How To Stay Positive During Job Uncertainty
This post answers questions for The Council from an anonymous reader.
Anonymous: Hello to The Council. I took a new job earlier this year after looking for a long time. I am now facing being laid off amidst the chaos of the Trump Administration. So is my husband. We are terrified. We both worked stable jobs for years. I, of course, am trying to remain calm and positive, and assume everything will work out, but I can’t figure out what went wrong or how this happened.
Council: So #1, we would say, the ideal is your answer: planning to stay calm. Having to know how this happened, why this happened, what’s going to happen – you do not need to know any of this. What you need to know is: Yes, it’s going to work out. I don’t have to know how. It will work out.
And then perhaps play with ideas in your imagination, what you want to do next. You can pick what you want to do next, and then do the inner work to create it.
And so we would say your first idea of staying calm is exactly what you need to do right now.
Anonymous: Should I have stayed at my old job, which was very stable?
Council: It wasn’t supposed to be that way. That wasn’t your [pre-planned] choice. And so again we would say, forget the past. It doesn’t matter. That’s done right now. How do you want to move forward? Thinking, should I, could I have, would it have been this way, would it have been that way, that does not matter. That energy is out there. It happened. Now take control of going forward.
Anonymous: I am exhausted to think I need to start looking again, and doubting everything.
Council: Make it fun. Look for fun jobs – things you can’t imagine you would get. Think of having to look for a job as not exhausting. It’s a new beginning. How exciting. How wonderful. What am I going to come up with? The way you perceive it is how it will come to you. So be excited about what you are about to create.
Anonymous: I’m doubting my ability to manifest and how to move forward.
Council: Of course. And that is only part of [what] humanity [experiences]. And so it’s good to doubt. Doubt – take a look at it and say, “Oh, there it is again. That’s going to scare the heck out of me. No, I’m not going there.” And then go back into the excitement [of]: What is the universe going to help send you? Because you know the universe is there for you. Believe it. Have faith in it. Send pictures out in your mind of what you want. It has to come.
And so we wish you love, and peace, and happiness on your journey. And just enjoy. Find things to enjoy, and the rest will take care of itself.

Questions About Career, Health, And Extraterrestrials
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named Firefly.
Firefly: I’d like some direction regarding my career. In many ways I appreciate my job very much. I like taking day trips and helping people.
Council: Wonderful.
Firefly: I’d like to be working more with plants, trees, and maybe animals. I want to work with nature and the earth.
Council: And so it is so important that you realize this. And what are you doing now to make this happen? Number 1, the first step you’ve done. You realize what it is that you love. So now, as you imagine it in your head, go forward. How do I get into this area of work?
Firefly: I haven’t discovered anything yet that allows me to take action towards my exciting ideals except for searching on employment sites.
Council: And how about forgetting employment sites, and go around to places where they do this kind of work? Go to a park and see if they need people to volunteer there. Go into a nursery and learn about plants, and start growing, even if it’s a little plant on your windowsill. Go into a shelter that needs help with the animals. Now forget researching it and go out into these places where these things are happening, and you will meet the right people, and you will find the one particular thing that you would like to do right now.
Firefly: I think I do need to be out and about.
Council: Oh, yes.
Firefly: I would love more travel opportunities in my future, and to continue working with my significant other. I am also trying to redirect myself towards better health, and would appreciate any input about creating this.
Council: The fastest way you can create anything is with gratitude. And so we would say, talk to your body, talk to your spirit, and talk to the universe about how happy you are with the body you have, even if it doesn’t work correctly all the time – that it is strong, and that it has taken you this far. And send love to yourself and to your body. And talk to every cell in your body, and tell it that it knows how to heal everything, which it does. And it has the intelligence to do it, and you support it. And that’s all you really need.
You need to appreciate who you are. You need to appreciate the different kinds of work there are in your lifetime that you can get involved with. When you start sending yourself and all the other things, love and happiness, and giggles, and find things to laugh about. Even if you were to walk and fall down on the floor, you can laugh and say, “I’m clumsy. Or feet, what were you doing?” You become almost child-like, and love every part of yourself, and everywhere you can go in this universe. And you will create what you’re looking for.
Firefly: The last thing I’d like to mention about the future I’m trying to create is extraterrestrial contact and collaboration in order to benefit the Earth, and coming into a truer version of myself.
Council: And so, do you meditate on that? That would be the first step, to meditate. If you had contact with extraterrestrials, what would you do? How would you want it to be? Is there a way to be helpful in this area? So take it along the steps, what would it be like?
Before you go to sleep at night, think about how you would like that to be. Ask for signs. It’ll come in your dreams about meeting extraterrestrials. It is done. Once you put it out there with the intent, it is there. And it will sometimes come in a book that you will read. Sometimes someone will pass you on the street, and you actually have to turn around and look, because there’s something about that person. There are so many extraterrestrials that are here that you would never believe how many you already know.
And so, pay attention to your feelings, and the signs will come to you. Keep asking. Keep seeing. Keep being a beacon of light and peace to these other creatures, and you will bring it into your life.
Firefly: I am trying to create more dream and meditative connections, but I am wondering if I can look forward to something more direct soon.
Council: Of course you can. But if you wonder with doubt, that puts a hold on it. You are spirit. You are here to create anything you want. And so, meditating, you bring the thought to yourself, this is going to put you out there to make that connection. It is doable.
Firefly: I appreciate you so much.
Council: And so we send you love, and all the joy that you can find in your lives. Create, create, create.

Dealing With Wife’s Infidelity, Career Search, And Money Problems
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Roy.
Roy: Hello, Bob and Cynthia. Thank you for your wonderful platform. My questions center around three areas of my life where I’ve struggled the most. In my marriage I struggle with letting go of past wounds, as my partner had an affair several years ago, yet recently I’m obsessing over it and feeling very guarded.
Council: So you are suffering from the situation that happened to you. What have you done to let it go? Can you let it go?
If you are with this person and you constantly have the thoughts that: 1) there is no trust there, 2) you can’t make this work, and 3) it is uncomfortable, it’s very hard to turn it around.
But if you say, “Well, you know we both came here, we’re spirits, we wanted to be together. So the first thing as spirits, we have to find the love.” Show each other love, and do things that will bring happiness back into the relationship.
It is not so much thinking, “I’ve got to let it go,” because there’s hurt in those thoughts. But when you think, “We’ve planned this. We came together. We love each other. We want this to work,” that’s what changes what happens. And so, you have to want to bring joy, and trust, and love back into the relationship.
And, of course, communication is the first form of getting this (as we would say) out on the table, and discussing what can be done to bring the love that is there, and it is still there. How do you bring it forward?
Roy: I also struggle with finding a career path that I would find fulfilling.
Council: So what kind of desire do you have? What kind of joy do you have when you think of working? Even if you have an image of becoming a millionaire, how did you do it? What do you see yourself doing? It’s always important to play with you’re imagination and pay attention to what it feels like.
When you come into this reality, you always bring with you many, many gifts from other lifetimes. Well what is it? What brings you joy? Do you like to read? Do you like to draw? Do you like to be around people? Do you like to help people who have problems, or who are sick? Look and see what is of interest to you. Do you want to be around animals? Do you want to be outside? Do you want a job where you travel?
No one can give you that answer. You can’t sit back and say, “Tell me what I can do.” There are many, many things you can do, but now play with it. Do the work, and you will be surprised how fast this changes if you are intent on doing the work. You can do it. You can find it. It is already within you. Reach out for it. Be open to it being anything at all, but you will know because you will be happy doing it.
Roy: And I have financial problems that cause challenges in all areas of my life.
Council: And so we would say, as you tell us what is going on in your life, we would like to explain to you that energy is energy. It doesn’t always hit one area of your life. If you find yourself in (the word people use) a funk, it’s everywhere in your life. It will hit your finances, it will hit your relationships, and eventually it will hit your health. So right now, instead of putting pressure on yourself to feel better, to have a better relationship, to find a better job, work on yourself. How do I find a way to feel happy about anything? And by anything we say, are you happy walking down the street when you see babies playing together? Are you happy when you see a cute dog walking on a leash? Are you happy to look in store windows? Find the little things first. That is your challenge right now, because it is in every area of your life where things are not moving.
Find things to be grateful for and acknowledge them. Even if you were to find a penny on the street, laugh, acknowledge, “Okay, here’s some money.” Whatever it is, try to find the happiness in it. When you do that, you will find more and more things to be grateful for, and you will start feeling better, and you will find the right kind of job, and your relationship will improve. Find the gratitude. There is too much around you, and you have reason to feel this way. But now you know you are a spirit. You have the power to change your life by your choices, by how you think of things. And so we suggest you go on that path.
Roy: Any insights would be greatly appreciated. I feel I have been repeating patterns, and I am unable to move past this stage in my life.
Council: The pattern can be changed, but only you can do it. And you can do it. We see that.
And so we send you love, and all the joy that you can find in your lives. Create, create. create/

Relax, Be Excited, And Believe A Brand New Job You Haven’t Thought Of Yet Is Coming
This post answers questions for The Council from an anonymous reader.
Anonymous: Hello to The Council, and to Bob, and Cynthia. I’ve been looking for a new job for some time now. I came very close at one point and had a few interviews, but none of them worked out. I’m really struggling to stay positive, and worry that I will just manifest more of what I’m feeling, which is trapped, bored, desperate, frustrated with colleagues, and not doing impactful work, rather than what I want.
Council: And that is because you use the words, “you are struggling to be positive,” and “you are struggling not to feel bored.” It is the struggle that creates the stuckness. But what we see here is a different career than what you are thinking of.
What we suggest is, for a time, if you can release yourself from this thought of being stuck, and needing a change, and a different job. Take time to relax, to not work, and to tell yourself you are allowed to do nothing. Because in past lives there was always a push to succeed. You had to do. And you had to take on different problems to succeed.
So you need some time to sort of slow down. If you must work, then while you work, whatever you are doing, you are doing it to make some money. When you leave your job at the end of the day, you go home, and now you picture yourself relaxing. Feel it. Meditate. You are slowing down, and you think you don’t have to wait.
There is something better that your spirit is working on, and you need the downtime, the belief, and the practice to get excited. Really, really get excited that something brand new that you don’t even know what it is yet, is coming to you. That’s what is needed at this time. Not to stay in a job that you don’t like, or be unhappy. Do it if you have to, but when you leave, the time away from the job, there is an excitement.
Something is coming. You are creating something beautiful, and it will be without stress. And right now, you need to just flow, and just relax. Picture yourself anywhere that feels good to you, that you are relaxing, and you are free. And go through all the parts of the body and have it relax. And as you concentrate, not on creating something new, because your higher self is doing that, what you are trying to learn is that you can just relax. Just wait. It is coming. There is no struggle needed. If you do that, you will find something completely new. What a wonderful surprise.
Anonymous: I don’t doubt my abilities, but somehow I’m just not finding the right opportunity.
Council: Not yet.
Anonymous: Is it just a matter of time and patience?
Council: It is a matter of time and relaxing – relaxing and feeling free. No pressure to do anything. That’s what your spirit wants this time around.
Anonymous: Does The Council have any ideas on how I can remain positive, patient, and in a vibration open to a new opportunity? Thank you.
Council: So be positive. Be like a child. Picture yourself, if you want to, traveling the world. Picture yourself living in a cabin in the woods. Picture yourself walking on the beach where you own a house. Anything that gives you freedom and relaxation. That’s what you have to do. It’s as simple as that. That will work for you.
And so we send you love, and happiness, and joy, and adventure, and gratitude in everything that you do.

Why Did I Plan This Great Work Opportunity?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Anonymous_Question.
Anonymous: Hi, Cynthia, Bob, and The Council. Thanks so much for your work, and Happy New Year.
I had a lot of difficulty for the last few years with a manipulative manager in my last job, and went through a traumatic workplace situation recently in which I was nearly buried under a lot of misinformation and misperceptions about me. I responded to this with documentation refuting some of the claims, and then was soon laid off, which was a relief given the situation. I also have what seems like a great opportunity lined up that I will start soon, which came essentially immediately.
Council: And we would say to go into this new job, not with a fear of having trouble again or misinformation, but to see it as a gift that the universe has sent you. And you will work with very nice people, and you will love your job. Start that thought immediately. See it and feel it.
Anonymous: I was wondering if you had any clarity or insight into this situation as to if or why I might have planned this? Thank you.
Council: It’s an old past life where you had troubles, were very misunderstood, and you were not in a great household. Part of it (we see here), there was a lot of learning. Some things you weren’t interested in, and you seemed to get into a lot of trouble because you wanted something else, and in that particular life you were supposed to just be grateful for what you had. So it’s the tail end of healing this.
So it should not be hard for you to put an end to that lesson by starting off going into this new place very excited, very happy, that you have met the right people, the right job, and you will be very happy. Do not start thinking: suppose this happens like the last job, or I’m afraid to say this, or I’m afraid to say that. If you do, you will bring that lesson with you. You need to go in there with positive, wonderful, happy thoughts.
We are sending you all love and light. That is very much needed right now. Many, many people are having old, old issues coming up, old problems that many of you are trying to heal before you go forward into a new life and better experiences. So we say meditate. Meditate, meditate, meditate.

Should I Move To My Parent’s Empty Apartment In Another City And Look For A New Job?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Gašper.
Gašper: Hi, Bob, Cynthia, and The Council. I hope that I’m not burdening you with too many questions. My decision-making is quite slow, and so I ask for your help.
Council: (Laughing) We don’t know what burdening is.
Gašper: If you have the time, I’d like to ask a couple questions regarding my career. My current job is very demanding and boring, but well-paying. The thing is, my parents are offering me their apartment rent-free in a bigger city where I could get a lower-paying job, but it might be more interesting and less demanding, at least for a while.
Council: Yes, and you need that right now. You need that so that if it’s less demanding, you’ll have more time. And what you need is more time to learn more things that you find interesting.
Gašper: But I would mostly lose my current social circle whose company I now very much enjoy. Does The Council see a brighter future for me if I relocate to this bigger city?
Council: Yes, we do. And there is always a way to stay in touch with people. And you may find after a while that it’s no longer needed because you’ll be in another social circle. But we would say this is a gift, being able to move somewhere else. And even though people (we see) are so interested in money, that’s not the answer. The answer is to have a job that makes you happy, to have time to read, watch videos, take classes, and learn something else that will put you on a completely different path.
Gašper: I like to read books about afterlife hypnotherapy.
Council: Oh, wonderful.
Gašper: And I’m considering taking on expensive courses on this subject, and maybe start my own hypnotherapy counseling in the future.
Council: Ah, wonderful.
Gašper: Now this would not be boring for me. Does The Council see any good outcomes if I take such a career turn?
Council: Definitely. And we’d say to add to this, learn about past life regression, learn about how to do hypnotherapy for past lives, life between lives, and read everything you can get your hands on on this subject. It will take you into a very successful career. More and more people are looking for this, and they need this. So it’s very wise for you to go in that direction.
Gašper: I guess the answer would be to take the rent-free job where I could gather enough energy to take the hypnotherapy courses.
Council: There, you see, you had the answer all ready.
Gašper: Sending you lots of love and light, Gašper.
Council: Oh, and we send you lots of love and light. And we will be watching you. We’ll be watching you expand, you will grow, you will learn, and you will find much happiness.

Finding Your Path to Career Fulfillment and Abundance
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Firefly.
Firefly: Hi. I would like some insight into my career, and my ability to create abundance. I appreciate my job in many ways and think I can grow with this company, but sometimes I long for something else. I just keep my eyes and ears open for another opportunity, or something more exciting and interesting.
Council: We would say that longing for something else is the first clue that you are getting ready to create something for yourself. But we would say when this feeling continues, and when you get that longing for something else, make the time and sit ten minutes a day, more if possible, and just acknowledge this feeling. And just talk to yourself.
“Yes, I do see I’m wanting a change. I understand this feeling. Now I need to know what it is. Can you show me what it is? Give me some ideas. Let me hear something. Let me see something that will put me on the right track.” The idea here is for you to find the answer, for you to open up and connect with your higher self, and to know that no matter what it is, you can ask and get the answer.
Firefly: Also, I’ve had an unusual amount of strange things happen in the last few months that have cost me much more money than usual. I feel like maybe there was something karmic going on. I’ve done my best to ponder the lessons. Was this karmic activity?
Council: And that will go on until you do the work of connecting with your higher self and asking not why this is happening, but show me the way. What is it that I planned to do? And that will change things. We would say this is not so much karmic, but it’s just a slight way of giving you an idea that what you’re doing isn’t satisfying you. Perhaps it’s not giving you enough abundance. And so it’s all to help you look somewhere else for something else. So being not satisfied, the lesson continues and gets stronger to show you that now is the time to look for something else, because now it’s affecting your finances.
Firefly: Am I coming up on a shift in my relationship to abundance?
Council: Definitely. We would say definitely. You’re on the path there.
Firefly: Where can I place my focus in order to manifest what I want?
Council: First keep asking: “What is it. I need a sign. I need a hint. I’m ready now to receive it.” When you keep doing that, that puts out to the universe, or clicks into your higher self which says, “Okay, we can show her because she’s ready.”
So we would say to do that first, and then just play in your head with doing other things, even if it’s things you don’t really want to do, but see yourself doing other things. And whatever it is that you’re doing, you’re smiling, and you’re happy. Like a child could one day be playing house and being a mommy, and then the next day it could be pretending to be an astronaut. Keep doing that. And when you hit on the right path, the right way, you will know. So focus and play.
Firefly: Does The Council know of a practice that helps with this?
Council: The practice of meditation, and the practice of aligning chakras so the correct energy comes in so that you get your answers. But if nothing else, if you’re not able to meditate or focus on anything, sit. Sit quietly and just constantly ask for clues and help will come. So just focus on: “I’m ready for the answer. I’m ready now to accept this new life that I want. I am ready to receive abundance. I am ready to receive excitement, and happiness in a new career.” And then just see what comes, but constantly focus. Just sit quietly in a chair and say, I’m ready.
Firefly: Thank you so much for your response.
Council: And so we send you great love, happiness, understanding, hope, and kindness for the New Year that you are now going through in your reality. Ask for enlightenment when you pray, or when you meditate. Ask for understanding. But always ask to be connected to the love and the light in your heart, and that on a daily basis you can send it out and show people this love, this light, a kind word, a smile, and understanding, even if you don’t understand.
Just being supportive, that will help you grow. And as you grow, the person you affect grows also. It’s a wonderful thing that we are here to help each other, and that will continue in larger and larger areas of our lives. And so remember, to be of service, find the love you have for yourself and then share it with others.

