Will The Spirit Of My Unborn Child Return To Me?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Zumza.
Zumza: I had an abortion a couple months ago. My boyfriend and I wanted a child, and the feeling of someone wanting to come through us was very, very strong. I was ready to have a baby, but he wasn’t ready financially. I got pregnant very quickly after five or six months of knowing each other, so there was also a doubt that the timing was good. We decided to have an abortion, although I was convincing my boyfriend we’d make it through and the timing was good. I felt a very strong connection to the spiritual world and a lot of love for the fetus. We were communicating in my mind. I apologized for the abortion and asked the spirit to come back.
Council: We see here there’s a lot of doubt around the time you were thinking of having a child, where you wanted the child, but you doubted the timing was right. There was doubt about the finances. And then doubting the pregnancy, or having an abortion, and the regret. That vibration will not bring you what you want. And so we’d say if you choose to get pregnant again, and there are the same concerns about timing and about money, it’s wise to do everything you can to change the way you look at your situation. Be more positive about how it will work out, and stay away from thoughts that are doubtful.
Zumza: I had an abortion and the next day I broke my leg. It was a tough period. I prayed a lot for the baby and for good karma. Later on a baby came into my dream. He was playing in the spiritual world with guides. He was happy and I felt so much love.
Council: Right there by paying attention to this dream and what you’ve seen, this spirit has allowed you to see that it’s healthy, that it’s happy, and there’s no need for regret, blame, or guilt. Once again, it’s a wonderful thing that the spirit has shown you that.
And so if you can change the way you think of it and say, “How wonderful. The spirit heard me talking to itself and came to me. I was open enough to receive that dream, and now how do I handle it? Am I happy for this spirit?” The spirit is happy, so why should I torture myself?
And so, always what you’ve been shown is to be more positive. Know everything is okay. Whether or not there was an abortion, everything is okay. All is well.
Zumza: Since the abortion I’m feeling so much regret. I thought, “I just started a new role and if I leave, how will that look?” But after my decision, my two colleagues told me they are pregnant and I thought, “That could have been my happiness.”
Council: And so the concern here – again take a look at your thoughts – if you got pregnant and had to leave your job, how would it look? It doesn’t matter how it would look. Is it what you want? Are you going forward with appreciating you are pregnant and having the dream that you want? So once again, rethink how you look at your situation.
Zumza: Also, we’re not married yet. I was thinking I wanted the baby to come into a married family.
Council: Okay, so if you’re preparing, if you’re creating that you’re pregnant again, you’re thinking you’d like this child to come into a married family. Are you taking those steps toward marriage? Follow your feeling. If this is what you want, if this is what you need to be happy and to have a full pregnancy, and a wonderful baby, then take the steps toward what you want. And that would be to go ahead and do as you wish and be married.
Zumza: But now I want nothing else but the spirit of this child back in my life. In my dream it was a boy, and I felt it was a boy during the pregnancy. I just can’t live without him in this world.
Council: And that is such an unfortunate thought. When you think that you cannot live without this spirit, what do you think that does to your vibration? That is a very low vibration. It’s easy to change that. It’s like, I love the thought of moving on with my life and welcoming this spirit back if it chooses to come back to me. Do you see the different feeling of the different thoughts?
Zumza: I keep asking the spirit to come back, and he replies that he will, but maybe it’s only in my mind.
Council: And so instead of thinking maybe it’s all in my mind, change it to: How wonderful, let me trust this feeling. The spirit is telling me it will come back.
Again, you’re changing a thought of doubt to a positive thought in order to raise your vibration so it’s easy for you to create what you want.
Zumza: My boyfriend is working on getting stable with finances at the moment.
Council: That is a wonderful thing.
Zumza: Will this spirit come back to me?
Council: We do see here that there is a wonderful possibility of this happening. But once again, you must change the way you see things, the way you prepare for it, and know that when you’re in a higher vibration of joy and love and excitement of where you’re going in this lifetime that you are creating, then we see this spirit, or any other spirit that wants to come, will come to you.
There’s definitely a pregnancy, and if you change this vibration and the way you’re thinking, and you speak to this spirit, you both have a chance to come together and plan what’s wanted for both of you.
Is it a good experience for you to be with this spirit? This spirit will think of what kind of life you are planning. Is it good for me to become part of that family? Is it what I want to experience? And so we say the positive attitude and higher vibration will make this happen.
Zumza: Will I get pregnant again?
Council: Yes, we do see that.
Zumza: I was a career-driven person for some time, but I achieved what I wanted and there’s nothing else I want more than a family. I’m already over 30 and scared it will be too late if it will take too long.
Council: Ah, there we are. You are scared. You are doubting. Will it take too long? I’m too old. That will stop the way you create. So the thought is, I’m over 30. Well I know many people in their 40s and even some women in their early 50s have given birth. Oh, I want this. This is in my plans for my future, so this will happen. I’m not running out of time.
And so, again, the way you see it, being afraid of being too old, being afraid of not having enough time, will not help you create what you want. Do this inner work with your thoughts and how you feel, and when you focus, you are the creator. You will bring it in.

Was My Recent Abortion A Soul Agreement Between Me And My Child?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, ACuriousSpirit.
ACuriousSpirit: I had an abortion recently and it’s not something I really wanted to do, and I’m still deeply sad about it. I’d like to ask The Council if this abortion was a soul agreement between me and the child.
Council: Of course it was. There’s no reason to feel sad, or regret what was done, or feel guilty. It was your wish to experience this abortion and afterward to feel love for yourself because this was something you did.
It’s important for you to understand that the child’s soul also wanted to experience the abortion for its own reasons. You both helped each other out. There’s great love there. As you understand that and feel love for yourself, this love will grow. At another time you’ll have children if you want to.
ACS: Will I be reunited again with the soul of this child?
Council: At this time this particular soul doesn’t feel it needs to come back to you. It feels like it will move on. You have other souls in line, so to speak, that are willing to come to you when you’re ready for children. You’ll be reunited when you’re both back in spirit, but not in your current life.
ACS: How can I best deal with the sadness and move on with my life.
Council: Forget the sadness and know that you may not understand in your current reality why you chose to experience this abortion. How wonderful that the loving soul of this child said, “I will be this child. I will come to you and you’ll get pregnant, and then when the time is right, you’ll abort me.”
That soul had such great love for you that it did what you needed because you wanted to experience this abortion. Learn from this experience. Learn all about love. You can still be connected to the spirit of this child, and send love to this spirit, and thank it for helping you experience this abortion. And you allowed this spirit to learn what it needed by having the abortion and letting that spirit learn the lesson it wanted from that experience.
There’s only love here, only a great love that brought you two together to experience this abortion. There’s no sadness, there’s no guilt. You fulfilled a contract, so to speak. You fulfilled an agreement. You came together out of love to help each other. When you’re back in spirit, and perhaps when you plan another life, you can be together again. There’s only love here.
ACS: I’d also like to know why the father of this child rejected us and if this was also a soul agreement between me and him.
Council: Of course this was another soul agreement between you and the father. You would have to learn about abandonment, you’d have to learn to feel great love for yourself, and not feel unimportant or that there’s something wrong with you because this man left you.
The soul of this man will learn how it feels to leave someone. Perhaps that soul wants to learn about regret. Perhaps it wants to learn about how wonderful and free it feels not to be tied to a family. This person will learn what he needs to learn by leaving you, but it’s all done out of love. You decided to have this experience with the father so that he could learn from it and you could learn from it.
Concentrate on yourself. Find the loving things within yourself. Focus on that. And when you meditate, or you sit quietly, thank these souls for playing their part in your abortion experience. And jokingly say, “Maybe we’ll do this again and we’ll have a different ending, or a different lesson.”

What Is My Family’s Purpose In This Lifetime?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Sarah, who asked The Council a few years ago about an abortion she was thinking of having and if the soul of the unborn fetus would return to her in a future pregnancy. She had her daughter in October 2020 and she thinks it’s the same soul and The Council agrees with her.
The Council says this birth will produce a very interesting life. If you’re not practicing the arts yet, you will. Your daughter needs to be taught music, dancing, and art from an early age. You, your husband, and your daughter should all find interest in the arts because you’ve done this in other lifetimes.
Eventually you’ll find a way to heal with music. You’ve all had separate lives as well as lives together where you filled the need to feel loved and feel important through the arts. In your current lifetime you’ve come together to develop all of this and share it with each other. Your daughter should be exposed to the arts and you and your husband should do this also.
The Council says while practicing the arts it’s a good idea to discuss with each other how you feel and how you got the idea to create what you are creating. This will open you to more creativity within each of you.
Sarah says she’s no longer finding purpose in her current profession and she’s feeling the pull of something much larger and far-reaching. The Council says the pull is to get started on an artistic path. When you find fulfillment in this, your current job won’t have such a negative feeling because you’ll allow this new path to be accepted and come in.
Sarah feels she and her husband have lived many lives together and he and I are supposed to do whatever this big thing is together. The Council agrees with Sarah about her past lives with her husband. This big purpose all three of you are supposed to do together was agreed upon in spirit before you were born and this is where your focus should be right now.
Sarah says she’s experienced severe arthritis for the last two years and I’m hoping this experience has run its course and taught me what it needed to. I’m curious if it has anything to do with what’s ahead.
The Council says in a past life in the early 1800s you had a form of arthritis where your fingers were crooked and you were unable to do much with your hands. In that life you always wished to find a way to heal this condition and experience it in a way that wasn’t so difficult.
In your current life, you’ve created a short span of time to experience this problem, but not on such a deep level. On your new path with music and the arts, that will ease your arthritis considerably and you’ll be able to move on. If your arthritis doesn’t totally disappear, and this is entirely up to you, it will be much better than it was.
The Council closes by thanking us for being able to take this information and have so many people be open to it, and get understanding from it, and experience relief from what another spirit has gone through.

Isn’t a Baby’s Sex Determined at the Moment of Conception?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Gina, which she had after reading our post, Are All Abortions Pre-Planned in Spirit Before Birth? In that post The Council says the sex of the fetus is sometimes determined way before the woman becomes pregnant and sometimes the sex of the fetus isn’t determined until the end of the pregnancy. Gina says the sex of the baby is determined at the moment of conception and can’t change, and she wants to know what The Council has to say about this.
The Council says Gina is offering the scientific explanation for determining the sex of a fetus, but spirit is greater than science. Spirit has the ability to change anything. If for some reason the spirit of the parents or the spirit of the fetus decides to change the sex of the fetus, the sex of the fetus will change. How will it change? Spirit will wipe out any memory of the fetus being a girl (for example) and all you’ll know is now the fetus is a boy. This is how powerful spirit is. Spirit will create a new life that’s going in the direction it wants.
Gina says if the father contributes an X chromosome the fetus will be female and if the father contributes a Y chromosome the fetus will be a boy, but The Council says spirit is able to change this and as human beings you’d have no memory of the change.
The Council says every abortion is pre-planned. Some abortions are pre-planned before the woman gets pregnant and some abortions are pre-planed to be open-ended to see where your life is after the woman becomes pregnant. Gina asks if her abortion was pre-planned before she became pregnant, or did she make the decision to abort after she became pregnant. The Council says Gina agreed to have an abortion before she became pregnant. You and your fetus both wanted to have the experience of the abortion. You both did exactly what was needed. There was no error here.
Gina asks where the soul of her aborted fetus is now and will it come back to her in a future pregnancy. The Council says at this moment the spirit of the fetus is creating more lifetimes. It hasn’t decided whether it wants to come back right away or wait for a while before it comes back, but this spirit is in pure bliss and love.
Gina asks what she can do to stop suffering over her abortion. She never thought it would be so emotionally painful and she’s scared she’ll never stop suffering and will always feel guilty. The Council says you’re suffering because of the way you think about your abortion and you are focused on suffering. You need to turn the direction of your thoughts to the idea that the two of you agreed in spirit to go through that abortion together. You didn’t fail. Your abortion went according to the way you and the fetus planned it. The Council advises you to wish the spirit of the aborted fetus luck, love, and happiness. Take the direction of your life and instead of focusing on the loss, focus on how you planned for the abortion to be the way it was.
Thank the spirit of the fetus and thank yourself for the abortion and now start thinking about what you want. Go forward with your life. Stop focusing on suffering and loss. The abortion is exactly what you wanted. Now that you’ve accomplished that, ask yourself what else you want. Take your thoughts and your focus and begin to look in the direction of where you want your life to go.

