Is it Time to Leave My Marriage?
This post answers a question for The Council from a reader named, Tanya, who says she’s married with a baby and she’s wondering whether it’s time to leave her marriage. Tanya says her husband lied to her, insulted her, then apologizes and says he’ll change. She’s been going back and forth about leaving him for over a year.
She tells herself she’ll leave, but first she’ll improve her vibration and then things get better for a while. She understands she’s co-creating her reality with her husband and then she comes back to her husband’s insults. She says sometimes I feel like I’m looking for a reason to stay in my marriage. And The Council says they also feel like Tanya’s looking for a reason to stay.
The Council says first change your vibration and how you see your situation. Try to understand what makes your partner say these insulting things. As soon as an insult begins, remind him this is the beginning of him insulting you. Is there another way you can communicate what you want with me without insulting me. Try and get your partner to look at his situation more optimistically. You need to understand this is his problem and comes partly from his insecurity.
Changing your vibration with meditation, thinking good thoughts, sending your partner love whether he’s abusive or not, and understanding he has a problem begins to change your vibration. As your vibration becomes higher and lighter your partner has the choice of changing with you. Or you then have the choice to leave the marriage if his behavior and his vibration doesn’t change. The Council encourages Tanya to work on her vibration and see what she can create. Begin to see your marriage the way you want it to be.
Let go of your husband’s insults that were already said. Don’t keep focusing on them and bringing them into your present reality because when you do you’re feeding that energy and you’ll create more insults.
And when your husband is nice to you and says nice things, compliment him and tell him you like what he just said. It made you feel good. Take the positive route.

Is Sensitivity to Showing My Skin Related to a Past Life?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Eden, who says she’s quite self-conscious about showing her skin in public even though there’s nothing wrong with her skin. She asks if this is issue connected to a past life, and what she can do to work through it and heal it?
The Council says they see two past lives related to Eden’s difficulty exposing her skin. One life wasn’t too long ago where she was Amish and had to cover her skin. Eden never liked this and wanted a life where she was free from these restrictions and could dress differently.
There was also a life in the 1500s where you were part of a very large family with a mother and father who thought they were very religious and had many rules. In this lifetime one of the rules was that you couldn’t show your skin. These people believed the body was shameful and had to be covered.
The cell memories of these two past lives bring the fear you need to be covered up and the fear you can’t change your life, but these past lives are why you’ve come into your current lifetime. You can very slowly change this pattern. You have the freedom to wear shorter skirts and shirts with short sleeves.
One day you can go out without socks on. Go out with something where you can roll up your sleeves. It may be nerve-racking at first. You may not understand your fears and you may not think these things are helping, but you wanted the freedom to experience this fear again in your current lifetime and realize you have choices and you can change this pattern. Maybe start by just walking around your house or apartment with clothes that give more exposure to your skin and see how that feels. Then gradually you can work you way up to going outside and see how that feels.
As you get over the fear of exposing your skin you’ll have the freedom to enjoy the heat because you can dress the way you want.

Will I Find Meaningful Work in Addition to Motherhood?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Sara Jane, who says her life is in transition and she feels on the brink of something new. She says it’s exciting, but there’s also anxiety because she’s the mother of three young children and financially dependent on her husband. Lately she feels something beyond motherhood calling her, but she can’t figure out what it is. Sara Jane never felt she had a calling for a career outside of being a mother, which she says is a great job, but doesn’t pay anything.
The Council says being a mother prepared you for what you want to do with the rest of your life. One of the things you wanted to do was teach children. If you don’t want to go back to school and get a degree in teaching, you need to be around children in any capacity. You can show them much love and understanding. You wanted to reach out to children. And so it’s good you chose to become a mother first to understand children and go in this direction.
Even though your spirit was planning to teach children, from what The Council sees in your other life times recently, it would also be good for you to show adults around. Explain the environment to them. You can learn about history and be a guide in a museum or be a tour guide. Teach and show children or adults, giving them direction, understanding, and knowledge. In the future this could lead to taking people to different places on tours if this is something you want.
She asks if she’ll find meaningful work in addition to motherhood in this lifetime and The Council says, yes, if you begin to look and give yourself time to research different positions and what you need to acquire them.
Sara Jane asks if her main purpose in life was to be a mother, and The Council says it was part of her main purpose, but not all of it.
Sara Jane says part of the transition she’s facing likely includes leaving her marriage and she’s anxious to know if she’ll be self-sufficient and happy creating a life for herself and her children some day. The Council says they don’t see you leaving your marriage right away. When you go through more of your transition perhaps there will be a more positive change in your marriage so you won’t need to leave your husband.
The Council says if Sara Jane is open to learning more in all parts of her life, they feel her ideas about what she wants from herself and her husband will change. And they advise giving the marriage time.

