Why Do I Feel This Connection to a Man I Work With?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Loving Star, who was introduced to a man 10 years ago and from the moment I met him I felt a connection on a deeper level. Even though I feel his affection for me, I didn’t show my own affection because I was surprised by the connection itself. Why do I feel this connection?
The Council says this connection is from a lifetime where this man was your father. During most of that life he was caring for you and you had your father up on a pedestal. When you were ready to marry and leave your father it was difficult for him to let you go. In your current lifetime there was a pre-birth spiritual agreement to come back and care for each other again like you did in that former life.
In your current life do you notice the way this man cares? Do you notice if he’s there to guide you in different ways? Does he help you when there’s a problem? Does he help you get ahead? It’s that fatherly feeling that’s coming through in your current life, even though this time around the two of you aren’t father and daughter.
Loving Star says, the reason I’m asking is I started working in his law firm and I feel our connection is much stronger than before. I feel like we’re on a similar wave, but can’t explain why. I feel like this connection is mutual. Why did we meet and what did we agree on as spirits when we entered this life?
You worked for your father in this past life. He ran a bar and you served drinks and food and cleaned up. You brought this aspect of your past life into your current reality where you work for this man again. You’re on the same path as before. Working with this man should make you feel very comfortable.
Loving Star says, I see this man cares about me and helps guide me in my career. Is that why we met? The Council says, yes. Loving Star asks, what other gifts can we pass on to each other? The Council says even though the two of you don’t share a romantic pre-birth plan, there was a plan to be in each other’s lives, to be comfortable with each other, and to help each other. That closeness was wanted. You both wanted to be together again and not leave each other like you did in the past life when you were his daughter and got married. What was spoken about in spirit before the two of you came into this life was that you’d always sort of know where the other person was, and that was enough. That was the comfort that was needed.
Loving Star asks if there’s anything important I should know about us. For example, did we agree that a romantic relationship will develop between us? The Council tells Loving Star you didn’t plan for a romantic relationship, but life always comes along and gets in the way and gives you additional experiences. If a romantic relationship is something you both feel you want and you both think about this constantly, you’ll create this, and that’s fine. A romantic relationship wasn’t something you planned for, but you can create it.

Career Council-ing
Jaqueline’s Questions – Part 2
This is the second of two posts to answer questions from a reader named Jaqueline. In the first post, Trusting You are Spirit in a Physical Body, The Council answers her question about how to connect with inner guidance and find inner peace “even when things seems to be so messed up.”
Jaqueline describes herself as being 23 years old and concerned she hasn’t decided about a career yet. She says, “I know I worry too much and think way too much, but I could really use some clue about what I’m supposed to do in this special lifetime, if I’m going in “the right direction”.
This post describes the portion of our July 24, 2012 conversation with The Council (non-physical spiritual guides) that addresses career and life-direction issues. We found this information personally very helpful and we believe it can also be helpful to others.
At the very end of this post we introduce some new guidance from The Council on the law of beliefs that came at the end of our session on Jaqueline’s questions.

Feelings are Guidance from the Pure Spirit We Truly Are
Feeling a Need for Change, but Uncertain about a Career Move to the Arts
In this post The Council offers guidance on decision making. The post is a response to Sandy’s request for guidance about a career decision. He’s between jobs and wonders if he should stick to a career path he’s familiar with or try something completely outside of the box. He likes the idea of being involved in the Arts, but he tends to think of himself as a math and science person.
What Do I Do With My Life
The Council observes that many of us stress over making decisions, and this stress can make it difficult to achieve the outcomes we desire. They suggest when it comes to making decisions about the path to take in our life, the more relaxed we can be about the process, the more satisfying the outcome will be. For Sandy, The Council suggests making an effort to enjoy this time between jobs and to consider his desires.

Since the blog is currently a project we do in our spare time it can take a while for us to do a session with The Council on a question and then publish a post on the session. The Council
Cynthia is able to communicate with a group of five non-physical spirit guides in a manner similar to the way Esther Hicks communicates with and speaks for the spirit guides, Abraham, and Jane Roberts communicated and spoke for the spirit guide, Seth. I (Bob) basically interview The Council as they speak through Cynthia during what we refer to as a session. Sessions generally last 5-15 minutes and are usually audio recorded. During the session Cynthia is aware of what The Council is saying and she also receives visual impressions and other types of telepathic communication from them.
The Council’s Basic Guidance
Since we began these sessions with The Council around 2009 they consistently emphasize a few basic ideas that we attempt to summarize here:
1) You are an eternal spiritual being in a physical body.
You are the energy and vibration of continuously expanding love, intelligence, and joy.
Your physical experience in your physical body and your psychological experience of your personality is a small part of the totality of who you truly are.
Let yourself imagine from time to time what it might feel like to experience more of the wondrous totality of who you really are, and don’t be surprised if you are able to experience this more often.
2) You are the creator of all that you experience.
As you open to the possibility your true nature is greater than you ordinarily perceive, it becomes easier to consider the possibility that this expanded you is truly the creator of everything that you experience.
If you’re used to thinking of yourself in a more limited sense, the idea that you are the creator of your experience may be difficult to understand. Our post, What About This Idea That We Create Whatever We Desire, offers insights into this idea.
3) You are here to expand the love you are into physical reality.
You chose, as a spiritual being, to come into this physical reality to experience the joy of expanding the love you are as a spiritual being, into this physical reality. This is your purpose for being here.
Finding Your Way Around the Blog
Home Page
The left-hand column on the Home page contain a long chronological series of posts with the most recent on top. Each post begins with a title. Clicking on a post title will take you to a blog page dedicated to that particular post. Following each post is a Like button where you can indicate to us and other readers if you like the post.
The footer section of each post identifies the date the post was published, the Categories the post has been assigned to, the keyword/keyphrase Tags assigned to the post, and a Comment link. If readers comments on a post, the Comments link will indicate the number of comments. If a post has no comments yet, the Comment link text appears as “Leave a Comment”.
Clicking on the Comments link takes you to a Comment text box on a post page dedicated to that post. Contact Us: The Contact Us page contains a contact form similar to the Comment form mentioned above.