Was I Unloved When I Was Previously Aborted in Another Life?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Joni, who was told by her spiritual healer recently that her spirit was aborted by one mother before she came into her current lifetime with a different mother. Joni asks if she wasn’t loved in that lifetime where she was aborted.
The Council says your spirit wanted to experience the lesson of going through an abortion and so you agreed to this in spirit and pre-planned it. The reason you were aborted wasn’t because you were unloved, it was because the mother felt alone and couldn’t handle the stress of having a child at that time. You agreed to help the mother have this experience by being aborted, and then you’d go on to experience a life that you planned for yourself. (Our apologies for Bob mistakenly referring to Joni as Terri in this section of the recording.)
Joni asks if the abortion has anything to do with why she doesn’t feel a bond with her brothers and sister in her current lifetime. The Council says you’re experiencing this difficulty bonding with your brothers and sister because in another lifetime you had these same siblings, but a disease in that lifetime caused all of you to die early.
In your current lifetime you all agreed to come together again. Some of you are open to being together and some of you don’t want to feel a connection because there’s an unconscious fear of losing each other again. Search yourself to see if there’s an uncomfortable feeling that comes up. That would be from this other lifetime.
You’ve all chosen to be together again. Ask yourself how you’d like that experience to be and work towards that. A feeling of being cut off from each other is normal under the circumstances, but you’re all here to change that feeling. Let go of the fear of not being connected with your brothers and sister. Meditate and think of each of your siblings and know they’re souls you know from another time.

The Purpose of Her Life After Her Abortion
In this post The Council answers questions from a reader who goes by the name, Important Or Not Blog, who says it’s been almost three years since her abortion. She’s been through therapy, she takes a high dosage of antidepressants, and feels she hasn’t been able to communicate with the spirit of the fetus she carried. She tells herself everyday that her abortion was the result of a spiritual agreement she made with the aborted fetus, and that she’s a human being having a spiritual experience, but she’s unable to move forward. Before the abortion Important Or Not Blog was fairly happy and now she’s full of sadness, anger, and blame. She’s afraid she’ll feel this way for the next 50 years and she asks if The Council can explain her purpose in this life?
The Council says one of Important Of Not Blog’s purposes is to experience the quality of forgiveness and to show this quality to other people in her life.
The Council says in looking at the way Important Or Not Blog feels since her abortion, if she knows there was a soul agreement with the fetus and this soul has moved on, they ask if she’s able to see the situation as something both she and the fetus wanted to experience and learn from? If you focus on the abortion as something that was traumatic for you and can keep thinking both you and the fetus are spirits, ask yourself what is the purpose of hanging on to blaming yourself and feeling bad you had this abortion? The Council says this whole episode was designed to push you to learn more about spirit, about past lives, and about life in between your lives when you plan what you want to learn moving forward.
When you think about how you can turn around your feelings about the abortion by reading about past lives, soul agreements, and in between lives, that should take you out of your depression and give you more of a feeling of understanding. When you understand why you both chose to have this abortion you’ll feel more forgiveness for yourself. And when you can learn to forgive yourself, you can learn to forgive others that you feel have abandoned you or hurt you in some way in this lifetime.

If you read this material it will open you to bring in new energy and make this lesson a lighter one – one where you can understand how you succeeded in the first part of what you wanted by going through this abortion. The second part will be to turn your feelings about this abortion around and find ways to feel okay about it.
Reading the material The Council suggested will help you find the love, and once you start to get this feeling of love, bring it into your life on a daily basis. This will change your focus on what you go through as you create for the future.

Why Do I Regret My Last Abortion?
This post answers a question for The Council from a reader named, Theresia, who asks why she regrets having her last abortion?
The Council points out that Theresia says she was on medication during this pregnancy, and she and her husband were financially and mentally unstable at the time. The Council says this medication would have caused a birth defect in the child and the spirit of this child agreed not to be born under these circumstances. And the child didn’t want to go through a life of of struggle and lack because of your financial and mental situation.
The Council says Theresia’s desire to have children is very real and they ask her what she and her husband have done to change their current situation so they can become more independent from her parents and be financially able to have a child? This is something they spiritually agreed to do in this lifetime. The Council says there was also a spiritual agreement to learn how to support yourselves, have goals, and move forward. What are you doing to change your future so you can have the next child you become pregnant with?
The Council advises being excited about having a child rather than being indecisive about it. They say the energy you create around this child will have an effect on your lifetime and the lifetime of the child.
The Council says it would be good to look at your careers. Is there training that’s needed for advancement or a new career. But The Council points out what’s most important is to change your thinking about being stuck and being the victim of circumstances, and know you have the power to change this thinking and these circumstances. Goals and ideas are needed. You need something to move toward. What would you and your husband like your life to be like? What steps can you take right now to lead you in this direction?
Once you begin to have a plan and start working towards it, you connect with who you truly are as spiritual beings. You’ll have more energy and can play with more ideas. You are the creator of your life. See how you and your husband can support each other to move forward. Change your thinking and be excited about the future. The Council says they don’t see that sort of thinking at this time.
The Council says the simplest books to read in order to connect with spirit and feel good about themselves are the Emmanuel books by Pat Rodegast. Once you connect with spirit, everything begins to fall into place. These books explain what is, and why. They explain how everything is planned in spirit and there are no mistakes. Life is a wonderful learning arena. And at the end of your life when you pass back into spirit, it’s a wonderful experience where you learn from your life.
As you begin to connect with spirit and know there’s more to life than what you’re experiencing in your present, this connection will lift your vibration. And as you go to a higher vibration your life has to change. You’ll begin to bring in better experiences. Once you make this spiritual connection, the lower energy that’s currently in your life won’t be a match for you any more and will not be drawn to you. As your vibration lifts, the circumstances of your life will also lift to match your new vibration.

Why Do People Believe in Divine Retribution for Abortion?
This post answers a question from a reader named, Pakt, in response to a post we published titled, Life Feels Over After An Abortion. Pakt asks why so many people believe there will be divine retribution if you have an abortion when The Council says there isn’t any divine retribution and you won’t be struck down by God.
The Council starts by saying God or whatever you believe in has granted you free will and you will never be punished for what you choose to create in your life. Everything is allowed. You learn from everything you do, either during your current lifetime or when you return to spirit. In spirit you’ll review this life and learn what you’ve gone through, how you handled it, and the lesson is always learned.
The Council says you believe in divine retribution because from almost the beginning of time, man was afraid of this all powerful God, and if you didn’t please this God you’d have to pay. The priests and people in authority made rules that when you don’t follow the law, you’ll suffer. Man made these rules, including the rule that God gave you life and if you ended that life, God would punish you. But The Council says this isn’t the way things are; it’s only the way man believed it would be.
The Council says there is a contract between two or more souls to have a child or to abort the child. This contract allows you, according to what you want to learn, to have the child or abort the child. When you learn there is a gentler God who is only love and not some monster that will punish you if you don’t follow his laws, you’re free to make choices. When you learn you are spirit, when you learn God is love, when you learn everything is allowed, then you’re closer to who you truly are as a spiritual being in a physical body.
The Council says what you believe will show up in your life. If you believe you’ve done something horrible, you’ll find ways to punish yourself. There isn’t any God that will punish you for what you’ve done. You believe God will punish you because you’ve been taught this in other lifetimes and your current lifetime, and you’ll believe this until you find the truth that works for you.

Is Human Abortion a Violation of Nature?
This post answers questions from a reader named, Pakt, who asks The Council if abortion among humans is a violation of nature because Pakt is unable to find evidence of animals aborting their pregnancies.
The Council says animals can naturally abort their babies when they aren’t getting the proper nutrition or if there’s something wrong with the fetus. Animals have the ability to know when a baby is born sick or hindered in some way and will end the life of this baby by eating them. Then the soul of this baby animal will go on to live other lives, like the soul of a human. The Council says abortion is a soul to soul agreement, not a violation of nature.
Pakt quotes The Council saying, in the case of abortion you’re giving love to a spirit that wanted to have this experience. Pakt says this doesn’t resonate with them, but they wish it did and asks, aren’t we killing a body?
The Council says we’re freeing the spirit from this body because this is something that is wanted and agreed upon before coming into this reality. The spirit had no intention of fulfilling a whole lifetime in this reality and chose to end their life. So it’s not like you’re killing a body. You’re giving a gift to the spirit and to yourself because it is exactly the way it was planned.
Pakt (the recording incorrectly says Maria) asks if abortion means we’re playing God. The Council says we are God, and that’s what you fail to remember. God is within each one of us. You are spirits and many of you don’t understand this because you’ve forgotten what it’s like to be without a physical body, which is your true nature. You are so much more than your physical body.
We have the free will to do whatever we want with our created body and nothing happens that you don’t want. You create everything you experience. Whether you consciously remember or not, you are being led by spirit. It’s trying to get you to fulfill all the things you line up on your bucket list before you came into this physical reality.
Pakt (again the recording incorrectly says Maria) asks The Council to explain examples of different lessons a spirit may want to learn from being part of an abortion.
The Council say sometimes a spirit just wants to have the physical experience of being in the womb, but doesn’t want to go through a whole life. Sometimes a mother wants to feel pregnant, but doesn’t want the child at that particular time. Sometimes you have an abortion to teach others around you what it’s like for someone in the family or a friend to loose a child.
There are some people who’ve lived past lives where someone aborted a child and you were very judgmental and didn’t understand. In your current lifetime you may decide to go through an abortion to understand the emotional and physical reasons for abortion.
Sometimes someone will want to experience an abortion because they want to feel the loss so when they eventually bring in the soul or souls they’ve agreed to have, these souls will be loved so much more because of the previously experienced loss.
Pakt (Bob continues identifying them as Marie on the recording) asks if there’s people missing on Earth because of abortion. The Council says no one is missing. They’re aborted because they’ve agreed to this and they’ll come back when they choose.
The Council says if Pakt doesn’t understand the contracts that are made about abortion, don’t torture yourself by reading about it. Don’t look at pictures of aborted fetuses that will upset you because then you’re bringing in sadness and torturing and punishing yourself. For right now you can say you don’t understand abortion, but you can try to have the better thought that abortions are always agreed upon. Try to avoid putting yourself in a position where you hurt yourself over and over again.
Abortions are always wanted. There’s never an abortion where the child wants to be born and the parents don’t want this child. When the time comes, if the parents are receptive to having the child and the child thinks they’re willing to give it a try, it’s agreed upon at that time that the abortion doesn’t have to happen. But the spirits of all parties involved in this pregnancy will know at this time what’s needed.