Why Did My Partner Cross Over Sooner Than Expected?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Misti, who has a question about divine timing. She says her twin flame partner crossed over earlier this year from cancer leaving her devastated and confused. Many years earlier he was told his life plan by a guru and was supposed to live longer than he did. He was a powerful medium and we were both certain he’d recover from his illness. Why did my partner leave earlier than I expected?
The Council feels Misti’s partner learned most of what he wanted to learn before he passed. No matter who tells you how long you’re going to live, your spirit knows why it’s here, what it’s looking for, when you achieve it, and when you plan to leave. Your partner was very excited about going back into spirit and bringing the information and the feeling of what he learned with him, and then to come back in a new life.
Misti asks if her partner was needed sooner than expected on the other side and The Council replies somewhat humorously that nothing is needed on the other side. It’s all there.
Misti asks if her partner taught her the lessons she needed to learn sooner than expected and she released him sooner? The Council says Misti hasn’t learned all her lessons and she’ll be in this lifetime for quite a while yet. Be grateful for what you learned from your partner and move forward. You’ll always receive help from spirit and from your partner even though he’s passed over.
The Council advises Misti not to feel she learned too quickly and helped your partner crossover. He didn’t rush back to spirit because something’s wrong back there and he’s really needed. He crossed over joyfully with information, with feeling, with understanding that would help everyone grow, even in spirit.
Your partner learned that confusion is okay. He learned that when you’re here you don’t ever reach your full potential. There’s always more desires and more you want to learn. You go through each lesson and you take the information with you to the other side so that even in spirit everyone grows. Your partner learned about chaos, he learned about confusion, and he learned about healing. And he was excited to take this information and the feelings back to spirit.
The Council closes by saying your partner definitely didn’t need to heal the cancer her was suffering from before he crossed over.

Why Did I Choose to Have an Abusive Childhood?
This post answers questions for The Council from a woman named, Kate, who asks why she had such an abusive and sad childhood? And why didn’t she decide to get away from this negative environment when she could have easily done this?
The Council says Kate chose an abusive childhood to learn forgiveness, and your spirit knew you needed to stay in this abuse in order to learn from it. You were exactly where you needed to be. Being in this abusive relationship was an agreement you made with the other spirits involved to go through this abuse so they could learn their lessons and you could learn yours.
Think back to this situation. What have you learned? Even if it’s only that you don’t want to be like the people who abused you and this isn’t the life you want for yourself going forward. What does this experience remind you of? Why were you afraid to leave? Do you need to learn compassion for the other person or people? Do you need to learn compassion for yourself?
Kate asks what lesson was she supposed to learn from this abuse. The Council says there were many lessons, but they feel one of the reasons you wanted to experience this was to learn from it so you could help other people who go through abusive relationships. You would speak to these people from your heart about what it’s like to be in this kind of relationship and what you’ve learned. This will help other souls get through their lessons. You wanted to go through this somehow, learn from it, and pass along the wisdom gained from your experience to people you would meet in the future that need to hear about it. And The Council feels this will take place.
Kate can read the book, The Little Soul and the Sun, by Neale Donald Walsch to gain additional insight about how spirits plan their lives before being born and how they can learn about forgiveness.

