Meditations to Balance and Align Your Chakras

This post is a follow-up to our previous post which answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Jaden. In the session we did with The Council to answer Jaden’s questions, The Council recommended we provide Jaden with some of their techniques for balancing and aligning his Throat Chakra, Third Eye Chakra, and Crown Chakra, which are traditionally the top three energy centers within our physical body. In this post we provide techniques for the balancing and alignment of each of the seven chakras, or energy centers, which are located in the body between the groin and the top of the head. Following the text below we’ve included an audio recording of these techniques for readers who desire this. Please let us know if you enjoy working with these techniques.

First Chakra

To balance and align your first chakra, which is located at the base of your spine or groin area, imagine a clear box in front of you. Now imagine filling this clear box with the color red. When you’re ready, with a single breath, breathe the red color out of this box and in through your nose, then down to the base of your spine, up to the top of your head, out through your mouth, back into the box, and then breathe normally. Imagine the red color leaving the box so the box is clear again, and then imagine the clear box disappearing. Your first chakra should now be aligned and balanced.

Second Chakra

To balance and align your second chakra, which is located two inches below your navel along your spine, imagine a clear pyramid, but without its top or cap stone. Now imagine filling this clear pyramid with the color orange. When you’re ready, with a single breath, breathe the orange color out of this pyramid and in through your nose, then down to the base of your spine, up to the top of your head, out through your mouth, back into the pyramid, and then breathe normally. Imagine the orange color leaving the pyramid so the pyramid is clear again, and then watch the clear pyramid disappear. Your second chakra should now be aligned and balanced.

Third Chakra

To balance and align your third chakra, which is located just beneath your breast bone along your spine, imagine a 3D image of a clear plus sign in front of you. Now imagine filling this clear plus sign with the color yellow. When you’re ready, with a single breath, breathe the yellow color out of this plus sign and in through your nose, then down to the base of your spine, up to the top of your head, out through your mouth, back into the plus sign, and then breathe normally. Imagine the yellow color leaving the plus sign so the plus sign is clear again, and then imagine the clear plus sign disappearing. Your third chakra should now be aligned and balanced.

Fourth Chakra

To balance and align your fourth chakra, which is located at the level of your heart along your spine, imagine a clear circle in front of you. Now imagine filling this clear circle with the color green. When you’re ready, with a single breath, breathe the green color out of this circle and in through your nose, then down to the base of your spine, up to the top of your head, out through your mouth, back into the circle, and then breathe normally. Imagine the green color leaving the circle so that the circle is clear again, and then imagine the clear circle disappearing. Your fourth chakra should now be aligned and balanced.

Fifth Chakra

To balance and align your fifth chakra, which is located in the middle of the throat, imagine in front of you a clear chalice or wine glass with a long stem and a cross located in the stem. Now imagine filling this clear chalice with the color sky blue. When you’re ready, with a single breath, breathe the sky blue color out of this chalice and in through your nose, then down to the base of your spine, up to the top of your head, out through your mouth, back into the chalice, and then breathe normally. Imagine the sky blue color leaving the chalice so the chalice is clear again, and then imagine the clear chalice disappearing. Your fifth chakra should now be aligned and balanced.

Sixth Chakra

To balance and align your sixth chakra, which is located between your eyes and slightly above your eyebrows, imagine a clear Star of David in front of you. Now imagine filling this Star of David with the color Indigo or dark blue. When you’re ready, with a single breath, breathe the indigo color out of this Star and in through your nose, then down to the base of your spine, up to the top of your head, out through your mouth, back into the Star, and then breathe normally. Imagine the indigo color leaving the Star of David so that the Star is clear again, and then imagine the clear Star of David disappearing. Your sixth chakra should now be aligned and balanced.

Seventh Chakra

To balance and align your seventh chakra, which is located at the top of the head, imagine a clear lotus flower in front of you. Now imagine filling this lotus flower with the color purple. When you’re ready, with a single breath, breathe the purple color out of this lotus flower and in through your nose, then down to the base of your spine, up to the top of your head, out through your mouth, back into the lotus flower, and then breathe normally. Imagine the purple color leaving the lotus flower so that it’s clear again, and then imagine the clear lotus flower disappearing. Your seventh chakra should now be aligned and balanced.