Questions About My Two Abortions and One Birth
This post answers questions for The Council on the subject of abortion from a reader named Mind at Peace. She says she’d been pregnant three times, but only able to give birth to her second child because the first and third pregnancy were aborted.
She says the first abortion was an accident because she wanted the baby, but she decided to abort her third pregnancy because she wanted to go back to school and do something with her life. Now she sometimes regrets her third abortion and wonders if she made the correct choice.
The Council says, as they’ve stated in other posts, there isn’t any reason to regret an abortion, miscarriage, or not seeing a pregnancy go full term. They say in each case the abortion has been agreed upon by all souls involved, including the soul of the unborn child.
Mind At Peace asks The Council to shed some light on why the third soul came into her life. We assume this question is about her third pregnancy and second abortion, but The Council first answers as if she asked about her child that was born. They say Mind At Peace and this child knew each other from previous lifetimes and there are some experiences they’re planning to go through together.
After their brief answer about this child The Council says the other two souls didn’t want to come into this reality, but wanted the experience of being in a mother’s womb, and Mind At Peace agreed in spirit to provide them with this experience.
The Council says during her first and third pregnancy Mind At Peace wasn’t really prepared to bring a child into the world. These pregnancies were to learn appreciation for bringing life forward and learn about the responsibility involved. They also took her attention off problems that would have overwhelmed her and had her concentrate on the unborn child rather than her other problems.
The Council says the lesson for Mind At Peace and her child was to have compassion and care for each other. In another lifetime in Asia they were brother and sister and very poor. Living on the streets this poverty caused separation between the two of them. They each cared for themselves instead of each other.
At the end of Mind At Peace’s comment she ask if her first aborted child came back to her as her second child, and The Council says yes.

Abortion Advice
This post is about questions from a reader named, Andrea, who says she’s pregnant again and due in a few months, but she’s having difficulty moving past an abortion she had last year that she told The Council about earlier.
The Council asks Andrea what she learned from the information they gave her previously, and what’s keeping her from moving on and forgiving herself. They remind her the earlier abortion was pre-planned in spirit and was supposed to happen, and when she continues to experience grief, this prevents her from moving on.
The Council asks Andrea if she understands she’s a spirit in a physical body and the spirit of the unborn child agreed to participate in that abortion. Andrea didn’t kill the spirit and it’s not dead. She just helped herself and the aborted spirit experience what they both wanted and needed to experience.
It’s up to Andrea to change how she thinks about that abortion. This won’t happen magically. The Council suggests moving her focus forward in her life and thinking more about what she wants. As she changes her thoughts a little bit at a time, she’ll be able to move past these difficulties.
Andrea says she’s not able to forgive her partner for the role he played in the earlier abortion. The Council says her boyfriend was involved in the pre-planning in spirit of that abortion and he played his part in the same way Andrea played her part and the spirit of the unborn child played its part.
The Council says the spirit she’s currently pregnant with is not the spirit she previously aborted. It’s a new spirit that she’s worked with in other lifetimes and that’s decided to come to show Andrea how to give love and show her that she still has love in her.
Andrea’s current pregnancy was also pre-planned in spirit and she and the child will learn much from each other. When this new child comes into Andrea’s life, will she be able to accept it? Can she be happy that this other soul has decided to become part of her life and help her and itself share in lessons and experience? And can Andrea be happy knowing the soul from her previous abortion has gone on to new experiences?

Will the Soul I Aborted Return to Me?
This post is inspired by a follow-up question from a reader named Casey, who asks if the soul she aborted will return to her in a future pregnancy.
The Council says Casey will meet this soul again when she returns to spirit at the end of her physical lifetime. This particular soul is already moving on to another lifetime it wishes to experience.
The Council says Casey and this soul may choose to be together again in a future lifetime so they can learn together and support each other again. Their time together in this lifetime is as it was planned in spirit.
Casey isn’t disconnected from this soul just because it has passed on. They have been together in other lifetimes and learned many lessons in different roles. Because we always return to the same family of souls after each lifetime, Casey and this soul will meet again in spirit.
The Council says because we are all connected spiritually Casey is able to ask this soul for signs that it’s around. This soul is sending Casey love and trying to get her to understand they are still connected. What Casey needs to do in her current lifetime has to do with other souls on a different path.

Life Feels Over After an Abortion
This post is inspired by questions for The Council from a reader named, Casey, who had an abortion and says she wants to die because she’s been told she took a life.
The Council says Casey didn’t take a life and they want to make clear, as they’ve said in other posts, all abortions are pre-planned in spirit. Sometimes the abortion is agreed to by all concerned before you come into this lifetime. And sometimes everyone involved waits to see what circumstances are like in the lifetime before going ahead with the abortion. Either way the abortion is pre-planned in spirit and everyone involved agrees.
Casey has done exactly what was needed for all the souls concerned, including the aborted child’s. The Council suggests Casey meditate on the fact that the spirit of the child isn’t dead and Casey hasn’t stopped this spirit from what it wanted to learn or from moving forward.
The Council says Casey planned other experiences she wishes to go through. If she were to end this particular life, she’ll come back and have to learn these lessons again. The Council reminds Casey she’s exactly where she needs to be right now. And they ask her why she’d want to cut this life short when she has the opportunity to move forward and grow spiritually and intellectually, and to have clarity about the abortion when she’s ready for this.
As Casey believes she’s done something wrong by having this abortion, she isn’t moving forward and the light and clarity of her spirit is unable to reach her human self. The Council encourages Casey to remedy this by sitting for 5-10 minutes every day and imagining a beautiful green light surrounding her to heal her heart and her mind. And they ask Casey to change her perception of what’s happened to one that’s more productive.
Casey says she fears divine retribution and The Council says there is no divine retribution. She chose this abortion in spirit and the spirit of the child chose it also.
The Council recommends Casey release the feeling her life is over, take in these new ideas, meditate, and learn to love herself. She has a husband and children who’ve chosen to be with her and there are beautiful experiences they all planned to work through together going forward.
As Casey’s children grow they’ll have many ideas that will open Casey to the spiritual world and help her move forward, and these children will open the minds of many people. The Council says Casey agreed to be a part of all this and asks if she really wants to die now. There is much to learn and so much happiness in front of her.
Now Casey needs to work on herself and her beliefs. She needs to be open to another way of thinking about the abortion and open to accepting the vibration of love and light that’s all around her. If she meditates daily she’ll experience this. The choice is hers.
The Council closes by recommending Casey tell herself she is a vibration of love, she is light, and she is spirit. All spirits will be sending Casey healing. Will she choose to accept it.

Why Do So Many Women Ask About Abortion?
This post is inspired by questions for The Council from an anonymous reader who’s curious why we get so many questions from women who struggle with abortion. This is a question we ask ourselves from time to time and we thought this would be a good opportunity to get The Council’s opinion on this subject. Anonymous also asks why abortions bring so much pain if they’re pre-planned in spirit.
The Council starts by offering an answer about pre-planning abortions. They say just because we pre-plan in spirit before we are born to have an abortion doesn’t mean we plan to remember this. The purpose of these pre-planned abortions is just to go through the experience and see how we handle it and grow from it.
The Council says many women who go through an abortion experience blame, grief, and heartbreak until they understand they intend to grow from this. And The Council points out many women go through one or more abortions and don’t experience these negative emotions. They go through it believing they made the right choice for themselves, the fetus, and everyone involved, and they move on. Everyone who experiences an abortion does not experience those heartaches.
Bob asks The Council about the first part of Anonymous’s question: why so many questions about abortion? The Council says the reason is that many women struggle with abortion. Maybe they thought it wasn’t a good time to have a child, or the finances weren’t good, or they weren’t in a good relationship, or the partner didn’t want the child. This brings up feelings of guilt and sadness.
Bob says he understands many women struggle with abortions, but he doesn’t understand why so many questions are abortion-related when readers are free to ask questions on any subject. The Council says there is a strong vibration from the two of us to help people through abortions because this is a big problem that causes lots of despair. They say Cynthia and Bob created this website to answer any questions, and yet as spirits we knew the time was coming where more questions needed to be answered about abortion. These questions come from many who need to learn about self love and acceptance.
The Council adds there are more abortions going on now than ever before. In other times there weren’t places where women could have a safe abortion. Women have more choices when they become pregnant now and so this question has grown. As more questions are written about abortion, people realize many others going through something similar and because they aren’t alone in their grief, sadness, and depression, it becomes easier to release these negative emotions.
Toward the end of the session Bob admits it’s still not not clear why there are so many abortion-related questions. The Council says the reason is because abortions are happening more frequently, it’s more out in the open, and because people want to understand that having an abortion is okay.

Getting Rid of the Guilt and Sadness After an Abortion
This post is inspired by questions for The Council from a reader named Liz in response to a post we wrote titled, Getting Rid of Depression After an Abortion. Liz says she’s struggled with this as well from an abortion she had 11 years ago. She was unable to have intimate relations after the abortion and mysteriously started loosing her hair. Recently she’s started to feel emotions about this abortion that she’s suppressed: deep sadness, anger, resentment, guilt, and shame.
Liz says she doesn’t know how to tell the spirit of the aborted child she’s sorry for terminating the pregnancy, she’s sorry she was careless about getting pregnant, and she’s sorry for feeling resentment about the abortion. She doesn’t know how to forgive herself and let go of this toxic mix of emotions. She’s writing to ask The Council for guidance.
The Council says there is nothing to feel sad, guilty, or depressed about. Every single abortion, including Liz’s, is pre-planned either in spirit before hand, or it’s agreed upon in spirit that when the time comes the souls of the parents and the child will make the decision to abort or move forward.
The Council says perhaps the child didn’t want to live a whole life. Perhaps it only wanted a short visit in Liz’s womb just to experience that. The Council says from our human viewpoint we don’t understand what the soul of this child desires, but in spirit the entire matter was discussed and agreed upon. They repeat there is no purpose for guilt and sadness. Liz should focus on the thought that she completed what was agreed upon by each party and now everyone is free to go on the next part of their journey.
The Council advises Liz to work on her heart and throat centers. Send the energy of love to her throat and talk about what she desires without holding back. Speak with kindness. And the color blue will activate her throat center.
The Council says the color green can activate her heart. Picture love filling her chest cavity and going down her shoulders and arms into her fingers. They advise Liz to allow herself to heal and feel again. As she speaks freely and can feel emotions, even if they are sad at first, her body will begin to work properly.
The Council says as Liz acknowledges her negative, depressive, sad thoughts, she should ask how she can begin to change these thoughts by moving forward into more joyous thoughts. They say everything Liz wants is within her, but she must get to a place of joy so she can create what she desires. There is no reason for continuing to focus on negative thoughts.
The Council asks Liz what she’s learned from this abortion. She went through this abortion so she could begin asking if there’s more to her life. As she asks the questions, she brings in the answers from The Council and others. They say Liz has done exactly what she planned to do and now she needs to move beyond her negative feelings.
Part of what Liz wanted to experience from this abortion was a connection to her spirituality. She wanted to learn there is so much more to who she is than a physical body. By going through this abortion and experiencing sadness and depression and asking for more, she brings help from the spiritual world. She can now connect with the spirit of her aborted child because it’s not dead, it’s just not in her physical life right now, but it’s in her life spiritually and they are still connected. And The Council advises Liz to connect with this love.
The Council says as you and Liz read and listen to this post a healing will take place and you all will grow, and that is part of The Council’s purpose.

