Do I Have A Twin Flame, Not A Soulmate?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Bluestar Child.
BSC: I would like to ask The Council if I have a twin flame, and I don’t mean a soulmate?
Council: Ahh, here we go again. In your reality so many have decided to bring in this twin flame or this soulmate. This can be difficult for you to understand, but we’ll put it out there in as gentle and simple a way as we can.
We were all created at the same time. There are no new souls. There are souls that are new by creating your current reality*. And so this twin soul that you’re looking for…
Bob: Twin flame?
Council: The twin flame that you’re looking for is you. You are the twin flame, the twin soul. When you meet this person you say, “Is this my twin flame because I look at this person and I feel so connected? We like so many of the same things. We say the same words. We understand the same things.”
It’s because this person is you in another form. This person is a mirror that’s reflecting part of yourself back to you. Isn’t that interesting?
BSC: What spiritual contract did I have with George, a boy I studied with at university? Was he my twin flame, or was he just another soulmate in my life?
Council: He was just another soulmate. You had a connection way back in Lemuria where you worked together, working with energy, working with crystals, working with the environment, and working with plants. And we see here in that particular life there was a great friendship between the two of you. And so you’ve come back together in your current life to meet, to recognize each other on a higher level, and to have a greater understanding of some particular things in this reality. And so there should be comfort in that relationship, but it’s another soul.
BSC: If I have a twin flame, but it’s not this boy, George, is my twin flame incarnated on another planet (for example, in the Plieades, where I come from, or another dimension), or is he in my current incarnation?
Council: This twin flame, as we’ve said, is you. And so when you meet someone, and you can meet many people in this reality and think, this is my twin flame, because each part of you will be reflected back to you in different ways, but you’ll feel the connection. You are connecting to another part of you that wishes to give you comfort and show you another way to handle things. It’s you teaching you how to be. And it’s wonderful because you’re just relying on you.
BSC: If he is incarnated now, have I met him? Or do I have to meet him in this life?
Council: There will be a meeting. What we see, what is planned, quite soon you’ll meet this part of you.
Bob: So Bluestar Child will meet a man who she’ll consider a twin flame?
Council: In her current reality there’s a spirit that will appear in her current life that will be considered, because of the connection which will be felt, would be considered a twin flame. It hasn’t happened yet.
*Note: It’s not clear to Cynthia and me what The Council means when they say, “We’re all created at the same time. There are no new souls. There are souls that are new by creating your current reality.” We intend to ask The Council for clarification on these points and either publish them soon in a new post, or we’ll update the current post to make their ideas more clear. Thanks for your patience.

A Past Life Reason for My Mother’s Poor Treatment of Me?
This post answers questions from a reader who goes by the name, ImportantOrNotBlog, who wants to know if there’s a past life reason for her mother’s poor treatment of her.
She says her mother kept her hair very short and wouldn’t allow her to wear dresses. When people called her a little boy her mother would laugh and say she didn’t have time to deal with long hair. She was bullied at school and her parents just expected her to deal with it. Any negative reaction she had was perceived as wrong by her parents and she felt bullied by them. Both of them made fun of every picture of her throughout her life. She felt she had to participate in the activities her parents wanted to gain their approval, but never enjoyed what she was doing.
The Council asks ImportantOrNotBlog to look at the way she feels now, because this is what she planned to learn how to deal with in this lifetime. They ask how it feels to be put down, to be made fun of her looks, and whatever you do isn’t acceptable or enough. How does she imagine it feels to be looked down upon?
The Council says in another lifetime, they believe in France, ImportantOrNotBlog was born to nobility, was very beautiful, and you felt no one around you was up to your standards. You had a way of having the people around you feel less than what they were and not accepted. The people around you thought you were beautiful and smart, and tried to be there for you in a caring way, and yet you only saw these people as annoying and boring.
The Council asks ImportantOrNotBlog to look at her current life. How are her parents treating her? Do they make you feel less than? Do they make you feel unaccepted and not smart? Do they make fun of you?
You had asked in your current lifetime to experience the other side of your previous lifetime in France. What have you learned from this and how do you treat other people as you move forward?
The Council says her parents in her current lifetime have agreed in spirit to treat her the way she describes. They add she’s experiencing the flip side of the coin of her lifetime in France and it’s just an experience she wanted to have. The Council says as she understands this and treats people around her better, including her parents who didn’t treat her properly, this poor treatment will fall away. She will have more understanding and she’ll get along with her parents and the people around her.
Imagine what you created in the lifetime in France and what it felt like, and being the wonderful spirit that you are you wanted to heal this. The Council advises you to be the person who can’t understand why all of this went on, but still doesn’t treat people the way she did in her other lifetime, and comes from a good place within her heart as she moves forward.
ImportantOrNotBlog says she wants to start over and The Council advises her to take the knowledge she received in this post and work with it and she’ll see her life start over.
The Council closes by saying ImportantOrNotBlog can know that what she’s experienced in her current life isn’t from a lack of beauty or talent or not being accepted. She is playing her life out the way she planned in spirit so she could understand it better. The suffering you are experiencing in this lifetime isn’t your fault and it’s not because you’re a bad person.
You bravely came into your current lifetime to see what the lifetime in France was all about. Can you get to a point where you can see your parents and not blame them and feel anger, hate, or confusion towards them, but thank them for agreeing to play this role with you so you can feel better about yourself. Once you learn how to do this, feelings will change because you have seen what’s going on in a different way. You have seen it from the point of view of your higher self and when you accept yourself as the wonderful being you are, the rest will fall away.

Getting Rid of Depression After An Abortion
This post is inspired by questions for The Council from a reader named Sarah, who had an abortion about a year earlier and feels it left her clinically depressed. She’s scared she’ll have depression for the rest of her life, but she’s not comfortable taking anti-depressants.
The Council starts by saying we experience depression when we’re not connected to who we truly are as spiritual beings, and they suggest meditating on this and focusing less on something being wrong with Sarah’s brain. And they add that as spiritual beings we understand we are here to find the joy in our experience, and because Sarah is so unhappy, this depression is pushing her to search for something more.
The Council recommends books and videos that teach how we plan our lifetimes as spiritual beings and they specifically suggest reading books by Robert Schwartz. And they say depression comes because Sarah doesn’t appreciate what she’s created for herself and the spirit she aborted. Many think of abortion as an ending of a life, but The Council says it’s a beginning because this soul is now free to have other experiences, including returning to Sarah in a future pregnancy.
The Council says Sarah had a spiritual contract with this aborted soul who wanted to experience what it was like to be part of an aborted pregnancy. This soul was not interested in experiencing a full term pregnancy but if Sarah wishes to move forward, this soul can return to her in a future pregnancy. And The Council says these two souls will have a closer bond because they experienced this abortion together.
The Council emphasizes there isn’t any need for Sarah to feel depressed about this abortion because everything went according to the way the two souls planned this, and there is great love between these two spirits, and great love in deciding what path to take next.
The Council encourages Sarah to look for books that connect her to spirit and past lives, and they recommend the books of Emmanuel by Pat Rodegast. They also encourage Sarah to do whatever it takes to get into the vibration of love and joy, and from this vibration she’ll be able to create her future the way she wants it to be.
The Council says this aborted soul has continually been sending Sarah love from the moment this abortion was planned in spirit and there is still a stream of love flowing from this soul to Sarah, helping her to get through this depression. The more Sarah is able to let this love in, the less she’ll need to concern herself with a relapse of depression.
The Council closes with a recommendation to look for little moments of love and joy from her spirit and the spirit of her aborted child to move her forward in this lifetime.