Closing

Use these techniques whenever you feel sick, tired, drained, or your energy doesn’t feel right. You should not use these techniques daily. As you learn more about each chakra and you feel that one or more of them isn’t properly aligned, you can use the techniques just for the chakra that needs realignment.

Question About Past Lives, Mental Issues, and a Future Life

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Jaden, who asks for insight into his past lives, how they’re affecting his current life, and why he chose his current life?

The Council says Jaden agreed to live his current life for the fun of it, to take different lessons and change them for the better, to help the people around him, and to find a way to bring the love from spirit into his current life. Your current life isn’t about past lives. It’s about working with souls you know from other lifetimes to see where you are in relationship to them and to be aware of what you want that they’ve accomplished. They’d be like a teacher to you and open your eyes to things you can create in your life. There are others that will come into your life and you’ll see things you don’t want, and then it’s your choice to pull away from that.

You planned to meet people that would show you a better way to live your life. You wanted to choose spirits, learn where they’re at, and then claim what you wanted for yourself. This whole lifetime you’ll hopefully be meeting people, looking at how they are, what they’ve accomplished, where they are spiritually, determining if their thoughts are positive or negative, and taking what is positive from each person and add it to your life.

In your current life you have a free pass to choose your direction as you move forward. This is a ‘choose as you go’ life. There wasn’t some specific lesson you wanted to learn, change, or heal from a past life. You wanted to move forward and work with spirits that show up. Will you help them? Will they help you? Will they give you ideas about what you want and don’t want?

Jaden asks for suggestions about mental issues he’s going through. The Council says unclear thinking and trust are some mental issues you’re going through. There are emotions that set you off and can bring up a manic or a depressing response. This is from thoughts of lack or abundance you see around you. Find daily things to have gratitude for, even when things don’t go your way, and your mental issues will calm down and you’ll feel better.

The Council says your throat, third eye, and crown chakra need work and they ask Bob to provide their meditation techniques for healing them, which is done in the next post. Healing your throat will help you express yourself better and find creative things that make you happy. Healing your third eye will bring you clarity and help you see and hear things differently. Healing your crown chakra will open you to the energy of your higher self, of your guides, and get you more in touch with your purpose in this lifetime.

Jaden asks The Council for insight into his next life and The Council says that is entirely up to you. At the end of your current life you’ll decide what you want to build into your next life, the spirits you want with you, and the lessons you want to go through. The Council says it’s perfectly proper to think about what you’d like your next lifetime to be like. Nothing is written in stone. You create as you go.

The Council suggests Jaden be in the present, learn from the people around him, and he’ll begin to see things differently. If you stay on the path you’re on, things in your life will begin to change. And you’ll also change the future lives you create for yourself.

Jaden asks The Council where his next life will be because there’s a particular country he has in mind. The Council says at the end of this life when you go back to spirit and you’re ready to create another life, who you are in your current life goes with you back into spirit. All the knowledge, wisdom, and experiences are there and from this knowledge you choose when to go on, how to go on, where to go on, and who to go on with.

What’s Interfering with the Forward Movement in My Life?

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Fuschia, who says she’s been unable to succeed in most areas of her life for the last six years or more. She’s lost relationships, financial security, jobs, excitement for life, and her health has become affected lately. This inability to manifest what she desires has resulted in depression and confusion about her life.

The Council says all the things Fuschia feels she’s lost are a continuation from lessons in other lifetimes. Her soul purpose in this lifetime, and it’s a brave one, is to work on the issue of hopelessness.