Moving Past Struggles Over an Abortion
This post is inspired by an anonymous reader who struggles to forgive herself for having an abortion. She sees this as an opportunity for spiritual growth, but she gets stuck and asks The Council how she can move past the regrets she experiences. She believes healing will come if she’s able to have another child, but she’s worried her negativity from her abortion is preventing her from getting pregnant. Anonymous asks The Council if there’s anything she needs to do before she’s able to conceive again.
The Council sees that Anonymous carries guilt with her about her abortion and they remind her and all women who experience a terminated pregnancy there’s no need for this guilt. All pregnancies are pre-planned in spirit. She and the soul of this child wanted to experience this. The Council says if she were in school she’d received an A+ for following this challenge she and the child picked to experience and she’s promoted to the next level. They add that the next level is for feeling love for herself and being proud of what she’s done, and proud for the soul of this child that she allowed it to experience what it wanted.
The Council sees Anonymous’s desire for another child and they remind her of the difficulty creating what she desires when her vibration isn’t in one of joy. They suggest thinking positively and changing how she thinks about her abortion: get to a place where she can see she created the abortion and if it’s her desire, she doesn’t need to experience it again.
Moving forward The Council suggests Anonymous do whatever she can to get to a joyful place. She can do this by finding memories that make her laugh or watching movies that make her laugh and raise her vibration. Begin to think of a new child and the life she can offer it.
The Council asks Anonymous to practice a meditation that concentrates on her heart center. At first see a tiny light within her heart. And as she experiences more joy this light will grow. This is the light of her creation. As this light becomes brighter and brighter it opens the door to whatever she desires.
The Council recommends that in this light Anonymous bring what she wishes to create into her mind and into her feelings. Feel the love and then she’ll be able to move forward and have another child if that’s her desire. Her purpose now is to work on her heart chakra and make the light and the feeling within it grow.

Working Through Negative Feelings Around Abortion
This post in inspired by an anonymous reader who asked The Council a few months ago if the soul she aborted would return to her in a future pregnancy. She was feeling sad and guilty about the abortion and has tried to work through her negative feelings about it, but she feels there’s more work to do. Now she asks The Council if they have any guidance for working through these negative feelings in a healthy way and learning to forgive herself.
The Council suggests finding a qualified person who can do some past life regression with her. She can connect with the aborted soul and perhaps receive some communication that feeling guilty is unnecessary. The abortion was pre-planned in spirit and this aborted soul is continually sending her love to help her get past the guilt she’s experiencing.
The Council suggests reading books and listening to CDs by Brian Weiss on past life regression. These should help her understand her journey and she’ll experience a great connection if she does this.

Having More Positive Thoughts After My Abortion?
This post is inspired by a follow-up question from a reader named Michelle, who was advised by The Council to think better feeling thoughts after she terminated a pregnancy and she’s asking for help with this.
The Council advises Michelle to concentrate on who she is as a spiritual being and to think about the direction she’d like her life to go in right now. They ask if she feels secure about not having any more children, which they feel is a decision made by Michelle’s husband.
The Council advises Michelle not to feel guilty because she had an abortion. This abortion was pre-planned in spirit by her and the soul of the child she aborted, and she and the child have fulfilled what they wished to experience.
The Council asks what Michelle has learned from this abortion. Does she wish to get pregnant again and have another child? They tell Michelle only she can make this decision.
The Council says the aborted pregnancy was a wake up call for Michelle to take control of what she wants and not do what other people want her to do. It’s about changing her path and waking up to what she wants in her life. This is how her higher self planned to bring her to this point and then move her forward.
The Council advises Michelle to every now and then gently bring up the idea with her husband that the thought of having another child makes her feel happy. How she speaks about this can make her husband more open to having another child. The Council also recommends doing the inner work of seeing things the way she wants them to be and imagine it’s already happening, because it is happening in another reality. They advise Michelle to bring this reality to her with her thoughts and feelings.
The Council advises Michelle to let go of any guilty feeling about terminating her earlier pregnancy. As she stays in the vibration of guilt and sadness she cannot create the joy she wants. They say to go into the vibration of joy by thinking of good memories and fantasizing a very happy future. As she feels her mood begin to feel more positive, that’s when she’s able to create what she wants.
The Council says Michelle’s husband is possibly influenced not to have another child by his elderly mother living with them and perhaps when his mother passes, his mind would begin to change.
The Council says the soul of Michelle’s aborted child would like to see Michelle change her life and begin to think about what she would like her life to be like going forward. This is the reason for the abortion.

Will the Soul I Aborted Return in a Future Pregnancy?
This post is inspired by a question from an Anonymous reader who asks The Council if the soul she recently aborted will return to her in a future pregnancy. She says this abortion wasn’t an easy decision for her and her husband and she’s been missing the baby and feeling like a guilty, bad mother. She says oddly she didn’t feel connected to the baby while she was pregnant. Only after the abortion did she feel connected to this soul.
The Council says she wanted to experience how she’d feel when someone she loved passes on and she created this in a way where she was pregnant and aborted the child she felt no connection to. Now that the child is gone she feels the connection and has the opportunity to learn the lesson that love is forever. The connection she felt in her physical reality isn’t broken when one soul returns to spirit.
The Council says she pre-determined in spirit to be able to become pregnant again and it was agreed that this same soul she aborted would return in this future pregnancy. She was not a bad mother. She was creating a lesson for herself, and they ask her to remember that lesson when others she knows pass from this lifetime.
There is a sadness from not being connected in physical reality, but she can still feel them and talk to them in her mind and dreams. They say this connection was an important lesson for her to learn and to share with others.
The Council says the spirit of the baby that was aborted was part of this decision. It knew it would be aborted so the mother could learn the lesson about love transcending physical reality. But this soul would not go away and if Anonymous brings this soul back there will be many new lessons they will learn together. Anonymous did exactly what she pre-planned in spirit and has no reason to feel bad about terminating her pregnancy.
In their closing The Council asks us all to remember our promise as we all came into this physical reality to bring love into this reality, no matter what the reality is. Should I Give My Marriage a Second Chance?
This post is inspired by follow-up questions from Vacha, who terminated a pregnancy, returned to India with her son, and separated from her abusive husband in America. Now she’s asking if her marriage is finally over or can it still work out if she gives it good thoughts and positive energy?
The Council says the end result of Vacha’s marriage is entirely up to her. They ask her what she sees in her life right now. Is she getting along better with her husband, and have circumstances changed that made their life together so miserable for her?
The Council says Vacha will create with her beliefs what happens in her marriage. If she believes her husband won’t change and thinks she’ll be wasting her time trying to have good thoughts and a happy marriage, The Council says she is already in a negative vibration. They add it’s possible to create happiness with anyone, but she must believe in this happiness. If she believes she’s tried time after time to make her marriage work and doesn’t see a change, then there’s a belief her marriage will not change.
The Council says Vacha pre-birth planned in spirit to learn independence in this lifetime, and they suggest once she experiences this independence then it may be possible to change her relationship with her husband for the better.
Vacha also asks about her mother and father and says her mother is dealing with bad treatment from her own father (Vacha’s grandfather). The Council asks Vacha how she feels about this and does she see her future becoming like her mother’s.
Vacha says her mother and father don’t have a good relationship, and The Council asks her to look at this. Is this what she wants for herself? In order for Vacha’s parents to feel better they would have to begin seeing each other differently. They will need to talk about things they like about each other and appreciate the years they have been together. They will need to change their thinking and focus on positive aspects of their relationship.
In their closing The Council asks us to remember the promise we made in spirit to bring love into this lifetime in everything we do, and they suggest this is what we should meditate on.

What If We Don’t Want Another Child?
This post is inspired by a follow-up question from Michelle, who terminated a pregnancy last month because the timing wasn’t right for bringing another child into her family, but Michelle was having difficulty finding peace with this decision.
In our post to answer Michelle’s original question (Some Clarification on a Recent Abortion), The Council advised Michelle and her partner based on Michelle’s desire to possibly have this child when the timing is right. Now Michelle is asking what can be done of she and her partner decide not to have another child. She wants to know how she can release this spirit who is waiting to return to her in a future pregnancy. if there is one, and doesn’t want to “mess up” a plan that was made if she chooses not to get pregnant again.
The Council says there’s an understanding that if there’s a change of heart and another child isn’t desired, this is fine. They advise Michelle to send love to the soul who was on standby and let it know that at this point in your life what you had planned has taken a turn and it’s not necessary for it to come into her lifetime.
The soul will wait until Michelle definitely decides she doesn’t want another child. If she’s unsure, the soul will wait to see if it will be needed to fulfill the original agreement.

Questions About the Souls of Babies Who Aren’t Born
This post is inspired by questions from a reader named Mariner2Mother, who asks The Council about the soul of a child from one of her early pregnancies where the child was aborted. A medium told her the soul of a child is with her in spirit and she wonders if it is this soul.
The Council says they don’t see the souls from earlier pregnancies around Mariner2Mother specifically. They say these souls have moved on, but they add that these souls will always be sending her support and love.
Mariner2Mother says later when she got married and tried to start a family she had a miscarriage and asks The Council if there was a soul involved in this pregnancy because the fertilized egg never developed. The Council says there was a soul associated with this pregnancy and there is always a soul associated with every pregnancy, even if the child isn’t born.

Advice on Miscarrying a Pregnancy
This post is inspired by questions from a reader named Miyam who is past her first trimester of pregnancy and she says she’s tried to abort with herbs because she can’t afford a medical abortion. Miyam has tried speaking with the soul of the unborn child in the hope of convincing it to miscarry, and she asks The Council for advice on convincing this soul to terminate it’s pregnancy rather than be born.
The Council says the spirit of this unborn child understands that Miyam wants it to miscarry, but the reason Miyam got pregnant was for her to realize she must take more control of her life and move it forward in the direction she chooses. The Council advises Miyam not to expect a miscarriage in this pregnancy. They say she must make a decision whether to give birth to the child and raise it by herself, or be brave enough to make the decision to end her pregnancy.
Miyam says she doesn’t plan on being a mother any time soon, and The Council repeats that the child won’t magically go away. They advise her to then move forward an have the pregnancy terminated, but it must be done soon.
The Council suggest Miyam continue speaking to the child and feel the love it sends her so she can be strong enough to make the decision that she wants. They say if she chooses to abort, this is fine. It was part of the pre-planning. The lesson for Miyam in this is to answer the question, where is she going forward from this point?
The Council suggests finding a way not to live with the man she apparently doesn’t want to be with. Find a way to live on your own. Move toward these dreams. They say that is Miyam’s answer.

Some Clarification on a Recent Abortion
This post is inspired by a question from a reader named Michelle who asks The Council about her recent abortion. She and her husband made the decision together to abort the child, but Michelle is having difficulty finding peace with her decision. She understands much of what we’ve posted on the subject of abortion, but feels she could still benefit from some additional clarification.
The Council says this pregnancy and abortion was pre-planned in spirit by all involved, including the spirit of the aborted child. At this time a greater feeling of love and togetherness is needed, and a focus on the relationship moving forward before Michelle and her partner are ready to have a child. At this time they aren’t where their higher selves planned them to be when giving birth.
The Council says if they didn’t abort this child there would have been a miscarriage. While there is happiness in this relationship, there is also the thought something is not quite right with the timing for a child.
Focus on creating the proper environment and a loving relationship. Speak to the spirit of the child that will come and tell them what is planned and invite the child back. Meditate, pray, or talk together about plans for the future with this child. All positive thoughts will bring this child in.
The purpose of this pregnancy and abortion at this time was to highlight was is needed in this relationship to bring a child into a loving environment and reassuring the spirit of this child what is planned. The Council believes the same spirit that was aborted will return.
Michelle says during and after both her earlier pregnancies with her two current children she was depressed and she was worried the depression would come back. Now she’s feeling depressed anyway. The Council says this depression must be changed with Michelle’s thoughts. Worrying about this coming back will bring it back. Michelle needs to practice changing her thoughts. Focus on the life they desire and bring love into this situation.

Past Life Death and an Abortion in This Life
This post is inspired by follow up questions from a private phone session for a reader named Andrea, who was told her abortion last summer was pre-planned before she was born and the spirit of the child was waiting to return to her in a future pregnancy. The abortion was related to a past life where she died in an orphanage fire where she was taking care of the children, and she’s struggling to understand the relationship between these two events.
The Council says in this past life, not being able to save herself and the children from this fire, she died feeling guilty and with the belief she doesn’t deserve to have children around her. In her current lifetime she comes in wanting children, but the subconscious memory from the lifetime with the fire makes her believe she cannot take care of them.
Andrea must learn this is a different life from her life with the fire and now she has a chance to redo her experience with children and become a great parent or teacher. When she truly believes this she will have one or more children and there will be no more miscarriages or abortions.
Andrea’s abortion was the result of her subconscious belief she wasn’t worthy to give birth to a child and be around them. As she learns to focus on all the good things she’ll be able to create in a life with children and brings love into the current reality, she’ll be able to give birth to one or more children.

