Ask The Council

What will you ask Spirit?

Why Does My Life Keep Getting Stuck in the Same Place?

This post is inspired by a question from a reader named Marie, who asks The Council why she often gets stuck in her life. Marie’s 36-years old and has a master’s degree, but she’s unable to find work in her area of study and doesn’t seem able to hold a job for long. Her parents give her money and she says she works like a housewife for them. Marie also says she’s only had one romantic relationship that lasted a couple months, and says she was devastated when it ended.

The Council asks Marie about believing she can have more than she’s currently experiencing. They ask what she would like to do, and suggest she  start doing it as a hobby or a volunteer. Begin to break the pattern of feeling stuck in her life. There’s a belief she doesn’t deserve to experience more than what she already has. And The Council says this is the reason she hasn’t had another relationship, and why she moves forward and then back.

The Council suggests Marie connect with spirit and learn who she truly is by reading the book, Emmanuel, by Pat Rodegast. Nothing is happening in her life that isn’t pushing her forward in the direction she wishes to go.

The Council sees much more for Marie in her life. When she’s ready they see she’ll move to a place of her choice. And this will be a gigantic leap for her that will bring up fear, but they say this is exactly the reason she’s supposed to do this. And she should begin slowly.

The Council suggests Marie accept thoughts of being stuck, but then to find better feeling thoughts and move on from there. Rather than focusing on why she’s stuck they suggest she look how she can change her life when she’s ready. First connect with Emmanuel and then find out what she desires? Where does she want to live? What would she like to experience? What kind of job would she like? What kind of relationship? The Council suggests going into detail about how she’d like her life to change in order to get rid of that stuck feeling.

The Council advises Marie she’s chosen to be in this reality to learn to love it and move it in the direction she desires. As she begins to overcome her fears and tunes into the feeling of who she truly is as a spiritual being in a physical body, she’ll begin to feel the vibration from spirit that will support her dreams and she’ll fulfill many of them.

Listen to the recording of our session with The Council on Marie’s question (below) to get the full benefit of their guidance for her and the rest of us, and let us know what you think.

Getting Rid of Depression After An Abortion

This post is inspired by questions for The Council from a reader named Sarah, who had an abortion about a year earlier and feels it left her clinically depressed. She’s scared she’ll have depression for the rest of her life, but she’s not comfortable taking anti-depressants.

The Council starts by saying we experience depression when we’re not connected to who we truly are as spiritual beings, and they suggest meditating on this and focusing less on something being wrong with Sarah’s brain. And they add that as spiritual beings we understand we are here to find the joy in our experience, and because Sarah is so unhappy, this depression is pushing her to search for something more.

The Council recommends books and videos that teach how we plan our lifetimes as spiritual beings and they specifically suggest reading books by Robert Schwartz. And they say depression comes because Sarah doesn’t appreciate what she’s created for herself and the spirit she aborted. Many think of abortion as an ending of a life, but The Council says it’s a beginning because this soul is now free to have other experiences, including returning to Sarah in a future pregnancy.

The Council says Sarah had a spiritual contract with this aborted soul who wanted to experience what it was like to be part of an aborted pregnancy. This soul was not interested in experiencing a full term pregnancy but if Sarah wishes to move forward, this soul can return to her in a future pregnancy. And The Council says these two souls will have a closer bond because they experienced this abortion together.

The Council emphasizes there isn’t any need for Sarah to feel depressed about this abortion because everything went according to the way the two souls planned this, and there is great love between these two spirits, and great love in deciding what path to take next.

The Council encourages Sarah to look for books that connect her to spirit and past lives, and they recommend the books of Emmanuel by Pat Rodegast. They also encourage Sarah to do whatever it takes to get into the vibration of love and joy, and from this vibration she’ll be able to create her future the way she wants it to be.

The Council says this aborted soul has continually been sending Sarah love from the moment this abortion was planned in spirit and there is still a stream of love flowing from this soul to Sarah, helping her to get through this depression. The more Sarah is able to let this love in, the less she’ll need to concern herself with a relapse of depression.

The Council closes with a recommendation to look for little moments of love and joy from her spirit and the spirit of her aborted child to move her forward in this lifetime.

Listen to our entire 13-minute conversation  with The Council (below) to experience their full guidance for Sarah and the rest of us.

Challenges, Suicide, and Spiritual Growth

This post is inspired by a reader named Cait, who says she thinks about ending her life every day because it’s so painful, and she asks The Council if she’s able to break a pre-birth contract she made in spirit once her incarnation has begun.

Cait begins by asking The Council, what if the path your soul chose to achieve spiritual growth actually inhibits your spiritual growth? And The Council says this is never the case. They say your spirit works out whatever challenges it wants to meet while it’s in the physical body, and while this can seem difficult from a human point of view, your spirit knows exactly why it has chosen what it has chosen and what it is trying to accomplish.

The Council says when you begin to accept you are spirit in a physical body and believe you can learn with less difficulty, and can focus on the way you wish your life to be rather than the way it is, this is the beginning of change. You always have the power to turn your situation around. When you plan in spirit whatever you want to experience, it isn’t written in stone. You create every minute of every day, and so you can create something new.

Cait says she thinks about ending her life every day, and while The Council says there is no judgement in spirit for taking her life, they explain there’s growth she can experience from going through these challenges. And if she chooses to pass on these challenges in this lifetime she’ll be postponing them until she chooses to learn from them in a future lifetime.

Cait comments that her life is harmful to her soul, and The Council replies that her soul will never create circumstances that will harm her spiritually. It creates these situations for her to grow from them, to change them, and to bring love into them.

Cait asks how she can get out of her current challenge without killing herself and The Council advises her to refocus her attention and read as many books as possible on spiritual growth that can teach her who she is as a spiritual being.

Cait finishes her comment by saying her higher self doesn’t appear to care about her or her suffering. And The Council says Cait has no idea the love, caring, and support that spirit has for her if she’ll open up to it, even if she only pretends to feel it at first.

The Council recommends Cait read a book written by the spirit guide, Emmanuel and Pat Rodegast, and the energy from this book will help her turn her life around.

The Council tells Cait she’s come to this feeling of desperation and wanting out on purpose to experience an extreme situation so she can find a better way through this. And The Council says she will find it.

Listen to the entire 11-minute recording of our session with The Council to hear first hand all their guidance for Cait and anyone else who’s having difficulty navigating their current circumstances and is looking for a better way to experience them.

What Do My Soul, Heart, and Ego Need?

This post is inspired by a brief, but powerful question from Margaret, who asks: What do my soul, heart, and ego need? It’s a short question, but The Council’s answer is full of insight that applies to many, if not all of us.

The first thing The Council reminds us is that it’s good to realize we are spirit in a physical body, and that we are here to bring love into all situations we experience. This was our main purpose for coming here and they go on to say there isn’t anyone here who doesn’t have a spirit with them to guide them.

The Council says we’ve chosen our challenging situations because we want the experience of turning them around by looking at them with the love we are, and experiencing them differently.

They remind us our most powerful tool is choice. Every day in every situation you have the choice how you’ll handle these circumstances, and how you’ll move through every experience.

When I (Bob) point out their guidance for Margaret seems a little general, The Council says their guidance is what Margaret needs to know at this particular time, and it’s specific to her needs.

They suggest she read many of the spiritual books available and they mention by name those written by the spirit guide, Emmanuel. They close by reminding Margaret she is loved, and she has The Council’s support and blessing.

Listen to the entire 4-minute session to receive it’s full meaning and let us know what you think.