In other lifetimes you were in service to a Japanese family, a slave in Egypt in one life and a taskmaster in another, you were in hiding during the French Revolution, and again a slave in the early 1900’s. In these lifetimes you experienced the people around you losing themselves in depression, giving up, and dying. At first you didn’t understand what caused these people to give up. In many of these other lives you had no choice what you could do because you were a slave or like a slave and in these roles you also began to lose hope. You also experienced sickness and depression because you couldn’t see a way to get better.

In your current lifetime you wanted to work on everything that made you feel hopeless in your other lifetimes. Consequently you planned to experience some of this hopelessness so you could find a way to let go of it and find your way to live a life of hope. What’s needed now is to be in your present and work on your thoughts. This will change what you see and feel, and it will change what you create in your life.

When an idea comes to you about trying a different doctor, or trying a different job that maybe you don’t feel qualified for, or if someone helps you with an existing or new relationship, you need to have hope these situations will change. See your situation differently. Your plan was to work on hopelessness, to feel it, and then to change it to something better feeling. Plan the action you’d take to make these changes happen.

The inner work is important, but you must take this further because in your other lifetimes you weren’t in situations where you were able to take actions. As a slave working on the pyramids you couldn’t decide you didn’t want to do this work and get another job, but you can in your current lifetime. In your current lifetime it’s important to take action.

You didn’t have the freedom in your other lifetimes to change your actions and make your life better. It was an experience of hopelessness. And now you’ve chosen to bring several of these lifetimes in to experience the hopelessness and then think about how you can change these situations to make them better. But before you can change these situations it’s important to realize you’re a spirit that goes from lifetime to lifetime and you’re on this path in order to grow and heal. Your#1 lesson is to imagine what it’s like to be a powerful spirit that has the choice of how you’ll live in this life. That is your lesson for this lifetime.

Fuschia asks The Council if there are past life issues that are interfering with her forward movement? And The Council replies that these issues aren’t interfering. They are what she’s chosen to bring in and work on in this particular lifetime. It is to heal and become whole in your thoughts and feelings, and find a way to become, in your physical body, the spirit you truly are.

The Council asks Fuschia to remember that the issues she’s currently experiencing are coming from past lives and she’s chosen to bring these issues forward. And there was the knowing, in spirit, that these issues can be changed for the better. When you feel like there’s no answer and hopeless, remember you’re spirit and this was your choice to grow and heal all of this so you don’t have to experience it again. Find the hope, and then take the action and improve this lifetime.

I Have Questions About My Psychic Abilities

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Leonie, who says she’s had numerous premonitions over the years that have always come true and she wants to ask The Council about her psychic abilities. The Council says one of the reasons Leonie came into this lifetime was to connect with spirits that don’t have a physical body. You’re very open to connecting with energy of spirits that have passed on from this lifetime.

Leonie says this post is about the energy she receives from certain objects. Many years ago it was a house. Every time she’d pass this house she knew there was something about it, but she was unable to tell if it was a past event or something that would affect her in the future. Two years passed and she was still receiving the same feeling from this house. Her daughter was invited to her first sleepover party and it was in that house. Her daughter attended the sleepover, but got sick while she was there and the owner of the house was quite mean to Leonie’s daughter.

Leonie had a similar feeling about a different house near her new home. After a few months of these feelings from this house, she was on a bus and two people got on. She immediately knew they were going to this house, which she noticed they did. Leonie wants to know The Council’s opinion on all of this. The Council says Leonie can feel the energy of these houses and as she picks up on this, she’ll create ways to connect with this energy and feel the energy of anyone connected to these houses.

The Council says when you connect with the energy of these houses, how does that energy feel? Does it bring up fear? Does it bring up an interest in what’s going on in these houses? Do you feel called to theses houses? You can think of a house and ask the spirits there if there’s something you can do for them? Is there something you need to know? If this brings up fear, then you can close this connection down. When you understand you’re a powerful spirit, there’s nothing that will stay in your reality that isn’t welcomed by you.

If you feel joy that you can connect with spirits that have passed on, this is wonderful. If it brings up fear or is uncomfortable, surround yourself with beautiful white light when you pass these houses or think of them, and bring this white light into you so nothing else can make a connection with you. It’s important to know you’re in control. Nothing will come to you unless you conjure it up in your mind.