What Was My Career Plan For This Lifetime?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Tam.
Tam: Greetings to Bob, Cynthia, and The Council. I’m curious about my career path because I’m in my early 20s. I’ve always envisioned myself being internet famous with a YouTube channel. What was my plan for this lifetime regarding my career?
Council: You wanted to be very creative. You wanted to use your hands to create something that people would like to see. You wanted to be successful. You are on the path to find out how to do this.
Tam: What steps should I take at this moment?
Council: Well – and you may not understand this right away – but we suggest that you learn about past life regression, and near-death experiences, and you learn about helping others feel this, and see this, and understand it. You want to tell the story.
How you wanted to do it was to draw certain pictures, and perhaps create an animation to show it. So we would say #1, learn about past life regression and how someone can regress themselves. And in the steps you can teach the people, you see steps going down. And you number the steps, and there are certain colors. And when you get to the bottom a door opens, and what is it that you see? So you would draw this. With animation you would create the stairs, the colors changing, and the numbers changing so that people, when they learn how to regress themselves, will know how to do it because you will show it in a video or in an animation.
When you learn about near-death experiences, if someone tells you they’ve had one and this is what happened to them, you can create those pictures with animation. And that is a big job that will be very, very successful. So we would say, in the beginning, start slowly.
Also helping people see in which way their life is going. What do you see so far? So do you see them riding a bike and going down a highway near an ocean? You create the picture. What you see for them, you create the picture, and it helps them to understand more. And this will be very, very exciting.
Tam: What should I try and be good at? I’m studying design at university, and I do enjoy making 3D environmental art.
Council: Perfect.
Tam: I plan to turn these into animations or short videos…
Council: Yes.
Tam: …but I can’t quite see the next step yet, as I’m not sure what content I should put into these videos besides just showing the pretty art.
Council: Well you will learn about regression, and you will learn how to do it. You will draw it, you will make the video, and it will take off from there. You will get more ideas about what to show, how to show it, and people will love this, to connect to their past, and to connect to their future. So you will offer something that’s not being offered right now.
Tam: I also love doing tarot readings for other people and had a small business before, but haven’t been able to make a stable income. In the future I want to develop a website and provide my service up there to connect with people more internationally like Bob and Cynthia.
Council: Oh, this is wonderful. So you use the tarot to get information, and then you draw it. And you would say, “Well, how?” It will come to you, but people will be so happy, not just to get a recording with words, but to get pictures to make it clearer for them.
So you are on the right path. It is a huge dream, and it is possible. Believe in it and you will create it.
Tam: I’ve always dreamed of combining these two interests of mine together and make money out of it.
Council: Exactly.
Tam: Being able to be creative, but also able to guide and help people. I’ve been making small progress over the last few years, and I’ve learned a lot of new things, but haven’t been able to put the small details into the big picture yet regarding my career path.
Could you give me some guidance, as I’ve been envisioning this fame since I was a kid? Even back before YouTube had existed, I was already dreaming of making videos to post online. I feel like I’m so much nearer to this dream now, but it is still not clear yet.
Council: Well we have given you some ideas for you to play with and practice, and the rest will come because it will feel good. And when you are doing something that feels good, more and more ideas will come.
Tam: I will graduate at the end of this year, but I don’t feel comfortable with the thought of working at a 9 to 5 job…
Council: You will create and work for yourself. That is what was planned. That’s what you wanted.
Tam: …as I am a very sensitive person. I’d like to find a way to work for myself, work from home remotely, and could still be financially stable. Does The Council see me creating this in the near future?
Council: Yes, we see that, but only you can make it happen. You need to practice. See it the way you want it to develop. But we have given you some ideas in which direction to take this. And when you move in this direction, you will see the success that you wanted, coming.
And so we send you all love, and happiness, and excitement that moving along on your path, and all good things, all creation that comes to you, will come from higher energy and a higher vibration. And everything you wish to have will be created by you, and only you.

How Can I Incarnate On Sirius With My Family Next Lifetime, And Make This My Last Incarnation On Earth?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Seeker.
Seeker: Hello Bob, Cynthia, and The Council. Thanks for the amazing work you guys do for people like me.
I want to ask a question related to my star system origin, which is Sirius. I would like this incarnation to be my last incarnation on Earth, and I would like to go back to my roots and incarnate in Sirius. I would also like my closest four family members – my mother, my father, my husband, and my child – to incarnate with me in Sirius.
Council: Well we have to say here that you being in this reality, and being in the human body wanting to go back to Sirius, and wanting this to be your last incarnation… We promise you, when you are no longer in this body, and you are somewhere else, or you are off resting, or helping someone by being a spirit, you will want to come back. You will want to come back to another life that you created.
Well you’re not going to go back and sit on a cloud, or sit around and just relax in a beautiful country setting. You are going to go back for a while, you are going to review (only if you wish) what you lived in this life, and how you would have done it better. And then when you are ready, you are going to want to jump in again. That is who spirit is. There is forever, there is growing, and there is resting.
You can rest for a thousand years and stay on Sirius. We will tell you that you will not want to do that. It sounds wonderful now, but you can stay there as long as you want, and you will choose to come back, whether in this reality on the planet Earth, or in another reality in another dimension. There is always so much going on, and you will want to be part of it.
As far as your family incarnating with you is concerned, you can’t make them do that. That is their decision if they want to incarnate, or go in different directions. We usually travel with the same souls. We are in a soul group or soul family, but that doesn’t mean they are going to want to go where you are at one particular time. There may be other things that they want to experience.
And so you love them and accept them, but of course, eventually you will all be together again.
Seeker: Can The Council please guide me if it’s possible for my family to incarnate with me in Sirius?
Council: If they want to. It’s always their choice, not your choice, their choice. And you may speak to them in spirit, and they may say, “Fine, let’s do it again.”
Seeker: If so, what are the steps we should follow to only be on Sirius going forward?
Council: In this reality you can use your imagination to think what it would be like back there, and to have the intention you want to be there. See what it’s like, the way you want it to be, but feel it as if it’s familiar, as if you’ve done it before.
And so you can set that up. But we can tell you that it will make you feel good here that you are setting it up, and yes you are. But when you get back in spirit, if you’re still going to want that, you’ll create it. But you may not want that when you are in spirit, but you can have comfort that you want to go back to Sirius, and you want to go home, and you want your family to be there.
Talk to their spirits at night. In your mind, talk to them and say, “This is what I want. This is what I want my next life to be like.” Is there an interest? Have a reason you want to be with them. Have a lesson that you want to learn, or a challenge, or how you want to be helpful. And as these discussions go on, you will all set it up when, and where, and how it can happen.
Seeker: I would also like to take some guidance in finding a job. Can The Council please guide me on how I can manifest a job in the Federal sector as a remote position?
Council: We would say for you, any Federal position that has to do with research of any kind, apply there.

How Do I Create What I Desire?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Lindsay. It’s a little different than most of our posts because it describes a half-hour private telephone session that Lindsay scheduled with us to talk with The Council. We thought the information offered to Lindsay in this session would be useful to all the readers of this blog, and she has graciously permitted us to post it. Thank you so much, Lindsay, for allowing us to make the contents of your session public.
Our apologies for the quality of this recording. Some sections of this session didn’t make it onto the recording. We’ll try to do better in the future.
Council: Hi, how may we help you?
My Body Is Very Itchy
Lindsay: Well I have quite a variety of questions today. One of them is about itching. My body is very itchy, and it has been for probably the last 10 years, I get rashes all over, and I was just at the dermatologist’s office a couple of days ago. I’ve tried to find different solutions and nothing has quite worked, so I know it’s probably something inside, something energetic.
Council: (Laughing) We’re laughing here because for the last several months, Cynthia has been going through the same exact thing. And she has gone to allergists who say she has no allergies, and there is absolutely no reason for these rashes and itches. And what did help is that the allergist said when you go to sleep at night, you take a Zyrtec, and in the morning when you wake up you take an Allegra. It helps a little, but not much.
So we have to really say it’s the shift – the energy changing in everyone in this reality right now is causing this. And it’s like the cells in your body are trying to get used to it, and at the same time, it’s pushing up and emptying out stresses that you’ve had, old karma that you’ve had, and it’s just pushing it out, and your body is reacting to it. And when it finally does stop, you will feel lighter, and you will have a better understanding of what goes on in this reality.
But have you found that the itching has become more pronounced now than it was before?
Lindsay: It goes through cycles. So at this very moment, it’s actually a lot less than it has been.
Council: Oh, that’s good.
Color Breathing Exercise
Lindsay: That’s because I read one of your posts from a couple of weeks ago, and you suggested the color breathing because maybe some of the chakras weren’t working properly, but I’d like to do all of them.
Council: Well we would say most of these cases, and really for anything that goes wrong in the body, I don’t know if you’ve heard of the prophet, Edgar Cayce, but he was big on spinal adjustments. Once the body is aligned, it can begin to heal itself. So it’s not something you have to do all the time, but that would help.
Lindsay: Okay.
Council: And we see for you, the fifth and sixth chakra needs help. So that’s the throat, the forehead, and the pineal gland. We would say for now to do the chakra breathing exercise at least once a week. And then, in this reality, drink a lot of water. You can try putting things on your skin, but it’s coming from the inside that’s being pushed out. And this has started slowly, about 20 years ago when this shift began to take place.
So you might find that you feel good, the itching goes away, it comes back, and that’s all it is. It’s that the cells in your body are trying to get used to this new energy. And we’ve told a lot of people, the nervous system, it’s like flicking a switch to turn a light on and off, on and off. Even though this energy is incredible, it’s good, the whole body is saying, “What the heck is going on?” It’s really nothing to worry about. It will pass. But the deeper it goes, more and more stuff will come up. You may remember something. You may get angry at things and at old memories. It’s just pushing it out. And then again, you may remember nothing, but you just sort of feel odd, like, “I don’t feel like myself. What is this?” And that’s what it is.
Lindsay: Yeah. I felt that lately That odd feeling. I just feel lost.
Council: Ah, yes. We hear that a lot. Feeling lost. You don’t belong. What’s going on? Nothing is the same. It’s a big change, and it takes quite a long time to go through it. You’ll go through it as much as your body in this reality can handle, but it’s nothing terrible. And so, in a way, when it happens, if you could tell your body, “This is wonderful. I’m very grateful. Go ahead. Keep healing, keep healing, keep changing, I’m ready.” And those thoughts will help you lessen feeling kind of odd, but everyone is having it. We were laughing that you have the exact same symptoms as Cynthia
Lindsay: (Laughing) Right. That’s so wild. I feel for Cynthia. I know what it’s like to be itchy. Well thank you. I appreciate that answer.
Cutting Out Sugar
When I spoke to you about four years ago you guys told me that I needed to cut out sugar. And it’s really easy for spirit to say that, but it’s so hard. I’m working on it. I’m working on discipline. All the things we’ve talked about over the years. But as far as cutting out sugar, you had said to cut out all sugar, but I wondered about foods like bread and things that turn into sugar, like processed foods. Are those in that category, or not?
Council: Yes, but you cut down on it. If you like pasta, if you like bread, it’s almost impossible to say, “Okay, I won’t have it anymore.” You just cut down on that. And the days that you do have processed foods, it’s very important to drink a lot of water so it moves out of your system.
But are you cutting down on regular sweets? Where are you on this?
Lindsay: I’m doing pretty good. It ebbs and flows. I do really good, and then we have fudge, and that’s amazing, but then I feel kind of wonky the next day, and I know this is probably because I had sugar yesterday. I’m just trying to find a balance where I can be healthy, but sugar is a tough one. It’s everywhere.
Council: And so when you do have the sugar, maybe before it or after it, try and have some protein. That will help take away the response you have to sugar. But when you’re used to having a lot of sugar, it is very difficult, and people get very frustrated, but you do the best you can. And the body – especially since what’s going on now with the energy shift – will get used to it, not right away, but a little at a time. But just know, okay, let me have some protein.
Lindsay: I can do that. That makes sense. I’ve been reading similar things, so I think that’s a good compromise.
Council: A friend of Cynthia’s says – and we can ask you to do it, it hasn’t worked for her, but you can try it – when you see a cookie, or ice cream, or something you want, turn your back on it and wait 10 minutes. After 10 minutes you won’t want it anymore. Your desire will pass. So it might work. People have tried it and it works, but because we’re hanging out in Cynthia’s body, we know it doesn’t work for everyone. (Laughter)
Lindsay: Okay. I appreciate that.
Meditation
As far as meditation is concerned, you said I should do the color breathing about once a week. Sometimes when I do the color breathing, I’m imagining the colors, and some of them in my mind, I can’t get them to behave like I want them to. I imagine the energy flowing down my spine and it gets about halfway and then it disperses. I can’t get it all the way down. I wonder if that’s just my brain. Am I getting distracted? Is there actually some type of energy blockage?
Council: Let’s see what happens with you.
When you do this meditation, do it slower, the breathing with the colors. Now many, many people cannot imagine the shapes and the colors. Some people just don’t have that within them, to be able to picture that. So what we want to tell you is that the body is very, very intelligent. And you will get a better response if you’re getting frustrated with the colors, is just to think – start with the first chakra – okay, there’s a box. And you don’t have to try and see it. You just say to the body, “There’s a box. I’m filling it with red energy. Okay, now I’m breathing it in. I’m breathing it down to the first chakra, then up to my head, and now I’m emptying it out and I’m putting the red energy back in the box. If you just think those steps, it will work. It’s good to keep trying every now and then to see it, but you’re stuck along the way.
[Short break in the recording]
The third chakra of yours is a little blocked. So you try, but there’s nothing to get frustrated about. You just think the words, and it’s the same thing.
Lindsay: Okay. So I would do color breathing once a week. Basically, I’m trying to understand all the different meditations and how often I should be doing them. Because I also want to be listening and quiet, but I also want to do visualizations, you know, and color breathing. So I guess I’m just trying to find a balance between being in meditation and all my worldly responsibilities.
Council: Don’t be so hard on yourself, but every day if at all possible – and this is very, very important – find at least 10 minutes to sit in a chair with your eyes closed and just relax. Sometimes you can picture a color going around you. Sometimes you can just have a feeling. You can say to yourself, “I’m at peace.” What does that feel like? And try to imagine what it feels like. Do you get a picture of walking in a forest or on a beach? But if you get no picture, it’s still okay. Just give it that 10 minutes.
And then some people, and we believe the spirit, Abraham, has said, “Just sit in a chair and find a sound somewhere: cars passing or an air conditioner. Just listen to it. Don’t think of anything. Just listen to it. and then many, many people feel when they meditate that they should have no thought. That’s ridiculous. You will always have thoughts. So what you do is you acknowledge, “Oh, okay. I don’t feel like I’m meditating. I’m thinking of going shopping later.” Okay, that’s fine, but it’s the discipline of you bringing your mind back to the 10 minutes of just relaxing. So that’s good every day.
Are you trying to create something in your life right now?
Creating What You Desire
Lindsay: Yes. My husband and I are trying to create our next steps, what we’re going to do for work basically. We talked to you guys about it several times. You told us what to do, and we’re just so scared. It’s hard, basically, in a nutshell. It’s hard to take that leap. We had talked to you about it before and you said that Cynthia had been in the same position. When the finances are good, it’s very hard to leave. So we want to start our own business and be on our own.
Council: So the easiest way to create – and many people don’t do it this way – that’s why it takes so long. First of all, get an idea of what you want. And it doesn’t have to be perfect, but you have some sort of idea of what you want to do. Now the secret to this is you sit in a chair, you meditate, and you’re thinking about whatever you want. Before you start thinking about how you want it to be – the business that you want – you have to get yourself in a really happy, joyful energy.
So we say before you go to what you want, sit in a chair and come up with a memory that makes you happy, maybe it makes you laugh. And if you can’t find memories, fantasize. You can think of something silly. But when you feel like you can almost sit there with a smile on your face because it feels so good, that’s the time. You get to that point, and now you’re feeling really, really good. Now ask yourself, “What is it that I want to create?” Because that energy of happiness and joy makes what you want, happen much faster. Like if you’re miserable, and you don’t feel good, and you’re meditating, meditating is always good, but you will not create as fast as if you get to the feeling of joy and then start thinking.
And then you can tell yourself – which is important – “I want this, but I may come up with different ideas, and that’s okay. I need to be shown what to do.” They always say they can’t step in and help you unless you ask for it.
So whether you believe in guides, or angels, or whatever, you sit and you think, “Well, I think this is what I want. I could change my mind. I need a sign.” Now when you ask for a sign, you will get it. Every day you ask for a sign, and it will come. But the most important thing for you to remember is, you don’t have to know how it’s going to come. You don’t have to know how you’re going to do it. The universe, God, or whatever you believe in will get it to you. You’re asking for it. You’re saying you’re ready for it. “I need help. Show me, show me, show me.” It will come.
And if you can imagine it, if you get to that happy place and you actually imagine how you think you want it, that’s wonderful, but when you imagine it, stop and say to yourself, “Okay, now I have this new business. What does it feel like?”
So when you imagine and you ask, that’s putting out into the universe what you want. When you can pretend you have it already, and it feels good, that’s the magnet. A lot of people forget the feeling. The feeling is what draws what you want back to you. So the thoughts go out into the universe. You feeling it, pretending like you’re a little child, pretending you’re a cowboy, and you know how kids, they really believe it and they feel it. If you can do that with what you want, that’s your magnet, and that brings it to you.
So you have all the steps now for how to create. And the nice thing is you can change your mind. If you’re creating and then you’re like, nah, that’s not it, this doesn’t feel right, I really don’t want that. Okay, so change your thought. Change what you’re imagining. There’s no right. When you jumped into this reality, you knew one of your best things that came with you was that you have a choice. In everything you have a choice.
So say you want this wonderful job, but it’s making you nervous. You’re afraid. Okay, so you acknowledge it. “I’m afraid of the success. I’m afraid of having it. Suppose I can’t do it.” You just go, “Uh oh. Okay. Look at what I’m doing. Look at what I’m sending out.” Now change the thought. That’s your choice. You acknowledge it. You never try to push it away. Acknowledge it, but then change it. “No. Okay, this is what I want.”
So you know what we teach, and all of the spirits that are coming in now are teaching: there’s fear and there’s love. Do you want to sit in fear and slow up or stop what it is you’re trying to create? Or do you want to love it? Know that you’re a very powerful spirit with choices of where you go. And there’s no wrong decision. If you don’t like it, you change it. It is that simple.
And we tell so many people it’s not easy, but it’s very simple. Just acknowledge what you don’t want and change your thought. But now you have the whole thing. You have chakras, you know to meditate for 10 minutes and just relax. You know, “Okay, I want to create something. Let me get to that happy place first. Once you feel it, bing, you go into it. You imagine it, you create like a little kid. “Oh, I’m really this. I’m an astronaut.” And feel it, and it’s going to come. It’s going to come more easily than you could ever believe.
Lindsay: Well that’s exciting.
Council: So you have a lot to do, but it’s all good.
Lindsay: Yeah. I’m excited. I think I’m ready. I’m more ready maybe than my husband. I don’t know.
Council: You get excited and you tell him, “Oh, this is what I learned. This is how we do it. Let’s do it together. Maybe we’ll find time to meditate in the same room. Maybe not, but you be the teacher. You show the way.
Lindsay: Okay. That sounds good.
I Want To Write
I want to write. I’m ready to start writing. I’m just nervous about how it’s going to go, I guess, but I’ll visualize it.
Council: So what are you nervous about with the writing?
Lindsay: I don’t know. Being successful, or it turning into something. I guess I’m nervous I’m not good enough.
Council: Tell yourself, “I’m writing this just for me. Let’s see what I put out here. I’m interested to see what I’m thinking and how I’m writing it. It’s just for me.” And then that takes the pressure off of you, like it’s got to be good enough, who’s going to read it? Is it going to be successful? This is just for you.
And then you call in spirits. We have taught that your whole life you have a spirit that’s with you – your main spirit. For different parts of your life, other spirits come in, help you, and then leave. So if you want, you can tell your main spirit, “I need help writing.” And it will come in and help you. There is always, always help there, but you have to ask for it. And then that spirit will stay with you for as long as it takes. And then you want to be a dancer. So, okay, I need a spirit to show me how to dance and help me get there. And always say, “It’s just for you.” And that takes all the pressure off.
We Never Tell You What To Work On
Lindsay: Okay. Is there time for one more question?
Council: Okay, Yes.
Lindsay: I just wanted to know if there is anything that my guides or higher self would like me to work on.
Council: Oh, we would never tell you what to work on. Never, never, never. That’s like when we sometimes get questions like, should I marry this person? Should I leave this job? We will never, ever tell you what to do because the choice is yours. So think about everything you want. Just do what feels good.
Like right now you’re talking about the writing. Sit down and do it. Start it. And if you have the idea, well maybe I should be doing this, but when you think of it, it’s not a comfortable feeling, then forget it because it’s not coming from your higher self. Your higher self will give you all the ideas you need that you thought of before you came into this reality. So wait and think about doing this, think about doing that. If you try it and you don’t like it, nope, that’s not what you want this time. So you’ll always know by how you feel.
You should love what you do, whether it’s playing, or work, or whatever. You should absolutely love it. Once you have to force yourself or drag yourself through it, it’s not going to happen. Just like if you read a book, and you start reading it, and it’s like you’re forcing yourself to finish it. That’s a waste of time. Your whole self is telling you, “I don’t like this.” So you shut the book and you get another book. And that’s how simple it is. Pay attention to how you feel. That’s always your higher self talking to you.
Lindsay: I love that. I can do that. That’s an easy thing to check in with myself.
Closing
Bob: This was a remarkable session, Lindsay.
Lindsay: Thank you so much, Bob. I really appreciate it.
Bob: We thank you. Please consider the possibility of us making the recording available to our readers of our blog. It seems like there’s a lot of information that readers can benefit from. You should be very proud of the work that you did here today.
Lindsay: Well thank you. I really appreciate it. And I don’t have to think about it. I would absolutely be okay with you guys sharing this with everyone because I gain so much from other people and what they share, so I’m totally okay with it. But I look forward to listening to the recording, and I hope to chat with you guys again soon.