What Can I Do About My Financial Difficulties?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Miya, who says she’s in a repeated cycle of financial difficulties. She doesn’t like being around negative energies, but most of jobs that would accept her are with the public where she has to deal with different types of people and by the end of the day she feels drained.
The Council says they see a lot of negative thoughts on Miya’s part which are bringing in negative experiences, affecting her finances, affecting where she works, and affecting the people she surrounds herself with. You think you’re being positive, but there’s just as many negative thoughts and they’re counterbalancing each other.
The Council feels Miya senses negative energy from many people and they ask why she focuses on this? Do you look at people you feel have negative energy and realize these people are spiritual beings? Do you realize they’re here trying to learn their lessons and go through obstacles, joys, and experiences? Can you send these people positive energy? Can you understand what they’re going through?
The Council says Miya needs to be around people and truly focus on the good in them. You need to tell yourself to reach out to their spirit. This will make you change how you see people. This will raise your vibration. When this is done the right kind of work will come to you. People that you like to be around will appear in your life. It’s about your thoughts and your beliefs and how they will give you a better perspective on what’s going on.
Miya says she lives with relatives who don’t believe as much in spirituality as she does. The Council says you came into this lifetime to bring love. Love is allowing everyone to be who they are. Allow your family to be who they are. They don’t have to have the same energy as you. They don’t have to have the same beliefs as you. Your lesson is to send these people love the way you see them.
Miya says she’s in her late 20s with a bachelor’s degree in audio and still lives with her parents. The Council asks if you’re looking for the kind of work that your degree will help you get. If you feel you have to work at something you don’t like, volunteer somewhere you can use your audio skills. This should give you joy and begin to change your energy. You have to bring in some joy.
Miya says my family is barely getting by. We’re all crowded in a small home in a disturbing neighborhood. I still find ways to be happy, but happiness doesn’t pay the bills. The Council says what will help pay the bills is to look for things about your family that you like and be grateful you have it. This begins to change your vibration and bring in different situations. Your main purpose in this lifetime was to go into negative situations and look for the good in them. As you find the good these things will begin to change.
Miya says she prays for a financial change and tries to manifest a miracle. This job that’s coming into my life is going to be okay, but my patience for having money in my hands is disturbing me. The Council says the miracle she’s asking for is a change in her beliefs. Be grateful this job is coming to you. Be grateful it will pay you money you need. As you’re grateful for these things, whether you like the job or not, the perfect situation will come along.
The Council closes by saying Miya wanted to experience negativity in this lifetime and she’s created it all around her. Now go back and look at for the good in each of these situations. Improve your thoughts. Know that each person is a spirit, whether you like them or not, and bless them. You have no idea what these people are going through and what their challenges are. Begin to think of other people with compassion and send them love. Be grateful you have a job whether you like it or not. Be grateful for the amount of money you’re making whether you like it or not. Be grateful for your environment. You’re not alone. If you can do this, things will change for you.

Why Do I Feel So Disconnected From Spirit?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Kristi, who says she’s searched and questioned her connection to spirit for years and is constantly looking for answers about her spirituality.
The Council says you’re always connected to spirit because you are spirit. Kristi needs to do the chakra alignment meditations and she needs to meditate every day going into her heart. That’s where spirit is easiest to find. Create a light in your heart, sit there with it, and you’ll feel a better connection to spirit.
Kristi says she feels she’s coming up short in her answers from spirit. I’ve been to psychics, had past life regression hypnotherapy, and taken mediumship classes, but I feel more disconnected than ever. I feel like all my attempts are futile, which is discouraging.
The Council says they see the path Kristi is on and she’s looking outside herself for her connection to spirit. You have to go within to feel this connection. Take at least 15 minutes a day to meditate on her heart, picturing beautiful green energy all around it. And within this green energy picture a white light the size of a pinhead and focus on this white light expanding until it reaches beyond your body and it’s all around you. When you do this every day you’ll start to feel more calm and you’ll begin to feel your connection to spirit.

Who Dictated the Ten Commandments to Moses?
This post answers a question for The Council from a reader named, Keith, who simply asks: Who dictated the Ten Commandments to Moses?
Ordinarily we like to summarize The Council’s guidance for those of you who don’t feel like listening to the audio recording. Sometimes we use the summary to try and clarify what The Council says during a session.
In the case of our session with The Council to answer Keith’s question, we’re concerned that our words won’t do justice to the guidance The Council provides and we suggest you listen to the 5-minute audio recording of this session.
This session highlights the idea that we all create the reality we experience with our beliefs. It talks about soul group agreements. And The Council reminds us that as a spirit we can create anything.