In time, if you’re open to hearing spirits and helping them, you can make connections with them when they come to you. It’s your decision whether you wish to work with them or close this energy down. When you feel this energy from spirits, kindly send them love. If you decide you want to work with them, talk to them. Meditate and call in spirits that would like to connect with you. You may get lots of information about what’s happened in the past and it may help you moving forward if you lose people in your family or friends.

How Can I Receive Spiritual Gifts if I’m Afraid of Them?

This post answers questions from a reader who calls themself, Bumble Bee, who enjoyed our post, How Do I Interpret My Dreams and Enhance My Psychic Gifts, because it caused them to think about their own spiritual path and gifts. Recently Bumble Bee has been exploring emotional and mental challenges related to their past traumas and realized they haven’t allowed themself to feel pain in order to protect themself from this trauma. But this strategy also prevented Bumble Bee from experiencing joy and pleasure. As Bumble Bee explores these challenges they feel they’ll experience spiritual gifts and they’ll be able to communicate with beings in other realms, but they’re frightened by this possibility and they’d like to be better prepared for what may come.

The Council reminds Bumble Bee the reason they chose to go through these traumas was to have the experience of it, learn from it, and then help others who are going through something similar. And they say the only thing to be frightened of is whatever they can create in their mind. If you continually fear evil spirits, you’ll bring this into your experience. Focus on what you desire and reach out to spirits that are in the light.

The Council recommends reading as much as you can about life forms you’ve heard about to bring it more into your awareness and into your reality. If you want to reach life forms from your past or even your future, any sort of regression work will help.

Bumble Bee asks what spiritual gifts may emerge? The Council says be aware of ideas and dreams of different places and write about them. If you need help writing it’s good to take writing courses. If you wish to connect with the life forms of trees or plants, that’s possible for you to do. Read about these and feel their energy. You’ll get visions and you’ll know things about this sort of life form.

Bumble Bee asks how they can allow their spiritual gifts to manifest even though they have fears about this? The Council advises knowing you are a powerful spirit who’s alway in control of what you let into your reality. Stay in a positive reality. Positive thoughts and the energy of love will bring you only what matches this vibration. Think about other life forms out there that are wanting to give and receive love.

Bumble Bee asks how they can grow their gifts and their relationship to spirit? The Council says meditation is a good way. In other lifetimes when you were connecting to spirit you’d eat plants, light candles as offerings, and burn incense. You can try something similar in your current lifetime. Your higher self will remember how you connected before and will make it easier for you.

Recommendations for Improving a Difficult Life After Divorce

This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Laurie, who left a 25 year marriage a couple of years ago to a man she believes is a narcissistic sociopath. She investigated her ex-husband’s finances in preparation for the divorce, but the mediator wouldn’t hear details. She broke down and settled on the divorce terms and later realized it was at a large financial cost to her. The Council asks Laurie, when she realized the divorce wasn’t fair to her, was she able to let go of this because she’d made the decision? Or did you feel anger and loss, and that you were taken advantage of, and now feel the divorce was wrong?

The Council points out that the decision you made was to accept the divorce settlement, and it’s very difficult for some people to see where their decisions bring about what’s happening. Do you want to put yourself in a place of fear and anger and fight the settlement you accepted. Or has this taught you a valuable lesson and now you wish to move forward in peace and begin to create the life you wish to have?

Laurie says she feels lost, financially scared, and despite all the horrible things her ex-husband has done to her, she misses him because she’s afraid of living alone, unloved, and unable to do things that may have been possible in the marriage. The Council says because of finances and the fear of being on your own are you willing to put yourself back in a situation that was unbearable? The Council asks Laurie to question herself about this decision. Why would you put yourself in a situation where you’d have to go through the difficulty again, and it would be the same. What’s the reason for going back to this man? Is it worth hanging onto this relationship that will prevent you from moving forward and creating a new life because you’re in the middle of this traumatizing experience?