Is Selling My House A Necessary Step For Me?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Starfish.
Starfish: Hello, Council, Bob, and Cynthia. I am faced with a financially stressful situation. I’ve lost my job due to health conditions, and in the current circumstances, it’s challenging to get a job. I’ve been managing to get a few interviews after months of effort, but I’m unable to get an offer. Due to this, I may have to sell the house I bought two years ago. This house has been a long-standing dream of mine, and I’m very sad that I’m in a position to sell my home.
Due to job market conditions, I’m unsure if I will get a job, and if I will be able to sustain a job in my current health. I’m trying to understand what this situation is trying to teach me spiritually. Despite my best efforts, I keep facing challenges in all different areas of life, and it’s taking a lot for me to continually stay positive.
Council: In a past life we see here an almost similar situation. It was again that more or less a house was taken away from you because you couldn’t pay for the cost of the house. And so you’re bringing this up in your current lifetime to handle it differently than you did before. Before you gave up knowing that there was no way you were going to survive in the cold weather at that time and not having a house. So you just walked away from it, and you had to live with relatives, which you didn’t find a very welcoming situation.
So in your current lifetime we say okay, let’s look at this. What’s happening. It’s almost the same thing. You’re faced with having to sell your house and get a job. You can create work for yourself. You can create keeping your house by looking at this house as a blessing. You must always look at these things with gratitude. And so for you, this house is a dream that came true.
And so you are faced with financial problems. You’re faced with physical conditions that you think can prevent you from working. So when you look at this, do you know if you have heard of people in worse conditions than you and they work. They find a way to survive. It’s the attitude you have that will keep you from bringing in some sort of employment.
So we see the energy that’s around you is fear, and being sure you’re not going to have a new job, and that having interviews and expecting not to get work is holding it back.
So the whole thing has to start with the way you look at it. Be grateful that you have this house. Be grateful that this is a time you can work from home. There are many, many jobs out there that you can fill, but you have to apply and look. When you start to look for positions, know that you can be excited because something is coming to you that you can handle. It all starts with the thought and the feeling.
We do not see what you are creating in your future that you have to sell this house. We would never tell you what to do, but we would say, think before you do this. There are answers that are coming to you when you look at the whole situation differently.
Then look at your health. How is it stopping you? Are you doing everything you can to feel better? The thoughts about how you feel and your health, are they positive? That with rest, with anything that you are being told to do, if you do it, is it going to help? See it helping. Everything you do to feel good, see it helping. You will find your health conditions improve. You will find a position, and you will keep your house. That is what we see is in your vibration, and that is what you are creating. So while that is there for you, you need to take the focus in your present life and put it more in that direction.
Starfish: Can The Council please guide me if selling this house will be a good step for me.
Council: Yes, we do not see that as necessary. That is a move that’s taken out of fear, out of desperation, out of having no hope, and that you must give up your dream. Change that thought. Be so grateful you have this house. Be happy in this house. Look around yourself in this house and love every part of it – the walls, the decorations – anything that is in your house, look at it with love.
Starfish: I’m looking for guidance on how to turn things around financially, healthwise, and family situation-wise. It seems like every time I get something I desire, I lose it in a short time.
Council: Because you have a hopeless way of thinking. You are hopeless in what you are expecting. So that energy is all around you, and thinking like that is what’s making it happen, and will continue to make it happen until you do the work. And it is work because you need the discipline to appreciate everything, to love everything in your life, and to know with excitement, “I don’t know what it is, but there’s some position for me and it’s coming. So I’m ready for it, and it’s coming.” Be happy about it. Everything starts in vibration first, and that is your focus.

Should I Accept A Healing Apprenticeship?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Kaitlin.
Kaitlin: Hi, Bob & Cynthia. It’s been a couple of years since you did a private reading for me. How are you? I have a question for you. In my reading, The Council said that on my path I would find different things I’d be interested in, and I would be a healer. I have found this to be true. I found something that I’m interested in that I want to pursue. I feel a little scared because it would be something I practice on my own, and I don’t know if it would bring a stable income.
Council: Isn’t it wonderful to be scared of something new, and then change your thought about it? “Wow! I’ve created something new for myself.” This will be an adventure. It’s always an adventure – scary at first – when you learn something new. But we will say here, if you enjoy it, do it. Face the fear and do it anyway, and it will bring to you an abundance of whatever it is that you need. So we would say, all spirits set up things that are a little frightening or new to learn. We’re all here to learn, not just to sit around.
So you can be of service to people. We see that would be very good for you. You can become great in the arts. You can become helpful to the less fortunate. Anything that brings you of service and makes you feel good, that’s the way to go. And so whatever it is, if you have to do it alone, you do it alone. but you do it quietly. You don’t have to tell anybody what you’re up to. Just try it and see where it takes you. Once again, one thing will lead to another, to another, to another, and you will have experiences that bring you joy.
Kaitlin: However, that’s not even my question. Besides this healing modality that I want to study, I was recently offered to be an apprentice to become a Pilates teacher after doing just two classes.
Council: Wonderful.
Kaitlin: This feels like something that the universe just handed to me.
Council: It handed it to you because you created it. Nothing that comes to you is not created by you. And so you have an offer of something different. And how does that feel?
Kaitlin: And it would provide a great income. However, there are things that I want to do, like travel on my own this year, and be a bit more free. And I don’t know if I want to commit to a year-long apprenticeship at this time, or even if I am interested in teaching Pilates in the first place.
Council: There is no wrong choice. If you agree to do this, you are making a commitment, and you need to learn to fulfill the commitment. But it’s only a year, and then you have learned things. You have met special people along the way, and you will get some joy from it, and then a year passes quickly, and then you can move on to travel and do other things.
So one will bring you an abundance of money, which will help you eventually get to do all the other things you want to do. So it could make you feel stuck, but then you change it to, this is preparing me, this is helping me get what I need to go on my new adventure of traveling and learning other things. So it’s how you look at it. And then if you feel – thinking about teaching – being still for a year, if that’s so horrible for you to commit to, then you don’t. There is no wrong choice here.
You think of it as being helpful, to prepare you for what you want to do, to get you more money, to get you more experience around people. Or you go straight to traveling around and doing other things. And so the choice, of course, as always is yours. And there is no wrong choice because if you commit to this, after the year you’re off and doing other things you want to do. Isn’t that a wonderful way to experience so many different things within a year or two when you start traveling?
And so we would say, think of it and decide what feels good in your body. What feels good when you think of it? Teaching for a year? “Oh, you’re a teacher.” People will come to you to learn how to do things. You will help people with how to do things they couldn’t do before. You’ll help people to feel good. That’s a wonderful thing. But if that’s not what you do, you will go off and do other things and still be of service. And so when you think of it that way, the choice will be easier for you to make and not so fearful.
Kaitlin: Do you think I’m silly to turn down this offer? And should I accept this opportunity because it was literally handed to me, and it’s a great offer? Or even though it scares me, it’s okay to say no and not commit to it now? I just feel like I’m not sure. even though it’s a wonderful offer. But at the same time, maybe I should take it because it was so easy and just unfolded for me. I can be a bit stubborn, so I’d love your opinion.
Council: First we must tell you, we’ll never tell you what to do. That’s your free will. We would tell you how to think about it, how to prepare for it, and then make a choice and tell you it will feel good when you make the choice. There are no shoulds – you should do this, you should do that. Everything will come around, you’ll be on your path, and you’ll get to where you’re supposed to go.
We’d say, instead of feeling miserable or fearful, and thinking you could be wrong, let that go and start thinking, “Wow, I have a great opportunity. Either way, there’s a great opportunity in front of me, and now let’s see what feels good to me.” So picture yourself teaching. Picture yourself traveling. What is it that you see? And which one feels better? And then you’ll make the choice, but you will get exactly where you want to be.
And so we send you love. And we send everyone happy feelings. Enjoy the day. Enjoy your life. Be grateful. Be happy. Think of things that you have done that brought you joy. Imagine things you can do that bring you joy, and then move forward.

Is There A Specific Career I’m Meant To Do, Or A Place I Should Live?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Mandy.
Mandy: Hi, Bob, Cynthia, and Council. Is there a specific career or job I’m meant to be doing now, or in the future? Is there a specific place I should be living? I’ve been confused on what my next step should be. Thank you so much.
Council: There’s nothing specific that you’re supposed to be doing. You are supposed to live your life, pay attention to what you experience, and create more or less of what it is that you have.
We can say that you’ve had a great talent in writing [in past lives], and if you wanted to play with that, a place where you would find memories and creative ideas would be to take a visit to Germany. And if that’s not possible, then find out where you are. What is it that you love? What would you like to do that just thinking of it makes you smile? That’s your higher self giving you a clue.
So there is no, “What am I supposed to be doing? Am I not doing what I’m supposed to?” You’re supposed to be doing what you discover as you go along your life. What is it that you love? Even if it sounds beyond what you can do, play with it. Play in your imagination and you will create it, or you will create some form of it.
So it’s very important for everyone to not be so hard on themselves. “Am I here doing what I’m supposed to be doing?” The #1 thing you’re supposed to be doing is to live this life and find fun in it. Do little things that make you laugh. Do things that you love, even if it’s something quiet and you collect coins, or toys, or you want to be in a garden and you want to plant. Just go with that. It’s very nice to do it. And you will find more.
But if you want to create and touch something you haven’t done, we would say, by giving you a clue, do some writing. Do some scribbling. Do some drawing, and you will find what it is that you love.
Bob: Would you care to go into more detail about the reason you recommend visiting Germany?
Council: Because there was a past life there, and it was a very good one, a very happy one that this person could write stories. Oh, and in case you’re thinking, it’s not the Grimm brothers. [Laughs] You wrote stories and read them to children, you read them to adults, and you wrote plays. And the talent is there. You’ve brought that talent in with you [into this lifetime]. So you can play with it, and you’ll have some fun.
And so enjoy your creations and learn from what we teach. There’s always a way it will help you. Just asking the questions is showing that you are on another path to expand, to learn how to create, to look at yourself, to show kindness, and to bring in the happiness that we all want. And so we say, have fun with this.

Can I Get A Better Paying Job Than My Last Job, Or Should I Accept An Inferior Job?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Seeker.
Seeker: Hello. I love you, Bob & Cynthia, for your helpful work for the community. I would like to seek career guidance from The Council. My previous work opportunity has ended, and it’s very difficult for me to get an equally good job with a good salary and benefits.
Council: And so the thought should be, now that this job has ended, I have an opportunity to get a better job, more benefits, and more salary. Do you see how you have to change how you think of creating in your future?
Seeker: I have been trying everything in my power to get into a good mental state, remain positive, and reach out and apply for job opportunities. Can The Council please guide me if it’s possible for me to get an equal or better paying job compared to my previous job, or should I accept an inferior job?
Council: This inferior job that you speak of, it will teach you many things. If you’re not creating the dream job that you want, instead of thinking of it as an inferior job, think of it as a job you will do for now and be grateful for it because it will give you the money and the opportunities to survive. And so this job that you think of as inferior helps you get from Point A to Point B, so start by appreciating that.
Then, as you are working in this “inferior job,” you start planning what you want – the people you want to be with. Would you like it to be a job with a lot of people, or just a lot of one-on-one? Describe it to yourself. Write down exactly what you want. You will create it, but the key to creating this is: 1) Have no job, but be okay with it while you’re looking. Or 2), accept a job that you feel is inferior, be thankful for it, and move on from there. It’s that simple. Always remember to be grateful first. All the rest will follow.
And so we send you all love, and wonderful experiences, and clarity, and fun along the way. It’s always supposed to be fun, even in the difficulty. It’s the way you look at it. And know that no matter what, you have the ability to change your life.

Do I Have ADHD?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Starfish.
Starfish: I have been having a lot of health-related issues: anxiety, stress, a pulmonary disorder, and asthma. I think I may have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) which is making the situation worse. Can The Council please guide me if I indeed have ADHD? I have been going to a therapist for sessions to control my anxiety.
Council: The anxiety comes from situations and people around you. So we would say at this point in your life, it seems that a change would be very good for you when you are ready. Find the people to put yourself in a different position, a different environment, almost with the thought of starting life all over again.
The anxiety comes from some past life where you’d like to handle it differently this time and learn how to deal with it. We would say for you, at this point, it would be wonderful to meditate, even if it’s for five minutes a day. For many people it is difficult to sit still and concentrate. And we’d say you don’t need to concentrate. All you need to do is sit and listen to a sound, or imagine something, but not to think of everyday situations or everyday problems. Just to sit and relax.
Starfish: The other situation is my reduced lung capacity. It’s currently reduced and operating at only 70%.
Council: Now what is needed here, along with the chakra breathing to align your energy in your chest and in the back, it would be wonderful for you, when you can, to get close to, if possible, the ocean, and to sit and just breathe that air in. Also walking in nature, walking and taking deep breaths to learn how to breathe from your diaphragm, in and out from that part of the body and not just from the chest. That would help to improve your lung capacity along with the meditation and the chakra breathing. In time, things will sort of align themselves and help you, and that will help with the anxiety.
Starfish: Can The Council please guide me if I should continue to work in the software engineering field with these health limitations?
Council: We’d say it would be good to be able to delegate work and teach others. If you can apply for a position teaching and explaining at a beginner level, it would help your whole emotional feeling and physical being.
Starfish: If I should continue in software engineering, should I go for an individual contributor kind of role, or a leadership role? I’m truly confused about what to do in my career going forward.
Council: We would say in time, not at the moment, going into a leadership position would be great. As we have said, teaching would be good. And then eventually, when that is going well for you, you can apply at other places where you can teach, but in a position where you move around. And the movement, meeting other people and being out, and not just in the office constantly, will help you immensely.
Starfish: I need to be able to continue to do my job, but I’m not able to compromise on health, as I have faced an extremely challenging time in the last year. Please guide me. Love and light, Starfish.
Council: If you follow these instructions, you will see your life will begin to change. Things will become more to your liking, they’ll become easier, your health will feel better, and your emotions will feel better.
And so think also, when you’re not working, is there something else you’d like to do? Is there a craft or a hobby? If you like to read, we would suggest finding books and articles to read that make you feel good. And so, doing different things will change how you are handling things now.

