What’s the Purpose of Chronic Pain?

The post answers a question for The Council about the purpose of chronic pain from a reader who goes by the name, InDespair. InDespair says they’ve suffered from cervical stenosis and fibromyalgia for about 10 years. They’ve been on the same medication for years, which they’ve now built up a tolerance to, and they’re in terrible pain every day. InDespair says they’re reluctant to speak to their doctor about the pain because they’re afraid the doctor will think they’re abusing their medication.

The Council asks why InDespair refuses to help them self by talking to their doctor. The pain is here as a lesson, but InDespair needs relief from medication before they can learn the lesson the pain is trying to teach. Fear is the reason they aren’t asking for this help. Reach out to your physician and explain your situation. When you receive medication that eases the pain, then you’ll be able to ask what lessons the pain has to teach you.

The reason for pain is that you aren’t allowing your life force to flow through you. When your life force isn’t allowed to flow freely through your body, pain is caused wherever you resist the life force. Focus on the areas of pain, acknowledge the pain, and know that it’s part of your current circumstances. You’ve brought this pain in to change your beliefs.

You create this pain to stop you from your every day living so you give this pain the time it needs to be experienced and to learn from it.

Find somewhere in your body where you aren’t experiencing pain, where there’s a feeling of wellness. Imagine this feeling of wellness spreading to the area where there’s pain and watch as this feeling of wellness grows throughout the body. As you believe you don’t need to experience pain, punishment, and guilt, your life force will flow throughout your body.

You bring pain into your life to change your beliefs and you grow spiritually as you begin to recognize you’re light, love, and joy. The Council asks you to take time every day and find parts of your body that feel well.

InDespair says they’ve never abused their medication, but for some reason they worry their doctor will assume the worst. The Council says to tune in to who you truly are as a spiritual being. You deserve your doctor’s help and you should ask for it. Don’t assume you’ll be labeled unkindly.

InDespair asks, “Why in the world would we choose chronic pain as a lesson, and how can I get past my fears?” The Council says we choose chronic pain to heal beliefs from past lives that we bring into this lifetime. We choose chronic pain for the purpose of changing these beliefs so we can grow from them. The pain will subside as you focus on the areas of well-being to help yourself.

One of the areas of pain is your neck, which is the back of your throat. Is there something you’re avoiding talking about? Do you keep opinions to yourself? Are you afraid to speak your truth? This will affect the throat chakra, which includes the back of the neck. Or have you said unkind things to people? This also will affect the neck area. Work on the neck chakra and all your chakras to get the energy flowing and allow your life force to move through you. If you do this you’ll begin to see a lessening of the pain.

The Council closes by stressing the importance of speaking with your physician about new medication. They also emphasize learning about the chakras and finding places in your body that feel well and doing visualizations that bring this well-being to the parts that hurt. Know you are an eternal spiritual being in your physical body. When you can do these things you’ll begin to experience relief.

Spiritual Purpose of Depression, Anxiety, and PTSD

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named Jhendi, about depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress disorder. First they ask if there’s a spiritual purpose for these issues.

The Council says there is always a spiritual reason for experiencing depression, anxiety, and PTSD and it is always pre-planned in spirit. Sometimes in spirit you decide to experience these and see how you can turn them around in your human life. Sometimes you volunteer to go through these to have the people around you learn compassion and patience from this experience. And sometimes it’s to start a group or organization that works to bring understanding and change to these issues.

Jhendi says if we’re supposed to learn from these issues, does taking medication affect our learning since we get through the issue with pills rather than working through the problems on our own. This is a very interesting question.

The Council says if you get relief from medication you can take it. When you’re in a happier state you’re able to work through your problems. Many people need some sort of therapy to talk to a professional about what they’re experiencing. The Council says not to take medication and assume it’s sufficient by itself. The medication will ease you enough to deal with what comes up for you and show you how to handle it.

The Council recommends always taking the time, even if it’s a couple minutes a day, to meditate. And when they say, meditate, they mean that all you have to do is ask for the vibration of love to come into your life and find two things every day to be grateful for.

Listen to our entire 3-minute session with The Council to hear all their guidance for Jhendi and the rest of us, and let us know how you feel about it.

Fear Inanimate Objects Feel Sadness Rather Than Love

This is an interesting post inspired by a question from a reader named Rob, who’s afraid inanimate objects have negative emotions. As an example Rob recently got rid of a possession he loved and he’s been distraught because he feels like he’s causing this object to suffer. He also feels bad for plates that don’t get used and food that doesn’t get bought. Rob adds he’s currently on medication for this problem.

The Council says it’s Rob’s beliefs and how he looks at things that determines how he feels about them. They say Rob has lived several lifetimes of abandonment and loneliness and in his current lifetime he projects these feelings onto objects around him.

The Council says every object has an energy and Rob taps into this energy, but with thoughts of sadness rather than the love that created these objects. There is no sadness in these objects. They don’t think and feel the way humans think and feel. As Rob sees objects that may be discarded and he feels they’re unwanted, remember it is he who feels unwanted from these other lifetimes he’s lived. The purpose of these objects is to be helpful and loving.

One of Rob’s goals in this lifetime is to remember the joy of these objects and that they are here to serve and bring love. The Council says it’s how Rob perceives these objects that matters and they suggest looking for the joy and the love in them rather than the sadness.

For now The Council feels the medication Rob is taking can be helpful, but if he has the discipline to work with what they recommend, his feelings and understanding will change, he’ll tap into the vibration of joy and love, and the medication won’t be necessary any longer.

The Council says it’s a wonderful path Rob is on where he’s so open to thoughts and feelings for objects around him and he cares about them. But the caring shouldn’t be one of sadness, it should be one of joy and wonder that the object is doing it’s job or has completed it’s job and now is free to go on to another job. Everything around Rob is working to bring love and beauty to his eyes and make him smile. As he begins to look at the world this way he’ll start to feel better.

Listen to this very interesting 14-minute session with The Council (below) to hear all their guidance for Rob and the rest of us, and let us know what you think.
