Understanding Clairaudience: Overcoming Fear and Connecting with Spirit
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named Wanderer.
Wanderer: Hello, Bob, Cynthia, and The Council. I have been hearing and feeling vibrations, or ringing in my right ear. It’s very prominent. I get scared sometimes because of it. I have a feeling it’s related to clairaudience ability. Can The Council please guide me on how to get rid of fear and connect to spirit and my higher self when this happens?
Council: We would ask here, if you believe this has to do with clairaudience, then you are working with spirit to help you develop this. And this is a simple question, but have you ever sat down and talked to this spirit, the one or several that could be helping you, and saying, “This is upsetting me. Can we do it another way? I don’t understand. And I want to learn, and I’m open to learning how to be clairaudient, but I find that this noise that I hear, and not knowing how to move forward being comfortable, is upsetting me. Show me another way.”
When you speak to your spirits, they hear you. They will do what they have to do to teach you, to give you the information you need. And they will find other ways to show you, because they want to bring you along that path. How wonderful is that? That’s how much control you have over this. So many don’t know, “Oh, this is going on. I don’t get it. I don’t understand. My third eye is opening. Oh, it’s closing. I’m hearing this. I’m not hearing. My throat hurts. I find myself saying ridiculous words.”
Just say, “Okay. Well I know something’s going on here, and I agree to go along with it, and I wanted to learn how to be psychic, or clairaudient, but this is not working for me.” And we can tell you that when Cynthia did this in the beginning, she was working at a day job, and she would be up all night long getting taught different things about past lives, about past situations that changed the form of the Earth reality. It was lessons, and lessons, and lessons. And then one time she got up, and she was so tired she said, “I can’t do this. You want me to do this, then you have to find a better way. I need to sleep. And almost immediately, it changed. And so we say, everyone speak to your guides. They are here, and they cannot help until you ask for it. Tell them what works, and what’s not working.
Wanderer: I want to understand the process of developing my clairaudient ability and getting rid of the fear. I also had an experience of being able to hear someone’s thoughts so clearly, as if they were talking. This could mean developing telepathy. Currently I am not able to control these abilities, but I would like to develop it, and expand on it, and possibly help those around me and the spirit world.
Council: Meditate every day, even if it’s for ten minutes. You must meditate. It is then that you connect more closely to your guides. We would say to read books on telepathy. Read how-to books that teach you how to be clairaudient, what to do, and how to learn automatic writing. There are so many ways how to learn to use the energy to heal yourself, to heal others. But read about this. Get a background about this, and then you will begin to understand, and you will hear other people’s stories about sometimes how crazy it was, and all of a sudden it falls into place.
There is no need for fear. There is nothing that comes from spirit that is going to hurt you. Just meditate. Surround yourself with white light before you go to bed, first thing when you wake up, and know you are protected. And just knowing that will bring you all the help that you need.
And who knows? Maybe tonight you’ll dream of us. And of course we have to add, you can see us every night, you can talk to us every night, you can dream of us, but that doesn’t mean you’re going to remember. But what we teach you, what you need to know, is within you. And when you need that information, you will remember.

If I Go To This Man I Disconnected With, Will He Be Open To Something With Me?

Anonymous: Thank you. This man and I disconnected, but if I go find him and talk to him, will he still be open to something with me? I think about him sometimes. It’s like an unfulfilled desire for me because I dreamed about it for a while. We told each other feelings, but nothing ever happened, so I’m so scared to go find him and talk to him.
Council: How would you feel if you went to find this person and there was nothing more that was wanted?
And so we say, asking yourself, “Should you find this person?” There is no “should”. There is no “Yes” or “No”. And what you expect to happen, or what you would like to happen, are you doing the work now? Are you seeing it the way you want it to be?
The fear that comes up, the doubts it would bring that nothing would happen, are always there to show you that these are the doubts that come when you are in a physical reality. And what you want to do when you are here is always to work through those doubts to find out who you are, to find out what to create, what you want to create, and how to create it.
So we would say, planning this in your head, be very sure of what you want. And what we have taught before is to see this happening. It is the thought that goes out into the universe, then pretend you already have it, and feel it, and that is the magnet that will bring what you want to you.
But now in your reality comes a time that what everyone who is here in this reality wanted, and it was to find an easy way to create, and to learn about this thing called feelings. Feelings are the emotions inside when you think of something, or when you see something. And so the step you want to take now is not so much seeing it, or not so much thinking about it. Of course that’s part of it, but it’s to really get into the feeling.
And what is going on is preparing you for life in the future, and the future realities for everybody to feel things. To have contact with someone when you are nowhere near them, because you can feel the response you get. They could feel what you are feeling and what you are thinking. It is a form of telepathy, which we will go back to, in time.
We would say, now the important thing is to feel. Every time you think of something you want, feel it. Forget the words. Feel it like you already have it. And that will bring to you what you want faster than if you collected pictures of it, wrote letters about it, or put it in a diary. Feel it.
So that is what you need to do now if this is something you want. You are coming from a point now that you can go and find this person, and then you could be very disappointed. Forget that. If you want it, feel it. Start with little things that happen to you on a daily basis. Feel something small that goes on that you want. Take a look at something you fear and feel it as if you no longer fear it. Play with the feeling.
Now we would say at this point you want to know, will this person want the same thing as you? If you feel it, if you pretend it is happening, it will come out that way. So the main thing is to try to get past the fear and really sit down and have time with the idea that you are having a whole life with this person. Anything that you want. And feel it. Feel it, feel it. The response you get would be more like the ones that you would like, instead of, suppose this person does not respond the way you care for.
And so going forward we would say, feel it and see how quickly it can come to you what it is that you want. But always be aware that the way you feel can change because it’s not what your higher self is pushing you to. The higher self of everyone at this point wants you to feel every single thing that happens in your life. And that’s how you go about this.
Anonymous: I’m so scared to go find him and talk to him. And this is how it was when I confessed my feelings, too. It almost felt like I was forcing it because it was so hard to do, but the feelings are there.
Council: But when you do something, and you do it with fear, and you do something that you feel you are forcing because you want it, it will have a negative effect, and that is all from fear.
Anonymous: So maybe I’m forcing something that won’t work out, and need to give up the thought of him, or the thought of us being something one day.
Council: You never give up your dream or your desire, but you work on it differently now.
And we send you love, and to remind you to have fun on your journey. That’s what your purpose is for. You want to come in and just mix it up and have a good time. And everyone can get there.