Why Did I Marry An Alcoholic And Suffer So Much?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Stella.
Stella: Hello. I’d like to ask The Council the reason for my having married an alcoholic and going through such suffering.
Council: First, look at this. Did you know he was an alcoholic before you married? And if you did know, why did you marry him? Take a look at this. Always look at your behavior. What are you feeling? Did you think it wasn’t that bad and you could change him? What we’re learning now is just to be. Just allow anyone to be whoever they are and just go with it.
More and more people would experience what they consider really weird relationships and really weird experiences going on with their lives. How do I handle it? Where did this come from? I feel crazy. I don’t know how to get things going.
And it’s part of the lesson your whole reality wants to learn right now because there is such chaos, and there’s so much that people will feel they can’t create anything. People will feel, “I have no hope. What is going on with this world? What is happening?” And many people will get very angry. Many people will get very frightened.
And through this all the spirits here are teaching: Just be. Just allow. Whatever is going on, just allow it and watch it. And when you watch that person, send them love. Send them light. Send them good thoughts. And just by flowing with it, just by going with it and not being in a crazed place where you must change it, by flowing and just using your thoughts you will see and come to understand I cannot control this person.
I cannot control what’s going on in the world, but I will have faith in God and in the universe. I’ll work with light and send it all over this planet. I will send light anywhere where I hear there’s a problem. And I will just wait. I will just watch it. And by allowing and holding the light, you begin to change your world.
Stella: Also, what career will help me financially because my husband is a full-fledged alcoholic and can’t be relied upon to bring an income from good sources.
Council: Well you have had, in past lives and careers, where you wrote. You’re very good at writing, and you did bring it in with you so that you could do it if you wanted to. But we would say now, for you, it would be one of these jobs where you can get out of the house three times a week so you could experience things. And then the other two days a week you would work in the house so you would get an example of both, both areas of your life. What goes on for you when you’re out, and what goes on for you when you’re in. And the experience will give you an idea more of what you’d like to do.
But we would see that you don’t need to be around large groups of people. A quiet job is good for you. It gives you time to reflect on what is going on around you. And so any office work, any work with figures or with writing would help you, and it would also give you more confidence. It’s something you can do.
Stella: I did have some past life sessions, but somehow I see nothing.
Council: And so if you see nothing, that means you really don’t need to know anything from your past lives. And as we teach now, we’re all saying, “Okay, forget that. Don’t be wasting your time on past lives. Take your time and create it now. Create the life you want in the future.
Do you say kind words to people? That will show up in your future. Are you helpful to people? That will show up. Your future life, by the kindness you show, the words you speak, by the fun you have, will show up in your future. And that’s why it’s so important now.
It’s fun to learn about your past, but let it go and work now on your future. And at some time in the future, everyone will be able to do this. Everyone will be able to create a better life. And so start now.
Stella: Thank you so much in advance for all your answers I’m so desperately waiting for. Regards, Stella.
Council: And so we would say, don’t think you are desperately waiting for answers. You have the answers, and now you have some ideas on how to bring them forward.
Blessings to all, and have fun with your creations.

How Can I Get Into The Field Of Space Travel?
This post answers follow-up questions for The Council from a reader named, Pursuing Dreams, regarding our earlier post, Will This New Course Help My Career And To Start My Own Company?
Dreams: I have a follow-up question if you can please discuss this with The Council. The Council suggested space travel and I need to understand how to get into that field.
Council: First we’d like to say that in several past lives you were always interested in looking at the stars, staring at the Moon, wondering if there was other life in the universe, and there was always that wonder how to find out more about these things. In your current lifetime, one of the things – and not that you have to do it – but again one of your interests is space travel, what goes on in space, and what goes on in planets.
So to actually get into a space travel course you’d have to start at a very young age with your physical strength, taking care of your health, your nutrition, and building up your body. But if you weren’t going into space, you still wanted to have something to do with it. And so there are so many different ways you can get into space programs. Number 1, we believe NASA has an application that you can fill out.
Now if you’re not actually flying around in space, there are so many ways you can be involved with the development of space travel. First of all there’s nutrition. If you’re interested in nutrition you can work on programs that would be researching what kind of food and nutrition the space person would need.
There’s maintenance – how the machinery works. There are communication skills. You can actually get into a place where you’re around space travel and what goes on. So if you have skills in communication, you can develop that and get into a space program. It would be very good for you to learn about what’s going on with different planets.
Again, study space. It would be good for you to learn about astro-travel. It would be good to learn about astro-engineering. Anything that has to do with space. But even if you got in, and even if you volunteered somehow, you can get into what goes on all around space travel. So it doesn’t mean you have to actually get in a rocket and go flying off.
One of your wishes in this lifetime was to be involved with space in some way. You would need some college background, at least two years. And the more you can find out on your own about what’s needed in these different programs, the better. One thing they need is great information technology people. If you’re good with a computer you can get into programs that need good IT skills.
And so there are so many ways that you can get into a field involving space travel if you’re still into it. They need managers and they need people to put together information. And so any way at all, if you want to get into a field related to space, you can find a course that will give you the skills that are needed. And so it would be that simple if it’s still the area you want to go into.
Dreams: The course I had in mind was management-related…
Council: Excellent.
Dreams: …since that was advised earlier. I can do remote education since I’m not in a position to leave my job now. Can The Council please suggest if I should do a specific course for space travel? If so, please tell me what kind of course would be beneficial.
Council: Well any of these subjects we’ve just mentioned to you would be a way for you to get in on the bottom rung and work your way around. So take the skills you have now and go on the computer, and there are different places you can sign up to get into a learning program about space. Anything that would bring you into that area. And you will see that a lot of job openings, these applications, you don’t need any experience, but they take what you do know and they put it where they think it would be the most help. And so we’d suggest to just jump in, just try it, see what’s available, what you like, and go for it. And the universe is behind you because it’s something that you want.
Dreams: Or if I should go ahead with certifications in management-related courses and that may open up my next job opportunity in space travel.
Council: Of course, go for the management courses, if that’s what you’re interested in. Yes.
Dreams: Thanks for being amazing and helpful.
Council: Have fun with this and go for it. There’s nothing to lose. Create what you want.
We wish you all a great journey, and to find love on your journey everywhere you can. Show love every day you can. Feel love for yourselves every single day and you’ll begin to change your life.

You Pre-Planned To Awaken To Your Psychic Ability From Past Lives
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Jaelyn (mispronounced as Jocelyn by Bob in the audio recording of our session).
Jaelyn: What career field should I look into? I’ve been unemployed for almost six months now and have had some trouble figuring out what will make me happy and fulfilled. Any advice?
Council: The advice is to get the simplest job – if you had to make hamburgers somewhere – and just to know that you are working. It’s part of this particular lifetime where you need to give yourself the time to experience different jobs. But even if it’s the simplest job – if you were to sell oranges on the corner – to be grateful for it, to acknowledge that it’s something you’re doing that makes you happy.
So we don’t say run out and get yourself a heavy-duty job. Just the littlest thing. And even if it’s part-time, the littlest thing that could be fun, that could make you appreciate what it is that you have.
Jaelyn: I’ve felt very low energy and depressed, especially within the last few years. I’ve dealt with it most of my life, but I notice it now more than ever. I’ve been trying to maintain a daily yoga and meditation practice, but sometimes I’m so tired, I can’t get myself out of bed. I’ve asked my spirit guides to help me with this, but I’d like to know if this is just part of my physiology, or is this an attachment of some sort? What should I do to help turn this around?
Council: Well we would say hold onto your hat because when you were planning what you’d like to experience this lifetime, you’ve taken from many of your past lives where you were very psychic. You were an oracle and you knew how to read people’s energies. In your current lifetime you are so tired because many spirits are trying to reach you. And so we would say for fun, get yourself a deck of Tarot cards and play with them. See what comes through. Meditate, meditate, meditate. You wanted to reach and commune with people that had passed on. They are trying to reach you.
And so, when you are not following what it is that you are planning, you’ll feel like you’re not doing what you’re supposed to do. But you are looking in the wrong direction. Get a fun job. Anything at all. Learn about reading crystals, reading Tarot cards, and learn about energy.
And know you must meditate every day, and we say even if it’s for ten minutes to allow yourself to open up to the energy that you’re trying to pull in. So it’s a battle where your higher self is trying to push you in that direction, which maybe you never thought of, but because you were so good at this before, you wanted to do it again because you knew in this time, in this life, things that would be created, people would need someone like you to speak to, to get advice from, or to make them feel good.
And so we’d suggest you read up on different people, on Edgar Cayce, on Sylvia Brown, on others that have done this work. And know that you have done it and it’s your desire to do it again in this lifetime. And so meditation is the key. And we’d also recommend that you do the chakra meditation we’ve talked about in another post. Get those chakras working, and know that if you concentrate on allowing spirits to reach you by doing your part, by sitting, meditating, and giving these spirits and yourself the time, it will happen and you’ll find a big difference in your life.
Jaelyn: Recently I’ve had a strong desire to know about my past lives and ancestors.
Council: Ah, it’s the ancestors that are trying to reach you.
Jaelyn: I feel like there’s this connection that I want to make, but it’s blocked.
Council: Ah, yes, and who do you think is blocking it? You’re not taking the steps to reach your ancestors and to have them be able to reach you, and that’s what you’re going through at this time. How wonderful that you’re having this problem. Now that you have some answers you can head in the right direction.
Jaelyn: Can you tell me anything about my past lives and my significance in this present life?
Council: Your significance is to be here, to bring spirit forward, to help yourself, to help spirit, and to help others who need information from spirit. It’s a wonderful, wonderful path that you’ve chosen to go on. And so we would say to start the meditations.
Jaelyn: I have this strong longing to know about myself and my purpose.
Council: There you are.
Jaelyn: Thank you so much. I’m so grateful for your time and your insight.
Council: Oh, have fun with this. You will be amazed.
And so we’ve enjoyed this again. And we send you all blessings, and love, and happiness. And enjoy what you’ve created. And if you don’t like what you’ve created, then change it. Change it with your thoughts and how you think.
You are a great spirit that’s here to learn many different things. And you’ve all created this time to come in knowing it would be difficult, knowing there would be a lot of chaos, but you came in to hold the beautiful light, to love no matter what, and you will see your lives change.

Why Has It Been Two Years Since My Last Paying Job?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, UsWeAreLegends.
UsWeAreLegends: I’ve been trying, trying, and trying to make my career work. I just don’t know what to do any more. It’s been two years since I last earned money. Can you give me any insights on what can be done?
Council: Well, when you say trying and trying, the energy that comes from these words is very stressful. So we’d say, right now instead of trying and trying, just try to relax and try to find something that holds your interest. Not where you have to fit in, or you have to do this or you have to do that to make money.
In past lives you did create a lot of paintings, you created sculptures, and you created jewelry for people to wear. And so right now we’d say forget about the pressure and find something you can create with your hands, with colors, with shapes, and see how that makes you feel.
The feeling is what’s going to bring the right kind of work for you, but you must be in the vibration of love. And so while you’re doing that your energy will change. What you attract to you will change so there will then come something into your life that will pay you a salary, but it will be something you enjoy, and something that you wouldn’t feel stressful doing.
And so we say for you to grow, search yourself. Search how you feel when you create something which you consider funny, something beautiful, or something that makes you smile. If it was poetry, if it was a story, if it was something that you made with your hands, go into the vibration of creating and just enjoy it. And while you do that, the career, or what you want to be paid for, will come to you.
UsWeAreLegends: I have one other question. I want to know my understanding of basic laws through the eyes of spirit, as in how far have I come to understand it, and what can be improved or corrected?
Council: So now we’d like to explain to you that you are aware of all the basic laws of spirit. You’re aware of who you truly are. And what you do from lifetime to lifetime is to create a situation that you go through, whether it’s funny and a happy life, or a life with challenges. And what you do is, each life knowing yourself, what you create is different.
So in some lives you’ll proceed and you’ll learn more, and you’ll bring in more love and more knowledge. In other lives what you create could be a challenge, and it could be difficult for you to remember what you call the basic laws. And you go off the path, or you experience something where, in your human condition you would think makes you backwards. And then in the next life you can create something where you are spiritually intuned and aware of all the things that you know as spirit.
Each life is different, but you are intuned and you are exactly where you want to be. And you know all the basic laws and you know how to use them. And as you create your life, you’ll bring into your experience things that will allow you to use these laws and to grow from it, or to meet a challenge and not to remember how to go through it, and grow from that also. Each life is different.
Bob: Is there anything in UsWeAreLegends particular lifetime that can be improved or corrected?
Council: Find more things to be grateful for. We see that’s lacking here. The more and more you are grateful for the littlest things, day by day, that you can look at and say, I’m happy about that. Or isn’t that beautiful. Or I never saw this this way. Oh, I understand this. That changes your vibration, and that will bring you forward more and more into the vibration you want. That will bring you the kind of love that you want, the kind of life that you want, and the kind of success that you want.
We thank you and we send you all love, and blessings, and happiness, and wonderful, wonderful uplifting thoughts. And think of being in the light, and in love, and in spreading it out everywhere you go.

Can I Earn A Living Doing Alternative Healing Therapies?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Bluestar Child.
Bluestar: I wrote to The Council a few months ago about career guidance and The Council recommended that I work with children. I’ve been thinking about it and I have to admit that I’m actually quite attracted to the alternative therapies, but I have never considered dedicating myself to it professionally because I’m afraid of: 1) Not being worth enough to carry out this work professionally.
Council: That immediately will cause a block into your manifesting it.
Bluestar: 2) That others will reject me, or see me as a weirdo if I dedicate myself to these topics openly.
Council: And there’s the second block.
Bluestar: And 3) Not being able to earn a living financially doing this activity.
Council: (Laughing) The third block.
And so you need to forget about these blocks. Get them out of the way. Of course you can make money at this. And you know if people did think you were crazy, so what. There are many, many wonderful people in all parts of life, with all kinds of careers, and people think they’re nuts. What do you think? What do you feel in your heart would give you pleasure?
Working with other healing modalities is a great way for you to develop more positive opinions about yourself. When you do practice other healing modalities and you see that it helps yourself and others, you will slowly begin to see that there’s something to this.
And so forget everybody else. We ask you to stop doubting, and to look more positively that this is a new adventure, that you had planned to do things like this because you’ve done them before, and you want to have the joy of doing them again. The right people will seek you out when you begin to feel better about yourself.
Bluestar: The Council has told me that I have already been a healer in several lifetimes. I’d like to know if I decided on a healing path in the end instead of working with children, or doing both at the same time, and already having a Reiki Master’s degree and an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping course, what therapies do you advise that I should train for to be able to better help others people according to my abilities?
And so we think with your Reiki degree and your EFT training that it would be good for you to start using it on yourself and on others. When you get joy from this, then there are so many other techniques. You can learn hands-on healing, you can learn Hawain techniques of healing, you can learn Rolfing, you can learn massage, and you can learn how to work with crystals and oils to help increase what you’re doing. Any sort of body technique would be good.
If you care to go deeper into it, acupuncture would be great, acupressure if you don’t like the thought of needles, and many people don’t. These are things that you should be looking into, reading about, perhaps getting sessions on yourself and seeing how it feels. When you begin to see an improvement in yourself, then you’ll have the interest to perhaps take another course.
We’d also say it would be good for you to learn about people’s emotions so you can speak to the people when they come to you and find out what’s going on. You can learn color breathing. There is so much out there. But we say take what you know now and begin to use it, and begin to charge money for that service. When that comes in, that will give you the power to seek more out. And so there’s no need to charge crazy amounts of money. Even if you started with donations, we’d like you to see that you have the ability to do this, to earn a living from it, and to move on and learn more. That is your path.
Bob: Do you have any comment on your guidance from a previous session that Bluestar Child work with children?
Council: All of this can be done with children, and it will.
Bluestar: All the guidance I received has helped me a lot. And I’ve also been practicing the meditations that you have given and they’ve gone well for me.
Council: Wonderful.
Bluestar: Thank you very much.
Council: Wonderful, wonderful questions. This has been such a joy for us. And we’ll send everybody love and happiness on their journey, and remind everyone to stay with positive thoughts. In your reality, for what is going on, a lot of positive thoughts are needed. And when you tap into this, and more and more of you do this, the whole reality that you exist in right now will change. The course of your world is up to you. It all comes with the right thinking.
You have created your lives with special people in them for a purpose. You have agreed to do things together. And always the agreement was to have happy thoughts, positive thoughts, finding things that don’t work right and have them work right. Help each other, help animals, help the trees, help the ocean. You’re all here together to make this reality better and better. And so we wish you joy.
And remember, coming into this life you came in with the thought of having a joyous time, to find happiness everywhere, and that is your purpose. Have a happy life. Enjoy it. Create fun. Create love. You can all do this.