You and your ex-husband have both agreed in spirit to create your marriage. What have you learned? If one person is beating up the other person, why would you consider going back to that? Isn’t there an easier way to learn? Or have you forgotten you came into this lifetime to bring love into your life? That’s the bottom line why you’re here.

The Council says Laurie isn’t alone. There’s always spirits around you that are willing to help you if you give them a chance. If you have the littlest bit of faith, signs will come to you through dreams, through readings, and through talking with people. Opportunities will open up for you when you simply say I want to experience love. I want to experience a life where I’m happy and feel safe. Put this out there on a daily basis. Visualize the kind of life you’d like to have and create this with your thoughts. You’ll begin to build what you desire so that it shows up in your reality.

Laurie says she’s 57 years old and believes stress is taking a toll on her previously healthy body. She’s confused why she’s suffered from her divorce rather than having gotten to a better place. The Council says the marriage was an experience she wished to have and then move forward. Do you sit and think over and over all the uncomfortable things you went through? Or do you say to yourself it’s a new beginning. I’ll begin to create from a place of love.

Many people who go through a divorce are very sad and they get stuck in that sadness and don’t move forward. The Council says they can see that happening in Laurie’s case. They say not only are you not moving forward, but you’re thinking about going backward.

Find joy in things you like to do. Appreciate you’re not in an uncomfortable relationship with a partner like your ex-husband. When your thoughts change the situation must change and your body must change. You’re a spirit in a human body and you’ve created your life every step of the way. Can you wish your ex-husband happiness in the lessons he needs to learn? What were the signs your relationship was detrimental to you? What do you see that you’d handle differently? How would you bring more joy into a relationship?

You’re at a place where you can begin to move forward and change everything. There’s no need to go back. There are many new friends available to you. There are some old friends from other lifetimes that will come into your life. No matter what you’ve gone through, no matter how horrible you think it may have been, you agreed in spirit to experience it and you’ve come through it. Now ask yourself where can you go from here? What do you want?

Laurie says she’s been given the lesson that life isn’t fair, but still wants to believe light triumphs over dark. The Council says of course life is fair. It’s exactly what you wanted to experience. It may not look like wonderful experiences, but it’s what you called in to your life.

The Council recommends Laurie read books about changing her life, like Emmanuel’s Book, by Pat Rodegast and books from Abraham, by Esther and Jerry Hicks. Fill your mind with the words of spirit. And try the exercises that are explained in the Abraham books.

Laurie says she still thinks about going back to her ex-husband despite all the horrible things he’s done to her. She’s empathetic to the hurt little boy inside him rather than focusing on the horrible things he’s done. The Council says it’s wonderful you can feel for the little boy inside him. The Council says that’s a plus, not a minus. Perhaps you can send that little boy some love with your thoughts. Perhaps you can send beautiful pink energy to the adult to help him move forward with their lessons.

By not blaming your ex-husband and understanding he also had lessons he wanted to learn from your marriage, and that you both agreed in spirit to everything that happened in your relationship, the love within you expands and you will grow. Whether you wish yourself love or you wish other people love, just thinking about love changes your vibration.

The Council advises Laurie to do simple steps first. Be grateful. Send love. Be interested in what other people say when they come along to help you. Give other people compliments and be kind. You’ll see yourself beginning to feel better.

How to Change Your Life From Sadness to Happiness

This post answers questions from a reader named, Georgie, who says her life has been difficult and sad for as long as she can remember. In recent years she’s become sick with various immune diseases.

The Council says when you have a lot of trauma in your life, if you don’t deal with it, keep the grief inside yourself, and you focus on the grief and the sadness, it will eventually start to affect your body.

Georgie says because of ill-health she lost her business, her side job, her house, and her cat, and she’s dependent on her partner of 7 months. The Council says Georgie has called for these experiences to learn from them. And if you haven’t learned from them, you’ll have to experience it again in this lifetime or future lifetimes.