Questions About Abortion
This post is inspired by comments and questions from a reader named Isobel who begins by thanking The Council for their post on Beth’s Story: A Spiritual Perspective and how she doesn’t believe the articles she’s read about women who abort a child and pay for this lifetime after lifetime.
The Council says in spirit, when there are lessons we wish to learn before we come into a particular lifetime, and we don’t quite learn these lessons in that lifetime, we can choose to repeat these lessons in additional lifetimes until we’re sure of the love that exists between all of the parties involved. There is no payment or karma involved that a woman must repeat her abortion lifetime after lifetime. If an abortion is experienced, it is by the loving choice of the spirit to see the experience differently until there is complete love and understanding of that process as a human being.
Isobel recently terminated a pregnancy and wants to know if it was the spirit of a girl she miscarried when she was much younger. The Council says the spirit of this child was known from other lifetimes, but it wasn’t the soul of the child she miscarried.
The Council says this abortion was planned in spirit to learn more about abortion and the process of agreement between the child, the father, herself, and anyone else involved, and then to quickly let go of these feelings and move forward. The Council asks Isobel to meditate on her desire in spirit to move forward and not linger any longer than necessary on the abortion.
Isobel asks if the spirit of the aborted child is likely to return to her in a future pregnancy. And The Council says there’s a possibility she’ll get pregnant again with this partner, but the soul will be a different soul that she knows from another lifetime; not the soul she aborted in this lifetime.

Are All Abortions Pre-planned in Spirit Before Birth?
This post is inspired by questions from a reader who goes by the name Mangojuice13, who previously asked questions about her abortion. Mangojuice13 points out in her current comment that in several of our posts The Council has said abortions are always pre-planned, but in a previous post answering Mangojuice13’s questions we wrote that all abortions aren’t pre-planned, and she asks us to explain this apparent discrepancy.
In our session to answer Mangojuice’s current questions The Council says when a woman becomes pregnant this is pre-planned and there are basically three options concerning abortion and it’s pre-planning in spirit. The first option is the desire to experience an abortion in this lifetime and The Council says this is definitely pre-planned in spirit. The second option is the desire to have the baby, in which case this is also pre-planned. The third option is to become pregnant, but to pre-plan the option to abort the child or have the child. In this case there is an agreement in spirit by all parties concerned to wait and see what the circumstances are at the time of the pregnancy and to make the decision at that time.
Mangojuice13 asks The Council if the soul of the child she aborted will return to her in a future pregnancy or will it be a different soul? And The Council says what they see is this soul moving on, and if there’s another pregnancy it will be a different soul.
Mangojuice13 asks The Council what the soul she aborted is currently doing. And The Council says going to school, planning another lifetime, and helping others in our lifetime. They say there are many things going on at one time for spirits in the spirit world.
Mangojuice13 asks The Council if her aborted child was going to be a male or a female? And The Council says there wasn’t a decision made by this soul regarding it’s gender. When Bob expressed confusion about this The Council said in this particular case the soul did not have plans to be borne and didn’t make the decision whether it would be a male or a female. They said usually the decision is made by three months into the pregnancy, but they have seen circumstances where this isn’t the case and they say it’s up to the soul that’s being born.
Lastly Mangojuice13 asks The Council how many children they see her having in this lifetime. And The Council says at this particular time they see one child, but they add that it’s possible for Mangojuice13, depending on her desire, to recreate this and have less or more children. Bob asks if there’s a preference for a male or female child and The Council says it seems like there’s a preference for a male at this time.

Am I Meant to be a Mother?
This post is inspired by several follow-up questions from a reader named Carolyne on our post about whether her 3 previous abortions were the same spirit.
First Carolyne asks if everything that’s happening to her is pre-planned or happening by chance. The Council says particularly the fun things and the difficult things are pre-planned to help her with the lessons she wished to learn. When Bob asked if some things aren’t pre-planned but are decided in the moment, The Council replied that the subjects Carolyne is asking about are all pre-planned by her as a spiritual being.
Carolyne says she’s in a relationship that others think is wrong for her. And The Council says the way to tell if a relationship is right for you is if you find happiness and growth, and feel love for yourself and your partner.
Carolyne asks the reasons behind her 3 terminated pregnancies because she doesn’t want to repeat what she considers these mistakes again. The Council sees this comes from another lifetime of great struggle and poverty in China where she had 7 children. In her current lifetime they recommend Carolyne look carefully at whether she desires to have children or the freedom of not having children, and they emphasize there is no right or wrong path.
Carolyne asks how she can keep from terminating a pregnancy again. And The Council suggests Carolyne think about what she really wants in her life and take the steps to change this.
Carolyne asks if the spirits she aborted are sad for cutting their lives short. And The Council replies, of course not. These spirits recruited themselves to play this part for her. There is nothing to forgive. There were no wrong moves. These spirits will only wish Carolyne love.

Whether to Abort at Almost 42 Years Old?
This post is inspired by a comment from Diana, who’s experiencing an unplanned pregnancy at almost 42 years old, but is contemplating an abortion for financial reasons. She says she’d like to have a family, but she’s afraid of a life of struggle and poverty with a young child, and she asks The Council for any insight that might help her.
The Council says if Diana wants a family in this particular lifetime, this is her chance. And they tell her this so that later on she doesn’t regret giving up this opportunity. But at the same time The Council advises Diana there’s absolutely nothing wrong with choosing not to bring a child into a life where poverty might be the only option if this is her choice.
The Council says they see the soul of this child has agreed to come to Diana this one time only. It isn’t likely to return. They say whether she chooses to abort the pregnancy or not, either way will be the correct choice. And they say the soul of this child knows it’s here for Diana to either abort it, or if she chooses to bring it into this lifetime, it has things it would like to experience. The choice is Diana’s, and each path will have lessons and experiences for her.
The Council says the poverty is something that her and her partner chose to experience in this lifetime. Staying with this partner it’s good to think where their path can go now and then begin to create the change they would like to have. This is something The Council recommends whether they decide to have this child or not. The inner work they do will bring them to outer experiences that will help them change. And The Council says if they decide to have this child, there will be time during the pregnancy to experience these changes.
The Council says no matter what they teach, and how they show us there are many paths in front of us, the choice is always ours. No one can make the choices for us. Go in the direction of love and you’ll see your answers come to you. Let go of fear. As you raise your vibration you will see the changes you wish, the understanding you need, and the clarity to see what’s going on.

Do Animals Have Souls?
This post is inspired by questions about the spiritual life of animals and their caretakers from someone who goes by the name, Trying To Learn. Trying begins by asking if animals have souls? And The Council replies, of course, and so does a blade of grass, or a tree, or a flower.
Next Trying asks if animals review their life the way humans do when they pass on to spirit. And The Council says human beings are the only souls that review their lives. An animal only knows what it has experienced and learns from feeling, not from thought. When animals return to spirit they can choose to play with the other souls there or return to a loved one who’s still in human form. And the purpose of each animal is to experience love.
Trying To Learn asks if there are spirits to care for the animals as they pass over to spirit. And The Council says as animals pass over, while the situation may look horrible from a human point of view, the animals know how to make this transition and always feel spirit’s love for them and love for the people around them.
The Council says animals are here to bring love into this incarnation and they try to teach the humans around them about compassion and love.
Trying asks if animals reincarnate as the same animal or a different animal. And The Council answers that it’s with their feelings they choose whether to come back as the same animal, a different animal, or maybe to evolve into a human.
The Council points out how animals have evolved over the years. They say you would never put a dog and a cat together or a cat and a bird. But we see pictures of a dog hugging a cat or a cat loving a bird, and each time an animal enters our reality they bring more love with them.
The Council says there are brave human souls that agree to play the part of an animal abuser to show other humans the way not to be. They are here to wake everyone else up to finding better ways to do everything in the vibration of love.
Trying brings up the point that vegetarians are often pro-choice when it comes to abortion. They don’t understand how someone can choose not eat meat, but be willing to end the life of a soul. They ask if there’s a relationship here or if these examples are different categories. And The Council replies this is two different categories: one involving a choice what to eat and on involving a choice whether to have a child or to abort it.
In their closing The Council advises all of us to go in the direction of love we’ll quickly see the changes we desire and the answers will come to us.

Afraid Abortion Wasn’t Pre-Planned and the Spirit Won’t Return
This post is inspired by a reader named Andrea who aborted her child after a 13-week pregnancy. Andrea says she doesn’t feel this abortion was pre-planned. She instead believes she allowed her free will to interfere and abort what she feels was her only chance at having a child. Andrea begged the spirit of her aborted child to come back to her in a future pregnancy, but she guesses this is unlikely because she’s 39 years old.
The first thing The Council says in this session is that abortions are always pre-planned. Then they say from where they are in spirit they don’t have to guess about Andrea becoming pregnant again. This spirit is waiting to return if this is truly what she wants.
The Council suggests Andrea ask if she’s beginning to understand she is a spirit in a physical body. If she’s not there yet, she needs to do some research on this and on pre-birth planning and past lives. She needs to get to a place where she knows there’s a reason for everything that happens.
The Council says Andrea’s abortion has brought her to a place where she needs to look deeper into these subjects of pre-birth planning and past lives, and that’s why she’s arrived at this point. When she’s able to let go of the thought that this abortion happened because her free will made a wrong decision, she’ll realize she’s right on track.
Now she should move forward and learn about other realities, and how we bring talent and challenges from these other lifetimes into our current lifetime. When she’s able to let go of the idea that something happened to her and embrace the idea she’s creating what happens, she’ll then be in a new place where she can start creating what she wants. And if a child is desired at that time, the spirit will return to Andrea because it’s agreed to and because there is a desire to be together again.

Ashley’s Purpose in This Lifetime
This post is inspired by questions from a reader named Ashley, who asks The Council about her past and present lives, her abortion, her current boyfriend, and chakras, in addition to several other questions and a bit of background in 3 separate Comments posts, but The Council decides to talk about her purpose in this lifetime.
The Council sees Ashley has looked for many teachers and experimented with many paths, and they say this is precisely what she planned to do. They notice she’s feeling frustrated with everything she’s learned and this is because the answers are within her. The Council says Ashley is to now turn inward and realize she is the light, the love, the intelligence, and the spiritual being she’s searching for.
The Council says that while meditation is always a good way to look inward, they feel in Ashley’s case she should also read about near death experiences and past lives to hear stories of people who have passed on and come back to show there’s more going on than what takes place in this physical lifetime. They say this will help Ashley believe more in herself and begin to trust in her abilities.
The Council says being open to all these other beliefs and paths was good experience for Ashley, but it wasn’t enough and now she needs to turn inward and find out more about herself and the spirit world. And this will help her tune into a finer vibration of the love that’s felt in spirit, and will bring her joy.
The Council says Ashley was meant to be an example of a more positive and hopeful person, and as she discovers this for herself she’ll also be able to do this for her partner and the people around her. She is doing exactly what she planned and experiencing everything she wanted to experience. Now her questions about spirituality will lead her to a better understanding of herself.
The Counsel says all abortions are an agreement between the mother, the father, and the spirit of the child who is aborted.
Ashley mentions learning more about chakras and The Council says chakras are energy that helps you create your life experience with your thoughts and beliefs. If she feels this subject holds something for her, The Council suggests Ashley study this. And how she thinks about chakras will determine how it affects her life.
The Council says if there isn’t much interest in chakras, or she’s ready to go beyond these beliefs, they ask Ashley to continually find time to sit in the energy of white light and bring it into and around her body, in her surroundings, and just begin to feel it. It is always there. Stay positive and bring yourself to the vibration of happiness and joy, which is who you are as spirit.
Ordinarily we end our sessions with an exchange blessings, but in this case The Council adds that spirit wants everyone in our human reality to know they are sending us their support. And they are thinking how courageous many of us are to go through what we experience, and how many of us are saying we’re finally turning our lives around. And they say as spirit sends more and more energy, more people are open to receiving this energy.