Did I Miss A Date With Destiny?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Anonymous #3.
Anon #3: I’ve been experimenting with these techniques and I’ve seen how much of my body I’ve ignored in my decision-making processes. It’s been really useful and insightful, so thank you.
Bob: I assume Anonymous #3 is referring to The Council’s meditation techniques.
Anon #3: I had a strange experience connected to this which has thrown up related questions which I thought I’d ask. A couple of months ago I felt compelled, almost moved beyond my control, to apply for a job in another country, as jobs in my sector are scarce.
Council: Your strong sense of doing this lets you know that it comes from your higher self and that it was something you pre-planned in spirit before you were born.
Anon #3: Afterward I decided I didn’t really want this job. What was I thinking? When I was offered an interview, I was full of fear and a feeling I shouldn’t take this job, so I withdrew my application after journaling and finding nothing positive about it.
Council: So you created going further, an interview with someone interested in you. And yet what we see here is that out of fear you didn’t go in the direction of this job. And that, of course, is always your choice.
Anon #3: I don’t really understand what happened, and now I’m afraid I missed a date with destiny. Is this true? Did I?
Council: Never. Whenever there’s something that’s strongly wanted that perhaps you planned for in spirit, you’ll get the opportunity. When you miss it, you miss that particular opportunity. You don’t miss your destiny, or you don’t miss going on the path that you wish to go on. You will have other opportunities. It will come in other ways. It will always take you to where you want to go.
But we’d say to work on fear. What happens if you take a chance and do something very different? Do you go with love, or do you go with fear? If you go with fear, okay, you’re still not ready. Another opportunity will come along. It will always be there. And if, for some reason, you turn down everything that you create that will help you get there, you’ll have an opportunity to do it in another life. So there is no wrong answer.
The answer for you is to learn how to look at things with love instead of fear, to imagine the good that could come out of it, and that you are always protected. Your higher self, which is you, is taking you down this path.
Anon #3: Does the opportunity you’re destined for come around again?
Council: Of course.
Anon #3: Do we ever miss our calling?
Council: No.
Anon #3: And what happens to the soul contracts with the people I missed by not taking this opportunity? Do other people and experiences come in and take their place?
Council: Of course. It’s always planned in spirit. If I do this, what happens? And then a spirit will say, “Then I’ll jump in.” Or we’ll create something different and we’ll make ourselves be there. There are always backup plans. You are never left high and dry.
Anon #3: I also wonder about that strange, being moved to apply for the job, feeling.
Council: That was your higher self. When it comes with such force and you start thinking, “Am I nuts? What am I thinking of this for? Why would I want to do this?” It’s your intuition. It’s your higher self saying, “This is what I wanted. This is what I wanted. Come on. Come on.” And sometimes that feeling is overwhelming, and the choice is yours.
Anon #3: Was that my higher self moving through me, or spirit aligning me to my purpose?
Council: Definitely.
Anon #3: Or was I just wishful thinking and panic applying, as I really need a job?
Council: Wishful thinking doesn’t come with the force of a feeling that says, “I must do this. I don’t know why,” and doubting, and questioning. But the feeling that’s there is more than wishful thinking, and that’s how you know there’s something going on here. This is something I must want and my higher self is guiding me.
Anon #3: Does spirit ever move through us like that…
Bob: …meaning the panic applying for the job…
Anon #3: …and if so, how do we know it’s that and not us or our higher self?
Council: When it’s fear, you’ll feel it in your body. It’s a different feeling. It’s not overwhelming. There’s a lot of doubt and a lot of thinking going on with your brain, why you should or why you shouldn’t do something.
When it’s your higher self, the feeling is there and you know this is something that you need to follow, but it feels good. And you don’t have to know how it’s going to happen, or when, or where. But that feeling, that really overpowering feeling that sometimes you can just giggle about it, like am I crazy? What is this? It’s a good, happy feeling.
Anon #3: Also, I was wondering how I could have been moved to do something that I first changed my mind about and then felt so much fear around.
Council: Because being in the human body and thinking with the human brain, sometimes it’s very difficult to accept that your higher self can come through so strong, and there’s a lot of success and happiness waiting for you, but it’s the doubt and fear that holds you back.
And so you will go through two feelings. It will feel great, then it will feel horrible. What am I thinking? Oh, but imagine if this happened. A lot of going back and forth, but you always go with the feeling that feels good. When you doubt, that’s not your higher self. Your higher self will never take you down that road. Anything coming from your higher self will feel great.
Anon #3: I’d really love to feel clarity around this, so any light that you can shed that will help me move forward in my understanding would be appreciated. Hopefully there are others out there that will also find this information helpful.
Council: So when something comes so strongly and you don’t know whether to believe in if it’s right or if it’s not, and you have those back and forth feelings, just sit. Sit quietly for 10 minutes and think of it and the feeling that came with it. Will it bring you happiness? Is it something you could never imagine happening and that it could be so wonderful? Concentrate on the wonderfulness of it and imagine what it would be like. Play with it and you will bring it forward, and you’ll start feeling better and better about it.
And so the choice is to feel that good feeling. Imagine what it would be like and just take a chance. You can even go on an interview and if you’re still afraid, turn it down. You will get other opportunities.
Have fun on your journeys. Everyone is on their journey. Find the good feeling and continue on that path.

Have I Lived Any Past Lives In Spain?
This post answers questions for The Council from an anonymous reader.
Anonymous: I’ve been coming across a lot of material regarding Spain, even though I have no connection to it in this lifetime. I feel that this is significant and tied to other lifetimes. Is there a past life connection there?
Council: What we see is a past life of you in Spain. You lived a life as what they called, gypsies. And you were so good at performing, and dancing – we believe they called it the Flamenco then – and singing. And you became very, very popular.
And you were part of a nomad tribe that kept moving to different places. But because you were so popular, you were welcomed into the society of people that were wealthy, where in that time they didn’t appreciate gypsies and would usually throw them out of their towns because they thought they were thieves. You were considered different because of your talent. But after many, many years of performing and becoming older, you wound up living in Turkey with your tribe. Your tribe of gypsies moved to Turkey.
And so it was a very happy life for you. And it would be good for you to learn more about it, and read about it, and see if anything strikes a chord. You dressed with beautiful makeup, you wore bright colored clothes, and your performances were outstanding. So we’d say we’re dealing here with a star. (Laughs). So we hope you research this and find out more about it.
And then find out where the gypsies came from. We know before Spain they were in India, and then your particular tribe wound up in Turkey. So that would be a good adventure for you to learn about it and see what strikes a memory? What brings a dream, or something that feels good to you?
What a lovely, lovely question.

What’s My Life Purpose, And How Can I Create A Life of Freedom?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, LDavis1978.
LDavis: What is my purpose in life, and how can I create a life of freedom?
Council: Everyone always wants to know their purpose in life, forgetting that many times in spirit before coming into your reality there is no purpose. You just come in for fun. You just come in to see who you’ll meet, what you’re all experiencing, how you’ll help one another, and just find yourself along the way. You’re not always coming in with a set destination saying, “I must accomplish this and I must accomplish that.” It’s so much easier to come in and say, “Let’s see what I create in that personality, and then let’s see in that personality how I handle it.
LDavis: I live for my family, but feel constrained by corporate life and the nine-to-five grind.
Council: So right there we say what does that tell you? You are feeling constrained by this. And so if it’s not helping you move forward, helping you feel good and find a purpose, then begin to think in your mind what else can I do? “Let me experience something brand new that will make me feel happy, that will make me feel free, and that I will appreciate.” And you send that message out to your higher self and your higher self will direct you.
LDavis: I’d love to have the time and freedom to live my life as I please, yet I also need security and the stability of money to provide a roof and food for my family.
Council: Many people desire a house and a life that’s exactly what they want, and yet subconsciously they believe this isn’t possible. They believe they’re stuck in this kind of job or that kind of job. But for you what would work right now would be to go into a state of appreciation for the job you already have. Appreciate that it allows you to do things for yourself and your family. It’s there giving you financial stability at this time.
But as you appreciate your job and think about how it allows you to do so many different things, also add: “But I’m ready for a change. I’d like more freedom. I’d like more happiness in the job that I’m in so many hours during the week.”
So we’d suggest you start with appreciation that you have this job, that this job makes it possible for you to have a roof over your head, to have food, to do things for your family, and appreciate it and thank it. And now say, “I’d like more. I’d like to change it.”
And as you think those thoughts, the universe will answer that. It will bring you things. And you could have several opportunities come to you, and if it’s not what you like, you can put it out there and not take that job and ask for something else. And the universe will continue to bring you things because you appreciate what you already have.
Appreciate, appreciate, appreciate. Start there and then use your imagination. You can imagine any sort of job you want. Even if you think you’re not capable of getting that job, that you’re not capable of doing it, just play in your mind, what sounds good, what sounds fun? Play like a child would play in their imagination.

What Can I Do To Attract Funding To My Dream Business?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Wendy.
Wendy: I’ve been guided and reassured by The Council a handful of times and it seems I am in question once again. This time it refers to a subject that’s very new to me, which is the subject of creating my dream business. I’ve held onto this vision for 15+ years and it’s finally moving to fruition. Many times in my life I’ve begun something that excited me and quit before ever really getting started, and I’m afraid of repeating that pattern. And I’d like to know if The Council sees this business becoming a reality?
Council: Yes, it is a pattern. And it’s the pattern to stop you from realizing how powerful you are, which many are learning in this reality, and that you can have what you want. And even if you get close there’s always that doubt, that fear that comes up that makes you think your business would fail or you can’t have that.
And that’s just something you need to turn around with your thoughts, with your focus, and acknowledge, yes, I am afraid, yes, I do sometimes think that it will not work, but I know better. I am a spirit. I am the creator in my life. I can have what I want, and this time I will have it because I know how to do it. I know how to have the image. I know how to feel that it’s already mine. And that’s how I’ll do it.
Wendy: I’m well into the process of building this business, and still every day I catch myself turning to distractions, or doing the minimum of what needs to be done.
Council: It’s that same pattern of fear.
Wendy: I’m at the stage where I’m in need of a large sum of money to really make this happen, and I think the fear of not finding the funds is causing me to drag my feet.
Council: And that’s what stops you from finding the funds. You can go the way of finding backers, you can go to a bank, and you can get little loans from those that believe in you. You can start small. You don’t need a huge sum of money in the beginning, but be grateful for whatever you can have and work with that. When you’re grateful and work with what you have, and love what you have, the universe will go out of its way to give you more.
So don’t let the amount of money you need, or things that can get in the way, don’t let that stop you. But acknowledge these fears and these thoughts and turn your situation around. I will get this off the ground. I will find the right people that will help me get this business off the ground. And by knowing that, and seeing it, and feeling it – and we will underline the word, feeling, many times – feel it, feel it like you already have it. Feel it in your heart how happy you are with this business. And that’s how you create.
Wendy: I deeply believe in this business and this path, and I feel its success. Yet I struggle to accept that I’m capable and worthy of doing something so big. I’ve spoken with many logical brain professionals who tend to caution me against that which I seek, specifically financial, and how much I can handle.
Council: No one can tell you what you can handle. You can jump right in there and decide whatever comes along, I will handle it. So these people are playing the role of feeding you with some fear to help you overcome it.
Wendy: I’ve never done anything like this before, and yet I know this is my highest calling.
Council: Excellent.
Wendy: I’d love to ask The Council: How can I shift my mindset, and what I might be able to do to call this business and the needed financing toward me?
Council: Meditate on it. Constantly see it, constantly feel it, and expect something wonderful to happen every day. The answer is coming. This is wonderful. I’m on my way. I have a brand-new business. I’m an entrepreneur. I’m living the life that I want. And that’s how you change it.
Wendy: I’d also like to know if The Council is able to see if I’m meant to take a conventional route or seek out alternative funding.
Council: We’d say try both. And the one you believe in the most is the one that you will create. Try both. Try everything. Any idea that comes into your head, even if it sounds silly or it doesn’t make sense, if the idea comes to you, it’s coming for a reason. And it’s probably coming because you want to try many ways. And then you want to succeed. And be thrilled that you finally succeed, that you found a way with persistence. And that is important for you – with persistence. Without giving up you can make this happen.
Wendy: Any and all guidance is welcome. I thank you for your time and wish you all so well.
Council: We wish you happiness on your path, and the power to do this, and fun. Get in the spirit of fun and excitement, like a little child. I’m going to have this business. I’m going to make it. I don’t have to know how, but it’s coming. It’s there for me. I am the creator.

Should I Go Into Real Estate Or Information Technology?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Mindful Living.
Mindful: I’ve been looking into starting my own business along with the job I already have. Can you please guide me if being a real estate agent will be a good path for me? The other option is to open a business which is information technology related. I’m not sure which way to go. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated here. Thank you.
Council: We see both paths have very good possibilities to work for you. But before you came into this particular reality you were remembering two other lives you had. One was way back in the city of Pompeii in Italy, and you were a builder. And you created many houses that are architecturally just as good as we have now.
Then again for the opposite side of the coin in the early 1800s, you were a farmer. And as a child, you’d ride to different parts of the area with your father and see different farms and different homes. Some were little and some were big. And you always were attracted to them and wanted to see the insides, which of course you didn’t. But you had the idea in your head, always wondering what they look like? How many rooms? How is it decorated?
So you have that desire in you to work again with houses in a different capacity. And so we’d say if you went in that direction you’d find great happiness because it’s something you’ve worked with before, and wondered with before, and you’d have much fun in this field.
Either real estate or information technology would work. There was a desire in this reality to be successful. And so what you pick, you’d put yourself into it wholeheartedly and make it work.
But what we see, what you thought of before coming into this reality and played with these thoughts was to work with building, working with being inside the house, designing, perhaps guiding people on what to do in their new homes. And so we’d say go and play with this.
Bob: Any chance they could combine the information technology career with the real estate career?
Council: There’s a possibility, but we’d say more now, in the beginning, to go with the real estate.

Please Help Me With Some Career Guidance
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Linda.
Linda: I would like to ask The Council if they could guide me regarding my career calling.
When I was a teenager I thought I knew exactly what university to go to and what to study. Unfortunately my plans were disrupted by physical and emotional abuse from my father and stepmother, and my plans to study stopped making sense. I started to feel lost in my life and many things stopped giving me joy.
Council: That feeling of being lost, when you remember that feeling, that was one of the things you wanted to do when you came here. It was to help people that also had problems of feeling lost, whatever their reasons were. That’s part of why you pre-planned this experience of being lost.
Now that you know you pre-planned this, in order to move forward it’s good to review your pre-plan, to go through the memories of feeling lost, what you felt like, and if you wished you had someone help you, what would that look like? This will give you a clue about what you have to learn to move forward in your career.
Linda: My family was always important to me, and losing them caused me great pain and grief.
Council: And so you’ll meet others that lose parts of their family, whether from abuse, or death, or sickness, or moving far away. You’ll find people who are suffering the loss of family.
Linda: Instead of focusing on my career choice, I was looking for answers to my questions. I wanted to know why I went through so much hardship as a child in so many ways.
Council: You went through this to learn from it, to recognize it, and to have such compassion and such understanding when others come to you with that problem.
Linda: Now I know that this experience was a pre-birth agreement I made…
Council: Exactly.
Linda: …and that the purpose in my life is to help people.
Council: Exactly.
Linda: But I still don’t know how to help. Can you please help me and guide me on this?
Council: You can help people by being a friend and listening to what they need to share. And sometimes listening is just having an ear so they feel someone is there for them and you don’t have to jump in with how to fix it. Sometimes helping people is taking classes and getting licenses to run your own business the way you want to help people. And sometimes you can volunteer for abused children or orphans. You can volunteer for the elderly, who will feel very lost because their families have no time for them.
There are many, many ways you can reach out and help. But we’d say, at first, listen to your friends, listen to the people you know, or people you work with. What are they talking about? And without making a big deal about it, say something that will help. Show some compassion. That’s how you begin to help. And you’ll see more and more people will be drawn to you because they’ll feel your energy of wanting to be there for them. And so start slowly and start simply.
Linda: Thinking back on what I really love, I found that I enjoyed finding answers to my challenges. I also enjoy helping children because I feel I can connect well with them. Is the right path for me to become a Child Psychologist?
Council: That’s a wonderful path for you. When you think about it, how do you feel? Does it give you joy? Are you excited to go into this? Are you excited to take on studying and to learn and share it? If you get joy, then this is exactly what’s meant for you.
Linda: And start studying psychology?
Council: Yes.
Linda: If not, is there a profession that’s right for me that I’d find fulfilling and be able to help those who’ve been through something similar to me?
Council: Anything with children, anything with the elderly, whether you went into nursing, whether you went into being a caregiver for many people, or you just took care of one person on an ongoing basis. You need to find places where you’re needed, where people need you.
And when you look around and have it in your mind that you want to help people, all of a sudden doors will open because you’re in line with your intention. Just by thinking, “I want to help, where do I go?” you’re putting that out there and you’ll always be shown the way.
Bob: It sounds like you’re saying that studying Psychology is good for Linda, but it may not be necessary.
Council: Anything that makes you feel good, going back to school and learning Psychology and having a career in this, if it feels good, it’s for you. If you’d rather not go through all that schooling and just work in a nursing home, in a hospital, or in an orphanage, then that’s the way to go.
When you think of each thing to try, stop and see how you feel. Okay, I’m going to study Psychology. How does that feel? Okay, I’m going to work in a nursing home. How does that feel? Okay, I’m going to go volunteer with children in an after-school program. How does that feel? Everything that occurs to you to do, stop, sit with it, how does it feel? See yourself doing these things. How does it feel? And your answer will be right in front of you.
Linda: When I look at the people around me, I feel like they all know what they’re supposed to do in life.
Council: Everyone thinks everyone else knows what to do. Everyone knows what path to be on. Everyone knows how wonderful life is. And of course, everyone is going through their own challenges and their own personal growth. Many people have no idea what they’re supposed to do in life. They take a jump, a leap of faith, and try something. We think this is wonderful, but when you take that jump, before you jump, before you lift your feet off the ground, how does it feel?
Linda: And I’m ashamed that I still don’t know what to do.
Council: It’s wonderful that you don’t know what to do. Because by putting it out there – I don’t know, I need signs, I need a direction – you’ll create many different possibilities. You’re not just honed to one thing. Think about what you’re doing as an adventure. I don’t know what to do, but it’s coming to me. I’ll be shown the way. And of course, you will be.

What Profession Am I Supposed To Pursue?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Bluestar Child.
BC: I’m feeling like I’m in a tunnel and I don’t see the light at the end. I studied to work with immigrants, but there isn’t much work in this field and they don’t pay much for it. So I decided to change my course and study Veterinary Nursing, but after several years I’m stuck and I can’t finish it. I feel disappointed and very tired, and I don’t know whether to leave this path or not. I’d like to know if the real reason for this situation is because this job isn’t truly aligned with my life mission.
Council: So many people in your reality think there’s a mission, or there’s something they have to do, and that’s not true. If you don’t plan in spirit something that you want to do, or express, or learn about, you just come here to be, to have fun, to bump into other spirits that you’ll know. You’ll find things to do that just bring you interest and you learn about. There’s no mission that you must accomplish. You’re just here to be.
And sometimes you’ll try different things and nothing gives you joy. You’d never stay in a career that doesn’t give you joy. If it was pre-planned in spirit and you went to work at whatever it is, you’d find joy in it. If you don’t find joy in it, it wasn’t pre-planned. You don’t come to the Earth path to be miserable. You come here to find wonderful things to do, to recognize each other, to love each other, and spread the love around. That’s why you’re here.
BC: I feel lost. I don’t know if I’ve been wrong about everything. I’d like to know what would be the profession or activities I’m supposed to do, or for which I have more qualities in this incarnation.
Council: Okay, so as we’ve said, there’s no suppose, but because you’ve done it before, you wanted the freedom to have a lot of fun in this life. So you thought, perhaps it would be fun to work with very young children and teach them about life through games, and teach them to be creative.
And so you can study, if you like, how to work with children. You can become a teacher. You can become what we’d call a caretaker and just work for one family, and care for children and teach them. You can learn how to be an assistant in a daycare center. And so the thing was you wanted to teach through joy.
Bob: Do you have any comments on Bluestar Child pursuing the Veterinary Nursing career?
Council: Only pursue that if it gives you joy. You worked with animals in other lifetimes and loved it. Well maybe you don’t love it this time. And so we’d say, what you thought would be fun was to be an adult, but still able to be a child.
BC: I’d also like to know if I could earn enough money in Veterinary Nursing to emancipate myself from my family.
Council: Yes, of course. If you go into this seriously and find joy in it … make sure you find joy in it. When you feel the joy, you’ll get offers of where to work or what to do, and you’ll find a way to create the financial abundance that you want. It will come from loving what you do.
BC: I’m trying to manifest my future work using the Law of Attraction, but I no longer have a clear image of what I want to do, so it’s more difficult for me to do.
Council: And so you can always ask for signs. Let me see something walking down the street, let me see something in a movie, let me hear something. Show me something that would be of interest.
You can even work in a library among books and be the librarian that sits and reads stories to children once a day or twice a week. Anything with children, which is what you wanted, would be fun.