You’re spirit is ready to experience a different kind of life, and yet you’re still focusing on these sad experiences which attract to you more of the same. Remember the good times. Change the focus of your attention and appreciate what you have. Feel gratitude for times when things were good. When you do this because you’re ready to start again, your lessons will be different from what they were in the past.

Georgie says her partner is unable to handle all her health problems. She feels abandoned again and wants to break this cycle, but she feels helpless and depressed. The Council says believing these thoughts and not doing the inner work to change her life, she’ll keep creating the same depressing experiences.

Georgie says her partner is her fiance, but now he only wants to be friends until he’s in a better place. The Council advises Georgie to consider that her partner also has issues that he’s working on and he’ll do what he must to work on them. And at the same time, you should be working on your issues so that a change can take place.

Georgie says she’s still able to live with her partner, but she wants to be with him romantically rather than friends for now. The Council say while being just friends isn’t what you want right now, aren’t you a bit grateful that you’re not being thrown out with nowhere to go. Things can change in a friendship and The Council suggest Georgie focus on how wonderful it is that her partner is allowing her to stay where she is.

Georgie asks if she and her partner are destined to be together? The Council says you and your partner make this destiny. In spirit it was decided you would like to be together. Now can you both do the work necessary to create a life where you can be happily together? You can be together, but there must be changes in your lives to see it the way you desire it to be.

Georgie asks if good health will ever return to her. The Council says all her health problems will change when Georgie begins to feel happiness from memories or from something that happens, even if it’s just one thought each day of something she’s able to appreciate. Her vibration will begin to improve and she’ll begin to attract more appreciative thoughts. Your body will improve as your vibration improves and you start to feel appreciation. It’s your decision. No one else can create for you.

When you’re depressed and as you listen to the recording you may feel it’s too difficult to change the pattern of your thoughts to happier ones. You may not feel good about staying in the house with your partner, but only as a friend. This will leave you in a stagnant, going nowhere energy. You need discipline, and The Council sees it is possible for you to do this. The littlest positive changes will begin to happen and as you acknowledge them, there will be more positive changes.

Georgie asks The Council if she’ll ever feel strong, love herself, and feel loved by someone else? The Council says when Georgie returns to the spirit world after this lifetime she’ll feel all this love. There is nothing but love in spirit. But Georgie’s job is to bring the love from spirit into the life she’s creating now. By forcing yourself to hold onto a more positive thought for 3 seconds, if that’s all you can do at first, you will begin to change your negative beliefs. This is your job. This is why you came into this lifetime. You came to experience the traumas you’ve gone through, live through them, see what you allowed these traumas to do to you, and now you have the chance to change your life and make it the way you want it to be.

Georgie asks The Council if she’ll be financially stable and have work that she loves, or even work that she likes? The Council says, as you slowly begin to feel better, you’ll hear about ways to do new things that you enjoy to bring financial stability into your life. It’s all there for you, but it begins with your thoughts and the inner work. Don’t worry about the future. Be in your present moment and insist that you think good thoughts.

How Do I Increase Trust in My Inherent Abundance?

This post answers questions from a reader who goes by the name, Wanu Spirit Library, about increasing their trust in the inherent abundance in their life, and about the feeling of being trapped by their family.

The Council says abundance is there for all of us to experience. Practice thinking of this abundance and feel the feeling of it, and you’ll begin to draw it to yourself. As we come into a new lifetime, we know we are the creator of this experience. And as the creator we create the good and the bad. Some people don’t realize abundance is here for them and they create whatever their attention happens to be drawn toward.

The Council advises moving forward and begin seeing everything you want. Wrap it in a package, put it on a shelf in a storeroom, and know it’s all there for you. And with your thoughts you can send a robot to the storeroom, take a package you’re thinking about, and put it in a mail truck for delivery to your door. But the inner work of thinking these thoughts and feeling these feelings is needed to bring what you desire.

And The Council says when Wanu Spirit Library feels trapped by their family, ask yourself why you feel this way, and know you can change this. You don’t have to listen to family members who tell you how you should live and what you should be doing every day. It’s there for you to hear it and then go within and and find your own dream and create the freedom, the abundance, and anything else you desire.