Why Did I Get Pregnant and What Can It Teach Me?
This post is inspired by a question from a reader who uses the name Bundle of Emotions. She recently found out she was pregnant and immediately knew she would terminate this pregnancy. She says her spirit guides previously told her if she continued to be intimate with her partner, she’d get pregnant and end the pregnancy, and this is what happened. And The Council suggests the reason for this pregnancy is that she planned it in spirit.
While Bundle says she feels overwhelmed with shame about her decision to abort, she also feels relief knowing her decision is right for her. And the more she understands a reader named Beth’s questions and answers from one of our earlier posts, the less guilty she feels.
Part of the reason for this pregnancy was to connect with her higher self, and The Council feels she’s done this. Bundle wanted to go through this experience no matter what the people around her said or expected from her. The Council advises her to stay with this good feeling about terminating the pregnancy rather than the feeling of shame. And they ask her how she could feel ashamed of something she planned to experience in the first place.
The Council asks Bundle to think about how she plans to use this experience as she goes through others where she has decisions to make. They advise her to remember the feeling of making a correct decision, believing in what she desires to create, and believing in the direction she wants to take her life. The experience of this pregnancy is a catalyst to remind Bundle of these feelings.
The Council says if Bundle begins to meditate, or just sits quietly and speaks with her higher self so she can be guided daily, she’ll experience additional desirable adventures. And knowing she’s connecting with her higher self and moving forward with what she wants to experience, she will open to intuitive feelings about the people around her and herself.
You wanted to experience the part of yourself that’s much more powerful and intuitive than you normally believe. And if you listen to your higher self you’ll feel more stable, more confident about the direction you desire to take your life, and you’ll have more trust in yourself.

An Abortion and the Questions about Change it Inspired
This post is inspired by questions from a reader named Nacole, and the questions her abortion prompted her to ask The Council.
Nacole starts by saying she’s read the bible most of her life, prayed over everything, and was very judgmental toward women who had abortions because she thought it was selfish. But today she had an abortion and she surprisingly finds herself at peace. The Council interjects here it’s wonderful how Nacole realizes she was judgmental about something she was unable to accept, and how in spirit she set up going through an abortion so she could learn something new about this experience.
Nacole says she felt the father of her last child was her soulmate, but he left when she was seven months pregnant and she’s been devastated by this. Her current pregnancy is with a man who’s in a relationship with another woman and he disappeared when Nacole told him she was pregnant, which she expected. And so she decided to abort this pregnancy rather than go through it alone.
Nacole says she’s home now after the abortion and she was prepared to battle suicidal thoughts and extreme fatigue, but they never came. She can’t explain it, but she feels love rather than guilt or pain. She’s been thinking about the baby she aborted and all she can do is smile at the thought of her. And she feels an unexplainable impulse to make changes in her life life like stopping smoking, reduce her alcohol consumption, lose weight, and get rid of bad relationships with people who treat her poorly.
When Nacole used Google to get information about what she was feeling, she came upon our website and was pleasantly surprised by the stories of other women’s abortions and how much they reminded her of what she was experiencing. And she asks The Council six questions.
Nacole wants to know how difficult the process of changing her life will be. And The Council says, as difficult as she believes. They say Nacole planned this abortion in spirit to teach herself about her beliefs and her judgements towards other people. And The Council tells Nacole her calmness and very little cramping and bleeding is coming to her because the child she aborted is a very strong soul who is sending her love to get her past this part of her life.
The Council advises Nacole to focus on bringing one change at a time into her life. Acknowledging the changes she desires is the first step. Focus on what she desires rather than the difficulty of the change. And The Council advises Nacole to see nothing is permanent, everything can be changed, the direction of this change is her choice, and she shouldn’t give up.
Nacole asks The Council what will happen if she fails bringing these changes about, and The Council replies there is no failure. The only way Nacole can fail is if she gives up all her dreams, and they don’t see this happening.
When Nacole asks if she’ll ever get over her relationship with the father of her two year old daughter and find someone new, and The Council says why not. It’s her choice. That relationship wasn’t going in the direction she desired, so create from that point forward. Ask yourself what type of person you want to be with. Find a match in your mind and your feelings and you will easily forget what didn’t work out in this previous relationship and create a new one.
Nacole asks how the abortion can be changing her thoughts and beliefs so quickly, and The Council says it’s because she’s now tuned in to her higher self and this is what she planned in spirit before birth.
When Nacole asks why she doesn’t feel guilty about the abortion and The Council asks how she can feel guilty when she is feeling peace and there is understanding of how life can change.
And Nacole’s final question is will the spirit of this child she aborted come back to her in this lifetime, and The Council says they see this spirit moving on. What they’ve created together in this lifetime was enough for both of them to learn from and they both have different experiences they wish to learn now. But they emphasize Nacole will always be able to experience the love from this spirit even though they are both moving on.

What to Do with a Medium’s Scary Guidance
This post is inspired by questions from a reader named Delfos who had an abortion about a year ago and felt very sad about it until recently when she started to feel better and clearer.
The Council sympathizes with Delfos and says it’s sad in our reality when we feel an abortion ends a connection with a soul we love. But for all abortions The Council says there is an understanding and an agreement between your soul and the soul of the fetus. You never lose that connection and there is no ending.
Recently Delfos was told by another medium that the aborted child was a girl who is very angry and sad because she wasn’t allowed to come into this life. The Council asks Delfos why this spirit would be angry for not being born when it beautifully planned with her in spirit to be aborted before they both were born? Why would this soul be angry when it is back in spirit where there is no anger, only joy and love? The Council is clear with Delfos that she was following a path that she mapped out with this spirit and her decision to abort wasn’t wrong.
When Delfos says she told this medium that she only felt love and acceptance from this aborted soul The Council enthusiastically suggests she hang on to that feeling. But Delfos says the medium tried to make her feel guilty and says she needed additional sessions to release this soul. To this The Council replies why would Delfos go back to this person who made her feel guilty and uncomfortable. And The Council adds this was just an experience Delfos created and now she can chose to accept it or not.
At this point Bob suggests Delfos might go back to this medium because she thinks the medium will be able to remove her guilt. And The Council replies only Delfos can choose to let the guilt go and hold onto the love this aborted spirit is sending her. That is what she needs to focus on. And The Council adds this aborted spirit is very much at peace and in joy, and still is sending Delfos love.
Delfos says this medium told her if she doesn’t solve this situation she won’t be able to get pregnant again, or that her future child will be angry and messed up. To this The Council says they feel Delfos knows much better than to believe this.
When this medium tells Delfos she has personality problems and her dead grandmother is worried about her, The Council says there is no worry in spirit. Spirit sees what we choose to experience and sends us love to help us through whatever we choose to go through. There is nothing wrong with Delfos.
The Council explains that Delfos attracted this medium into her life as a challenge whether to feel fear and stay in it or know better and choose to feel the love and remember her connection with this aborted spirit. It’s a situation that Delfos created so she could see the opposite of love and then remember she and her aborted child are pure love.

Confused By Becoming Pregnant with a Friend
This post is inspired by questions from a reader who calls herself ‘S’, who’s sure she’s pregnant again after terminating a pregnancy a year ago. The father is a friend who isn’t interested in dating S, but she feels drawn to him for reasons she’s unable to explain. She doesn’t feel right about ending this friendship and it’s intimate physical benefits, but has felt that she should. Now she’s confused about why she’s created this pregnancy and where things are headed with the father.
The Council says the purpose of S getting pregnant was to give birth to a soul she’s shared other lifetimes with, so they could move forward and create together in this lifetime. If S feels the child isn’t wanted at this particular time, The Council says this reality will change (the child won’t come full term) and this spirit will return to S in a future pregnancy.
S asks how much power she has in creating an outcome, and how does she know whether to focus on being with the father and child as a family – or not? The Council says if S truly wants to stay with her friend as a family, she can create this with her vibration, her thoughts, and her feelings. Whether S chooses to end her relationship with her friend or not, it’s purpose was to help get her pregnant with this spirit.
S says she thinks the soul she’s pregnant with now is the same soul she was pregnant with a year ago and The Council agrees. And they repeat that if this child isn’t wanted at this particular time, this spirit will return in a future pregnancy.
The Council advises S that she has many options with this pregnancy. She can abort and wait until she meets someone else. She can abort and bring in this spirit at a later date with her friend if she chooses to stay in this relationship. She can have the child now and leave this relationship with her friend if it’s not the right relationship for her. The Council suggests S search her feelings, determine what she wants, and create from there.

Guilt Over Terminating a Pregnancy
This post is inspired by a question from Vacha about a planned termination of her pregnancy. (We previously posted our session with The Council on Vacha’s question as a single track with minimal comments because Vacha had an appointment the next day to have the abortion and we wanted her to hear the session as quickly as possible.)
Vacha says the abortion feels right to her, but she feels guilty about not giving her baby a chance to live. She has read and listened to several of our other posts on abortion and feels comforted by the thought that this abortion could be planned by her spirit and the spirit of her child, and she asks The Council for information about this.
The Council begins by reminding Vacha that choice is her most powerful tool and this abortion was a choice she planned in spirit before she came into this lifetime. She wanted to make the decision to abort based on how she felt rather than on the opinions of other people.
The Council says Vacha planned in spirit to get pregnant so she could find the strength to wake up to who she truly is as a spiritual being and what she wants in her life. They say the spirit of this child chose to help Vacha become more dependent on herself, her beliefs, and what she wants. The Council encourages Vacha to make her choice knowing it’s what the two spirits planned, and to think about how this abortion will change her life.
When Vacha feels there’s a problem with her health or when she feels there are ongoing issues with her husband, the purpose of this pregnancy is to help her look at these issues and think about how she’d like to change them in her life.
Vacha should begin to plan how she’d like her life to be. The Council says the question here is not whether she should terminate this pregnancy. The agreement between her spirit and the spirit of the child was made because Vacha needs to wake up to the life she was living, decide what would make her choose to live her life differently, and look at the bigger picture.
As Vacha prays and meditates, she should begin to feel the presence of the child’s spirit, the love, support, and light it will continue to send her so both spirits can continue to move forward on their journeys.
The Council advises Vacha to let go of any guilt she has about terminating this pregnancy. She and the spirit of the child are following a plan that was made and has brought her to the exact point both spirits wanted. Now she is to create what she wants in her life moving forward.