How Can I Support Myself And Find An Inexpensive Apartment?
This post answers questions for The Council from an anonymous reader who’s looking for their advice.
Anon: The past two decades have been difficult. I found it difficult to get work and somewhere to live. I originally wanted to be a musician, and I’ve been trying to teach and write to create a secure foundation from which I could make music my main source of income. But the foundation and the music career never came.
Council: Your interest in music comes from another lifetime. It was something you enjoyed, but you didn’t plan in this lifetime to make music your source of income. It was supposed to be a hobby and something you did on the side that you enjoyed. But somehow, unconsciously, the memories are there of how much you enjoyed it before, and so liking that feeling you stayed with it. This particular lifetime we think music isn’t the path you’re ready to go on at this moment.
Anon: The way my work is done changed after the 2008 financial crisis and I find myself doing an awful lot of unpaid work, applying for jobs, funding, gigs, practicing, self-promoting, and doing the mandatory unpaid work that comes with self-employment.
Council: That’s fine if you enjoy doing unpaid work. If not, what else have you done to provide for yourself? What sort of work have you come up with to support your style of living, to be comfortable with where you are and who you’re with, and a way to enjoy what you’re doing? Have you looked in these other areas?
Anon: Renting has been unstable and I’ve lived in 13 places over the last 20 years. At one point I got ill, was made homeless, and ended up in subsidized housing. I have no family or partner, This has been the most security and stability I’ve ever had and I’ve been so grateful.
Council: Abandonment is part of your lesson. And again we ask you, what are you doing to provide for yourself now, moving around so much and seeing how the music work isn’t supporting you? What are you looking towards?
Anon: It’s been wonderful living here. Sadly the building is being demolished and I’ll get notice to move out soon.
Council: Do you realize you are the creator. Look how you’re creating your life differently from what you desire. Instead of creating going into music, you’re creating that you’re losing places where you live and you’re doing unpaid work. You’re creating it this way to get you to turn towards anything else because it will feed into your having confidence in yourself no matter what you do. This is also part of what you’re trying to learn.
Try anything. You’ll find you enjoy learning something new. You’re creating a way where the music isn’t working for you right now. You must learn to go in another direction. What is it that you love? What is it that would be easy for you to do to support yourself? We ask you to ask yourself these questions.
Anon: I’ve tried to increase my job search to earn enough money to rent an apartment locally like the one I currently live in, but I had to leave one job because I was physically attacked, and I was bullied out of another job.
Council: Again, look at what you’re creating.
Anon: I should be putting in as many job applications as I can to insure my security, but I’m drained and I can’t face doing anymore unpaid work.
Council: Again, look at what you’re creating. You know you should be increasing your job research, but you’re drained. And you’ll stay getting drained until you look in another direction. All the signs are there for you. You’re on Earth to have fun, to create different parts of your life, but you’re holding so tightly onto the subconscious memories you had from a time before where you were able to live by your music.
You wanted to come in and experience joy with your music, but also to learn so much more about yourself. Trust yourself. Try something different. And when you become confident in yourself, more and more things will change for you. Things will become easier for you. And this may lead you back to your music, but first you must find the confidence and let go of the fear of trying to support yourself another way.
Anon: Rents have skyrocketed and I’m scared I’ll have to move away from my treasured local support network I spent my adult life cultivating, and the musicians, music, and culture of the city I’ve grown up in and love so much. These are my lifeline.
Council: Once again, that’s why you’re creating your life in a way where you have to let go of this lifeline to see what else is in store for you and to see what you can create, like new friends, a new career, a new place to live. These are beautiful things that await you if you do the mental work first. What else would you like to do?
See yourself doing it, feeling good, feeling relaxed, and increasing the way you live. Let go of the fear. Let go of what’s old. We see you’re making things end because you want to have a new beginning. How exciting this is.
Anon: I love my home so much and I’m already grieving its loss. I’m scared I won’t find something this wonderful, secure, and affordable in this location where I can live on my own.
Council: Did it ever occur to you that you may not have to be in your current location, and that you’re creating your life in such a way that you’ll find a new location?
Anon: I’d love to hear your advice.
Council: Meditate. See what you want. Visualize it. Forget creating with the music for now. You’ll have it later on. See what else you’re capable of doing.
Anon: How can I break out of this cycle?
Council: Meditate. Visualize. Pretend. Find joy in doing anything else. Be like a young child that has dreams of becoming a cowboy, or a bull fighter, or anything else. Play with it and you’ll bring something new into your life.
Anon: Can spirit show me what’s next for me in terms of where I’ll be living?
Council: We can’t show you what you’re going to create. It’s all up to you. We’ll see it when you see it.
Anon: How do I find something as wonderful as where I am? How can I stay in my home town without sharing a flat? I’m in my forties now and I don’t think I can do that anymore.
Council: Look for other employment. Start there.
Anon: With the persistent employment and income insecurity taking its toll, I’ve also lost my love of practicing and writing music.
Council: There you go. You’re creating it and you’re seeing it. It’s wonderful that you’re seeing that you lost your love for music. You’re exactly on the path you wish to be on. There’s nothing to be upset about.
What you need to do is flow with your situation. There’s something else. What is it? Call it to yourself. Pretend. Visualize you can do this and you’ll create more joy in your life. You’ll create a career. You’ll create a partner. You’ll create somewhere wonderful to live. See it. See all these things and you’ll find yourself moving closer and closer to that path.
Anon: And I’d love to know how I can get the music back.
Council: Find yourself first. Try something different. Try many different things and your love of music will return. But don’t be afraid to go in different directions.

What Can You Tell Me About The Job I Just Quit And Future Job Prospects?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Vibrationally Aware, who’s looking for insight about a job she just quit and her future prospects.
Vibrationally Aware (VA): I was offered a job in 2021 by a friend and client. I worked there for over a year and the owner was exceptionally abusive. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and quit yesterday.
Council: And so we ask you to think back. If this job was as abusive as you say, why did it take you a year to quit? Your situation goes along with what you wanted to experience in your current lifetime. You wanted to experience limitations to what you thought your life would be like. And upon recognizing these limitations you’d immediately change them by changing your attitude towards them, by deciding what you’re doing isn’t for you, this isn’t something you’ll settle for or accept, and you’ll move forward.
Look back in your life. How many things did you settle for? How many things did you stay with that weren’t satisfying, were abusive, or hurtful? All you wanted to do was to meet challenges in this lifetime, recognize them, and move on quickly. This is how you wanted to grow. You wanted to move on quickly, no matter how many different places or areas of your life where you found yourself in this situation. You wanted to be aware that moving on would make you feel intelligent, would make you feel that you had clarity in what you were seeing, and that you had the power to change your life. That’s the lesson you wished to experience in your current reality.
VA: I can’t understand why this owner was so abusive to me and why I’d attract this sort of behavior.
Council: You wanted all of this to happen. It’s wonderful you experienced this and now you find yourself with the ability to get yourself out of this difficulty and move forward. That’s what you wanted. With all these challenges – and some will be very little – you just want the clarity and the knowledge of what’s going on, and just move on.
VA: Do I have a past life connection to the two women I worked for?
Council: You knew both of these women in several past lives, and they were good lifetimes there. But they’ve come along to help you in your current reality by playing a role to help you go through this challenge, and help you do what you wanted to achieve in your current lifetime, and that’s just to move on.
VA: I don’t have another job lined up. I’m visualizing what I want, but I’m concerned that I may be dragging some unfinished energy with me.
Council: Now you know that all you wish to do in your current lifetime is to be satisfied, to be happy in what you do and what you create, and to move on. You aren’t dragging any unfinished energy with you. The knowledge we’ve given you here will make you aware more quickly when you find yourself in situations you don’t like. The quicker you can identify these situations, the quicker you can change them. When this goes on you’ll have experienced what you’ve wanted to experience and won’t need to experience it any longer.
VA: I don’t want to repeat the same scenario in a new job opportunity.
Council: That’s entirely up to you and depends on the choices you make.
VA: Is there an industry I should pursue?
Council: One of the things you wanted to do in this lifetime was to move around a lot. Any sort of job where you can travel is good. Whether it would be in sales, on a cruise ship, taking people on tours, or just going to different countries and learning about the people, taking minor jobs in each place, and moving on. That’s what you wanted. You didn’t want to be stuck in an office. You wanted the movement. You wanted to meet and know many people.
VA: Any insight would be much appreciated.
Council: Believe in the power of your higher self because it is you. You’re the only one that’s creating in your reality.

Forgiveness Is Your Issue, Not Abandonment
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Eleanor, whose questions follow-up on our post, Is My Current Relationship With My Soul-Contracted Life Partner? which we published in response to her earlier question. Eleanor says, I’d specifically like to know more about abandonment, as I don’t feel I’ve really moved forward with this issue.
Ever since I received your guidance in that earlier post, I’ve seen just how many abandonments I’ve experienced, both in my love life and at work. I’ve had everything from colleagues taking my ideas and becoming rich and famous, to more recently a colleague in a project I run ghosting me and the work. They’re the fourth person to leave this project. Love-wise it’s been similar, from infidelity and abuse, to lovers putting deposits on homes with me and then disappearing. I’d like to know why this abandonment has been a running theme in my life.
The Council says, You may not believe this, but your issue was not only abandonment. Your issue is abuse, feeling hurt, feeling heartbroken, and feeling alone. These are some of the feelings you brought up, because what you wanted to learn about was forgiveness.
A good thing for you to do is to go back and think of everything that made you feel abandoned, heartbroken, and abused. Ask yourself how you feel about these people who were involved. Can you do the work that’s needed now of forgiving these people? Read Pat Rodegast’s book, Emmanuel, which has a section on forgiveness. That may help you.
But the real work is not to just concentrate on abandonment. Focus on all these things that make you feel alone. When you learn to forgive, and this is a big chunk that you wanted to work on in this lifetime, take each issue and ask yourself how you feel about the people involved? What do I think they did to me? How did they make me feel? Can I get to a place of love and release this hurt? Can I forgive them, because when they treated me this way, they were going through their own challenges? And all these people agreed with me in spirit to work out this issue of abandonment with me.
Forgiveness is a big subject. It can go back to your parents, your grandparents, your siblings, schoolmates, work colleagues, friends, family, and lovers, to name a few. There’s a lot you wanted to cover because your main issue was that you wanted to learn how to forgive. And then learn how to forgive yourself for feeling the way you did about each person, being angry with them, or surprised and shocked. And the grief and anger you store in your body, can you let go of it?
Know that you’ve planned to work through this issue of forgiveness in spirit and everyone involved has agreed to this with you. You’re exactly where you want to be. Forgiveness is a big challenge. It’s always easier to start looking at someone else and how they treated you. When you can learn to forgive them, then the harder part is learning to look at yourself.
How do you forgive yourself? How did you allow this to happen? Why didn’t you speak up for yourself? Why didn’t you leave a relationship earlier? Why did you allow people to treat you like that? When you did allow this, you didn’t love yourself. We’re all here to take every challenge we have and bring love into it. You can do this. It will take a lot of work and really wanting to look at the issue of forgiving yourself. Know you set this up when you were in spirit.
Eleanor asks, Does this have something to do with past lives I’ve had, and my abusive and neglectful upbringing? The Council says it’s not just about past lives. There were lots of past lives where you were hurt and went through abandonment or love issues. But there were also many good lives. It’s not so much about what life this desire for forgiveness came from? It’s more like you asked in spirit what challenge you wanted to work on in this lifetime, and you came up with forgiveness.
As far as your abusive and neglectful upbringing is concerned, that was also planned in spirit. The feelings of not feeling good about yourself, being abused, and not being treated right started very early. This is what you set up in spirit.
Eleanor says, Is this something I chose to change in this lifetime. The Council says, Of course. You didn’t want to just go through this lifetime and experience this need for forgiveness and feel horrible without changing it and without learning to love yourself and others. We’re all here to help each other. Of course you wanted to change this.
Eleanor says, I’d also like to know what I need to do to heal this pattern, as I’ve always wanted to have a permanent life partner and the same colleagues to go forward with work-wise. The Council says if you do this work as we explained it, there’s definitely a partner out there for you, but you must start this work.
Eleanor says, I’m also wondering if I do this work, will I be able to reattract this colleague who’s just left, and also my ex-boyfriend. Or is it that in healing this pattern I grow beyond this particular colleague and ex, and attract a new (what I hope is) permanent colleague and boyfriend?
The Council says you’ll understand the answer to this question after you do some of this inner work. You can decide if you want to bring these people back into your life. And of course you can if you want to. But then you might get to a point and decide you want more. You want something new and you’ll create that. You are the creator of your life and you can have it go in any direction you want. But you must do the work because you wanted to do this so badly this lifetime. To work on forgiveness for one issue is a lot, but to pick so many issues is even bigger. If you can get to forgiving one or two people, you’ll know how to do it and the rest will come easily.
The Council closes by sending everyone love, light, energy, and happiness. We wish you all feel that we’re here to help all of you, whether we speak with you, or we’re just here sending you light. That’s what we’re all about. We’re about supporting each other and helping each other understand what you’ve picked in this lifetime, and how to give you some guidance to keep you on your path, and show you how to experience it and change the way it is, because that’s what you planned.

Doubts About My Future Career
This post answers questions from an anonymous reader who asks The Council to address some doubts they’re having about their future career. I’m working on imagining a career in the arts, which is what I want, but all I’ve realized for sure is that I want to be able to work every day with my partner, probably from home.
The Council asks if you’ve done anything to start imagining this? Have you made any plans for what you want to work on, because the decision is all yours? What do you want to work on with your partner? Have you taken little steps to begin this? Have you made plans about this? This is the beginning of how you create what you want in your life.
The anonymous reader adds they want to work at different kinds of things that will add variety and excitement to their life. The Council asks what this is and suggests writing it down. How many different things would you like to do? Don’t limit yourself. See it and have a plan on how you’d start each thing, and how one thing would be incorporated into another. It’s the planning that starts the energy for you to manifest your desires.
Anonymous says, I’d love to do creative work, but I can’t seem to settle on just one medium. I’d love to write children’s books, but I also want to teach at a private level and the university level, and perhaps enlarge my own little online craft store.
The Council says you don’t need to settle for only one medium. Imagine it all. Imagine what you create first. Do you write a book first? Do you teach first? You can create anything. It takes focus. Just put it out there you’d love to do all these things. Right now you don’t know how this will happen, but you want to do all of it. Be positive and feel your desire to have these things happen. See how each thing you want to manifest looks. How do you feel when you’re doing each thing? Create what you desire in energy first.
Anonymous says, I’d also like to have the financial stability to both dabble and live a slower life. How attainable is this kind of life for me? The Council says this kind of life is attainable for you. Your financial situation is very good now. Be grateful for this and then take it further. Imagine it. Pretend to see a bank statement with the kind of money you want in it. Don’t think of what you have now as not being enough. Be grateful for what you have and see it grow. This is how abundance will come to you.
Anonymous says it feels exciting to think about the different possibilities and The Council says this excitement is what will make the possibilities happen. Anonymous says, Especially since I found an old house in Japan that’s my ideal place to live. I keep imagining living there and making a school out of an old storehouse. But I’m feeling like I did when I was younger where I know the end goal, but I’m not sure how to get there.
The Council says you don’t have to know right now how to get where you want to go. Just keep thinking of what it will be like. Imagine how you’d decorate this house. Think about whether you’d buy the house or rent it. How would you start bringing people in to teach different subjects that would be of interest? Imagine how would you bring this into your life. Imagine yourself living in this house. What kind of neighbors do you have and are you friends with them? What’s around the house? Where do you shop? Where do you go for fun? Make your creation bigger and bigger and it will come.
Anonymous says, I’m trying to daydream a lot and stay positive, but sometimes I feel anxious about not really knowing where I’m going. Are there any other kinds of activities I should be doing besides positive thinking, daydreaming, and doing things I enjoy to help me connect with my new path, and maybe that gorgeous old house?
The Council says to write it down. Write the address of the house down. Write how you’d go about buying this house. Write about how you’d travel there. Write down what kind of career you’d want to have. Make a business plan of how you’d start this new creation once you move to Japan. When you write down words it’s very strong. It helps the energy that comes from your visualization. With your visualization you’re creating on another level. You’re creating with energy. Writing it down, whether drawing or writing the words, creates in your physical reality. By doing both you help create your desire.
Anonymous says, I think I’ve been pretty successful manifesting financial abundance and opportunities. But part of me worries that will become more difficult if I step off my current path since it’s one that offers so many privileges. The Council says instead of being grateful for what you’ve already created, by worrying about your situation you’re already bringing in fear it won’t last. You’re worried if you do something different it won’t be as good. These thoughts must change.
Anonymous closes by saying, Ideally I’d like to have enough money to live slowly and easily. Do you have any advice for me regarding manifesting this, or ways to continue experiencing financial abundance? The Council says all the direction you need is what we’ve already told you. Go into it slowly. Have fun with it. The lighter you can feel about what you’re creating, the faster it will come to you. Create in energy and create in the physical. Use both ways to create.