Why Do People Think Astrology and Tarot are Demonic?
This post answers a question for The Council from a reader named, Miyagi, who’s into Astrology and reading Tarot cards, but some of her family think it’s witchcraft and this scares her. A friend told her it’s demonic. Why do people have a difficult time believing in Astrology and the Tarot for guidance?
The Council says many people who don’t understand getting guidance from Astrology and Tarot are afraid of it and think it’s demonic. Most people who are afraid of Astrology and Tarot have experienced lifetimes where they misused it and so coming back in this lifetime they’re afraid of it.
Astrology and Tarot go very far back in time. The pagan religions, which are also thought to be demonic, were people who worshipped the stars, the moon, the Earth, animals, and everything that had life. In ancient times people worshipped many different gods. When Christianity came along this unfortunately changed things. They believed in Christ and if you didn’t believe their way they’d destroy your temples and punish you. There were Popes who changed the laws of Christianity to make all other religions evil.
Because Miyagi has the power to read cards and stars, the more she studies this the easier it will come to her because she’s done this in other lifetimes, and did it in a way that was good for people. Miyagi says she looks at everything as created from the divine source, but she’s confused about all this and wants The Council’s opinion. The Council says when you can see things through the eyes of creation, you’re on the right track because you’re looking at these things with love. We advise you to stay on this path.

How Do We Create Probable Selves That Have Different Parents?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Hubert, who asks about generating probable selves (other lifetimes) as it pertains to the following quote from the Seth material.
In two probable realities your mother (for example) did not have children. In some she married, but not the man you know as your father. In some probable systems you and your mother both exist, but as complete strangers.
Hubert says it seems we generate probable selves not just during the crossroads we encounter in life, but also prior to coming into our physical reality. And he asks how we generate these probable selves that have one or two different parents?
The Council begins by saying it’s very easy for you to create as many lives or as Hubert calls them, probable selves, as you like. They say it’s difficult to understand how you do this because you don’t fully understand how powerful you are as a spirit in a human body. Just a tiny part of you is here asking this question and living this life.
In spirit you’re this ball of energy, love, and light and you have the ability to create hundreds of lives. You send tiny pieces of yourself into physical reality, but you’re still this limitless ball of energy. In spirit whatever you want to create you’ll send out energy to create it. This is how you have all these (what you call) probable lives going on. Your mother in one life can be your best friend or your wife in another life.
You can create anything you desire. You can create lives in different time periods, on different planets, or different places in a reality you wish to experience. There’s nothing you can’t create. There’s no time period you can’t create. There’s no other dimension you can’t create. You’re this powerful spirit that’s here to experience everything it wants, to learn from it, to enjoy it, to help others, and to always bring love into each life.
Just by having a desire, the larger part of you will send out energy and you’ll create another life. That part of you will live that life, remember it, and understand it. And every life you live, everything you learn, every thought you have, goes back to the larger spiritual part of you.
You’re in control of all of your lives. You can live one lifetime and you can be experiencing a whole different lifetime living in a different neighborhood. You can experience yourself as your friend, but you won’t know it unless you’re so developed you wish to know this and it seems familiar.
Hubert closes by asking if he creates multiple selves with different parents, would these parents select families in the same geographic area and of the same ethnicity, or could these and other choices these parents make be entirely different? The Council says it’s all according to how you wish to set up each lifetime. They could be in the same geographic area and have the same ethnicity, but they could also be on the other side of the world and have a different ethnicity.
You can be in your current lifetime with one set of parents and in this same lifetime create another life with a different set of parents. But you won’t be the same in this other life because you’ve set it up to look different, learn different lessons, and work with different spirits. Unless you let yourself experience this information in a dream or a meditation, you won’t be aware this other life is going on at the same time because you set it up so that body, that brain, and those emotions are focusing only in that particular lifetime. You can have one hundred other lifetimes, but you are only focused in the present of one of those lifetimes.

