The Council’s Use of Prononuns
This post is about a question from a reader named Jan who wants to know if The Council’s use of pronouns like ‘you’ and ‘we’ is meant to differentiate between themselves and those of us in this physical reality.
The simple answer is, we don’t think so. The Council says sometimes they say ‘you’ when they’re trying to make a point about the person who’s asked a question. And they sometimes say ‘we’ when they’re talking more generally or when they are included.
The not so simple explanation has to do with how The Council experiences reality and how we experience reality. The Council says they use you and I often to refer to the same person because we are all one. But they add this point of view takes some understanding.
The Council says, “In truth we are all parts of all reality. And yet it is easier for people to understand when we say, ‘We have chosen to be part of your reality.’ It is easier to understand it that way instead of saying, ‘We are all in everybody’s reality all the time.'”
In other words, The Council seems to be saying their choice of pronouns has less to do with differences between us and them, and more to do with making themselves more easily understood by the largest number of people.
The Council says when they use the words ‘you’ and ‘us,’ many people don’t understand they’re referring to the same thing because they see us as spiritual beings just like they are spiritual beings.
The Council suggests meditating on their answers to this question and says it will open many doors and pose many new questions.
Jan also asks about beings like angels that interact with us from a non-physical reality, but we’ve decided to answer this question in a future post.
Listen to The Council’s answer to this question in the 6-minute session below and let us know your thoughts.

Anything you consider a reality
Instantly becomes one.

You Are Creating Your Own Reality
A Thought for the Day
You are creating your own reality.
Your reality does not just happen to you,
As it is commonly understood.
As you begin to ask for what you want,
Your faith that you deserve it,
Your focus of attention on it,
And your imagination of it,
Will attract what you desire
Into your reality.

April 6, 2011 Daily Thought
There is a growing awareness
That your dreams
Are part of your reality,
And they have the potential
To be magnificent creations.

2011-01-12
You have heard of a major shift happening on your planet.
It is a shift in consciousness and it is happening right now.
The beginning of this shift is you becoming aware of who you really are,
And that you are the creator of your reality.
When you truly accept this,
Your reality changes.

What’s So Important About Multiple Realities?
This is our second post on the subject of multiple realities. Our last post, What About This Idea There’s More Than One Reality? was the first in what may become a series on this subject. In that post we wrote about a session with The Council almost three months ago that got us interested in this subject. Since then we’ve done two sessions with The Council focused on multiple realities and how an appreciation of this fascinating topic might help us and others improve the day-to-day quality of our lives. Here’s how the second session began (after the customary greetings):
Council: And so you have questions?
Bob: I’m under the impression that you would like us to concentrate on a post on multiple realities.
Council: Yes. We feel at this time it is good to get some of this information.
Bob: When you say ‘some,’ do you have any particular aspect of the information…
Council: The understanding that there are multiple realities that you experience.

What About This Idea There’s More Than One Reality?
This post is an introduction to the concepts of multiple realities and multiple dimensions — subjects that were briefly introduced to us a couple months ago in a session with The Council to answer a question from Diana about a relationship where two people seem to have opposing desires. Here are some of The Council’s references to multiple realities that got us thinking about this subject and how an understanding of it might improve your day-to-day human experience.
“But if you go deeper into what many people are not understanding yet, in all of our realities that simultaneously exist, when you ask for this [experience] to be in your life and you line up with that vibration, it is experienced.”
…“So you are always given what you ask for, but there are many dimensions. And not to make it too difficult, we try to get your focus to be on creating the feeling within you that you would have with this [experience] that you desire.”
…“By making it as real as possible you will find the feeling within you. The joy [and] the happiness that you feel experiencing it as if it is already done – that feeling makes it real in another reality. It is happening. That happening in another reality brings it closer to coming into your existence.
“By just having the thoughts, it is created. But experiencing it as if it is already done makes it already done in a reality, in a dimension, that is closer to your human existence.
“And so each time this memory, this desire is experienced, the vibration of those thoughts and feelings gives the universe (so to speak) the power of creating this in your reality – to bring it in.”

What About This Idea That We Create Whatever We Desire?
This post is in response to a question from Diana about the idea that everyone creates whatever they desire. She’s read a lot on this subject and asks about the practical application of this idea for creating a relationship she desires. Diana particularly wants to know how this idea works if she focuses all her attention on being with a specific person, but this person is focusing all their attention in opposition to that and doesn’t want to be with her. She asks the logical question: How is it possible for both people to get what they desire if their desires are exact opposites?
What We Desire, We Create First in a Non-Physical Reality
The Council’s answer to Diana’s question provided Cynthia and me with some new insight and understanding into the process of getting what we desire. This understanding begins with the idea that when we have a desire for something, whatever we desire is immediately created in a non-physical, vibrational reality. In Diana’s example, The Council says her desire to be with this person (since a name or gender aren’t specified we’ll refer to this person with the letter A) instantly creates in a non-physical reality the experience that she is with A in every way she desires.
Given a choice, most of us probably prefer to experience our desired creations in our physical reality, not just a vibrational one. So the question is: how do we get our desired creation from a non-physical reality into our physical reality.

A Broken Sacred Contract and How to Move On
This post is inspired by a question for The Council from Chris who asks how to move on when someone she feels she was meant to spend her life with broke a sacred contract by leaving. She also asks if it’s possible to find another partner under the circumstances.
Sacred Contracts
The Council observes that souls frequently agree to come into physical bodies during the same lifetime and help each other in their physical lives, but the Council isn’t inclined to understand these agreements as binding sacred contracts, as implied by Chris’s question. The Council believes the idea of an unchangeable binding sacred contract goes against one of the most important principles in all of creation: the free will that all humans, all souls, all spirit is given by our creator to choose, in any moment, from an infinite variety of possibilities. The Council’s idea of a sacred contract is the agreement each soul makes to unconditionally love the part of itself that comes to experience life in a physical body.

You are Pure Spirit in a Physical Body – Part 2
The Challenge of Being Our True Selves
This post is part of a series that’s based on a session with The Council in response to Robyn’s request for support and guidance to:
- Get past feeling it’s not safe to be herself
- Stop believing she will be rejected if she expresses her true feelings
- Start speaking and living her truth
Part 1
Part 1 includes a transcript of an 18 minute message to Robyn from The Council. The primary theme of this message is that we are all pure spirit in a physical body and the more we are able to keep this thought in mind, the less troubled we will be by the issues that Robyn describes and the more successful we will be at speaking and living our truth. This post addresses some of the challenges of being true to who we really are.

Are You Able to Communicate with The Council?
This post is a response to a question from Robyn and a question from William who want to know whether their perception that they can communicate with The Council is accurate. William writes that while meditating recently, a group of beings who identified themselves as “The Council” started talking to him and he’d like to know if this is the same Council that speaks through Cynthia or if he’s just imagining things. Robyn wants to know if The Council agrees she can hear them even though she’s often afraid to listen.
We Are All Part of Collective Consciousness
The Council wants us to understand that we are all part of a collective consciousness. In William’s meditation he experienced The Council telling him that he is one with all, and all is one with him. The Council advises that spirit names are a convenient way to refer to themselves when communicating with those of us in physical bodies, but it’s not particularly helpful to think of The Council or other manifestations of spirit as separate from all that is and its collective consciousness.