Why Can’t I Manifest My Dream Job?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Starfish, who says since childhood they’ve been hard-working in their studies and in their profession, but I think I’m not receiving enough for my skillset and hard work.
The Council says working very hard has come from experiences you had as a child. This has set up a deep belief that you must do everything you can to work hard to make things happen. There’s also the thought that what you have is never enough. You must work harder or have more training in whatever field you decide to go into. You’re always focusing on what you should do, how you should do it, and you believe you must be very well prepared. This gets you asking why things aren’t easier and why your dream job isn’t being manifested. You believe there’s more that has to be done.
Starfish says, I come from a humble background, I’ve struggled a lot, I’ve fought to do well professionally, and I’m giving it my full effort. Is there a reason I’m not able to manifest my dream job or career? The Council says it’s because you have a deep belief you don’t have enough training. You’re always thinking about what else you have to do. You have everything you need to be successful in whatever field you want to go into.
Work on your belief system. Believe you are well-trained. Believe you’re prepared. Believe you can do what you want. Thinking there’s more to do stops the manifesting of what you want. Focus on the belief that you’re ready. There’s nothing else you have to do. Visualization will help, but you’re truly ready. When you truly believe that what you’ve gone through to get to this point is enough, you will manifest your dream job.
Starfish asks The Council if they should be doing something different that will bring them closer to where they want to be professionally and financially. The Council repeats that it’s changing the focus, the thought, and the belief you’re already there. You’re ready to bring into your life anything you wish.
Starfish asks, Should I continue doing my current job, or does The Council see entrepreneurship for me down the line? The Council says down the line you can go in the direction of entrepreneurship, but right now your focus needs to be more on doing the energy work. Anything you want to manifest you need to visualize. The imagination of having what you desire and how it feels must come first.
Starfish wonders if setting up their own business or further education is required to take them to the next level. The Council says you’re at the level you need to be. Further education is not needed, even though you’re always thinking you don’t have enough or you’re not prepared enough.
Visualize what you desire and change your beliefs to the fact that you are ready. You’ve done everything you need to do and now you can make your dreams happen.

Do My Current Career Struggles Relate to Job Karma?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Adhvazila, who asks about their professional life. They say, I’ve been struggling on the professional front for quite some time. Does this have anything to do with job karma and will it end any time soon?
The Council says they don’t like to use the word karma. Karma is really just a choice you make. In many of your lives you had it very easy, didn’t have to work, and had no patience for people who lived by standards that weren’t up to yours. In your current life you thought you’d like to experience the difficulty, the struggle, and how to accept it and change it. And that’s where you are right now.
We see you coming out of these career difficulties when you become grateful for the job you have, even if that’s not something that’s easy. Focus on the fact that you are working and that you can support yourself. Show this attitude of gratefulness and then begin to look elsewhere for other jobs. Put out there the kind of work you’d like to do. Show patience and kindness to everyone you meet because of the way you were in other lives. This is what you wanted to express in your current lifetime.
Adhvazila says, There’s a sense of loss of direction and currently my situation is also quite stressful. The Council says when you’re feeling stresssful it’s good to take deep breathes every day. Be grateful for the job you have. If the stress comes from your work or if it comes from the people you work with, be patient and kind and you’ll see the stress reduce.
Adhvazila asks, Will I ever be able to earn a good living in a less stressful environment? The Council’s advice is to love what you have and you’ll come out of the situation you’re in.

Why Can’t I Find Employment in the Field of Archeology?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Indiana Jones, who says they have many interests but they don’t work out, even when I’m passionate about them. I’ve completed a degree in Archeology and have tried everything to increase my chances of gaining employment in this field and in museums, but after seven years I’ve been unsuccessful. I’ve studied other career paths and I’ve not been able to gain employment in those fields either.
The Council says you’ve done Archeology in other lifetimes. In an ancient Egyptian lifetime that’s related to your current life, you helped to build tombs for Pharaohs and their gold. You located places in the desert where tombs could be buried. This love of what you did in Egypt has come out in your current life.
At this point we’d suggest joining organizations like cruises that take people around the world. Take any sort of touring job, learn everything about it, and then be able to take people around. This will give you a lot of movement and travel, which is what you wanted in this lifetime.
You also brought the ability to teach many different subjects into this lifetime. Learn about what’s going on in the world now and teach about it. Even if you did this in small groups or started to read about something and tell your friends about it would be helpful.
Going on trips will bring you to a place where something in the field of Archeology will open up. But first go on tours for a short time. Find jobs where you can learn about different places. Even if you were to work in a museum and be a guide and learn about history and different places, it will bring you to what you wanted to experience again in Archeology.
You also have a talent for writing. Whether you write poetry, or make up stories, or write about places that you visit, you have the ability to go in that direction.
Listen to the entire 4-minute audio recording of our session with The Council (below) to hear all their guidance for Indiana Jones and the rest of us and let us know what you feel about it, or ask The Council your own question in a Comment box at the bottom of most blog pages.

Why Did My Brother’s Spirit End His Rugby Career with an Injury?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Phindezwa, who’d like to better understand her role in her younger brother’s life. A few years ago he was injured, which led to the end of his professional rugby career. Since then he’s struggled to find a meaningful career path and I’m currently supporting him, but I want him to be fully independent. Phindezwa asks why her brother’s spirit chose to end his rugby career and experience major difficulties over the last few years.
The Council says your brother’s spirit chose this path to be an example for others. It was pre-planned in spirit for him to have a rugby career he felt good about and to remember how that felt. Then your brother’s spirit wanted him to experience a feeling of failure, to not understand what happened, and not be able to move on. Once that was felt, you chose to be the creative and comforting one. It’s good that you’re playing this comforting role. But when your brother is trying too hard to find another career, almost out of desperation and sadness because that’s not what he wanted in his life, this makes it difficult to bring in this other career.
It’s good for you to talk to your brother as much as possible and share any ideas you and he might have about his new career. He can still have a career in sports if he wants, but not as a professional athlete. He needs to have a feeling of: I experienced the accomplishments I achieved, I believe I created this change in my life, and now there’s something more I can accomplish. There’s something out there that can make me feel even better than I did playing rugby. When he finds this he wants to show people that face the same sort of loss, whether being fired from a job or not finding one, how to go about overcoming this loss.
When your brother is able to pick himself up and try almost anything until the right position comes along, and if he faces everything he tries with the idea of seeing how it goes, and if this isn’t it then it will be something else. Each job leads him closer to what he wants to do. But we suggest somehow your brother keeps looking for work in the area of sports.
Phindezwa asks what her role is in her brother’s life. The Council says it’s to be a supportive person, the one that talks ideas through with him, the one that lifts his spirit, and the one that teaches him he can create whatever he wants. He was good at one thing. Now he’s in a place where he can be great again at something else.
You’re also there to see how your brother’s life is affecting you. Do you like being in the role of a supportive person? What feelings does it bring up in you? Know that you and your brother have pre-planned these experiences in spirit. You’re in the role you desired to experience. You wanted to see how to be supportive and yet step back and let your brother find his own way, but always be there for him. You’ll be showing your brother love and accepting him exactly the way he is. As you accept him and you know there’s a new career for him, he’ll begin to feel that.
As soon as your brother can create independence in his life, it will be there for him.

How Can I Make Sense of My Life Problems and Move Forward?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, JD, who asks for help making sense of problems in his life and how he can move forward. He says: I have numerous symptoms of inattentive ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder), maladaptive daydreaming, and high social anxiety. When I was young I developed double vision, and in my mid-teens I developed incontinence, possibly due to consuming a lot of liquid one day and something in my urinary system broke.
The Council says all these ailments JD is complaining about were set up by you in spirit before you came into this life because you wanted to be more self-accepting and confident. This involved your taking a physical and emotional path to make you feel less than who you truly are. With all these ailments there are many ways you can help yourself, but what you wanted to experience was these ailments and then to find a way other than medical to deal with these symptoms.
Your body is always trying to talk to you to let you know when it doesn’t feel right, to let you know where energy is stuck, and what needs your attention. Because you’re having physical problems throughout your body, The Council recommends you take one section of your body at a time. Talk to that part of your body and ask it what it’s trying to show you. Be patient. You’ll receive an answer.
If you don’t agree with what your body is telling you or you’d like to move on because the lesson is too painful, you can tell your body that you’d like another way to learn. You have to communicate with your body rather than looking for an answer outside yourself. When your body creates so many difficulties, it’s trying to find answers to emotional problems. What does this make you feel like? You set up this situation in spirit because you wanted to learn about self-confidence, which we see you don’t have because you feel less than everyone else.
After you talk to the body we suggest you meditate with your eyes closed and ask your body what it needs. No matter what your body shows you, even if it shows you a peanut, put this image where that part of your body hurts. There’s a meaning to what your body shows you whether you understand it or not. It’s your subconscious trying to give you answers.
We suggest you do the chakra breathing meditation often and concentrate on the chakra of the area you’re working on.
On a physical level, Chiropractic and Craniosacral adjustments will align your body to allow energy to flow through it properly. When your body hurts it’s the way that part of your body tells you it has no energy and you’re not allowing enough energy to come through. These adjustments will help you get the physical energy moving. This will take a lot of work on your part.
Then work on feeling confident. What can you do that makes you feel proud of yourself? Is it a hobby? Do you have good intuition? Is it eating well? Is it a hobby you’d like to do only for yourself and then develop it and see how good you can get at this? This will allow you to feel joy and feel kinder to yourself. When you get into this vibration it will allow your body to relax, it allows the blockages to be moved, and it allows the energy to come into your body. This will begin your healing.
JD says, in my early 20s I developed a persistent sty on my right eye and then a ringing in my right ear that I can’t really hear out of. The Council says this is your body telling you you’re not seeing and hearing things clearly. You’re experiencing life through a filter you’ve set up for yourself that makes you feel less than others.
JD says I think sitting on the computer and using a mouse tired out my hand and arm and the pain went all the way up to my ear. Once again it feels like something inside me broke. I’m concerned about all these physical problems because I’m not even 30 years old yet.
The Council says they can assure JD nothing inside of him is broken. It’s stuck energy. It’s the emotional healing you need concerning how you see yourself and how you move forward to change your situation. This is a big challenge you’ve created for yourself, but you never create these challenges without having the answers available to you.
JD asks what the source of all these problems is and is there anything he can do about it? The Council repeats that a lot of meditation will help, even if you can just sit and picture beautiful white light coming in the top of your head, going down your arms to your fingers and down your legs to your toes to begin to clear out the stuck energy.
JD says I only earn a minimum amount and I’d like to earn $50,000 a year. However, the problems I’ve mentioned have resulted in me having little experience, skills, connections, or education. The Council says you’ll need more education in your future.
We’d like you and everyone else to understand on a group level we’ve all agreed to be in this time where there are employment problems, health problems, and financial problems. Because everyone has agreed to experience these problems, when everyone works on themselves and their challenges, things will begin to change. You’ll not only heal yourself, but you also heal the entire reality you’re living in. Change will begin. There will be jobs in the future. There will be better health. There will be less tension in this world.
You’ve all created this situation and this quiet time so there can be introspection that allows you to search yourselves and see what’s truly important – to feel more love for your family and friends. Bringing in this love and having these kinds of thoughts will change everything.
JD asks for advice on what he can do to earn more money. He says: I think I might have to find an alternative to a typical nine to five job and work from home because of my numerous problems, but I have no idea what to do. The Council says it won’t be necessary in the future to work from home. This isn’t what you set up in spirit and isn’t what’s wanted by your higher self. Do the work we’ve recommended and you’ll begin to feel the change in how you think, how you feel physically, and what you’re able to bring into your life.

Is a Career in Human Resources Right for Me?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Denisa, who wants to know if they can provide a spiritual perspective on her struggle to find good jobs. She says I don’t understand why I have problems with this and I’m especially afraid of interviews. I’m at the point where I want to move forward in my career and my life, but I feel stuck, unsure, and overwhelmed.
The Council says the reason you’re having difficulty comes from a past life in New York where you were in a large, very religious, and strict family. You were sent out into the world at a very early age to earn a living. Many of the places where you worked took advantage of you by not paying you or paying you very little. It became very difficult for you to go out and find work, which is what’s affecting you in your current life.
The subconscious memory of this past life is affecting how you feel about work and getting a good job. In this past life you always wanted a better job, a job where you were appreciated, a job where your employer would keep you coming back day after day.
Coming into your current life you created a situation where you’d have this uncomfortable feeling and work through it by having a job and not being afraid to move forward by applying for different positions. In your subconscious mind you expect to fail and so it’s very uncomfortable for you. What you wanted to do to heal this memory was to feel that feeling and then go forward and do it anyway and see that you’re accepted, which would give you more self-confidence, which you didn’t have in that past life.
Denisa says she has worked mostly as an Accountant, but now she’d like to start working in Human Resources. Is this move the correct direction for me now or is there another career path ready for me? The Council says Human Resources is a wonderful career path for you because you bring forward feelings from that past life where you had difficulty finding and keeping a job. In Human Resources you can help other people find positions they are good at and this will heal the feelings of being stuck that’s coming from the past life.
Go forward with this career in Human Resources. Learn what you can. Prepare yourself for this career move and you can become very successful. Begin to have confidence in yourself now that you know where these negative feelings are coming from. Know that you chose, in spirit, to have these feelings so you could heal them and turn your life around.
Denisa asks what spiritual or life lessons do I need to learn from this situation. The Council answers, confidence, believing in yourself, and helping others.
Denisa asks if The Council sees her in a new job later this year. The Council says it’s very difficult to give a time frame because you’ll create how slow or how fast you go on your path. If you do the inner work, meditate on this move, and follow through with your gut feelings, by next summer you can create a whole new path.
The Council thanks Denisa for coming forward with these emotions to work on them and heal them. As you heal them you help others who will heal from what you accomplish. We learn new realities in spirit and humans can climb the ladder of success with whatever they’re trying to heal from past lives. One energy always touches another.

Is Leaving My Current Job Advisable Now?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, MindfulLoving, whos says that due to the current COVID crisis I’ve begun having a lot of anxiety issues related to job stress. I also feel restless and can’t sleep at night because of stress and anxiety.
The Council says many, many people are under stress from COVID. Understand that everyone has agreed in spirit to experience this. How you handle it is your choice. You can meditate, pray, and think better feeling thoughts about not going into the panic and anxiety or let this overtake you. The #1 thing to understand is that you called in COVID to see how you’d handle it, how you’d change your thoughts and trust more, believe, and visualize things getting better.
MindfulLoving says they’re worried they’ll start having panic attacks if the situation continues. The Council says the situation doesn’t matter. What matters is how you handle any situation. Whether it’s COVID, loss of family or friends, or loss of a career you want, what you chose to experience was how you’re going to handle the situation. When things get hard to handle, will you stop and examine it and think of things that make you feel better, and change the direction of your thoughts and energy?
MindfulLoving says they have a young child and I think I’m unable to manage everything at the present time. The Council says you can manage it all. It’s your focus that will determine what you can handle.
MindfulLoving says to cope with the stress they’ve begun reading books about meditation and mindfulness. I also read a lot about stock trading and entrepreneurship. I want to be financially independent and I have some savings, but not a lot. Can The Council guide me if leaving my current job would be advisable? The Council says at this moment it’s not advisable to leave your job. Treat your job as something that’s there to help you during this time. Try not to stress about your job. Do what you can.
MindfulLoving asks The Council if the path of entrepreneurship is for me and will I succeed in this? The Council says you’ll only succeed if you change your thoughts about how you look at your situation. It’s your wish to find more positive reactions to everything that happens. When you can get hold of this, in the future you’ll succeed in what you choose.
MindfulLoving asks what field should I be in and when should I make the switch? The Council says time-wise we always say it’s up to you how you manage to focus on what you want and to focus on the positive. Do the inner work of visualizing everything being okay. This will happen as you practice your positive thoughts and visualizations. Then you’ll get more ideas about what you want to do and the kind of work you want.
When you came into this reality you mentioned you wanted to teach others. Whatever field you go into, you’d learn it and then pass the information on and make it easier for other people. Don’t stress so much about what field you want to go into.
Focus on yourself and know if you believe you can take care of your child, you will. If you believe you can’t take care of your child, you won’t be able to. Work on your beliefs. If you believe you can handle this job, not forever but for a time, and then it’ll change and something better will come along. You’ll bring this in. It’s what you choose to focus on daily that matters.

Can I Trust a Colleague Who’s Been Excluding Me From Projects?
This post answers questions for The Council from an anonymous reader who has a work colleague who recently began excluding them from work projects they expected to be part of. They ask The Council’s advice if this colleague is someone I can still trust.
The Council says this person appears to go through periods of being for you and then against you, which has to do with emotions this person is working through from other times. It’s okay to remain acquainted with this person, but because of what they’re going through it’s unwise to share private emotional situations that come up in your life.
At this time, movement is necessary. What you’ve planned to experience at work hasn’t gone quite in the direction you planned and it’s time to begin looking for another place of employment. The timing is very good for this.
The anonymous reader says they received a job offer recently, but didn’t take it and now I’m having second thoughts. The Council advises if this position remains available to see if they can still get it. If it’s not available, start looking in other areas for work. And when you get an offer that feels good to you, which you will, even if it’s scary to make a change, we suggest you move forward with this. There’s a whole new path available for you. New people will come into your life and there will be new lessons to learn. This will be a great learning time for you.
The Council suggests this person look for any position that has to do with movement, either moving material or people around, or perhaps moving temporarily from one place to another. The important thing for you right now is to meet many new people and develop new friendships. This is part of what’s been set up for you. Movement is needed in your energetic field to create what you want.

Do Souls Need Permission from Other Souls to Learn from the Other Soul’s Lifetimes?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Mr. Wheeler, who says since we’re all connected I’ve heard spirits can gain experiences from the lifetimes of other souls by downloading or imprinting another soul’s lifetime into their own soul. And he asks if this is something that requires permission from the soul lending the experiences because this sounds intrusive?
The Council says this downloading Mr. Wheeler is talking about doesn’t exist. When each soul goes through its life and returns to spirit, all the information, all that spirit’s thoughts, all the scenes from that life come with them. Because we’re all one in spirit we can all see what comes back with each soul. There isn’t any hiding what happens in a lifetime and there aren’t any secrets. We all learn from each soul who returns to spirit. The imprinting you ask about isn’t necessary and doesn’t happen. We’re all one and we learn from each other.
On a different subject Mr. Wheeler says he feels like he’s had a lifetime that took place in the early part of the 20th century, perhaps in America. I also feel I’ve had one or more lives around Scandanavia that take place around the last two-thirds of the 20th century.
The Council sees Mr. Wheeler living in America in the early 1900s. In this lifetime you belonged to a group of people who helped new settlers build houses and start farms. You were very good at construction, making plans, and teaching people how to begin a new life. It was in the role of a teacher that you lived that life. We see a life in Ireland that’s connected to this life. Again there was farming and raising animals. You also went around helping people get ahead and learn how to live and support themselves by farming and selling goods.
In your current life it would be good to pick a subject you find pleasure in, whether it’s construction, sewing, cooking, farming, painting, or writing. Learn a craft and help people support themselves, grow, and be proud of what they do. Your purpose in your current life is to bring forward what you learned in these past lives in America and in Ireland. The role of teacher and helper is the choice you made in many lifetimes. Learn something you’re interested in, even if you start it as a hobby, and take it forward and share it.
We don’t see any lifetimes in Scandanavia. What comes forward is the lives that are affecting what you planned for your current lifetime. If you lived past lives in Scandanavia they’re not so important in your current life.