The Council advises not creating by whatever your attention happens to be drawn to, and not creating by negative thoughts of being trapped or there not being enough. You can create the greatest riches and the most wonderful relationships. Your life can be filled with joy. It’s up to you to stop and think about what you want to experience in this lifetime. And it begins by doing the inner work of focusing your thoughts and your feelings on what you desire.

The Council says the first step is to be aware of what you’re thinking. If you’re thinking fearful thoughts, begin to change these thoughts to less fearful and more joyous ones. And when you’re thinking about how you’d like your life to be, do your best to feel the feeling of what your thinking about as if you’re experiencing it already. When you feel something you desire, it’s already happening in a related reality. The vibration is there. The more you think it and feel it, the more you’ll pull it in.

Know that you’re the creator and this entire reality is in front of you for you to shape one way or another. Start small. Create little thoughts where you see money coming to you. If you want to travel, take a day trip. If you need more relationships in your life, be aware of the friends you have and the gratitude you have for having them in your life. Be aware and thankful for these little steps. Once you begin to feel gratitude for your creations, the universe will send you more of what you’re grateful for.

Creating When You’re Depressed, and a Relationship Question

This post answers a follow-up question and a new question for The Council from a reader who goes by the name, Marylander, who says The Council makes sense when they say Marylander can create things even though they’re depressed. It’s the small things Marylander says they manifest okay, but the bigger things they have more difficulty manifesting.

The Council says they hope Marylander understands that how you manifest the little things, which is by thought, and visualization, and feeling, is the same exact process you use to manifest the larger things. It’s your beliefs that keep you from thinking you can only manifest the little things.

Marylander thinks they have a victim mentality and it’s easy to fall into a pattern where everything and everyone is against them. The Council suggests Marylander use discipline during these times by acknowledging these depressing thoughts and then change what you’re thinking about. Go to a happy thought, or a fantasy, or a beautiful picture in your mind that brings you some joy. This helps you be in control. You can then make your situation lighter or bring yourself out of depression by changing the feeling.

As you realize you’re in victim mode or depressed, determine what you’re thinking and realize you have the power to change your situation by changing your thoughts. Then be aware as you change your focus, how your feelings begin to change.

Next Marylander asks why they were so attracted to the person they call, “L”. Marylander says they felt a strong need to have L in their life and it became unhealthy for them because L didn’t want to be with them. Marylander feels like L stole their chance of being happy. The Council says L isn’t responsible for making Marylander a victim. L is remembering on a soul level what the two of you had agreed to in spirit. Not wanting to be with you is exactly what the two of you had planned.

The Council sees four previous lifetimes you shared with L where they were your mother, your father, your husband, and a wealthy financier. In the last case you were an orphan and were adopted by the financier who took care of you. As your husband, your mother, and your father the spirit who is L also took care of you.

In your current lifetime you both agreed you would be the strong and independent one and come together as friends showing L how strong you are. That’s the reason you aren’t together in a relationship. If you wish to have a strong friendship with L you have to work on your depression and your thoughts of being a victim. You have to become strong and show L the independent and decisive person you can be. This is what you have planned in spirit. But your life hasn’t gone in this direction so far. The Council says knowing this and doing the inner work to change yourself, it’s possible for there to be a change in the relationship.

The Council says L wants to fulfill their part in your current lifetime by not being the stronger one and taking care of you the way they did in previous lifetimes. By not being in a romantic relationship with you L is allowing you to change. But if you stay in the role of victim, what you both planned for this lifetime isn’t taking place and The Council thinks you’ll have an opportunity in another lifetime to be strong and take the dominant role in your relationship.

The Council’s parting words for Marylander are to be aware of how you feel as often as you can. Ask yourself what you’ve been thinking that’s responsible for how you’re feeling. If you’re thinking thoughts that bring you down, depress you, and hold you back from moving forward with your life, then remember to do the inner work of changing your thoughts.