How Do I Develop an Understanding of My Subconscious?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Juan, who wants to develop an understanding of the subconscious. He’s looking for information on its nature and purpose, and he wants to talk to the subconscious and know how it can improve his life.
The Council begins by telling Juan he brought what he’s calling the subconscious with him into this lifetime. They say there isn’t a place for the subconscious; it doesn’t exist in the brain or anywhere in the body. The subconscious is thoughts you want to block out and not deal with that you’ve had in prior lifetimes and this lifetime. The subconscious is you.
The subconscious can show up in your dreams, usually in symbols. Your dreams are you trying to reach the questions you have in your subconscious.
The subconscious is your deep beliefs and questions that your spirit, which also is you, would like you to find answers to. It’s there to help you grow and help you question. Don’t be annoyed or discouraged you’re unable to reach your subconscious.
The best way you can connect with your subconscious is through meditation. Learn more about spirit. There’s no separation where you’re here and your spirit or your subconscious is somewhere else or something else. It’s you coming into different realities with questions that need to be answered.
When you don’t get the answer to a question, it’s still with you and it’ll come up in other parts of your life. It’ll come up in your dreams. It’ll bring you a similar experience so you can find an answer to your questions. What you call the subconscious, which is you, is here to help you.
When you feel you’re having difficulty connecting with your subconscious, write it down. Writing is very powerful. If you want to know what’s in your subconscious, write it a letter. Dear Subconscious, what’s in there I need to know? What thoughts are you holding for me that I can find answers to? How can you show me the way to bring these experiences up again and have the answers clearly shown to me? When you put your questions in writing and read it before you go to bed and in the morning when you wake up, you’re subconscious will open up to you and you’ll begin to see your answers coming through.
If you have a dream you don’t understand write: Dear Subconscious, there’s something in this dream I feel I should know. It didn’t make any sense. What are you trying to tell me? Read your letter several times until your subconscious slowly begins to reveal itself. The reason we say “slowly” is there’s part of you that doesn’t believe you’ll get the answers, or that the subconscious is this strange and mysterious place that won’t help you out.
We’d even suggest when you write to your subconscious instead of saying, Dear Subconscious, you can say, Dear Me, because that’s who it is.

Fires Burning in the Amazon are Tearing Me Apart
This post answers a question from a reader named, Utah, who says they feel very sad about the fires burning in the Amazon rainforest. The Council wants to know besides the way you feel, what are you learning? What can you do to turn this around?
The Council says when there’s a massive experience in our reality, many souls have agreed to experience this and to somehow change it. It’s about taking care of the Earth. It’s about honoring the trees, the animals, the grass. What can you do where you live right now? How can you help the environment? The planet wants our help. Do you take care of your garden if you have one? Do you honor the trees where you live? How do you honor the piece of Earth that you’re on? If there are organizations that are against these fires in the rainforest, you can join them.
Look for ways to focus your attention on the fires in the rainforest so you can feel better about it. When you focus on the destruction and those horrible feelings, you’ll create more of these feelings. You’ll hear about more things like the fires happening. The best way to handle this situation is to focus on honoring the Earth.
In your home what do you do to keep the air clean? What do you do to keep your property clean? Is your house run with safe products in it? How do you care for your environment, inside and outside, in the gentlest way?
Everything has energy. Everything has a soul. Everything develops. A blade of grass can come back as a tree or an animal. Everything learns on the scale of where they are. Love everything. Take care of everything and you’ll notice a change for the better.
Man’s burning the rainforest is a difficult lesson that’s brought on spiritually for people to learn about it, perhaps get outraged, and once they’ve gotten to this point try to figure out how they can change it. How can you bring love into this situation?
If you were to sit in your chair and meditate on any place in the world and send energy there, you improve this place. Things will change for the better. Do this if you feel you can’t do anything else. Everyone creates their reality with their thoughts. Send energy to the rainforest and send energy to your house and your neighborhood. Work with energy and the intention behind it. It’s not only good for healing someone who comes for a healing. It’s for the whole planet.