Spiritual Insight Into People We Consider Autistic
This post answers questions from a long-time reader named, Jan, who say that in her many years observing people on the autistic spectrum she’s noticed the following:
- Sudden disorientation and panic for no reason
- Sudden personality changes
- Moving from very outgoing and friendly to insular for periods ranging from a few days to many months
- Memory lapses is some areas, but highly detailed memory in other events
- Extreme desire for anything predictable and and unchanging, which seems to comfort them
- Levels of psychic ability beyond that of most other people
The Council say this different way of living that most of us call autistic is chosen by the spirit and the main reason is to teach the people around them. You’ll notice they live their lives very differently. What do you do to understand this difference? Do you accept how they are? Do you try to communicate with them in ways they’re trying to teach you?
When an autistic spectrum person goes into panic or withdraws it’s because they exist in several realities at the same time. Although all of us experience many different realities at the same time, we’re not usually aware of it except maybe in a dream or a meditation. A spirit that chooses to experience autism allows themself to be in more than one reality and to know it and remember it.
Sometimes these people jump from one reality to another and this can be frightening to them because their world can change in a moment. These souls require lots of patience and love and it’s your role to supply this. Understand that these people may not be present in your reality right now and at these times it’s not a good idea to touch them and try to bring them back into your reality. They’re experiencing something in another reality and can come back to this reality when they’re ready.
This type of behavior is confusing for most people who see it, but aren’t able to understand it. And it’s very challenging for the spirit that’s going through this experience. They’re mainly trying to teach people who just experience one reality that there’s more than one reality going on and how to look at it. Ask yourself what’s going on for this person? How can I communicate with this person when they’re experiencing this? How can I let them know they’re safe, even if they must jump from one reality to another?
The Council says the sudden personality changes in these people are caused by them experiencing these different realities, but their physical body is still here and it can take on the personality of what that spirit is focusing on in another reality. When an autistic spectrum person is in your reality, whatever you can do to help them see and feel familiar things will help them.
Jan says many years ago The Council suggested to her that when a close autistic spectrum friend of hers becomes uncommunicative for a while, she’d be able to communicate with him telepathically. She’s been doing this, but as they communicate there are often inconsistencies between his experience and memory of events and hers. The Council says when you try to communicate telepathically with this spirit, it’s felt in whatever reality he’s experiencing in that moment and that’s the reason for these inconsistencies.
Jan asked her own spirit guides for guidance on her autistic spectrum friend’s situation and was given information similar to what The Council has described, but Jan says she has difficulty understanding this guidance or even believing it, although she says it does offer an explanation for much of his behavior.
The Council advises Jan to learn a little more about the realities her friend experiences when he’s back in their shared reality. Ask him in a non-threatening way what’s been happening in his life lately. See what he says and don’t think it’s crazy or it doesn’t make sense. In this way you can learn about where he goes and what he’s experiencing. It was part of your purpose to learn there is more to life than the reality you experience. You’re also here to learn about other realities.

What Past Life is Affecting My Current Life, and Why?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Darla, who had a past life regression where she was a child who was physically unable to walk. She asks what past life is affecting my current life, and why is it affecting it? The Council says when Darla tuned into the past life where she was unable to walk, there were also lessons of abandonment in that lifetime.
The Council asks Darla when she sees people in her current life who have disabilities, how does that make her feel? If you have a disagreeable feeling, how are you able to change that feeling to a better feeling one? What thoughts can you have that will help with this change? If it’s an uncomfortable feeling like fear, what feeling do you reach for in instead? Are there feelings of love and caring in your life? Do you do things to help other people whether they are disabled or not?
The Council says when Darla lived in the constellation Pleiades in a past life she helped others telepathically in other star systems. In your current life your path is a wish to help others.