Getting Rid of Depression After An Abortion
This post is inspired by questions for The Council from a reader named Sarah, who had an abortion about a year earlier and feels it left her clinically depressed. She’s scared she’ll have depression for the rest of her life, but she’s not comfortable taking anti-depressants.
The Council starts by saying we experience depression when we’re not connected to who we truly are as spiritual beings, and they suggest meditating on this and focusing less on something being wrong with Sarah’s brain. And they add that as spiritual beings we understand we are here to find the joy in our experience, and because Sarah is so unhappy, this depression is pushing her to search for something more.
The Council recommends books and videos that teach how we plan our lifetimes as spiritual beings and they specifically suggest reading books by Robert Schwartz. And they say depression comes because Sarah doesn’t appreciate what she’s created for herself and the spirit she aborted. Many think of abortion as an ending of a life, but The Council says it’s a beginning because this soul is now free to have other experiences, including returning to Sarah in a future pregnancy.
The Council says Sarah had a spiritual contract with this aborted soul who wanted to experience what it was like to be part of an aborted pregnancy. This soul was not interested in experiencing a full term pregnancy but if Sarah wishes to move forward, this soul can return to her in a future pregnancy. And The Council says these two souls will have a closer bond because they experienced this abortion together.
The Council emphasizes there isn’t any need for Sarah to feel depressed about this abortion because everything went according to the way the two souls planned this, and there is great love between these two spirits, and great love in deciding what path to take next.
The Council encourages Sarah to look for books that connect her to spirit and past lives, and they recommend the books of Emmanuel by Pat Rodegast. They also encourage Sarah to do whatever it takes to get into the vibration of love and joy, and from this vibration she’ll be able to create her future the way she wants it to be.
The Council says this aborted soul has continually been sending Sarah love from the moment this abortion was planned in spirit and there is still a stream of love flowing from this soul to Sarah, helping her to get through this depression. The more Sarah is able to let this love in, the less she’ll need to concern herself with a relapse of depression.
The Council closes with a recommendation to look for little moments of love and joy from her spirit and the spirit of her aborted child to move her forward in this lifetime.

Will the Soul I Aborted Return in a Future Pregnancy?
This post is inspired by a reader named Wendy who asks if the soul of the child she aborted will be able to return to her in a future pregnancy.
The Council advises Wendy, now that she has gone through this abortion, to really focus on getting control of her life. She should think of the direction she’d like her life to go in and plan it that way. She should have more confidence in herself, believe in what she wants no matter what anyone says, and move forward. Wendy should resist the temptation of being talked into what others believe and handing her life over to others. She shouldn’t dwell on why this abortion happened, or the idea that she was talked into something she didn’t want. Wendy needs to trust herself more and surround herself with people she trusts, but always ask about her own desire and what direction she wants to go in.
Wendy says she has a son, and The Council says they hope she’s able to find joy and gratitude he’s in her life. They say this is the beginning of understanding her feelings and connecting with joy, and in joy we create the future.
The Council says Wendy has forgotten how to feel her desire and create what she really wants. They say if the desire is real, her universe will help her through this experience no matter who agrees with her or doesn’t agree with her. And when she is happy with her decisions, the right people will help her move forward in her beliefs.
The Council advises Wendy to work with her focus and her feelings to let go of the sadness and guilt around her abortion, and if she’s able to do this, the aborted soul will return to her in a future pregnancy. They say she has a strong desire for motherhood and this soul is waiting to help her fulfill this desire. The Council sees this happening if Wendy focuses and believes. The say it’s all lined up for her to bring in.

Will My Upcoming Abortion Affect My 1-Year Old Son?
This post is inspired by questions from a reader named Tracy who’s about 2 months pregnant and scheduled to have an abortion the week after she posted her comment. After reading our post on Beth’s abortion she felt at ease, but has difficulty believing that karma won’t get her or her 1-year old son and asks about that. This will be Tracy’s third abortion and she asks if these souls have come back into her life. And she asks for advice on her spirituality, which she struggles with.
The Council starts by saying Tracy’s abortion won’t have a negative impact on her son. They say karma is what you believe and wish to create in your many lifetimes. They say there isn’t any monster karma that will make life miserable for her or her son, and ask Tracy to let go of the fear something in the future will affect them.
The Council says each of Tracy’s three abortions was pre-planned by her in spirit before she was born. They were created so she could learn about the gift of life and how wonderful it is to allow souls to come into this life and create the reality that soul chooses. And they ask Tracy what she has learned from each of these abortions.
The Council says these aborted souls have not returned to Tracy’s life, but have helped her understand her part in creating her son’s life. And they say she wants to understand the spirituality of becoming a parent and to be supportive of what her son creates rather than being a controlling mother.
The Council asks Tracy to meditate on the gift she and her son have given each other. And when she realizes she is a spirit helping another spirit move forward on his path she’ll experience great joy and love, not only for her son, but also for the souls she aborted.
The Council finishes by counseling Tracy to bring love into every situation and ask herself how she feels with each experience she creates. And they say to always ask for more understanding, more acceptance, and more allowing.

Are All Abortions Pre-Planned in Spirit?
This post is inspired by a question from a reader who goes by the name, MangoJuice13, who asks: Are all abortions an agreed upon contract between souls before birth?
MangoJuice13 read our post, Was I Correct in Aborting My Pregnancy?, and was interested to learn the reason for the abortion in that post was to challenge a woman named Laura to see how people swayed her opinion or pushed her to do something she didn’t want to do. MangoJuice13 says she’s in a similar situation.
She made a decision to abort out of fear after her partner pressured her. She says she feels guilty and angry, and wishes she had chosen differently. And she asks: What was the purpose of this abortion and what lesson was it meant to teach her?
The Council says all pregnancies are agreed upon in spirit before birth, but all abortions are not pre-planned. They say sometimes the abortion is pre-planned in spirit. And sometimes the souls agree to come together in a pregnancy, look at what is going on in their reality, and decide then whether to abort the fetus or not. And the soul of the fetus lovingly understands and accepts whatever decision is made.
The Council says MangoJuice13’s abortion was the opposite of what’s been discussed often on our blog. In this situation the soul came forward in spirit and said it wanted to experience being aborted, just living in the womb and not coming into this reality. After the soul expressed the desire to experience abortion, MangoJuice13 stepped forward in spirit and said she would help this soul experience this. This was not a situation where MangoJuice13 wanted to experience an abortion to learn something. It was to help another soul have this experience.
The Council asks MangoJuice13 to now look at her relationship with her boyfriend and figure out if it’s the right relationship for her going forward. And to ask if the people around her are supportive, or are they not allowing her to be who she wishes to be. The Council says that is what she wished to experience.
The Council sees MangoJuice13 developing strength, making a decision to get pregnant again, and deciding if it will be with her current boyfriend or another. And that was a purpose of this experience.

Mother Supports Daughter’s Decision for an Abortion
This post is inspired by questions from a woman who goes by the name of Grandma Someday whose daughter had an abortion 3 years ago and the same daughter is currently pregnant with an unplanned child she’s planning on aborting this coming weekend.
After her daughter’s first abortion a clairvoyant told Grandma Someday her daughter would become pregnant again with the same soul from her pregnancy 3 years before and that child will be a lot like Grandma. Grandma asks The Council if this information is correct because her daughter plans to abort this child, but Grandma appreciates her role is to support her daughter’s decision rather than tell her what to do.
The Council sees the spirit from the abortion 3 years ago is the same spirit Grandma’s daughter is currently pregnant with, but after the abortion this weekend The Council says this spirit won’t return to this lifetime with them. The Council adds the purpose of these two abortions was to help her daughter align her life and become more serious in the direction her life takes, and they say these abortions will fulfill that purpose.
The Council says the earlier clairvoyant was correct about the same soul coming to Grandma’s daughter in her first two pregnancies, but The Council sees a third pregnancy with a new soul that wants to live out this lifetime with the daughter and Grandma. The Council says if the daughter chooses to abort the third pregnancy, it was planned it would be her last pregnancy in this lifetime.
The Council says they’re very glad to hear the mother say she feels her role is to support her daughter’s decision in this lifetime because in a previous life she was a controlling mother of the same daughter, and the daughter ran away and didn’t return. In this lifetime the mother wanted to soften her heart, be supportive, and learn not to be controlling. And The Council applauds the mother for accomplishing this.

The Council Talks About Abortion
During a recent session The Council took the opportunity to speak in general about the subject of abortion because so many readers have asked about it. This post is devoted to that session. An audio recording of this session is included at the end of this post.
The Council notes that most questions on abortion center on the theme of feeling guilty and the need to feel forgiven. And they want everyone involved in making a decision about an abortion to understand that whatever their decision, whether to abort, or have the child and keep it or give it away, all the souls involved have agreed on this decision and there is nothing to feel guilty about.
They say this isn’t easy to understand when you are going through it because your experience in this lifetime is part of your personality and what you believe about it. But The Council suggests when you can begin to believe you are an eternal spirit in your physical body and the creator of all you experience, this difficulty becomes less burdensome.
The Council says whether you decide to abort a child or not, this is part of an agreement you made with the soul of this child to have this experience and your higher selves are very happy about whatever outcome you choose.
The Council hopes you will experience relief when you hear abortion isn’t a horrible thing and you haven’t killed a spirit or put an end to a life, because we are eternal. They say we come to this Earth reality for experiences that are emotional and physical, and they remind us to always look for the love in each experience. In the case of abortion, you giving love to a spirit that wanted to have this experience.
The Council briefly discusses the subject of giving birth to a child with disabilities, and how you are giving this child an opportunity to experience a life that it and you have chosen.
The Council finishes with a reminder it’s your privilege in every situation to find that you are spirit in your physical body, see others for who they are as spirit, and look for ways to show the love you are.

A Lesson in Forgiveness
This post is about a question from a reader named Tanya who asks The Council if she had a life lesson in self-forgiveness to learn from an abortion.
The Council says there’s a life lesson in just about everything we experience as challenging or where there’s a difficult decision to make. They agree Tanya’s abortion was a life lesson, and while abortion is often about learning self-forgiveness, in Tanya’s case it was more about learning to let go of a situation when the timing isn’t right, being okay with her decision, and learning that whatever she chooses is the right choice.
The Council asks Tanya if, rather than just focusing on forgiveness, if her abortions (The Council feels there were two) have taught her something about facing challenges after the abortion. And their advise is to see where she is in the moment and go with the decision that feels best to her.
The Council says post traumatic stress comes when you don’t quite know how to be okay with the decisions you’ve made. The more Tanya learns how to let let go and move on with her life, the more she’ll learn to accept herself and have more confidence in her choices. The Council also says as Tanya learns she’s a spirit in her physical body, she’ll become more okay with her decisions.
Bob asks if Tanya’s asking for forgiveness from the soul of the unborn child was for Tanya or the unborn child. And The Council says if she felt forgiven by this spirit it would help Tanya feel better and she could move on with her life.
When Bob commented it was his understanding from previous sessions that the soul of the unborn child was already forgiving, The Council agrees. But they add that Tanya wasn’t aware of this at that time. So she asked for and received this forgiveness.

Will I Have a Child?
This post is about questions from a 43-year-old reader named Sunshine who is single and has a strong desire to have her first child, but her attempts have been unsuccessful so far. She wants to know from The Council if this is possible and if she’s being punished for having two abortions 20 years earlier.
First The Council asks if Sunshine can be okay if she doesn’t become a mother. And they tell her there’s no outside source that’s punishing her for the abortions. She is entirely responsible for any sense of punishment or guilt she feels from this.
When Bob asks The Council if they think having a child is in the cards for Sunshine because they ask if she can be okay without having children, they reply that Sunshine creates what’s in the cards for her, no one else.
The Council asks Sunshine to remember that before coming into this reality she planned to go through these two abortions with the souls involved, and there was nothing disturbing about this to those spirits. They knew they’d be participating in the abortions for the experience and to help Sunshine, and everything went the way it was supposed to go.
The Council says many of the lessons we experience in this life, we plan before we get here. And there are spirits who agree to play their part in these lessons. When Sunshine is able to release any feeling of sadness or guilt or thinking of wrong-doing about these abortions, then she’ll be able to create a new child.
When Bob asks if adoption is an option for Sunshine if she continues to have difficulty getting pregnant, The Council says of course. But they quickly add that Sunshine can have a physical birth if she believes she’s the creator of her reality.
The Council says nothing is impossible if you really want it. Put yourself in the state of joy and happiness, and be grateful for each experience you come through that inspires you to want something even more. The Council says by knowing you can do this and by staying in the energy of joy and love, the creation of it becomes possible.
The Council says many people believe it becomes more difficult to get pregnant the older you get. But they remind us we are powerful spirits who can create anything we want in our lives. They tell Sunshine not to worry about her age and they tell her to work on forgiveness, happiness, gratitude, and moving forward in her life.
The Council sees it’s very, very possible for Sunshine to give birth to a child. And they remind the rest of us who want to create anything in our lives to find ways to feel grateful and happy for what we have. And they advise us to look forward, adding to that happiness, and move ahead with our mind and our feelings, always in the energy of love.