Why Can’t I Find Someone Who Loves Me?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, N, who says she’s been told by many mediums that her mission concerns education and she just landed a competitive job in higher education. However this job is in a small town and for me, a perpetually single woman, it’s statistically unlikely I’ll meet my ideal partner there.
I’ve been dreaming, envisioning, praying for, and trying to find a partner for the better part of the last decade with no success. Not even a single relationship and this is killing me inside to the point where I don’t care about this education mission anymore. Why was I able to create a job in higher education I didn’t care about, but the thing I want most, which is to find someone who loves, desires, and chooses me fails completely?
The Council says coming into this lifetime what you wanted was a loving relationship with a partner and a family. You put out there that after you found your desired partner you’d then create a career. We see you intended having a fun career that has a lot to do with younger children, not higher education.
It’s wonderful that you prayed for a relationship, but when you saw what you were trying to create wasn’t happening, did you try looking at your life differently? Your job in higher education lowered your vibration because your spirit knew this wasn’t what you wanted to create first. The Council says you wanted to move around a bit, have an adventure, find a partner while you were on this adventure, and then create your lives together.
In your imagination where would you like to visit or live? And when you travel to these places, don’t go out of desperation. Go out of a sense of ease, expectation, and love you’ll find the relationship you’re looking for.
There’s not enough joy in your current job. You can’t find great happiness and fulfillment in a career you feel you don’t want. Your life has stalled and a change must be made. You have to look at your life differently. The vibration you carry around with you affects your relationship, your career, your health, and family. Your #1 focus needs to be finding a relationship
With years of praying, imagining, and hoping for a relationship and nothing happens, your vibration becomes dense and the feeling of great joy and interest in other subjects can’t come through. Continue to look for the relationship you want, try to enjoy the job you’ve found, and think about doing this job until you find where you want to live. Think about traveling and finding your partner on your travels. When you think about your life this way your vibration begins to rise and you become more of a magnet to new ideas and have the courage to go on this journey.
Begin to look around at other places you’d consider visiting or would like to live and go there. You need to get out of where you are. You don’t think you’ll find a relationship in the small town where you live because you know somewhere in your subconscious you set up this life in spirit to find a partner on a journey and there would be lots of happiness and fun traveling and learning together.
You can stay in your current job for now. There’s no rush to move. Don’t be so frustrated thinking this isn’t what you wanted because this changes your vibration and makes it difficult to create what you want. Enjoy your work and be grateful for it any way you can. Think of it as where you are right now and try to enjoy it knowing you won’t be stuck there, research where you’d like to visit, and then begin to travel.
The most important thing is for you to change the way you feel, which is stuck someplace that’s a punishment in a career you don’t like. All of this is in the way of creating the relationship you desire.

Am I Doing Something to Block the Allowing My Abundance?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, T, who says the last time she spoke with The Council her career was on the upswing, but shortly afterwards it steadily went down hill. T says she knows she attracts everything that comes to her and she’s trying to softly focus on the career and compensation that’s in her vortex of creation (a phrase coined by Abraham, a spirit guide channeled by Esther Hicks), which is basically all the things she’s thinking about and hoping for. T asks for The Council’s advice and if she’s doing something that’s blocking her from receiving abundance.
The Council feels T should plan more and write more material about what she wants to accomplish step by step. While T wants her career to be successful, she’s focusing on not having as much money as she would like. So instead of creating what you want in your career, you’re focusing on the money and there’s some fear in that. There’s also the fear of success. If you get what you desire, where will it take you and what will it be like?
The Council advises T to take her vision further. How does it begin? Do you have material ready to backup your plans? Picture with your imagination what success would be like. The Council feels what’s holding T back is her fear of succeeding rather than failing. When you focus on creation and feel positive and happy about what you’re creating, the universe will bring you more of that and easily take you to the next step.
T says the reality that she needs money to pay bills really has her attention. The Council points out that her focus on the money she needs is her reality rather than her creativity. Use more creative visualization and write down what you visualize step by step. What happens first? How do you create it? What do you want to create? Be clearer on that. How are you going about getting what you want? Do you need help with it? Do you need to meet the right people to help you on your path? What do you want to put out into the universe? Do you want to teach? Do you want to show people things? Do you want to make things? Have no limits on your thoughts and go with it.
You fear succeeding because you don’t know how your career will develop. Create any way you want in your imagination and the universe will step in and make it happen. Let go of your fear and focus on making what you want happen.

Confused About Gender Identity and Career
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Harmony, who says he’s been confused about his gender identity. He feels more gender fluid or bi-gender and asks for The Council’s take on this.
The Council says they think it’s wonderful Harmony is questioning his gender identity. Everyone who comes into this Earth reality has both genders – it’s what you choose to work with according to the challenges you pick in this lifetime. There are many people who go back and forth and it’s wonderful because you’re thinking about the whole you.
Harmony asks if he might be making up his female feelings in his head. The Council says not to minimize making things up in your head. You do this because something interests you and its calling you. Explore this and go with these feelings. Does it feel good? Do you fight it? Or is it pleasant for you and gives you joy?
Next Harmony asks what he should be pursuing as far as a career. The Council says there’s never a ‘supposed to’ or ‘what you should be pursuing’ as far as work it concerned. Before you came into this lifetime you wanted to experience many things and the dual gender was one of them. You wanted many opportunities in different careers and to travel to different places. Don’t limit yourself. Go with whatever has your interest at the moment and it will lead you to something else. The purpose of the variety you seek in this life was to give you joy, not hardship. Try everything.
When you try something and it’s boring, then move on to something else. If you try something and it makes you happy then stay with it until you feel a change is necessary. When you find something you love to do, do more of it.
The Council closes by saying you brought many talents with you and because of what you want, explore all of it. Don’t limit yourself.

Will a Move to My Country of Origin Be Positive for My Family?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader who goes by the name, SoulPeace, who’s thinking about moving from the USA to the country where her parents live, and she asks if this move will be a positive one for her and her family.
The Council says the positive change SoulPeace is looking for would have to come from within her. Your attitude and hopes for this move, what you focus on from the moment you make the decision to go, if you see this move as peaceful and loving, then you will create the move this way. If you go with fear there will be discontent and relationships where you don’t get along, then you’ll create this sort of move instead. The Council feels this would be a wonderful move if SoulPeace can go with the correct thoughts and feelings. If you go knowing the move will work it will be a wonderful move.
SoulPeace is also thinking about retiring from her current Information Technology job and starting another profession like investment banking or something to do with the stock market because she believes this might give her more time with her child and her family. The Council says this would also be a wonderful change and they see this working out for SoulPeace, but it depends on how she creates this in her life. They say a change all around will be very beneficial. If SoulPeace thinks of these changes as a new beginning and keeps seeing her life the way she wants it to be, The Council says it will manifest.
SoulPeace asks about the timing for this move and The Council says to get back into meditation. It’ll change the way you think, bring in a positive attitude, bring clarity, and it will open the proper doors for you. Think about the decision to move, give yourself a little time, and then start the wheels in motion.
Listen to the entire audio recording of our session with The Council (below) to hear all their guidance for SoulPeace and let us know how you feel about it, or ask your own question.

Will I Find Meaningful Work in Addition to Motherhood?
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Sara Jane, who says her life is in transition and she feels on the brink of something new. She says it’s exciting, but there’s also anxiety because she’s the mother of three young children and financially dependent on her husband. Lately she feels something beyond motherhood calling her, but she can’t figure out what it is. Sara Jane never felt she had a calling for a career outside of being a mother, which she says is a great job, but doesn’t pay anything.
The Council says being a mother prepared you for what you want to do with the rest of your life. One of the things you wanted to do was teach children. If you don’t want to go back to school and get a degree in teaching, you need to be around children in any capacity. You can show them much love and understanding. You wanted to reach out to children. And so it’s good you chose to become a mother first to understand children and go in this direction.
Even though your spirit was planning to teach children, from what The Council sees in your other life times recently, it would also be good for you to show adults around. Explain the environment to them. You can learn about history and be a guide in a museum or be a tour guide. Teach and show children or adults, giving them direction, understanding, and knowledge. In the future this could lead to taking people to different places on tours if this is something you want.
She asks if she’ll find meaningful work in addition to motherhood in this lifetime and The Council says, yes, if you begin to look and give yourself time to research different positions and what you need to acquire them.
Sara Jane asks if her main purpose in life was to be a mother, and The Council says it was part of her main purpose, but not all of it.
Sara Jane says part of the transition she’s facing likely includes leaving her marriage and she’s anxious to know if she’ll be self-sufficient and happy creating a life for herself and her children some day. The Council says they don’t see you leaving your marriage right away. When you go through more of your transition perhaps there will be a more positive change in your marriage so you won’t need to leave your husband.
The Council says if Sara Jane is open to learning more in all parts of her life, they feel her ideas about what she wants from herself and her husband will change. And they advise giving the marriage time.

Helping Finding More Fulfilling Employment
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader who goes by the name, BiggerThanMeMovement who read our post, How Can I Find Work I Feel Passionate About, and says she’s in a similar situation. She went to school for exactly what she does for a living and she enjoyed the work at first. Bigger says their compensation is very generous and this is the main thing that keeps her on the job.
The Council asks Bigger if she feels grateful for her situation, because when you have a job and many people are unemployed, and when you’re well compensated for the work you do, the first step in making a change is being grateful for what you have.
The Council says if you have negative thoughts and you feel like you don’t want to be in your situation, your negative vibration will keep you from creating more positive circumstances for yourself. You have to think of all the wonderful parts of this situation you’re in and how they can blossom for you. The answer for Bigger might be a different unexpected position in the company she already works for. It doesn’t necessarily mean switching companies.
The Council says you’ll always create for yourself what your higher spirit knows will be good for you to experience. They repeat that the first step toward change is to be grateful for what you have. And they add that this is another example of a spirit who has come into this lifetime to learn to create what they are looking for.
The Council asks if Bigger feels happy knowing there’s something better waiting for her even if she has no idea what it is? Do you feel the excitement and the joy of this. This is the vibration you need to attract what you desire. When you’re in the vibration of dreading going to work and feeling like this job is no longer for you, this will be in the way of you bringing in more of what you desire.
Bigger says she had to take two weeks off work a few months ago because her personal and work life had become so hectic. The Council asks if Bigger was able to relax and experience fun during this vacation. Did you know this break was very needed, would give you the strength to go on, and in going on and in being grateful you’d create what you want? And The Council adds they see a trip on the water will be very good for Bigger.
Bigger says after the vacation she went back to work and pushed through, but I feel as though I’m at another breaking point. I’m applying for other jobs, but nothing has come through yet. The Council says how can anything come through when you feel you’re at a breaking point? You’ve created this whole scenario in spirit so you’d learn how to truly create. This is when you turn to the higher vibration of being grateful for what you have and being open to whatever will bring you more joy. Be excited about your situation in the present moment and then you’ll find another job.
Bigger says they’re afraid to quit their job because they’ll lose the stability they have and The Council says fear is not the way to accomplish the change you want. You are the only one that makes yourself miserable by staying at your job. Change your attitude about your job. Change how you look at it. Whether you feel you fit in at your job or not, you should constantly think you’re creating a new future. You should be thinking about what gets you to a higher vibration? What makes you happy? That is creating.
Bigger closes by says it’s heart-wrenching to work at a job where I don’t fit in. The Council says this kind of thinking is getting in your own way. You chose this path to become the creator. Now it’s time, from your higher spirit’s knowledge of what you want, to move forward. And when you don’t move forward you become more uncomfortable and things happen that make you not want to be at this job. These are just little signs that you’ve created to get you to move.
Bless the people around you, wish them love, and wish them happiness. Stay in the vibration of getting excited and you’ll be creating the next step for you. The Council ends this session by saying if Bigger does the inner work, in a short time they’ll be much happier and very surprised.

Career Guidance for a University Professor Who Feels Stuck
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader who goes by the initials, PE, who’s looking for career advice. They say they’ve followed an academic path and work as a university professor, but they’re losing inspiration for what they do even though they started out loving it. The academic work helped them grow intellectually, but now they feel stuck.
The Council says the reason PE feels stuck is there’s no travel in connection with their work. Having the knowledge they possess was a pre-birth plan, but there was also a pre-birth plan to teach, and one of the places they wished to teach was London. Perhaps if you went there for a visit and inquired about work, opportunities would be extended to you and would bring your career on a different path and widen what you know. There’s more to learn for you about people and about history.
Before you make a trip it would be a good idea to study historical places you find interesting and you’d like to visit. As you go to these places and speak to people there, opportunities will become available to you without your even trying for them. The Council sees many opportunities waiting for you, but travel is necessary. Trips to Europe will take your career to a new level.
You wanted to teach in your current lifetime, but there was travel associated with your teaching. As you progress along your path you wanted to find different sources of information to add to the way you approach your teaching. These new ideas will bring new awareness and self-discovery to you and help others to discover themselves. It’s time for you to take the knowledge you have and put it out there in a simpler, down to earth, humorous and refreshing way.
Research history. What parts of history are you attracted to? There are many places in history you wished to experience in this lifetime. Read up on the places you’re interested in or watch films. The ones your spirit feels you’re ready for will call to you and you’ll expand your path by making these trips. Teach in different places and in different ways and along the way you’ll also learn.
Listen to the entire 6-minute audio recording of our session with The Council (below) to hear all their guidance for PE and the rest of us, and let us know what you feel about it.

Reaching Self-Realization Through a Third Eye Chakra Meditation
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader who goes by the name, Seeking Truth, who says during meditation they see their Third Eye opening and the colors Blue, Indigo, and sometimes Yellow. A meditation center that Seeking Truth visits told them it looks like they’re trying to connect with the divine through their Third Eye rather than through the Crown (7th Chakra) and it will be difficult for them to reach self-realization.
The Council says it doesn’t matter which chakra you use during meditation in order to connect with the divine. Many people connect with their higher self, God, or powerful force through the Heart Chakra. The Council feels that as Seeking Truth continues to meditate they will connect with the divine and it becomes more difficult when you place limits on yourself that you have to connect through a specific chakra. You are always connected to the divine. And it’s not commonly known that inside each chakra you can find an additional 7 chakras (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Purple).
You can connect to the divine through prayer, you can connect in your dreams, you can connect by staring at trees and appreciating their beauty, you can connect by staring at the sky or the stars, you can connect by watching animals, or appreciating babies. When you see these and other things and realize that you and it is part of the divine, you are connected to that divinity no matter what way you use to get there.
In addition to the ways The Council already mentioned to connect with the divine they also recommend prayer, and the meditations we’ve posted here for balancing and aligning your chakras. A good way to work on your Crown chakra is to close your eyes, look up to the top of your head, begin to pray for a divine connection, and imagine a beautiful White or Gold light coming into your head from above.
Seeking Truth finishes with a question about better paying job offers they’ve been receiving, but they’re reluctant to accept them because they have a young child and their current job offers them a lot of freedom to be with the child. The Council advises Seeking Truth to stay with their current job for now because the freedom to be with the child that this job offers is needed right now. The Council adds that Seeking Truth will only be paid less for a limited time and it’s good to spend as much time as possible with their child.

Questions About Changing Careers, and About a Relationship
This post answers questions for The Council from a reader named, Roshan, who says he’s 34 years old and about to enter a new 7-year cycle. The Council says they find it very interesting that many people in our reality believe a cycle changes every 7 years. The Council asks if this means you can’t have great changes in 5 years or 3 years. You can gain wisdom and knowledge when you become aware of them. When you want answers and you look for them, they’ll always be given to you.
Roshan says he’s been doing corporate IT his whole adult life, but earlier this year he took some training in energy work and spirituality. Now he’d like to start a business using this training and he asks The Council if this new line of work is a good career switch for him.
The Council says the energy work and spiritual work is a good path for Roshan and that he can succeed in it. If you continue to learn different ways to teach people and see them change their lives, you’ll not only feel satisfaction in helping these people, but you’ll also learn by observing them as you show each person great love and their potential.
Never stop learning as much as you can. Take classes that work with energy. Take classes that show you how to motivate people without pushing them beyond what they’re interested in or without insisting they work on this motivation in a specific way. If you give your students the freedom to learn the best way for them, you teach them independence and give them faith in themselves. These students will learn not to be dependent on you, but to find their own way.
The Council suggests starting out by practicing with friends. Talk to small groups of friends about what you believe in and what you want to do. These friends will tell others and your work will grow by word of mouth initially.
Don’t keep what you learn to yourself. Don’t be afraid to teach the secrets of how people can change their lives and get ahead. Many people won’t share what they learn because they’re afraid people will learn what they have to teach and won’t need them any longer. Teach with love and confidence and help your students and clients grow. Share what you learn that helps you feel good.
The Council doesn’t suggest leaving your IT work right away and not having an income. This would be a hardship. Be grateful for the IT work. It gives you the abundance you need to live your daily life and take classes. When you’re ready to leave the IT work, you’ll know it’s time.
Roshan says after many years being single he finally found the woman he thought would be his partner even though they only spent a few days in each other’s company. She lived in another country and the pull was so strong he moved there, but to his dismay she found someone else.
The Council says Roshan and this woman have had other lifetimes together. They both agreed in spirit that she would come into your life to lift your energy so you could go on and learn new things and believe in yourself. The Council says of course you’d want this woman to be your partner, but that wasn’t part of your spiritual agreement. Remember how it felt to be with this woman and how you’re energy lifted. This was the purpose of your coming together. You don’t have to be with a particular person to feel your energy rise. She was the light that turned on this energy for you. That energy is within you.
The Council says they believe Roshan has limiting relationship beliefs. You believe it will take a long time to find a partner, or perhaps not find a partner at all. When you find yourself limiting your beliefs, change your focus, change your thinking. You are working to lift your energy and bring more light into your life. The correct person will feel your light and know you’ve made an agreement to come together when you’re both ready. And you’ll draw in the perfect partner.
The Council says Roshan has ahead of him many of the things you desire in your current lifetime. If you do the inner work, focus, and lift your energy, you’ll have what you desire.
The Council closes this session by reminding Cynthia and Bob they’re on a path to bring knowledge, and light, and feelings of love and hope to people who are drawn to us. They say our desire was to be of service and we’re doing this. This brings The Council great joy, and they hope we feel it also.
