into a lot of trouble because you wanted something else, and in that particular life you were supposed to just be grateful for what you had. So it’s the tail end of healing this.
So it should not be hard for you to put an end to that lesson by starting off going into this new place very excited, very happy, that you have met the right people, the right job, and you will be very happy. Do not start thinking: suppose this happens like the last job, or I’m afraid to say this, or I’m afraid to say that. If you do, you will bring that lesson with you. You need to go in there with positive, wonderful, happy thoughts.
We are sending you all love and light. That is very much needed right now. Many, many people are having old, old issues coming up, old problems that many of you are trying to heal before you go forward into a new life and better experiences. So we say meditate. Meditate, meditate, meditate.

Should I Move To My Parent’s Empty Apartment In Another City And Look For A New Job?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Gašper.
Gašper: Hi, Bob, Cynthia, and The Council. I hope that I’m not burdening you with too many questions. My decision-making is quite slow, and so I ask for your help.
Council: (Laughing) We don’t know what burdening is.
Gašper: If you have the time, I’d like to ask a couple questions regarding my career. My current job is very demanding and boring, but well-paying. The thing is, my parents are offering me their apartment rent-free in a bigger city where I could get a lower-paying job, but it might be more interesting and less demanding, at least for a while.
Council: Yes, and you need that right now. You need that so that if it’s less demanding, you’ll have more time. And what you need is more time to learn more things that you find interesting.
Gašper: But I would mostly lose my current social circle whose company I now very much enjoy. Does The Council see a brighter future for me if I relocate to this bigger city?
Council: Yes, we do. And there is always a way to stay in touch with people. And you may find after a while that it’s no longer needed because you’ll be in another social circle. But we would say this is a gift, being able to move somewhere else. And even though people (we see) are so interested in money, that’s not the answer. The answer is to have a job that makes you happy, to have time to read, watch videos, take classes, and learn something else that will put you on a completely different path.
Gašper: I like to read books about afterlife hypnotherapy.
Council: Oh, wonderful.
Gašper: And I’m considering taking on expensive courses on this subject, and maybe start my own hypnotherapy counseling in the future.
Council: Ah, wonderful.
Gašper: Now this would not be boring for me. Does The Council see any good outcomes if I take such a career turn?
Council: Definitely. And we’d say to add to this, learn about past life regression, learn about how to do hypnotherapy for past lives, life between lives, and read everything you can get your hands on on this subject. It will take you into a very successful career. More and more people are looking for this, and they need this. So it’s very wise for you to go in that direction.
Gašper: I guess the answer would be to take the rent-free job where I could gather enough energy to take the hypnotherapy courses.
Council: There, you see, you had the answer all ready.
Gašper: Sending you lots of love and light, Gašper.
Council: Oh, and we send you lots of love and light. And we will be watching you. We’ll be watching you expand, you will grow, you will learn, and you will find much happiness.

Career Council-ing
Jaqueline’s Questions – Part 2
This is the second of two posts to answer questions from a reader named Jaqueline. In the first post, Trusting You are Spirit in a Physical Body, The Council answers her question about how to connect with inner guidance and find inner peace “even when things seems to be so messed up.”
Jaqueline describes herself as being 23 years old and concerned she hasn’t decided about a career yet. She says, “I know I worry too much and think way too much, but I could really use some clue about what I’m supposed to do in this special lifetime, if I’m going in “the right direction”.
This post describes the portion of our July 24, 2012 conversation with The Council (non-physical spiritual guides) that addresses career and life-direction issues. We found this information personally very helpful and we believe it can also be helpful to others.
At the very end of this post we introduce some new guidance from The Council on the law of beliefs that came at the end of our session on Jaqueline’s questions.
