Ask The Council

What will you ask Spirit?

Will Ex-Boyfriend Realize Impact of his Actions and Express Acknowledgement?

This post is inspired by questions from a reader who calls herself LookingForTheOne, who says her ex-boyfriend left her a while back, but the pain she experiences from the break up never left her. And The Council replies that they are almost sure the pain of the break up is what she’s focusing on and as her thoughts stay on this pain, she can expect to remain in the feeling of it.

The Council advises her to focus instead on the joy in this relationship that she’d like in her next relationship. They say she pre-planned in spirit to be in this relationship for a reason, that she will meet the spirit of her ex-boyfriend in another lifetime, and this soul isn’t lost to her forever. They advise her to find a way to be grateful this particular person was in her life for a while. And they say both of them chose as spirits to be together in this lifetime to learn about love.

In response to LookingForTheOne’s statement that she believes she and her ex-boyfriend are soulmates and they could have made it together until the end of this lifetime, The Council says we are all soulmates. And they add that as a spirit she didn’t want to be partners with her ex-boyfriend for the rest of her life. The Council says they came together to learn what was wanted and what was not wanted in terms of love in this relationship.

When LookingForTheOne asks if her ex-boyfriend will ever realize the impact his choices made on others and show any acknowledgement, The Council says it’s a possibility, but nothing is definite and they recommend she allow him to be who he is. They add that allowing is a form of love.

When LookingForTheOne asks about past lives she and her ex-boyfriend shared together, The Council says they feel focusing on the past isn’t that helpful and will tend to keep her focused this relationship. And then The Council goes on to say they had a relationship in another lifetime where they were together, went through many hardships, and were supportive of each other. They had loving relationships in other lifetimes, including one where they were father and daughter.

The Council says in each past life relationship they tried to find the love and express it in the reality they were living in at that time. They created challenges and happy moments and their current lifetime is an extension of those lifetimes where the two of them work together to learn something else.

The Council asks if one of them was brave enough in spirit to be mean and cause hurtful feelings in their human reality so they could both learn from this. The Council emphasizes it’s a very loving spirit that would do that if it’s what you desire to learn. And they add it’s a challenging path to be on. You were hurt; can you still love yourself enough to realize this isn’t what you want and create a different path for yourself.

The Council says there was a lifetime in the early 1800s where LookingForTheOne worked as a dance hall girl in a saloon. Her ex-boyfriend was one of her patrons in that lifetime and loved her very much, but she never returned this love and walked away from that relationship, and it was hard for him in that lifetime.

In their current lifetime The Council asks if they wanted to experience the other side of the coin? Did her ex-boyfriend walk away from their relationship in this lifetime? The Council says you helped each other experience these unfortunate situations so you can find love in them, no matter what, and that is bringing the vibration of love into this reality.

LookingForTheOne asks if they were married in a past life and whether her ex-boyfriend was really in love with her like he said he was in this life, or if he was lying to her. And The Council says her ex-boyfriend had the love for her in this lifetime and in other lifetimes also.

What Are Soul Mates and Soul Families?

This post is inspired by questions from a reader named Darla, who asks The Council about soul mates and soul families. Also Darla was told by a psychic that her mother in this lifetime was her mother-in-law in another lifetime, and her husband was her daughter in another lifetime, and she asks for any information about this.

The Council says they love questions about soul mates. So many humans are searching for their soul mate, but what they want us to know is that we have many soul mates. In some lives a soul mate can be a good friend, or a strong teacher, or your child. A soul mate isn’t necessarily just the romantic partner that many people are looking for. In a certain respect we are all soul mates to each other.

The Council says we have soul groups or soul families. People you find you’re at ease with are usually someone you’ve traveled with before and are in your soul group. Some groups are small, about 9 or 10 souls, and some groups are larger, containing perhaps 100 souls. We constantly travel with these groups, and yet we have the ability to change groups a lifetime at a time.

The Council does see that Darla’s mother was her mother-in-law at a time when they lived on a farm as America Indians. And her husband in this life was her daughter in a life where her daughter was an opera singer in Italy. The Council asks Darla if her husband has singing ability or is interested in music in this lifetime.

Listen to our short, but information-filled, 5-minute session with The Council (below) to receive all their guidance on soul mates and soul groups, and let us know what you think.

Love, Creation, and Spiritual Pre-Planning

Sarah’s Questions

This post answers several questions from a reader named Sarah who’s 23 years old and relatively new to thinking about her spirituality. She begins her questions by asking The Council for some general clarity on the nature of things and her path to intimate love.

Sarah explains how her deeper appreciation for self-love and love in general has caused her to question the meaning of twin flames and soul mates, and whether she can create them in her life.  And she describes a very close male friend who seems meant to be something important to her, but she doesn’t feel that drawn to him as a boyfriend.

Sarah asks if this young man is her twin flame or soul mate because she wants to know if she should try and create these in her life, or sit back because he’s the one. She asks how much of her situation is pre-determined spiritually and how much she controls as a human being?

The Council’s Answers

The Council starts by commenting it’s wonderful Sarah understands the importance of loving and appreciating herself rather than projecting her love onto someone else so she can feel it.

The Council addresses the question of twin flames, sometimes referred to as twin souls. After a little background which you can hear in the recording below, The Council  asks if we realize we’re all the same soul, all connected, and part of the One. And they ask if that doesn’t make us all twin souls?

The Council says many people are looking for their soul mate because they believe it will be the perfect relationship, but they don’t seem to agree. They say soul mates don’t just come along in a love relationship or partnership. They can be cousins, friends, acquaintances, and they usually push you to grow and force you to a higher level of understanding, whether it’s through positive experiences or negative ones.

In response to Sarah’s question about whether she’s able to create a twin flame or soul mates in her life, The Council says she can create either or both. The Council is firm that you as a spiritual being are in charge of your life experience.

There’s some interesting discussion about the ways your spirit pre-plans what happens in your physical reality.

With regard to Sarah’s male friend, The Council advises appreciating the connection they share, and know she doesn’t have to feel drawn to him romantically. He’s in her life for whatever experiences, fun, and challenges they go through together. But as far as a love relationship is concerned, she is able to create something else if she wants.

In response to her question about whether he is a twin flame or soul mate, The Council says because they’ve shared many lifetimes together, yes he can be a twin soul and yes he can be a soul mate. But they add that we are all those things to each other.

Listen to the entire 19-minute session below for details of The Council’s answer to Sarah’s question.