Should I Have An Abortion?
This post is about questions from a reader named S. who’s learned she’s pregnant. She loves children, always wanted them, and has been determined not to have her children suffer through poverty and unhappy circumstances the way she and her siblings did.
She left the father of the fetus the day before she learned she was pregnant because the relationship was an abusive one. S. says she’s currently in school and unemployed. Recently she was told by her doctor she has endometriosis and will have difficulty getting pregnant.
S. says she’s confused. She’s aware other spiritualists say it’s bad to abort a fetus unless it’s with a loving intention. She’d like her child to have a healthy mother and father, she knows this isn’t possible right now, and feels the need for a stable career.
Just days before she learned she was pregnant S. felt great comfort in her decision to leave her ex-boyfriend, and for the first time in her life was looking forward to loving herself and creating a whole person for a future partner and family.
S. wants to know why she’s pregnant now and if aborting this fetus has been the plan all along. She’s concerned about the karmic implications of abortion, and she’d prefer this soul return to her at a time when she can offer it a beautiful life with a beautiful father.
The Council begins by telling S. that leaving an abusive relationship is a giant step for her that shows self love. Having lived through a difficult time growing up, S. made the choice with love and wisdom not to repeat similar difficulties for her future children.
The Council is clear it’s not a bad choice to abort this pregnancy if that is S.’s choice; there’s no right or wrong. It was agreed before coming to this reality that this soul would come to her as a fetus and at that time S. would decide whether or not to have the child. The soul may choose to come back at a future time, but if it decides to move on there will always be another soul ready to come forward to help S. become a mother and go through the experiences she wishes to have.
If finishing school is the thought that makes S. feel best right now, The Council says this is the direction she should go in. If the thought of having this child now and somehow having a wonderful connection with this soul even if she’s on her own feels better, The Council advises to go with that. They remind her there isn’t any right or wrong and to pay attention to the way she feels when she thinks each thought. Follow the feeling of happiness, of love, of relief, and know that she’ll have lessons either way she chooses.
The Council advises S. there is much joy ahead whatever she chooses and by looking for this joy she’ll bring it into her reality. The key is to follow the better feeling thought.
Before S. chooses she should remind herself of the choice she’s already made to leave a bad relationship. The Council reminds her this is a wonderful decision she’s made. Somehow going through different experiences growing up helped S. make this choice. When she decides whether or not to have this child, all the knowledge and the feelings she’s experienced in her life up to this point will help her choose.

Abortion and Creation
This post is about The Council’s answer to an anonymous reader’s question about how many children she’ll have in this lifetime. She says she was told by someone she’d have one boy and one girl, but she recently had an abortion and is sad at the thought she aborted one of these children that she badly wants.
The Council begins by introducing the idea of pre-birth planning. This is the idea that as a spiritual being you plan various aspects of your physical life before you are born. They say the most important thing to understand is that as spirit you are creating your physical life. And after you come into this physical reality there continues to be a spiritual part of you that is still creating your life. And yet so many of us give away our creative power to others.
The Council asks A., who told her she’d have a boy and a girl and why does she assume they were correct when she, as a spiritual being, is the creator of her reality. Suppose she got pregnant again under circumstances that tell her she’s not ready for that child. Does that mean her chances for these two children she wants is over?
The Council says you are a powerful creative spirit in your physical body and you create what you want from your beliefs. And they say this abortion has come into her life at this time to let her learn about creation. And so if she has more abortions, is her desire for children strong enough that it doesn’t matter what anyone says if she wants to create these children in this lifetime?
The Council says everything you want is already created in vibration. And how you bring this vibration into your physical reality is by putting yourself in the highest vibration you can (love, happiness, joy). And without knowing how it will happen, imagine these children she wants in her life. Feel as if she already has it (because she already has it in spirit) and that will bring it into her physical reality.
The Council sees children in A.’s life. The question is will she create this? The Council says no one can do this for her, but she has the tools to make this happen. A.’s grief over loosing a child has brought her to the point where she can change her perception of her life and what she can create moving forward. The Council encourages A. to match the vibration of her desire for these children, to know she is the creator of her reality, and then this must come into her physical reality.
The Council asks A. to see the pattern in her life where someone came along and changed her mind about creating whatever it was that she desired. The issue of her abortion is part of a larger issue of creation and what she is capable of creating when she sticks with what she desires rather than give up her creative ability by believing what other people say.

Would My Pregnancy Miscarry if I Didn’t Abort?
This post is inspired by a comment from A. who describes her situation as similar to L in the post, “Should I Get Pregnant After My Abortion?” A. says she never expected to have an unplanned pregnancy because she was on birth control for 17 years. But she switched to a natural contraceptive for health reasons, got pregnant, and felt an abortion was her only choice. Her boyfriend didn’t want the child, and having it on her own would be difficult.
She wondered why this happened, and she asks The Council if her sense the pregnancy would miscarry if she didn’t abort was accurate. She couldn’t continue without the support of her partner, and decided with love to abort.
The Council says A.’s decision made with the feeling of love is the right way to go, and that a miscarriage down the road was not her plan. They see she got together with this partner and agreed spiritually to experience this pregnancy, and then experience making a decision on what to do about it independently.
Her partner played his part by not treating A. as lovingly as he did at first, and having her realize she’d be raising this child alone. Wanting to go through the experience of getting pregnant and not relying on another person’s opinion on what to do, A. went with her feeling of love and chose to abort.
In her past lives The Council says A. made a lot of decisions to please other people, or just take their advice. In this lifetime A. wants to become more independent. The pregnancy was planned by her, her partner, and the child (who would have come if A. chose to keep the baby), but knowing she’d have to raise the child alone she was courageous enough to abort.
The Council asks A. to look at the situation she’s gone through with her partner and see what can be learned in love through this. His situation was to have the courage to say he didn’t want to go forward with the pregnancy. If both were unable to fulfill what they wanted, the outcome would have been very different. Both experienced something they ultimately wanted, and The Council sees this as growth for them.

A Second Abortion
This post is inspired by a question from NZ about her second abortion. She says her first abortion was a long time ago, was for the right reasons, and she has peace with it. But when she got pregnant after giving birth to her two wonderful sons it was pure panic, fear, and like something took over and made the choice to abort for her.
She had the abortion to provide a stronger love for her two boys, her partner, and herself, but as soon as she made the decision to abort it she felt regret. NZ wants to know why she was so afraid of this child. The Council says it’s because of past lives and stories she’s heard, but she’s created this in her life so she can turn it around. They say if she can change her beliefs about being pregnant, think about having a healthy child, and move forward without the suffering and the fear from before, then she has accomplished what she’s set out to learn in this lifetime with this soul.

Abortion Insights
Ali’s questions
This post is inspired by 2 question from Ali who asks The Council for insight into a recent abortion.
Ali had an abortion in her 20’s that’s never troubled her. Now she has an amazing daughter. She found out she was pregnant again recently and had an abortion because she felt afraid and stuck and couldn’t see another way out.
Ali says she doesn’t understand why she experienced so much dread and misery around this pregnancy and once it was over she felt sadness, loss, and regret. In her response to a different post Ali says she believed indecision played a part in her abortion, and she wonders how a decision that felt so right before could feel so wrong after.
The Council says Ali had many choices how she’d handle her situation, but mainly she desired freedom and the abortion was how she accomplished this. They point out that indecision wasn’t a factor; Ali was quick to terminate the pregnancy. The feelings that came after are because she experienced a loss and they remind her that this is growth.

The Council
Cynthia is able to communicate with a group of five non-physical spirit guides in a manner similar to the way Esther Hicks communicates with and speaks for the spirit guides, Abraham, and Jane Roberts communicated and spoke for the spirit guide, Seth. I (Bob) basically interview The Council as they speak through Cynthia during what we refer to as a session. Sessions generally last 5-15 minutes and are usually audio recorded. During the session Cynthia is aware of what The Council is saying and she also receives visual impressions and other types of telepathic communication from them.
The Council’s Basic Guidance
Since we began these sessions with The Council around 2009 they consistently emphasize a few basic ideas that we attempt to summarize here:
1) You are an eternal spiritual being in a physical body.
You are the energy and vibration of continuously expanding love, intelligence, and joy.
Your physical experience in your physical body and your psychological experience of your personality is a small part of the totality of who you truly are.
Let yourself imagine from time to time what it might feel like to experience more of the wondrous totality of who you really are, and don’t be surprised if you are able to experience this more often.
2) You are the creator of all that you experience.
As you open to the possibility your true nature is greater than you ordinarily perceive, it becomes easier to consider the possibility that this expanded you is truly the creator of everything that you experience.

3) You are here to expand the love you are into physical reality.
You chose, as a spiritual being, to come into this physical reality to experience the joy of expanding the love you are as a spiritual being, into this physical reality. This is your purpose for being here.
Finding Your Way Around the Blog
Home Page
The left-hand column on the Home page contain a long chronological series of posts with the most recent on top. Each post begins with a title. Clicking on a post title will take you to a blog page dedicated to that particular post. Following each post is a Like button where you can indicate to us and other readers if you like the post.
The footer section of each post identifies the date the post was published, the Categories the post has been assigned to, the keyword/keyphrase Tags assigned to the post, and a Comment link. If readers comments on a post, the Comments link will indicate the number of comments. If a post has no comments yet, the Comment link text appears as “Leave a Comment”.
Clicking on the Comments link takes you to a Comment text box on a post page dedicated to that post. Here you can type a comment in the text box and click the Post Comment button to have your comment displayed just below the text box. If you are replying to someone else’s comment, your comment will appear indented underneath the comment you are replying to.
At the bottom of the left column on the Home page is a ‘Previous Entries’ link that will take you to a page with a list of earlier posts.
Blog Features
The right-hand column of most blog pages contains this Welcome message. Below the Welcome message in the right-hand column are some useful features:
Email Subscription: Use this to subscribe to blog posts. You will receive an email notification with a link back to the blog each time a new post is published.
Search: Type a keyword or phrase and click the Search button to get a list of posts in the left column that contain the keyword or phrase.
Archives: The Archives list indicates the number of posts for each month listed. Clicking on the link for a month will display in the left column of the page a list of the posts published that month.
Categories: This is a list of keywords used to categorize posts. Posts can be included in more than one category, if applicable. Clicking on a category link will display in the left column a list of posts assigned to the category you selected.
Navigation Bar
The Navigation Bar at the top of each page contains a link to the blog Home page and links to the following additional pages:
Welcome: A link that displays this Welcome message in the left column (and the right column). At the bottom of the Welcome message is a Comment box where you can post a general comment about the blog or ask The Council a question.
Questions & Answers: Use this link to display a list of introductions to our longer posts, most of which are responses to reader questions. This is an easy way to check out these more in-depth posts. They are listed in chronological order with the most recent post on top. Clicking on the post title will take you to the page where you can read the complete post.
Contact Us: The Contact Us page contains a contact form similar to the Comment form mentioned above. The difference between the Contact Us form and the Comment forms is that the Contact Us form is a private message to us (Cynthia and Bob). It is not posted on the blog. Comments appear on the post page where the comment is posted. The Contact Us form can be used for communicating with us about private sessions or other private matters you think aren’t appropriate for posting in a public Comment.
